Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Camp Bow Wow in Alpharetta. They were so accommodating with some pop in visits at the last minute for Trinity (our 10 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback). She got some good playtime while we were up here in North GA for 10 days. The half-day was just the right amount of time she needed. Every time I picked up Trinity it was obvious she had a blast! And she passed out as soon as she got in the car. We love Camp Bow Wow (CBW). Theo started attending camp in January of 2024. Every time Theo goes to camp, he goes in running. When he comes home, he's exhausted. He loves all the friends he has made there, both people and dogs. Today he got stung by a wasp at camp and Darla alerted us of his injury quickly and efficiently. She called our vet, looked for vets nearby, and got us an appointment quickly as he was having a bad reaction. When I came to pick him up she was kind enough to wave the day charge, since he only got a few hours of play time before his injury. I absolutely love Camp Bow Wow and this location is no different. We recently moved to the area and wanted our pups to spend the day at camp while the movers unpacked for us. The owner was super accommodating and helped to get my pups in. I love Camp Bow Wow because they truly care for the pets that are taken there. Standing in the lobby I observed the staff greeting pups that came in by name. Watching the cams, you can see the pet counselors interacting with the dogs in the play yards. Loved their interview process to see if our Golden Retrievers would be ok at their facility. My dogs love going to Camp Bow Wow. They hang out all day with other dogs and they aren't bored ...when they come home they are tired. Everyone is so nice and they have cameras so you can check on them anytime. My husband and I have been so incredibly impressed with Camp Bow Wow Alpharetta! Our little pup absolutely loves this place. It's like she can smell where she is as soon as we get to the parking lot; she jumps out of the car and goes straight for the door! There are closer kennels to us, but we are more than willing to drive the 7+ miles for the wonderful service and friendly smiles they provide! The staff is so friendly and it's very evident that they all enjoy working with all the furbabies there! We have done half-day daycare, full-day daycare, overnight boarding, multiple-night boarding, nail-trimming and baths there. Not once have we been disappointed with the service! I am also very thankful to them for making room for our puppy last weekend and this weekend for one-night boarding during a very busy spring break time. We unexpectedly have needed boarding for our little girl 2 weekends in a row... 2 of the busiest weekends they have, yet they were able to accommodate us and called us back to confirm they had room. We had 4 great years at Camp Bow Wow zero issues, zero complaints. We always trusted them with our dogs and knew they were in good hands. Heck, we still would. However one Friday during pick up we were told that they would prefer we not bring one of our dogs back. Ok? Was he aggressive? Not according to the teen on duty. So what happened? No real idea. Something about one of them wanting to get out every time they opened the gate. And it is becoming too much to handle (heard: annoying). One would think that they would be trained to work with four legged escape artists. We are still not 100% sure what happened really, I was told we would be followed up with after filling out a survey about our experience and never got that follow up. We ended up giving another daycare a try (Countryside Estates) and have been super happy. They have a different structure to their daycare that appears to be working well. And best part, they have no issues with our dogs and their quirks. read more

Camp Bow Wow is great! On days that my wife and I have busy schedules and can't devote as much time as necessary to tire out our pup, we take her to CBW. They're attentive, friendly, and genuinely love to have your dog there. We like to see Maggie Mae play with the other dogs, so having the cameras around is awesome! The staff is always present and you can always see them petting the dogs they're around. They do genuinely love all the dogs--and they know all the dogs by name (remarkable because I even forget my own dog's name sometimes!). I primarily utilize their day-camp service and have never boarded Maggie there, but I imagine that the care is as impeccable as always. Furthermore, they offer grooming services which I do take advantage of (having Maggie's nails trimmed is a nightmare, so it's lovely that somebody else takes care of it). Best part about dog camp? Camp Bow Wow is a wonderful place to take your dog to play for the day or stay while you're out of town! We've been coming to this location for several years and have always enjoyed the staff, and have found them to be very knowledge and dependable when it comes to our little buddy. Our dog requires a special diet and can't have the typical treats or dog food that most dogs can. Camp Bow Wow goes out of there way to make sure he doesn't get any food or treats that would make him sick, which is very comforting especially when leaving him for a few days. They are also extremely friendly and caring with the best interest of the dogs at heart. The best part about Camp Bow Wow is the overall concept. You can leave your dog overnight if you headed out of town, or you can take your dog there for the day to play and socialize with other dogs. When you leave your dog for overnight stays, they will get to play in the morning and afternoon with other dogs so by the time night rolls around they are exhausted instead of being locked up in a kennel a day. In the afternoons the dogs have a chance to eat lunch and rest. Then back to the play yard for more fun. There is even an indoor and outdoor play yard the dogs can run between if the weather is nice. One of our favorite features is that you can literally watch your dog play on your computer or smartphone while they are there. It's so great to see our happy dog running around and in good spirits while we are away. We've also always been allowed to go in back and see the kennel that our dog is staying in as well as the play yards. Plus we can bring his bed and a toy for him, which is probably more comforting for us than it is to him. From somebody who has tried other places and been disappointed with the care and attention our pet has received, I can truly say that Camp Bow Wow delivers top notch pet service. read more

