Great food and even better service! I originally came into Calusa Pizza just to grab a beer, and the owner, Tulio, took the time to chat with us. He was so warm and welcoming that we decided to come back and try the food--and we're glad we did! We ordered the Pizza di Carne, and it was absolutely delicious--loaded with flavor and cooked perfectly. Tulio is incredibly attentive, making every customer feel like a regular. He genuinely cares and takes the time to connect with everyone. Mia also stands out with her excellent customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Between the great food, the amazing service, and the welcoming atmosphere, this spot is definitely a gem. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Finally Pizza in Lutz! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked dough and bubbling cheese had me hooked. But let's talk about the real star of the show, the Margherita pizza. This wasn't just any pizza; it was perfection on a plate. The crust was the ideal balance of crispy on the outside and airy on the inside, with just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven. The sauce? Bright, tangy, and bursting with fresh tomato flavor you could tell they use top-quality ingredients. And that creamy, melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella paired with fragrant basil???? Absolute magical Do yourself a favor and grab a Margherita from here.

If you're looking for something that's not your average chain pizza, Calusa Pizza is the way to go. The sauce is smooth and flavorful--never too harsh--and the crust has its own unique character that sets it apart. Toppings are fresh and generous, and the sides? Huge portions, definitely made for sharing. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and you can even enjoy a glass of wine with your meal. Beyond the pizza, their menu is packed with classic Italian dishes, so there's something for everyone. Definitely a local gem worth checking out.

    Slice of Traditional Large pizza.

Calusa's pizza options give everyone an opportunity to get the pie they desire. While the pizza itself didn't seem like a standout on its own, the toppings take it to another level. Service was very friendly and quick. There weren't many people at the place dining in. Most people picked up an order to go. There were quite a few flies in the restaurant. It's understandable to an extent, since this is Florida. The music was a mix of 2010's top hits. Maybe not the choice that was most pleasing to all patrons. Overall, I would go back, but maybe consider getting carry out over dining in.

Disappointing meal. Ordered through Uber Eats delivery. Chief pizza was ok, pepperoni pizza was better. The Greek salad was a joke and meatballs weren't much better. I love supporting local places instead of chains but I won't be eating here again.

I only write reviews immediately after visiting a business for 2 reasons: if the food and / or service is exceptional and secondly, if the service is sub-par. As you can tell with the star distribution, it's the latter reason for this review. In actuality, the service and food were good. It was the management that fell short. Despite having to wait 10 minutes to have a server greet us, Alexandra was very apologetic and took good care of us afterward. They have a good variety of beers on tap, and their Calusa house is a nice crisp pale aie. The featured soup, a lobster bisque, is mediocre, but I'm glad I ordered it to appease my hunger while waiting an unreasonable amount of time for a pizza. Sadly, once the pizza came out, it was made incorrectly, and I had to wait yet an even longer amount of time. Again, our server expressed her apologies many times. What surprised me was the manager's lack of attention to the mishap. I watched him sit and chat with what seemed to be friends of his at a nearby table for at least a good ten minutes. (Yes, I timed it because I was timing how much longer it was going to take my pizza to come out. ) He finally came over after my pizza came out to apologize. (I venture to assume my glaring stares might have had something to do with it.) The pizza was delicious. It had an even distribution of toppings, and the crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Even their complimentary garlic knots were delicious and had the same texture as the pizza crust. I ordered a cannoli to go since I had already seen 4 tables come and go while I was there. It was, in the words of my 7 year old dinner date (my daughter with a sophisticated palate for her age), "meh." Good pizza. Good beer. But I'll stick to Mama B's in Wesley Chapel, where Mama B herself visits each table to ensure all is well. Calusa obviously doesn't need my patronage if they have time to chat with friends on a busy Saturday night.

They charged us $5 to add chicken. Here's the chicken lol. Tired of places trying to rip people off

    Beautiful rustic chic interior design.

