Grab some dominoes and a Carib or a virgin frozen mojito and enjoy chilling out by the water while they whip you up something delicious. The food is fantastic. Traditional Cuban dishes with amazing flavors and always perfectly cooked. The Cuban sandwich is to die for and any of the fried foods are absolutely craveable. Several people who left reviews mentioned the wait time. We were told it would be 30 minutes when we arrived...but there's really no place for people to wait. However, they found a booth for a group sitting just inside the door and then asked if we would like to sit there. Sure...problem solved in about 5 minutes. Aside from the wait/no wait situation, it took a really long time for service and arrival of food. It's a smallish seating area overall for such business. All three of the people we asked about the spot said the same thing - it was okay years ago, but not any longer. They all suggested the same place: Laguna Reef. They were SPOT ON!!! It kind of looks like a "local dive" from the outside -- which I love to try out! We were greeted like old friends. The simple menu had something perfect for both of us. She got the grilled shrimp. You can see how large they were! She could hardly eat them all because of the size. But they were so good she couldn't bear to leave a single bite!