Camp Bow Wow is the place to leave our fluffy boy when we go on long trips. He is placed in the tea cup room with other dogs for socialization. Given time alone in his cabin and feed well while we are away. There are other services offered before pick up such a toe nail trim, grooming or just a bath. She had never stayed away from home ever. After her staying 4 night I picked her up. They were nice & said she had a tough time at night. Few days latter she had a nasty cough & licking Her paws non stop. Off to the Vet & she had "Kennel Cough" Call ask for the owner, she was busy and the person asked what can I tell her ? Told him she had "Kennel Cough" and he OK I'll tell her, I asked for her to call me back. She did and she OK thanks for letting us know. When I first moved to Alpharetta, I had no clue where I was going to board dexter. I started looking places up and camp bow wow sounded as quirky as my dog is. He absolutely loved it!!!! He goes every chance we get and the staff absolutely adore him. They can't ever get enough of him which makes me feel great because that's my baby. We drop our two dogs for day care at Camp Bow Wow practically every weekend while we play golf. We have two rescues, one is 90 pounds and the other is half that size. Both our dogs have different personalities and temperaments, but neither has experienced any problems while playing here. We have tried and looked at quite a few other day care centers, but this is the only one we use now! The cost is very reasonable and the facility is well maintained. The cameras and on line access to them do need to be improved, but alot of places do not have any cameras. Our dogs come home happy and very tired from all the activity. The employees always seem very knowledgeable about each dog's day. They routinely recognize our dogs by sight and welcome them when we arrive. It's tough to keep them from jumping over the gate when we arrive because they are sooooo excited to be there! We highly recommend this place for sure. read more

Never ever ever will I deal with them again. Tried to set up a grooming, her staff was very misinformed. The woman (manager?) I spoke to was very very very rude. I will go out of my way to tell people at the dog park about this horrible place. Please get your people on the same page if they are going to give out 'bad' information. ---- updated for owners comments. I am unemployed, I have been trying to find a place to get my dog groomed (I have tried to groom my dog, it did not work out well.). With all the heat my dog is having a rough time, I have never had a dog that needed grooming, I have trimmed him in the past. At the dog park I asked around if anyone knew who trained dog groomers? (I was told there was a school that teaches, but they do not anymore). Perhaps they could use my dog as a 'training' dog? A dog owner mentioned this company, and specifically a 'great' groomer. This person at the dog park works for this company and was very proud of the company- a good sign. I then called and spoke to a very very nice person, explaining my situation. That person, a groomer, explained to me that they had unfortunately, finished their training, but they would 'see what they could do and would call me back' ( "I will see what I can do"- very pleasant on the phone). I understood. I never got a call back as promised. I tried to call back a few times. I called back to see what the situation was (not "asking for a free grooming"- I did explain my situation, not remembering the nice persons name I had spoken to before) the woman I spoke to (who wrote the below message) was very rude. I know that her workers are hard working and get paid for their work- all I wanted was the promised return phone call. All that person had to do was (nicely) explain the situation and I would have been done with it. Again- the groomer was super-nice and simply wanted to hear back from them. It never hurts to ask. That was not the case- the owner on the phone was very aggressive and nasty to me. If you want business there is a nice, and not nice way to be...Who knows- maybe once I find a job I might need a great groomer? and maybe I would then share that great experience with others? The first person was genuinely that nice on the phone. Imagine my disgust when dealing with the 'owner'. (I am using gender neutral pronouns to protect that person). I hold no ill-will towards the groomer or the other person who was trying to be very kind- and LOVE their wonderful dog! Nope. She was very rude. I hope that if this person ever needs a favor or kindness that someone kicks them when they are down. Have a terrific day. read more

