Only complaint is the parking situation! $16 for 2.5 hours of parking is a little insane. The price to park is more expensive than water street and downtown Tampa. Finally tried Barcelona and it was compared to my expectations but didn't wow. Our reservations helped but inside was busy so we opted for the patio despite the passing rain (all worked out since it stopped). The service was very attentive, if not somewhat pressed or rushed especially for our anniversary. Food was solid and could be spectacular, if it was more curated and less production style. Patatas bravas - good but our order took so long that we finished dining before it came. Top of the list was Pulpo, Duck Proscuitto and Pork Belly. Next was Gambas and Mushrooms. Chickens Thighs didn't meet the hype or waiter recommendation. One bite was good but otherwise missed the mark as being a bit dry perhaps sitting on the pan to be served. The flan was a nice finish. Drinks were lackluster imho. The bourbon spice rack was flat without character and light. Gin tonic Valencia way too much ice in the wine glass. Strongly suggest boosting their cocktail options. Wine options need more time to sort through. Inside and bar area was lively but a bit too loud for more intimate conversations, so outdoor worked out. I think HHour would be fun. I've been here several times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The service, food, and atmosphere never disappoint. I especially love the tapas style menu, which makes it easy to share a variety of dishes with a group and try a little bit of everything. One thing to keep in mind is that some of the larger entrees can take 45 minutes or more to come out, so plan accordingly. I love a good happy hour and this is one of the best ones I've found in Tampa!! They have a great variety of tapas to choose from, plus their standard menu is also very affordable to try so many things (my favorite style of dining!!) $6 glasses of wine, girl time and a lively restaurant is exactly what I like during a Happy Hour. Our server Natty was AMAZING - he made our experience a delight from the moment we sat down. Lots of good recommendations on what to order, so fun to just chat with and took such great care of us. We also appreciated management stopping by and checking in on us during our visit too. The restaurant itself definitely picks up later into the evening, so it was nice to get there early and enjoy watching how it quickly filled in even for a Thursday evening. Overall ambiance is great! Some of our favorites were the Montadito with the whipped goat cheese - I will be back for this!! We also really enjoyed the carrots. Great spot for a girls' night out! This restaurant does tapas-style dishes, which makes it perfect for ordering a bunch of plates and sharing as a group. We ordered several items so we could try a little bit of everything. The food came out fast, which we really appreciated. Service was great overall, and the general manager was walking around checking on tables...very friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. The standout for me was the steak! Super flavorful, cooked perfectly, and topped with crunchy chips that added a nice texture. The bravas were another favorite, especially when paired with the steak. The chicken thighs were juicy and well seasoned, and the olive oil cake is a must-order. The cake was topped with sea salt which created the perfect contrast and balance for the sweetness. Barcelona Wine Bar is a great spot for a filling and tasty dinner with friends. My wife and I visited here on a Saturday night for a birthday. Our group of 14 was sat outside in a patio area. The cooler weather and breeze was refreshing and a dinner outside was comfortable. Inside, this place was warm and definitely louder. For drinks, my wife ordered a mocktail called the tea time. Early grey tea, honey, lemon, mint and some other things rounded out this sour, sweet and beautiful drink. My wife enjoyed it but wouldn't order again. I ordered the bourbon spice rack. Four roses, maple syrup, lemon, cardamom and lavender bitters made for a refreshing, sweet and tasty drink. Not very bourbon forward, this drink was sweet but I was left wondering if there was bourbon in it. My wife and I each ordered tapas plates. Our server was friendly and suggested most people order about 3-5 plates each. Here is a rundown of what we had. Broccolini. Truffle vinaigrette that you could smell when they arrived. The broccolini was well cooked, only slightly tender with a welcomed crunch. The truffle was standout. My wife and I enjoyed these. Beets. Large chunks of beets, firm and fresh laid over a bed of dill aioli and seasoned with cilantro and sea salt. I love beets and can eat them by themselves. The dill aioli added a nice creamy texture and earthy fresh zing that I really liked. Would order again. Crispy oyster mushrooms. Served with a tasty mojo verde, these mushrooms was excellent. The breading was well seasoned and crunchy. The mushrooms