From the time I called to picking Otis up it was flawless! Elle was great, and the owner gave us a great restaurant to go to for the fried chicken! But most of all we felt very comfortable leaving Otis over night for the first time. We were able to watch him via camera and called. Bottom line Otis was happy. We'll be using them again! read more

June 25 around 7:30 AM. I dropped my dog off at Camp Bow Wow in Richardson, High Five Texas for daycamp. He was going to attend the daycamp for about two days that Tuesday and Wednesday I dropped him off. Of course he's always nervous every time he hast to be apart from me daycare has video cam that you can watch your pups on around the time that I saw My dog when I got on the cameras to check on him was about 10:28 AM. I seen him standing at the door staring at it however I do know when he is not with and a adult is not there he will bark and cry excessively I returned back to the cameras about 1055am and I don't see him nowhere in frame I checked the cameras repeatedly to see if he was back inside of the camp. I also checked all of the other cameras to see if they moved him. He was nowhere in sight so I just assumed they put him up with them some day cares have done in the past around 4 something p.m. he appears back on camera and on the camera, he looks a little distressed and wore out. I could tell how he was laying flat on the floor that he was exhausted however is daycare of course they get exhausted but how is he exhausted if he is not in the room playing with the other dogs, I arrived to pick him up about 5:15 PM. There was a gentleman there that went to the back to get him. he did not carry him out he let him run out, and I noticed he was cowering down, ready to run out the front door looking frantic. I picked him up typically, my dog makes a lot of screaming noises when we are apart once he sees me again. he went to try to do all the yelping, but he couldn't. His voice was gone. I asked him what happened to his voice. They both looked at me like if they really didn't know. I also asked did he throw up his mouth was wet and stinky. of course they didn't know anything about that however, when I was checking the cameras throughout the day, I noticed there was no worker in there with them at all the whole day I asked the lady that discharged him did he have water? She looked as she didn't really know. I packed water in his lunch bag with his food and snack. She told me he ate two of his little snacks in there, and that was about it. His water bottle was never opened so he was forced to share water bowl with the other dogs, which I know my dog would not do that so of course he went the whole entire day without drinking anything so we got in the vehicle, usually he's very happy to see me, but I noticed it was more nervousness and scared at this moment. I'm not pacing together. What could happen at the camp typically when he is at the front with the workers they will tell me these workers did not tell me anything. I didn't even receive a report on his day how he did which I usually do the workers demeanor seemed a little off once I sat back and was thinking about everything. It's just like they didn't know anything about my dog besides his name and he was there. When I got him in the car, I opened his lunchbox and gave him some water. He drunk at least a half a bottle of water just note my dog is only 12 pounds. Usually he wants to use the bathroom when we come out of daycare cause sometimes he won't use the bathroom this time he didn't even want to use the bathroom. He just wanted to get in the car, typically he sits on my lap lap, but that day he got in the backseat in his bed halfway through my drive I look back. I noticed he threw up when we got home. He ran straight to the bathroom and laid on the floor. Something he never done unusual behavior that I noticed in him the entire night into the next day all he wanted to do is sleep, which is usual sometimes when they come from daycare, they can be really exhausted from playing with other dogs. Remember, he was never playing with the dogs as time goes on. He's acting strange super disconnected from me the next day. I had no intentions on taking him back there I called another camp Bow Wow in the area I spoke to a manager she let me know that she will reach out to find the owner The manager from the other camp contacted me back to let me know she has spoken to one of the managers and that they will call me Wednesday, June 25 however, I'm not ever got a call from no one the entire day Wednesday my behavior was still off I noticed he kept licking his tongue out, his mouth was dry. I couldn't really figure out what was going on so later that day I looked closely at his face and noticed bruising on his lip and his nose because I had gave him a bath so I was cleaning him up, so this explains why all the excessive licking he kept doing and I couldn't figure out what was going on with him, I noticed he keeps biting at his left arm which I'm really not seeing much what's going on with it, but this didn't happen until he left at camp. I would give this place infinite stars if i could! I decided to try camp bow wow after not liking how my previous dog daycare place treated my dog. And i can't express enough how sweet the staff is to both my dog and I. They are so accommodating and transparent. I have been using CBWDHF for at least 3 years (2.5 years before I was married and under a different last name, and 6 months after changing my name). However, this past year, the org has gone downhill: -- They sent my dog home with the wrong dog food (couldn't tell me how it happened) and my dog became ill from a still undetermined reason in which we are continuing to spend money on seeking vet attention. This could easily be a liability lawsuit. When I reached out about this, Mattie told me he couldn't handle this and I had to wait until Daniel (I believe that's his name) got back from having an emergency surgery. I reached out a week later to check in on how Daniel was and if I could get a response, and Mattie shared he was still recovering. I never heard back from them and yet am still paying for vet visits and test to determine what has happened to her. -- They have confirmed at least 3 of my reservations and later had to rescind saying it was a mistake and they were fully booked. I had to scramble to find other means of boarding for my pup at the last minute. They are unreliable, dishonest, and lack in strong communication. They finally actually agreed that they are not able to provide substantial service- via email when they rescinded another one of my reservations (pictured below). CBW is a franchise and there are other CBWs in the area that are incredible, they are just further away. I would encourage you to try Rowlett or Mckinney instead. read more