Important note: menu prices are higher if ordering takeout through Yelp! When I saw the almost $3.00 markup on my planned pasta purchase via Yelp, I decided to go in and order in person. You could also call the order in to get regular menu prices. I guess there is a price to pay for convenience! In any event, my pasta order (Tortellini Bolognese) was ready much faster than the Yelp system projected if ordering online. Within 10 minutes I was in and out with a very hot box! And the tortellini was DELICIOUS! It was a huge portion which made it absolutely worth the price! Looking forward to checking out their pizza soon!

    Mozzarella Sticks, oh yummy....
    Pietro M.

Food and service were great. Loved the food and pizza was yummy. The mozzarella were more like nuggets and not sticks and I liked that. The servers were nice and took really good care of us. The restaurant is pretty basic in setup but it was clean and organized. This was our first time there so we were leased with everything. If I am in the area again and in the need of some food I would definitely eat there again.

Full house on a Thursday night.

Passed by after work while in the area and decided to give this place a try. Excellent service and food. We enjoyed the fried mozzarella appetizer which was plenty enough to share between two people. I had the classic calzone with added toppings and it was fantastic. I was stuffed and barely got through half of it so definitely enough for two meals. Worth the visit for sure!

Awesome pizza night on National Pizza Day, but the mussels are the best. My kids also love the chicken wings, the calamari, and the spaghetti with meatballs.

I can't thank the Team enough. This is the 2nd year in a row that I called last minute and asked for 2 heart shaped pizzas for my boys. They were perfect!

Average pizza. Dough/bread has no crunch not even on the crust...how do you not even get a crunch out of crust??!! I've had better pizza at pizza hut this is average at best. Not sure why the reviews are so high lol

A friend and I ordered the Japanese curry and short ribs, and both were disappointing. The portions were surprisingly small, and the curry tasted like a generic TV dinner that had just been warmed up. For the price, I expected much better. We actually ended up going next door to GrillSmith afterward because we were still hungry, which says a lot. That said, the wine selection was excellent, and the staff was very knowledgeable. If you're just looking for a great place to enjoy wine, this might be worth a visit. But if you're hoping for a full dining experience, I'd say skip the food and go elsewhere.

I'm excited to be the first to tell you that you can now have that sweet Seoul experience here in Tampa‼ Perfect date night spot 미각 Migak, means "taste" and I was thoroughly shook when I tried the food and wine pairings at this cozy space off of Dale Mabry. The food here is so delicious, just like my time spent in Korea. Innovative dishes like Truffle Jajangttoek, my favorite so far. Korean owned and operated, the owners also own a few of these amazing food pairing wine bars in Korea, and the chef has also lived and culinary trained in France. They have their hand on the pulse of what is popular in Korea as well as the US. We are so lucky to have this establishment! You won't find anywhere else like this in Tampa Bay. I'm definitely coming back for dessert and to try more! The Migak sommelier is here to help you choose wines that will pair perfectly with the plates that you order. Check the menu online to see that the prices are shockingly low for the quality of food provided. If you are like me and don't drink really, then you can just visit to eat their delicious food. I loved EVERY dish I tried so far. 1 트러플 짜장 떡볶이 Truffle Jajangttoekbokki paired with Red - Rich truffle flavor paired with umami black bean sauce in this popular Korean fusion rice cake dish. Paired with Malbec. 2 골수 Bone Marrow - Not many places serve this dish in Tampa! The exquisite fatty flavors are emphasized by the fresh herbs used. A must-try. 3 Chicken Skewers - The plump, glossy bites of heaven are dark meat, fatty, glazed and tender. The tangy and slightly spicy sauce matches well with the fatty meat. Paired with Reisling. 4 명태전 Pollack Joen - Fried egg washed fritters, served with a side salad. A very popular dish in Korea. Sometimes whole restaurants just serve various joen as their main menu. Paired with Gruner. 5 불구기 쌈 Bulgogi Ssam - Premade lettuce wraps with just the perfect amount of toppings and sauces, as the chef intended. Paired with white burgundy. 6 카레 Korean Curry - Some say it tastes similar to the popular Japanese curry, but this curry is definitely in it's own category of yummy. As the only Asian food specialist that has written about specifically Korean cuisine and visted Korea multiple times, can speak, read, and write in Hangul --- Migak is my favorite Korean restaurant in Tampa Bay hands down. Keep them open. Protect them at all costs.
