What an amazing experience. When you go to an Italian restaurant, do you think good food friends family. That's exactly what we got. I was pregnant, so I got to watch my husband and another couple drink two bottles of wine while I "volunteered" to be the designated driver. They LOVED the wine! And it was a reasonable price point. We got multiple appetizers and entrées and shared everything. There wasn't a bad plate. Everything was mouthwateringly excellent. Both owners stopped by the table and made us feel like family. We were laughing and joking, and it's exactly what you would expect from an old school restaurant in Italy. You MUST save room for dessert! read more

Delicious!!! Such an amazing and personable experience. We were celebrating a birthday and we were sat at a table that had a happy birthday card already on it! The appetizers were so delicious. We had a brie cheese wrapped in spec, both imported from Italy! Our servers were so friendly, and the owners even came to visit us at the table during our meal. I got the pasta out of the cheese wheel, which Franco the owner had made table side for me! All of our pastas were so delicious and they're all homemade in-house, including the gnocchi. I thoroughly enjoyed dinner at La casa Della pasta. The pasta was made in house and I treated myself to the Parmesan fettuccine and the experience AND the flavor was divine. The chef took the extra time to char the Parmesan and took his time tossing the parm cheese with the pasta till it came out so rich and creamy. Speaking of rich and creamy the tiramisu was perfectly balanced sweet and creamy. My date for the veal Marsala and stated that all the flavors were on point for this dish. The service was good. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was bland. It had almost no taste. I did not like the 20 percent tip that was automatically added to the check. I usually tip 20 percent or more. Forcing me to tip the 20 percent is wrong. One of the chairs at our table was not a regular restaurant chair. It was more like a chair out of a dressing room. We have eaten at may different Italian local restaurants and while we felt the meal was fine, our expectations were a little higher then what we experienced for dinner. Service was absolutely incredible however each entrè and the appetizer felt like it was missing something. Sometimes less is more but the both pasta dishes for the price felt like could have had more substance; feeling like I could have made it home. The Calamari was fried perfectly but the sauce did not exactly go with it; while I would try probably try this place again, it will be a while since I believe there are many other Italians restaurants at the same price points that could give you a better deal. You are greeted at the door and I would suggest making reservations to be sure to get a table, They have a wonderful wine and beer list, The Fettuccine prepared table side in a wheel of Parmigiana is a signature dish and must be experienced! My date had the veal mare monti (just average) and I had the lasagna, which was mostly noodles with very little cheese or meat -- bland and disappointing. What really ruined the evening was the atmosphere. Not even 20 minutes into dinner, two very young patrons brought a dog under their table indoors. Yes, Florida law requires service animals to be permitted, but let's be honest: far too many abuse this, dragging pets into restaurants with no thought for other patrons who expect a clean, comfortable dining experience. If people can't leave their dogs at home for two hours, maybe they should cook a few steaks in their backyard instead. Between uninspired food and a dining room that feels more like a kennel than a trattoria, we won't be returning. read more