Let me start the review by saying I was a little skeptical before I brought my pup over to this location. I had a bad experience with the location in Colleyville (reviewed in another review). But this location has been fantastic! They bent over backwards to accommodate my kiddo on short notice after the Colleyville location was awful. Every time I come in the staff is friendly, kind, and my dog loves them! The fact their cameras stream online makes this nervous dad rest a bit easier when I drop him off. And every time I get my dog back, he's happy, and exhausted (which is a good thing, it means he's had fun playing). Several times I've tuned in to see the staff doting on my little guy and giving him love and attention. My only complaint after several visits is one time I called and left a message (just checking in on my dog) and they didn't return the call. I ended up calling back over 24 hours later, and everything was ok, they were just busy and I fell through the cracks. All in all, this place seems like it really cares and my dog loves going there. I have extremely mixed feelings writing this review. The direct support staff are absolutely AMAZING. However, and that is a HUGE however, the owners are extremely unprofessional and lack effective communication skills. There was a brief incident between my dog and their dog. The owners have not once reached out. BUT they did decide to go and cancel my boarding reservations for Christmas and New Years (less than 3 weeks prior) which was booked months prior to ensure availability due to out of state travel without notifying me. I love this place. It is worth every penny to know and witness with your own eyes that your dog is having a great day at camp! Camp Bow Wow is a great place to socialize your dog. I recently adopted my dog from a shelter and haven't gotten the courage to introduce her to other dogs for the fear she will be aggressive considering she is a German Shepard mix and they get a bad reputation. I really wanted her to be friendly. I decided to take her to Camp Bow Wow for the interview process they require of all of their dogs. Dogs must be people and dog friendly in order to spend time there, so they get a free interview. During my dog's interview, I got to watch from a camera. It was great because I wasn't right by her to distract her, but I got to watch her get introduced to other dogs one by one. One of their employees was right there with me explaining everything that was happening in the the introduction. He explained how well my dog was doing and that she was not scared or aggressive based on her behavior. However, they do wait three hours to see what happens to let me know what their decision is about her being accepted into camp bow wow. She did get approved and got a cute little certificate. So, I left her there and downloaded their app to watch the live web cam. It was kind of addicting watching her in a large room with 15 or more other dogs the same size as her. I could just watch her walk around, play, lay down and sometimes go outside from the app on my phone. This is nothing like what I imagined boarding a dog would be like. I thought she would have to stay in a kennel by herself all day. My dog also got a bath while she was there. My dog is beautiful but doesn't need any special grooming particulars. I was happy with the bath my dog got. She was smelling and looking good afterwards! Once my dog came home, she ate then went strait to sleep. When we are home she usually follows me everywhere, but when she gets home from Camp Bow Wow she is exhausted and I can tell she is happy. And even BETTER, I saw what she did all day! I constantly check in on the app web cam and see what she is up to. It's nothing like when we come home from the vet! read more

I've been using Camp Bow Wow High Five for several years now. When I had my senior dog, they did so wonderful with her and it wasn't until a recent adoption of a new dog that I began using CBW again and I'm happy to see that they still rock! The staff is always super friendly and even just the few times I've taken my dog here for daycare, they already greet him by name. Watching him on the webcams during the day is reassuring to me that he's having a good time and making friends. The facility is always clean and the pricing is comparable to pretty much everywhere else in town. Happy to be a repeat customer! read more

