This is the spot for fried fish! We ordered takeout and walked to the beach two minutes away to eat, a very beautiful, spacious, smoke free, corona outing. Minus one star for zero salt on all the dishes. Also, the fries that had clearly been sitting around a while... But the fish, the shrimp, the zucchini were all very tasty! I enjoy this place. The food is good. The atmosphere is cool. Seating is limited but haven't ran into any issues. I like the fried fish and chips. Place is just comfortable as is the food. Service is easy. Go to counter and order and then after short time food is ready. All the right accoutrements available. Tarter sauce, malt vinegar, ect... Just glad this place is in my city. It's Covid season so we ordered walk up and takeout. They're handling the crowd control nicely and there were quite a few people waiting around to pick up orders. We placed ours, then walked down towards the beach. Saw a good parking spot and moved our truck so we had oceanside dining. Brought our smoking hot fried foods back to the vehicle and ate while it was hot. Good onion rings, and the fish and chips were exactly what one would like them to be, tender inside and crispy outside. My son had the fried clams and while they're not my thing, he loved them. Note: everything I saw on the menu was deep fried. I was really looking for crab cakes but made do with the mixed fish and chips with shrimp. The shrimp I'm sure came pre-breaded but the fish definitely seemed freshly battered. Additionally, the server was friendly and everything seemed clean and sanitary. read more

The stars are mostly for the cashier's customer service, and her bubbly personality! She was wearing a mask, but you can almost see and feel the smile as she greeted us. I hate I did not get her name in order to acknowledge her in this review, but she was working there today around 3pm, and I think she had blonde hair. Anyway, I ordered shrimp and chips which was ok. This was my first time here. Wow! This place lives up to all the 5 star reviews. Definitely the best fish and chips I've ever experienced. Don't pay any attention to the "Karen's and Kevin's" giving this great place a low rating. You see this all the time. Some people have impossible expectations and they think in addition to a great dining experience, they should have their butts baby powdered and perhaps a reacharound and if they don't get it, they whine like infants. I don't give out 5 star reviews easily but I don't trash a place and give it 2 stars just because the server failed to send me a Xmas card. This place was busy as hell and their fish was great. Went for the fish exclusively. Ordered 2 piece fish n chips for dine in ($22)Busy on a Friday dinner time. Watching the deep fryer was going non stop. Fish came fast and hot! Delicious with every bite of crispy covered white fish cod I assume. The Chips on the other hand were below average and not freshly fried. I will never get the French fries again! They have really good shrimp! I ordered the Shrimp and Chips for 20$ which is a bit pricey but outrageously priced. I had high expectations coming from Gordon Ramsay's Fish N Chips in Las Vegas, but this place didn't live up to it nor disappoint. I took my order togo and the wait time was 30 minutes. Oh where do I begin. I order the "Camelot" combo and my wife had the regular fish and chips. The Camelot came with deep fried oysters, shrimp, scallops and 1 fish. The shrimp and scallops were horrible. You can't tell where the batter ends and the shrimp/scallops begin. Tiny. All batter!! The oysters were slightly better in oyster/batter ratio, but still very unimpressive. The fish was the best of the lot, but even that came up short. It was very greasy and, again, mostly batter. Last but not least the "chips" were a little soggy. They had no crunch to them and felt a little rubbery. All in all, we were really disappointed. I suppose if I had a ordered a beer to wash it all down, it may have made things better. They appear to have a good selection of beers to choose from. Lastly, the place is VERY small. This place was a good find! Good food, a casual setting, and decent service. Our group of 3 shared the following: 1) Fish & Chips - tasty 2) Crab cakes & Chips - delicious 3) Shrimp & Chips - disappointing Unfortunately, we got the last order of fish and chips when we arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night! It may be a good idea to arrive earlier to ensure you get their signature dish. The service was a mixed bag. The order taker at the counter was friendly and patient. However, they seemed understaffed, and no one came to clear off and clean the tables between different sets of patrons. We had to ask them to clear off our table (which still had the last group's dishes) when our food arrived. At that point, they did, but only partially. The setting is British pub-like, dark and cozy. The inside is quite cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and good at their job. They handle busy crowds well. Pretty disappointing. This place has great reviews so I had my hopes up. I got the fish and chips sub for the fried mushrooms. The seasoning in the breading was great. The mushrooms were actually quite good. But that's pretty much where the positives end. The fish was dry. They were big pieces of fish, but I think they'd be better off trimming them smaller to get a moister product. A gripe for me was that they use premade tarter sauce. It's not a difficult thing to make. If you're a small menu place that specializes in a specific dish and aren't super cheap, I expect it to be homemade. It'd be like a taqueria that only sells tacos using Pace salsa. It wasn't bad by any means. If I got the same thing from a bar that had a large menu, it prob would've been 3-4 stars. Honestly this place was prob more like 2.5. I round down because I didn't feel like they were very friendly. read more

The fish is MUCH bigger than I expected and it's flaky and juicy, as should be. The 3 piece of fish was so meaty, I only finished 1 piece of it while eating alongside the other food. Besides 1 order of the fish & chips, we also ordered The Camelot. LOVE IT! It has fried fish, shrimp, and oyster in it. It was perfection! All of it was crispy and wonderful on the outside, but deliciously tender on the inside. The chips were not soggy or hard. I felt it was the right texture. I do wish they had something non-fried on their menu, or some salad to go with it but I understand it's not their specialty. You order at the counter upon entering, and for drinks they have self-serve water. They also sell canned sodas at the counter. For alcohol, there is beer and wine. I'm not usually a beer person, but it does pair really well with their food! It's located right by the ocean so once you're done eating, it's a great place to take a stroll around the beach. First time here and I was only a tiny bit disappointed. More on that later. The inside is small but warm and inviting. Nice sense of a British Pub and wonderful beers on tap. A little hidden gem indeed. In an odd shopping mall of sorts in Pacifica. Cashier doubled as a server and she was really nice and took great care of us. Let me say the Fish was outstanding. And I thought a good deal for $16.95. Cooked perfectly, golden brown and not greasy. Portions (2 pieces) were huge and the fish piece was thick and buttery. And it just came out of the fryer, so super hot. Wish I could remember the type of fish they used. Plentiful basket of fries came with. But they were a bit soggy and underwhelming. Wish they'd chosen the "steak fries" (you know the bigger thicker ones you would get in England). Tartar sauce had just the right amount of tart, plenty of pickles and not to mayonaisey (not a word I know). Clearly I'm showing my American side here, but when did F&C stop coming with a side of Coleslaw. That's what I missed, sort of. But this just left more room for me to gorge on the fish. I've been coming here for years. When it comes to serving seafood I had found you can't please everyone. For me I have cravings for the fish&chips . If I can be candid some people might say Camelot is a 'greasy spoon' , not me! I love this place. Portions are generous,you won't leave hungry ! I had a friend of mine say the fish is undercooked, wrong. I think it's perfectly cooked or I wouldn't keep coming back. Service has always been excellent,family like friendliness. As you walk into Camelot of course you smell fried food, but not like my mother's house when the house stinks for several days of fish. Godbless her memory but she couldn't fry fish. I always thought if the place smells gamey don't bother. I've been to England & Camelot has a British ambiance. If you need a 'fix' for fish & chips I highly recommend Camelot. Also check out their menu, the combinations are worth looking at . Servings will leave you satisfied. Camelot can get busy @ times but the takeout is just as generous as the sit down.