The ambience is cool, they have these candles in wine bottles for each table , and they give you a book with the check that you can write in. It's a cool personal touch. The one knock is that our server was not great and it looked like they do services by committee. The place is very cozy with an elegant touch, it makes you feel at home. The service was excellent, we were 13 and the food arrived at the same time for everyone and was hot. They were always attentive and checking on us to make sure we have everything we needed. I must say, our reservation was at 8:30 pm and when we arrived they kindly told us that we had to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 9, it seemed a little illogical to let so many people make a reservation at 8:30 to close the kitchen 30 minutes later, however they never rushed us, the service was incredible and as I said before the food came out super fast, hot and delicious. We finished with tiramisu and wow it was delicious, it felt homemade. Without a doubt I would return to this restaurant. This is a gem of a find if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Reservation is definitely recommended but they were able to accommodate a table for two when we arrived. The interior has been renovated (since the old taco place) with charming decor and Italian themed ambiance. You can see the owners take pride in their services and it also reflects in their wait staff. To start, they brought along various bread and dips to get you in the Italian feasting mood. With so many choices of regular dishes, we opted in for the special menu starting with the Speck and Brie, which was a perfect warm appetizer to start. The main courses were the Fettuccine Parma Wheel which were prepared tableside with an 24 month aged Parma cheese wheel from Italy; and Eggplant Parma which is freshly prepared and large enough to eat for two! Both dishes were uniquely made and the tastes were amazing. We ended with tiramisu as it's a must have for any Italian restaurant. It's homemade with simple and delicious flavors. Casa de la Pasta was a wonderful, unique experience! We went there to celebrate a birthday with the fettucine alfredo made in the cheese wheel tableside. It was like being in a little restaurant on a street in Italy. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and inviting. The owner, Franco, was the one who made the fettucine, explaining all about their parmigiana cheese wheels, how everything is made, etc. He was absolutely delightful, and later even brought his wife over to introduce us to the "other half" of the restaurant. They thanked us warmly for coming, and made us feel like treasured guests. No one made us feel rushed or under any sort of pressure to hurry out. The food was amazingly delicious, and it was overall one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I can remember having. They even had gluten free pasta options for my daughter. It was definitely not inexpensive, but everything was super fresh and made with such care and attention to detail, that we will definitely be back. The wine list was extensive, and we ordered wine. Restaurant was cute and clean but I was expecting the food to be better than it was. Strike one: The arancini appetizer tasted like the oil it was cooked in needed to be changed. Strike two: I ordered the fettuccine in the parmigiana bowl and disappointingly it was one note...cheese. Too much in fact. There should've been some garlic, (there wasn't any) and some fresh parsley would've brightened it up a bit. This dish was much too rich...I could barely eat it. In fact I only ate 1/4 of it. Strike three: The servers approached my table 4 times at the end of the meal asking if we were finished and we said we needed a bit more time. This was annoying. The 20% added gratuity is not a good thing either. I probably would've left a bit more tip as I like to tip in cash, but because it was added onto the bill I didn't. I won't be back. read more

My first experience with Casa Della Pasta was very positive. I picked up dinner for my wife and I and the restaurant's decor was very inviting and warm, I will definitely be dining in next time. I had the penne rustica and my wife got spaghetti with sauce. The portions were generous, so the next day I had her spaghetti and she had my penne rustica. Both were very delicious, the sauces for both dishes were exceptional. The most surprising thing was how satisfying the spaghetti was, something special was going on with that dish. I came in early for my pick up and to meet the husband and wife owners. Very nice people with an obvious love of good food and warm hospitality. Came to celebrate a friend's birthday and also ended up celebrating the food, even tho I couldn't order the whole menu (I wanted to) I got to try a few different dishes that my friends ordered, while the pastas and lasagna had a very authentic italian flavor, I wouldn't say it is the same case for the appetizers, felt a little bit basic and sort of on the frozen food side. Their attention was immaculate, I can't recall a moment of our night were someone wasn't at our table making sure everything was looking good and tasting amazing, great when you have a big table. Also even tho they close at 9:30PM, our reservation was for 8:30PM and I'm pretty sure we stayed past 10PM and never felt rushed to leave, even on our way out they were really kind saying goodbye and thank you. We got the fettuccine from the wheel (fettuccine Alfredo) made in the Parmigiano Reggiano wheel (a fancy and expensive cheese wheel from a small village in Italy) that tasted so amazing! When you arrive, the location is a bit sketchy, but when you walk in, it's a completely different story. This restaurant was voted "Best Italian in the Bay" four years running. I'm not sure I agree with that. The atmosphere is nice, but not at all outstanding. Service was good but not above & beyond. The prices would suggest that it would be. Average size portions so no need for a take home bag, unusual for an Italian restaurant. All the pasta is homemade & served Al dente, which is usually a wonderful thing. We started out with their lentil soup which was very good but not worth the price. Onto the entrees. We chose the meat ravioli & lasagna. I have never seen bite size ravioli (except the ones in the can). While they were good, I didn't get the full taste of the meat because there was definitely more pasta surrounding it than there was meat. They were actually about the size of tortellini, very odd. The lasagna was good but not outstanding. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was outstanding!! The cappuccino was a serving size of what espresso normally would be (dixie cup maybe), which was again disappointing. The sauce and pasta were tasty.