inside offered the soft texture you'd expect and these are what you'd expect in a "fried mushroom." Just elevated. Would order again. Patatas bravas. Piled high on the plate, these crispy potatoes were pillowy soft inside and were topped with salsa and a garlic aioli. These were really good and filling. Chicken thigh. The chicken thigh was suggested to us as a popular. The chicken thigh was blackened, a little on the dry side but well seasoned and paired well with the tzatziki. However, I wish I had ventured out and gotten something that I can't grill at home myself. Pork belly. The pork belly was good. I did expect this to be melt in your mouth, succulent and rich but it was dry. The outside was crispy, the fattier parts were savory but the meat was dry and tough. The sauce that came with it was too spicy for me. NY Strip. The Ny strip was really good. Thin, good quality meat. My wife ordered it medium well but it came a little under that. It was still tender and well seasoned. The red chimichurri added a little kick and flavor and the crispy potatoes gave it that crunch. Would order again. For dessert, I had the olive oil cake. This was pretty good. A decent chunk of moist, not overly sweet cake. The texture was soft but dense and the sea salt garnish added that bit of saltiness that was standout. 3 out of the 7, we would order again. My girlfriends and I went out for a girls night and the hubs suggested Barcelona. At first we were a bit lost because we didn't expect for the restaurant to be placed under what looked like an office building. If you don't want to deal with valet, you can park at a garage which is found behind the building. By parking here, you can easily all through the building and arrive right in front of the restaurant. A male manager welcomed us, very nice & polite, leading us to an outside table where we met our server, Anthony. Anthony was attentive and helpful. Before ordering he asked if any of us had dietary restrictions & for those of us who did, he marked on the menu which items we needed to avoid. Really appreciated this. The food was good but not enough. I understand the concept of Tapas being small plates but if you consider the prices of each plate and you're hungry, you will be dropping a lot of $$. Although it is perfect for portion control. Even perfect for a first date where you're not sure if you want to spend a long night with the person. And the tapas came out quick. Barcelona is one of my wife and I's mainstays but for this visit, we made a reservation for my GORGEOUS wife's birthday this time around! We honeymooned in Madrid so tapas and authentic Spanish cuisine will always have our hearts. We always come here for a nice chill vibe and the best tapas in Tampa. It's amazing that you don't HAVE to dress up but you can and either way you will fit in. It's a gorgeous restaurant in a great location, perfect for sitting outside when the weather is nice but just as cozy inside. For this visit, our server was Natty who was amazing per usual! We've had him before on a previous visit and he did not disappoint for her birthday dinner. We order things from all over the menu but our usuals are the Chickpeas & Sofrito, the Spanish Tortilla (verrryyyy close to authentic) and the Albondigas. Those are our mains and then we get like 2-3 dishes of something random we're feeling that day. We've also had their Paella Mariscos before and it was oh so good and worth the wait. For drinks, my Madrid-filled heart must always order a vermouth the traditional way (with orange) and I could easily drink them under the table on these. Just keep them cominggggg. Their cocktails are to die for, for real. They are SO GOOD! Especially the Alebrijes. It has Mezcal in it which gives it that beautiful smokey flavor my wife and I love. To end the night, you MUSTTTTTTT get the olive oil cake. If I could somehow get this delivered for dessert every single night, I would die full of cake and oh so happy. It's perfectly balanced with sweet and salty. But since it was my wife's birthday, they gave us a nice little surprise (pictured)! During this visit, we also got to meet the GM, Adrianna, who seated us and allowed us to try one of their newer dishes (which I was a big fan of). The tampa location does not disappoint. Only thing I dont like about this location is the limited indoor seating compared to other locations but it makes sense for Florida. Service is top notch, with every tapas order made to order fresh out of the kitchen, they have several food runners so I have never experienced long waits for food. I don't normally like paella but this one had pork belly I think and it made it so flavorful and different. The wine flight is also not to be missed! My favorite was the chicken paella, fried balls (forgot their name ) and the hummus. Shockingly the hummus was so incredibly fresh and good. STAY AWAY FROM - the meat board. No flavor, nothing Spanish about it & it took over 2 hours to get ours even though we ordered it as soon as we got