My dog has been going to Camp Bow Wow since the Duluth location opened. When this location opened, I started bringing my dog here when I needed a kennel. I love this place. When I am gone, I can watch him online or even on my iPhone during the day. Although the Duluth location is alright, I really love the staff at the Alpharetta location, they are great, very attentive. It is obvious the owner, Jeanette, really cares about dogs and makes sure this place is top notch. I travel frequently so my dog, Oliver, ends up here quite a bit. Our four rescue dogs have been going to Camp Bow Wow for about seven years, we really enjoyed the staff along with the cameras that allow us to see our babies even when we are far away. Unfortunately, do to unprofessional management we no longer will be bringing any of our pets here. In August of last year our dog Daisy was involved in an altercation with another dog. When we were told at pick-up that this happened we were stunned. (No one ever called us to let us know anything had happened.) We thought that they were confusing her with another dog named Daisy as they had done when we dropped her off at the beginning of the week. Michelle had told us that Daisy had expired Rabies vaccine, we then later discovered that she was talking about a dog named "Daisy May". She told us at pick-up that daisy had snapped at this other dog. We were so concerned and felt horrible, she made it seem like it was no big deal and that the other dog was nervous and distracted and disturbed many of the other dogs often and that Daisy's action was just a reaction to this dog. She even went as far as to say that she thinks the other dog should no longer go to camp because of his/her behavior. We asked if Daisy would still be able to come to camp and she said, very clearly, "Yes, as long as she does not have any incident like this again, we can still board her but give her more alone time and naps since she is an older dog." We foster dogs and Daisy has a cat and three other dogs in our home at all times, she has never been aggressive so we thought it would never be an issue. Fast Forward to Yesterday when I called to make their reservation for our family vacation and I was told that Daisy had been dismissed. Dismissed? WHAT?!?! No one ever said that, in fact, Michelle went out of her way to say the opposite. If this decision had been made at a later time and they called and explained this to us, we would have understood. Instead, they told me three weeks before my vacation when I can't possibly find another place that I trust and has the availability I need. ( I wanted to put our two seniors together in a suite). We were told sorry for the misunderstanding, there was no misunderstanding, Michelle straight up lied. In fact, had we been told sooner we would have also got refunded the difference on our account which didn't happen until yesterday which is more proof that we were never informed that our dog was "dismissed". I will probably now have to miss my family vacation because I love my pets very much and won't just board them any place. Thanks a lot Camp Bow Wow! I will make sure everyone in the rescue/foster world that I know, knows how poorly you treated a long time loyal Customer. By the way, Jen the other manager handled this very well, Michelle should have had to be responsible and deal with the mess she created. read more

Perfect doggy day-care! My dog loves this place! I love this place! I can't find a thing wrong with it. I did a lot of research when I was looking for a new place to leave my dog a couple days per week and Camp Bow Wow looked like a great place. I dropped in for an unscheduled visit and tour and was very happy to find that it didn't smell like animals (as many places do) and that it was very clean and VERY VERY friendly. The staff is amazing. They know each dog and I've seen them take time to play with the dogs, hug them, and pet them just because they love dogs. We've taken our dog there for overnight stays and for day care. My dog loves going there. The dogs are grouped in rooms by size and there is a person in the room with them all of the time. Being able to check in on my dog via their webcam is a great feature. The dogs are put in roomy cages over night. You bring your dog's bedding, toys and food from home or use what the camp provides.The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.They also offer grooming service, which is great for when your dog has been staying there for a week. read more

We have used Camp Bow Wow for both day care and boarding and could not be happier. Our three Schnauzers really enjoy their time there and come home happy and tired! We enjoy being able to view the cameras and check in on them and the staff really enjoys their work with the "campers!" I also appreciate that the staff is willing to feed our own food without charging me more to do so! I have used other premium boarding facilities before and really appreciate how everything is included in the price at Camp Bow Wow. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
