She has these carrot cake truffles which is all grand yeah. Except they have the cream cheese icing also THROUGH the cake mix. It's the most unbelievable thing you've ever tasted if you've got a sweet tooth. So, I had bookmarked this place back in November and kept saying, just go, go, go. But I'm very rarely in that part of town. It just so happened I was there yesterday and popped in. It's so cute. It's very small, I think they could probably benefit from a little more space. The coffee was very good, a double shot in a very small cup with some creamy hot milk, it was Delish. I also picked up a Valentine's Day cookie (who doesn't want to eat Ryan Goslings face?) for €1.25, too good. It was so tasty! The staff are very friendly, I had a little chat with the girl serving me, she was lovely, despite the fact that I asked her about 7181629 questions! I'll definitely pop back in here for more yummy cookies and another serious caffeine buzz! read more

Seeeeriooously good coffee and cakes. The best in a mile, no doubt. And I say this as a picky espresso drinker and a sweet treats enthusiast, so I wouldn't throw them a five star review for nothing. I don't care for lattes or whatever - diluted coffee scoff scoff -, but that espresso they serve, it'll keep me coming back for sure. And the cakes... They actually know how to make them flavourful and NOT dry - a major peeve of mine with pastries and cakes in Dublin. They also make bigger cakes to order, I can only imagine they're worth every euro going for what you can sample there. I know I'm merely waiting for a good excuse to get one! Everything's served in take away cups/bags, but if you can find a seat in the teeny space in front of the counter, you'll be more than welcome to stay and enjoy whatever you're having there. It's not really a place to hang around with friends for long, but don't let that stop you, it's perfect for a more casual or quick coffee. Also a good option for lunch, especially if you're just in for a take away or not with a big group. Nice vegetarian options too! In summary, it's a nice little bakery and café, with delicious treats and perfect coffee, that manages to be quiet and cheerful in equal measure. read more

Yay what a little gem this cakery is on Capel Street. The owner Caryna told our little yelp group the story behind her little business. It's named after her Italian Fathers' family that ran a business in Italy and you can see the love that goes into every little cake. I got to taste a bit of carrot cake which was melt in the mouth. There doesn't seem to be a lot of space for sitting around and I haven't tried the coffee yet but I will definitely try it when I am again in the area. read more

It's small and it's pretty and they've got cake- yay! Everything looked lovely so I couldn't make up my mind and went for a slice of espresso cheese cake AND raspberry and dark chocolate brownie. The brownie was delish, the cheesecake sadly wasn't. The sit-in area doesn't took too appealing to me, just because I don't like bar stools unless I'm in a bar. They are just so uncomfortable for eating. I haven't tried their coffee yet but will surely return to do so and have another one of those fabulously rich brownies. read more

Still haven't been to the store (but will be visiting VERY soon!). I ordered a birthday cake for my husbands 30th from Camerino and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! All of our guests were asking where i had gotten it from, and my husband (who is a bit picky when it comes to cakes) absolutely loved it! Prices are great, and the presentation was wonderful. I finally came here and so now I can review it! From the outside the place looked really cute with all the cakes in the window, and although the inside is very small with only 4 or 5 stools, they have a lot of nice looking inviting desserts and some great coffee! Roasted brown cater for the coffee here and it tastes really good, plus it's also quite cheap; I paid only 2.20 EUR for an Americano and a brew is only 2 EUR, but I had went around 4pm so they run out of that. I wasn't aware that they do custom cakes for things like birthdays etc. but they had the menu on the wall, although there wasn't an option for a photo cake so I'm not to sure if they do those. The food menu had more than expected for such a tiny place in that besides sandwiches and desserts, they also have a few hot dishes baked fish, soup and also salad on the menu. The staff are very friendly, and the decor inside is also very quirky and cool. The only negative thing was the space. I don't like bar-stool type seating and personally prefer to sit at a table, and also the place is indeed quite cramped to think it's more of a take away place rather than sit in. But for great coffee and a selection of cakes and desserts that are reasonably priced, I would recommend it but more so for a take away than to sit in and relax. Overall: Coffee: 5/5- Great tasting and cheap! Service: 4.5/5- Great Seating: 1/5- uncomfortable and cramped Variety: 4/5- sweets tooth's welcome! read more

