This place is by far the worst welding gas supplier Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Where do I even begin? Well lets start with the fact that their credit department is inept at doing their job. For the first time in 15 years a oxygen supplier asked to run an inquiry on my credit report. I thought ok not the biggest deal. Even tho it shouldve never occured. This is where it gets really bad. First liquid oxygen tank I got from these people damn near exploded. I was in complete shock that any welding supply would have such defective tanks for something like this to happen. Not even a day after the tank was delivered the pressure relief valve burst at 3am venting liquid oxygen into my shop space. This is very dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. I thought ok freak accidents happen. But it didnt seem to phase Cameron because they reacted like this wasnt a big deal. I assure you its a very big deal and I expected at least some compensation for nearly killing me. Nope... instead they procceded to overcharge me on my rental invoice, for a defective tank that almost killed me. I called and demanded some retribution. One of the sales reps Joe stopped by my shop to basically ridicule and mock me, making what happened seem like a joke. I dont appreciate sarcasm and mockery in a situation like this. Being the forgiving person that I am I decided to give them another chance. They delivered another defective tank that was satisfactory, but still had some internal issues that led me to lose oxygen due to the tank venting excessively. Tank number 3 comes around, and something is wrong yet again. The thing starts shooting liquid oxygen out of the vent valve. In a panic I call them again and once again, not a shred of concern or worry from Cameron. Just made me feel like I did something wrong again by asking the dumest questions as if I havent been using liquid oxygen tanks for 15 years. At this point I had it with Cameron. Requested they pick up their garbage tank and refund me my money. Two weeks later I get an email stating I owe them money for the defective tank along with some trumped up rent charges including some random processing fee only associated with crooks that try to con you for 5-10 bucks hoping you dont notice. I had to yet again go out of my way to contact them and ask the charges be corrected. A few weeks later the lady working accounting starts calling me incessantly demanding I pay my invoices. I think to myself wow, this company is a real piece of work, not only do they damn near kill me now this lady is being rude and threatening to send my account to collection over a 200 dollar invoice that is barely 60 days old. I am so utterly shocked with the extreme level of rudeness and unprofessionalism that this company exibits. STAY AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE LIKE THEY ARE COVID. They will scam you for random amounts and bring you defective tanks then claim no responsibility. read more

I love this place. The guys are super helpful. I have a full machine shop as a hobby in my garage with stick, TIG and MIG and they have great prices on gas and supplies. I have an expensive Lincoln auto darkening helmet ($400) and I thought it died. They suggesting putting it out in the sun for a few hours and that fixed it. I came in on a Saturday because they were the only welding supply store open on the weekend. I needed gas for a 75/25 gas tank of 80. They didn't have the bottle size for the exchange, and the sales guy said I could upgrade the can and go with a larger bottle. They didn't have many options for me. 3 weeks ago I bought the brand new bottle from another vendor which was now empty (for around $240) I didn't pay much attention to what they credited me, and walked away purchasing a new bottle from them. When I checked my receipt, they gave me a $60 credit towards the new bottle with my empty bottle. I came in the next Saturday and asked for my bottle back, and that the $60 core wasn't worth it. They said they couldn't help me, and to come back Monday when the manager is back in. I came in today and talked with the manager. He said the only way they could refund me is if they could find my original bottle and return it to me. After checking their back stock, they were able to help me refund the core and I now have two tanks. Thanks again for the extra help. read more

However, when I arrived, they informed me they did not have the size. Although they did not have the size they were very helpful in helping me find a store that did have my size even if it was a competitor (I appreciate that). I'll start this review by saying that I'm not a professional welder. I'll weld together custom boxes and enclosures for work that hold various electronics with stick and/or MIG, but I'm certainly not doing any structural or pipe welding. All of the gentlemen working at the store were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to listen to what I was working to accomplish in order to make the proper recommendations. I had been to a few other welding supply places and was taken aback by the level of snobbery from some of the guys (who instead of actually welding, were working at a store...). At Cameron they were actually excited about what I was doing and got me pumped to finish the project. I finished up the big project and have been welding other smaller projects realizing that I had finally reached the limitations of my cheap welders' capabilities. I decided that it was time to upgrade and had been eying a multi-process welder. After researching various welding machines for a few days, I found the one that best fits my needs and picked it up from them. Having the appropriate equipment has not only improved the quality of my welds, but has made welding much more enjoyable. They are right down the street from my business so there's an 'A' for convenience and their prices are competitive. Also there's not a lot of waiting when I come in. They usually have my tanks filled by the time I'm done in their office and the people at the service counter are courteous and friendly. Came in looking for shaded welding glass. Specifically shade #14, which is recommended for viewing "space things" like eclipses and such. I just kept forgetting to order some online, and Venus making it's way in front of the sun kind of snuck up on me. After hours of trying to find a place that had shade #14, I wasn't surprised to find that all the stores carrying welding glass within a 30 mile radius were sold out of anything #11 and higher. As you -should- know, #10 is too low to look through, because, well, it's the freaking sun. Your retinas will die. Anyway, I walked in and they immediately knew I was looking for this glass. They had some #13 in stock still, and knew that the Long Beach location pretty much just had one #14 lens left. I wasn't about to go out there, and I knew that I was only going to look at Venus sporadically over the hours it was happening, for a few seconds at a time, and that I wasn't going to stare at it, so I bought two #13s. Definitely worth it to be able to view something so cool. Super, super friendly people working here. I'd come back to get the #14 when they have it in stock again. read more

Just spent around $600 dollars here and these guys were super helpful. Don't bother with the basic cookie cutter IMS welding supply. I called them about 10 times one day and never got sick of me but hooked me up in the end and I will be back for sure. First off, Awesome customer service. I was helped out by Ben, awesome personality,very helpful and knowledgable on the products/materials they sell. When I informed Ben that I was taking courses at the college he let me know that they have packages set up already for students and at very reasonable discounted prices, they got some good stuff lined up in that package, which I picked up a nice Lincoln Electric VIKING 2450 at a steal price. Even got some good prices on Welding Rods and Electrodes. I'm letting all my classmates know about Cameron they've got the best prices around town especially if you are a student they understand that we are tight on money and that this stuff isn't cheap so they want to help us out. I will definitely be coming back here for sure I didn't leave feeling stupid like I have at other welding supply stores I left happy and with more knowledge that was given to me by the friendly staff at Cameron. Do not bother with this place! By far the most rude people I have ever encountered. We showed up on Black Friday to fill tanks for my buddy's fabrication business. First Mike is coming out of the back yelling at a coworker in a vulgar manner. He then rudely asks what we want to which my friend advised he needed his tanks filled in the back. We go out there, Mike takes one brief look at the tanks and says, "Can't help you!" When asked why, he claimed they we're rental tanks. He was told no, they're not rentals. They are owned tanks as his business relies on welding steel! Mike retorted back in the rudest way possible, "No you dont!" And shoved the tanks towards him almost dumping two cylinders to the pavement. Then proceeds to laugh as he walked away. This guy is by far a toxic example to what is wrong with customer service and lost the business of a successful parts manufacturer. Today was a few hundred, potential long term was tens of thousands. read more