there bc we knew it was gonna take time. It's bland and lacks seasoning. The drinks were fine - nothing too crazy imo. This place has been open since November and feels like it just opened 1-2 months ago how chaotic it was ran. We had like 4-5 different servers taking care of us, forgetting our orders and us having to consistently remind them after we had been waiting a minute. Check your tab - we had over $50 worth of extras on our bill that weren't ours or were "gifted" to our table and still added to the tab. They were all removed but I felt like that was kind of embarrassing for a newer restaurant to be screwing up that big. Overall the price was like 175 for 4 people without tip. All things considering - they took off the meat board because it was so overcooked and dry: I'd say still not too crazy for you to be able to sample almost the whole menu. Would I come back just because ? Probably not.. I'd only go if someone special invited me lol I will say the manager was nice and accommodating given the situation and I feel like this would be a great spot for during the week. We dined in and ate dinner on their beautiful patio. The overall decor and style of the restaurant is very beautiful with lots of natural wood and plants. Quite a bit of the menu is gluten-free and they specialize in tapas and Wine which is great for sharing. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. They made sure to clear all small plates and forks in a timely manner as well. Coming in with no expectations we ended up having a great time. We liked almost everything we ordered. The only thing I did not like was the pork belly which lacked salt, but it was a decent portion for the price. I also did not care for the sweet sauce that iit had on the side. The Spanish Tortilla is my absolute favorite and they did an excellent job with it, it is however served cold which is ok, but if you are used to having it hot this should be noted. We had quite a bit of food and the bill was just a little over 100$ after tip. I think that's a great deal and I would recommend this restaurant for a girls night or date night or whatever. It's a bit more upscale than Bulla, but if you have been there it's similar. Next time I will try the wine because the two cocktails I had were no Bueno. The staff (waiter and Chef) gave me a full customized menu of what was gluten-free and what was not. This was great and I really appreciated it! I will be back to try more food! read more

We tried the following: Paella Mariscos Beef empanadas Bravas Pork Belly Albondigas Tortilla Chicken thigh Cheesecake The highlights for me were the cheesecake, pork belly, beef empanadas, the patatas bravas. The ambiance is perfect for a night out with friends, a celebration, or a date. The place is new, parking is terrible now at this complex - mixed with Counter Culture and the new rooftop spot that's opening soon... I'd rather walk there. But not until my broken ankle heals!!! I went with a couple friends, they dropped me at the curb and as I got our table, they parked the car. Way off yonder in some garage - I don't even know where it is, but it took a good while before they made it in, so I'm guessing it's inconvenient. I have parking issues all over this City now...it used to be super easy, they didn't charge everywhere you went and valet wasn't such a thing! Now it's almost required anywhere these days - such a waste of all the existing parking spaces and I don't like people touching my car. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful...I was definitely glad for that. I was seated at a booth (opted for inside because it was a little too chilly outside and didn't see any heating elements...) Our table was right somehow under a cold, windy spot but I needed a booth so I could keep my ankle elevated easier, so I suffered through. I don't know, maybe just my luck. It was very loud...all the new hot spots seem to be acoustically undesirable. Not sure what that trend is about but sure would be nice to have some sound absorbing materials to help with that. Hoping outside is a better option, if/when I return. Not new to the tapas concept, but didn't find a lot of items we all thought we'd enjoy to share, so we got the 3 option charcuterie, meatballs, green beans and potatoes. I do think there are some other things I would be interested in trying, however. The charcuterie was less than exciting. I make a nicer board than that, and I'm not creative in that department. The green beans were actually very good I would get those again. And, the potatoes as well. The meatballs had good flavor, but I feel like it was maybe too saucy and lot of oil in it. This place is located in south Tampa with the best view and vibes. We sat at the bar and the service was amazing - everyone was super nice and attentive. I highly recommend the goat cheese app (you can ask for extra bread for dipping). The red sangria was also delicious, not too sweet. My friend got this potato soufflé appetizer that is a MUST try.