Had a little visit here early in the week, Had not heard anything about the place before bar that it was newly opened. To start it's a really really gorgeous space, really inviting and very pretty. The have the place stuffed to the gills! With tempting tasty treats and on the morning I went some free cheese cake by the till which I may or may not have eatin my fair share of. And bought a slice for the road. The staff were all nice and friendly too. Of course I expected everything to be delicious, which it was but what I did not expect to be amazing was the coffee . Not that I thought it would be terrible! But it was really good!! They do it right! And it was fab. Having sampled Caryna's infamous raspberry cheesecake brownie at the Dublin Flea market on too many occasions to recall, I was excited to hear that she had opened a cafe on Capel Street! First impressions, its very smart looking on the outside, and its cheerful colour scheme and hanging baskets certainly stands out alongside its older neighbours on the vibrant Capel Street area. I had hoped there would be more seating inside, but there are a handful of stools at the window and to the side. Grand if you want a quick cup of coffee, but not if you want an intimate tea and cake with a friend. The cakes are priced around the €3-4 mark. I got the cheesecake brownie to go (which is DIVINE), and a slice of the carrot cake, which blessedly didn't have raisins, but dates instead! They have a couple of vegan cake options too, and they provide helpful allergen info for all their cakes. They also offer a limited range of salads and sandwiches for the lunch crowd, but its clear that the passion here lies with the baking. The owner and cakes are a delight to behold, definitely worth popping in to get some weekend treats to take-away! They also make cakes to order, and sometimes hold healthy baking classes at the weekends. Just a FYI - there is a charge on card payments under €10. read more

We had friends in town this weekend so spent the better part of our Saturday wondering around the city centre and searching out some of our favourite haunts along the way. Now I typically don't chance an unknown establishment on out of towners but our friend was in desperate need of some carrot cake and Camerino is one of the very first places that pulls up. The space is small but cute and offers a variety of soups and sandwiches in addition to their show-stopping selection of baked treats. We ordered a couple slices of carrot cake and set back out to the streets. When we finally got home we were able to dig in AND OH MY WORD. DELICIOUS. Perfect moist cake with a rich and decadent frosting. Definitely the best carrot cake I've found in Dublin. Camerino is worth making the trip for. Will return! Note - you can order whole cakes too so worth keeping in mind for your next birthday celebration! read more

How come i haven't been there before!! Its lovely, and it smells baked bread and cakes. Very cosy and warm and you can see some of the staff making and preparing food infront of you. The baked treats look amazing and its very hard to avoid it. Coffee is fantastic too. Glad I walked by the street today other wise I wouldn't know about it. read more

It's always good to find new shops open up. Good luck to them. In time they may get better. However, we find the coffee servings a little small for the value. But, their peanut-chocolate cake. Excellent. Never tasted anything like that before. Very tasty. A few more seats would be nice. I felt like we had to leave one we got served. Give the customer the opportunity to hang round more. This place is fabulous. I had the kale sandwich. I have honestly never tasted focaccia bread like this in my life! The filling was kale, avocado, feta with some delicious lemony mayo. My pal had a challah roll with chicken which she loved! Again, she said the roll was lovely. It had a subtle sweet favour. The cake truffles were little cinnamon bites of heaven- incredibly moist! This is an absolute gem of a bakery/ cafe. I work just around the corner and find it almost impossible to avoid stopping by each morning for a perfectly made flat white with a deliciously fluffy raspberry scone and homemade jam. For lunch the soups and rotisserie chicken/ beef sandwiches are really special. The treats such as the raspberry & Lemon cake, carrot cake, Lemon Curd cake and raspberry cheesecake brownies are to die for. Be sure to visit, you will not be disappointed. read more

Shut the front door! This food is FAB! I went in to meet the owner who had penned an excellent piece in the paper. I didn't know anything about the shop, so I didn't have any expectations... WOW was I surprised! Delicious challah role sandwiches with tender, juicy chicken? Yes, please! Surprising flavour combinations that make you want to ask her how she came up with that idea. And the price was really good! I'll bring my foodie friends. Here is my one warning: the desserts are KILLER. If you thought you could have one bite of something and then let your friend take the rest, it's not gonna happen. Lines will be drawn, brother will turn against brother, cats will sleep with dogs; it'll be chaos... in sum, my apologies to my boyfriend who had to watch me eat the rest of that chocolate cake slice with the buttercream icing. Bought a birthday cake for a friend worth 110 euros to make my friend feel special and was expecting a surprise. Spoke to the baker and had told her the exact design needed. I was in for a surprise but hardly in a good way. Cake was not the flavor I asked for, was baked a couple of days in advance of the collection day. Decoration was not what I asked for as well and looked very simple for a 110 euro cake. Cake wasn't edible, very hard for a bakers cake. On askin why is it not soft, spongy - we were told that no one else had issues with the bakers cake on the same day, so how can we have. Seriously! We hardly had two slices and had to dump it. Another point I forgot about - at collection - Cake wouldnt fit in the box I was given and was told take it as is in an open box. This place might be good for scone or pastries (havent tried and can't comment), but definately not good for designer cakes. Wouldn't recommend at all! Would have been better off buying a normal 30-40 euro cake with a message on it from another bakery shop. A Fruit cake from a store looks much better. read more
