Which I figured would mean that they are military friendly. Unfortunately this was not the case. Busker's was very rigid and unwilling to work with us to get an estimate. There is another shop in San Angelo that is on the USAA direct list which is more of a big name "chain type" store. And there are at several of those shops in various San Angelo locations. To my surprise the chain store was 100 percent more accommodating and it has excellent reviews regarding quality of the repair work. Sounds like Busker's does good work but if you need flexibility or enjoy the customer service factor you may want to look elsewhere.

I came in specifically seeking further diagnosis to understand what was actually causing the code. Instead, they simply hooked up their own code reader, told me the exact same code I had already reported to them, and then recommended a full engine replacement for around $15,000. I was charged $250 for information I had already provided when I walked in. When I asked about deeper diagnostic work -- the kind I believed the diagnostic fee was supposed to cover -- I was told that would cost even more. I was under the impression that a diagnostic charge meant they would actually diagnose the problem, not just read a code and upsell a major repair. I got a second opinion from a reputable local businessman who actually took the time to diagnose the real issue. He is repairing the problem for about $5,000 -- far from the $15,000 engine replacement Ric Henry Auto claimed was necessary. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any work here.

She went to explain how Ric has been keeping her Mini trouble free for years. That's what I wanted to hear because I wasn't going to drive DFW for an oil change. Now that we have purchased our Mini Ric is servicing items that are OEM or are at designated service intervals. The car runs great and Ric Henry will be a big part of maintaining that status.
