This is by far the best cheesesteak in Washington State. It's on par with Philly for me and it shows. This has to be the best cheesesteak I have tried in Seattle. I would rate this place a 4.3/5. You walk up to a window to order and then you wait outside for them to call your number. The ambiance is just quick and easy to go food. Make sure to get their secret item menu! We got their Big Ben. The cheesesteak was not only humongous, but it was packed full of flavor. Every bite was super cheesy and meaty. It was absolutely delicious. I could only eat half of it and save the other half for the next day. Calozzi's Cheesesteak is hands down the best cheesesteak that I have tried in this area. I'm sure it's better in PA, but for Washington State, it is truly delicious. You order at the window on North side of the shop and pickup at the window on the South side of the shop. There used to be limited indoor seating but that is no more. There are, however, a couple of outdoor picnic tables which is better than nothing. Definitely a take out place. I had the original with Cheese Wiz. They double wrap the sandwich in foil and butcher paper and if you include the paper bag it comes in, you have a triple wrapped mound of yumminess! The steak is chopped finely and the Wiz is oozing all over the sandwich. They cook it to order so it is piping hot when you open it and it smells wonderful. The bun surrounds the contents pretty well but as with this type of sandwich it can get messy quickly. Definitely use caution. Always a crowd here and everyone looks happy with anticipation of the arrival of their coveted cheesesteak (especially me!). Give this place a try and you won't be sorry. read more

Who doesn't love a good cheesesteak. And I stress the word good. When I move to Seattle, I never imagined I would find a few really good places that serve incredible cheesesteaks. Calozzi's is the most recent spot. I tried and I don't know why I waited. Located up in Georgetown off of E. Marginal Way it was easy to find. Ample parking on both sides of the street adjacent. It's a small building with one window for ordering and another for pick up. From the time I placed my order it was less than 10 minutes until I received my food. When I opened the wrapper I was greeted with that delicious cheesesteak smell, and it was incredible. I opted for provolone cheese, and it was nicely mixed in with all of the beef. The beef was finally chopped and easy to chew. Don't take the bread for granted though. It was chewy and soft and absolutely made for the perfect sandwich. I got there first thing, so there wasn't a huge wait, that being said, each one is made to order, so it take a little time. I couldn't imagine coming here and waiting for food if it was busy. Parking was side steet parking and there are 5 or 6 street parking spots in front of calozzis. The food was great! We ordered the original cheesesteak with grilled onions and provolone and also the roni steak which came with pepperoni. Both cheesesteaks came out piping hot and melty on traditional soft white roll. They were delicious, steamy and dreamy. If you are looking for a good local cheesesteak this is it! So I saw the reviews on this place on yelp. I've tried several Cheesesteaks In Seattle and if you've tried an authentic Philly Cheesesteak you know there's allot of places that are clueless. It's not just about steak on bread. I ordered by phone and was told 20 minutes. The address is on E. Marginal, but you have too turn on Carleton Ave S to park. I had the Steak Sandwich witz onions Cheese Whiz and Provolone and ordered a Steak witz onion's and White Cheddar for my wife. If you are adverse to messy you get enough napkins if you are careful. The sandwich is wrapped in aluminum foil and then wrapped with paper. If you aren't careful opening you could make a bigger mess. The first clue to my first experience was the smell of fried onions that began permeating my car. I opened my sandwich too see the gooey layer of cheese covering a generous portion of meat. The sandwich was pre sliced in half. The first bite melded together the soft roll, cheese and chopped steak and onions instantly reminded me of the local Philly variety. Move over, Tat's! (And I like Tat's!) But Calozzi's Cheesesteaks blew me away. After my first bite I took a pause and literally said, "Daaaammnnn!" Isn't that how every dining experience should be? What a fortunate accident. I wasn't looking for Calozzi's and hardly ever go to Georgetown, which is where Calozzi's Cheesesteaks is located. I was running an errand in the middle of the day that led me to this neck of the woods and while driving back to the highway I passed by Calozzi's on the corner and decided to stop by. I think it was the old school building and walk-up window with a short line of people waiting for their cheesesteak that drew me in. It just looks like one of those places where they know what they're doing. I walked up to the window where they take and process orders and ordered a classic cheesesteak, which includes the meat, choice of cheese and fried onions. And yeah, it's a foot long. I ordered my cheesesteak with Whiz because you have to, and when asked if I wanted hot peppers on the side, there was no question about it. Don't forget Tim's chips for some crunch. It only took five minutes for my order to be ready at the other window where you pick up your order. I figured it would be a hot mess, so I drove back to Bellevue and waited to eat at home. And although it was messy as I anticipated because it's a freaking cheesesteak, it was everything I had hoped for in a cheesesteak. It was loaded with tender, soft meat with the Whiz all up in that! Bread was also very soft to bite into, yet sturdy enough to hold up the goods. I mean, half of the sandwich was more than enough. But it was so freaking good that I just had to eat the entire cheesesteak right there and then. NO REGRETS. The customer service was outstanding and quick. When I got my cheesesteak wit wiz of course, the bread was soft, soaked up all the juices and the cheese and kept the sandwich together. It wasn't falling apart as I ate it. There was a hefty amount of cheesesteak and wiz in it, but it was all balanced together so one flavor wasn't overpowering the other.
