Wow, it was indeed an intense experience. Camellia worked on my stiff body to untangle tensed muscles. She is very strong, and gives her all in the session. Don't expect this to be a 'relaxing' spa-like massage with a light touch. It's more a body therapy session, where she is working through your body's 'problem' areas. I felt really light headed yet deeply relaxed after the session, but also thoughtful, like I became tuned in into my emotions and thoughts. Camellia suggested I take an epson bath that same night to let the session take full effect. I went home and felt this deep urge to clean my whole house., which I did! (And I am a real procrastinator when it comes to housekeeping). It was like my body released the stress and tension it was holding, this followed some kind of emotional release, which translated into the urge to 'cleanse' my environment. That same night, I had intense dreams. I believe that the body holds a lot of emotional and mental stress and tension, and Camellia's work helps to release not just body pain or aches, but this in turn affects the one getting the massage mentally and emotionally in a positive way. I love Cam's massages so much! She is by far among the best in the country! I really appreciate the thorough, detailed, transcendent experience of Camellia's bodywork. I usually book 90 minutes and walk out of there so full of nurturance and energy that I am literally be buzzing (in a good way). Also if you love a good scalp massage seek no further. When people ask me what style of massage I like, I have a hard time explaining it other than, Camellia's style. She initially was recommended to me in 2013 by another massage therapist Ive seen, as I wanted to gift a friend a prenatal massage (friend luuuuuuuhved it!). I personally saw Camellia in 2015 for an acute neck tweak I sustained in yoga (eff you tripod handstands!). After going to 3 MDs who all recommended surgery, Camellia was able to fix me in ONE session! She innately knows what your body needs (magic hands). Camellia is such a healer! I have a herniated disc, labral tear, and muscle pain in calf. I have various injuries from dance and yoga and Camellia pin points them and explains what she finds.
