Briefly, our little guy is a new addition to our family and we were seeking a trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable and kind dogsitter to occasionally watch him. We have never gone outside our family to have someone watch one of our pets. So, we were unsure whether Colean, or anybody (!), could provide the trust and care that we get with other family members. Very quickly, Colean earned our trust. She initially had us visit her house with our dog to see whether he had the right temperament to fit into her pet community. Luckily, our little guy did very well. And, ultimately, we entrusted Colean to watch him overnight on a recent trip. We received continual updates via text throughout the evening and the next morning until we picked him up. We feel fortunate to have someone of Colean's skill, passion and commitment to rely upon.

We began taking our puppy to Dogs Abound in April after a Zoom consultation with Courtney. I was a…read morelittle taken aback by Courtney who seemed a big standoff-ish during the chat but decided to give the place a shot... after all, I cared more about finding trainers who treated my puppy well more than treating me well. After the first visit, employee Matt said he wasn't sure if they could board our puppy until they knew he would do well with other dogs (totally understandable) but when I mentioned I wanted to do training sessions, he and Courtney got nice quickly and signed me up for everything! I really wanted my 4-month-old puppy to get out of his shell, gain confidence and make friends so I ended up paying for a 10-pack of training sessions. I also read the Yelp reviews here so decided it would work. The training sessions included a Zoom chat with the trainer, Vivien, after four classes. When it was time for our first Zoom chat, the trainer wasn't able to connect to a computer so she called me, which was understandable (happens to all of us, right?) I asked her if she could send me videos (since we didn't get a Zoom chat) of the lessons she was teaching my puppy so I could reinforce it at home and she agreed. A few days past and I didn't get anything so I texted her. I immediately received an email from Courtney telling me not to communicate to her trainer directly. Um ok? I told her Vivien told me she would send me videos because we didn't get our Zoom chat and asked how she would address the problem. Vivien ends up sending me a very lengthy email instead. Another four training sessions pass and we get another Zoom session with Vivien, which was actually helpful! I finally learned what my puppy was learning this whole time! After our final two training sessions, we get an email stating they will now charge $3 per day to feed your dog! WHAT? As though spending hundreds of dollars for training and care isn't enough, they want to profit off feeding your dog and charge more than the food itself? I immediately notified Dogs Abound I wouldn't be returning with my pup. After I canceled, my husband told me that one time when he picked up our dog, he heard one of the employees say to a dog "you little sh*t." Yup, you read that right. An employee called a dog "YOU LITTLE SH*T") I'm all about giving people the benefit of the doubt and like I said, I'd rather have them treat my puppy well than me. However, these greedy folks obviously lack any basic customer service skills. The terrible communication and more importantly, how they treat their clients (fur and human), shows they don't care. I'm also thrown off by the Yelp reviews. Maybe the employees have some hidden biases? We just transitioned to Dogtopia and we are SO MUCH HAPPIER at the level of communication, professionalism and honest love they show the dogs --which can be viewed via Webcam. (I once asked Courtney if she could send me a photo of my puppy and she said no). I suppose this is my lesson in giving people the benefit of the doubt! Not everyone deserves it! UPDATE: My husband saw the dog picked up by the owner after the employee called him a "little sh*t," but nice effort by the owner for trying to defend the verbal abuse of dogs. Good to know she isn't ashamed of acknowledging that she herself may verbally abuse her dogs from time to time.

Our pup gets waaaaay too excited even as we're driving up the street to drop off and he's always eager to get off the car and get to his puppy friends. It's a plus when Missy is there to welcome him! Missy is for sure one of his favorite people at Dogs Abound. Liz, Broke, Courtney and all of the Dogs Abound Team have been amazing with our pup and give this dog mum peace of mind that he's in great hands when I can't be with him. My review is based on camp and boarding w/camp…read more We were searching for the right doggy day-camp, so called a few places. I was told there's an evaluation process (which was expected since I had to do this with other potential facilities), and Josh helped answer all my questions! He explained everything clearly and even sent me photos and video of my pup to let me know how he was doing (he settled in nicely and was doing well)! There isn't a time limit for the evaluation, so I kept my pup there all day to let him have the full experience. I've since bought the punchcard which has two options. 10 daycamps for $400 or 20 for $700. We dropped our dog off a few times over summer for day camp, and almost a handful of times we were called just a couple hours after drop off because they had to bring the dogs in due to the heat. We were still charged a full day of camp. I get the full day charge if we leave our dog there all day, but it would've been great if they worked with us to charge half days (prorate it), or give a few extra comp days to compensate if we pick him up right away (which is almost always before 12). One time they noticed he rolled in his own pee while in the kennel, so they offered to give him a complimentary bath which I appreciated! Now onto my boarding experience. First and foremost, the rate for boarding is: $63. The rate for boarding with camp is $87. I signed up for boarding with camp, and asked a few times on different occasions about the charges for boarding with camp (ie. what's the cutoff time that I need to pick him up by, etc) - and was told 12pm. I asked if there was flexibility to pick him up before 3 since I indicated in the application - but the price listed is per day - so if you want your pup to have camp on the day of pickup, that's an extra fee. Multiple people told me in person and over the phone that I "should be ok" because I put it on my application - so I didn't think I'd be charged extra. So watch out for this and your pickup times if you decide to board here. They won't honor what you were told over the phone, and will only reference the contract. Also, if you sign up for boarding with camp, you are billed separately for each of the services, which creates some confusion but the math adds upcorrectly. Our dog ended up with conjunctivitis after his second boarding stay, so we were hit with an unexpected vet bill on top of that. Overall, the hours are convenient and I'm glad we found the right place for our dog, but the customer service / communication aspect for boarding needs improvement. Shoutout to Josh for all you do! It's your service and TLC you give our pup that keeps us coming back.

They have a well organized curriculum and also work on socialization and appropriate play. Wonderful dedicated teachers. We tried several classes again to figure out where we wanted to continue our obedience training and have decided we will continue here!