Based on the reviews, I thought this location would be great for my dog to come to over Thanksgiving. We paid for 6 nights in total for my dog to stay. Everything went supposedly smoothly while I was gone. The managers were very attentive every time I called and let me know how he was doing. However, while they meant well, I don't believe he was taken care of like I'd hoped and like they thought. He got "groomed" the day I was picking him up. All of his nails were cut down past the quick and many were bleeding. He was in a lot of pain, panting and licking. I had to do soap, benzocaine, and flour treatments to get him to stop. Bow Wow had ZERO permission from me to touch his nails. And while one of the managers said that sometimes "it's hard to tell" and that some dogs don't pull away in pain, I know my dog. He'll let you know how he feels. I then noticed he had some cuts on his face and on his ear that were scabbed over. I called Bow Wow to ask, but he "never got in an altercation with another dog". It's extremely clear that he in fact did, and the cuts were bothering him so I had to treat them. They should have been treated on site. It's evident that this location is either understaffed, had too many dogs to look after, or was just not paying enough attention. I then noticed that his ears were bothering him. After the bath, I'm assuming this "groomer" also failed to put in ear drying aid, because he came home with a double ear infection that day. His ears were in perfect condition when I dropped him off. So that ended up being a $173 vet bill for a visit and the meds to fix it. Furthermore, he smelled even worse! So, the bath that we paid extra for not only made him smell bad, he was also injured and had to go to the vet. I then found a bottle of medication for another dog in his bag. She asked me if she could pick up the meds to return to the dog's owner to make things right. This call was on Monday or Tuesday. It is now Saturday and I'm yet to hear from them about anyone coming to get it. It was probably forgotten about. The manager assured me he wasn't given the medication. However, the lack of attentiveness just based on everything I saw when I brought him back now makes me wonder otherwise. All in all, I'm extremely unimpressed. I'm not sure if this location is more attentive and functions better during non-holiday times where they are not as packed. But I would recommend a different location if possible. I got an apology from the managers from all of the issues that the groomer caused, but that's not going to pay the $173 vet bill and cure the infection in his ears and heal his jagged nails. I've attached pictures below of the cuts on his ear and face, his nails, his expen$ive ear meds, and the bottle of medication mistakenly given to me. This place should be avoided. Took my dog here for the "interview" trial before heading out of town & I was disgusted by the smell that permeated through the building. My mini goldendoodle, Bailey, loves coming to Camp Bow Wow. She literally pulls me towards the front door and experiences no separation anxiety when my husband and I leave. The staff is beyond friendly and knew Bailey by name the second time we came in. I was blown away but such a small gesture - it meant so much. It costs $22 a day to come to camp - which is a steal. If you book a larger package (30 days) the price drops to $17.50 a day. I love that it is affordable and convenient. Bailey comes home from camp exhausted. She sleeps in the car on the way home. For our high-energy puppy, we love that she is more subdued at home when we are winding down. I would recommend, hands down, this Camp Bow Wow location. Love the staff and love the concept! I Love this place!! It is very clean, well staffed & never have any problems with drop-off or pick-up of my pet. The staff members really seem to care about my beloved while I leave him there in their care. I think it is very important for all the dog lovers to read this! We truly believe our dog, Misty, is at the heart of our family. Therefore like many people we do NOT like leaving her for work or personal obligations out of town. That being said, Steve and his staff take such good care of her. I've been a loyal Camp Bow Wow - Dallas High Five patron since I adopted my dog Rosy in 2012. If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would. I trust Steve and the entire staff completely and have nothing but positive experiences to share. I know my dog is looked after, taken care of, and most importantly, loved on by the staff every time I drop her off for boarding. I hate leaving her behind, but she seems to absolutely love being at Camp Bow Wow and she is worn out whenever I take her home. It's also a great feeling to know the staff loves my dog. Rosy is a bit of a character, but it makes me so happy when any of the staff recognizes her and knows her by name. She can be a handful at times, but Steve and his crew never let it phase them! They treat her like she isn't just another dog staying at the facility. I really think this is something that differentiates Camp Bow Wow from other boarders - they treat every dog with love and really try to get to know them individually. An additional bonus, they are AWESOME at grooming. Rosy hates baths, nail trims, ear cleaning, etc. but the staff manages to get her bathed and spiffed up without having to tranquilize my dog :-) I should have written this review ages ago, but if you need a place to board your dog, bath your dog, or treat them to a daycare day, this is your spot! read more

My dogs were very happy when they came back from day camp and I could tell they enjoyed their day. This is crucial to me: my dogs are like my children/babies. Before I walked in to Camp Bow Wow Dallas High Five I wasn't sure what to expect: because it's a franchise I wasn't sure if my dogs would receive the personal attention they've gotten at dog daycares in the past ~ but Steve and his staff proved me wrong instantly. I met two of the managers as well as Steve the owner and one of the managers gave me a tour of the facility. The dogs have indoor/outdoor access all day long (through plastic walk through dividers much like you would see in a warehouse)...: this felt natural to me as my boys have a dog door at home so I was happy to see they had this feature. I am only giving a two star for the nice attitude Rob has and very friendly... I have a husky and a frenchie and I know how much work a husky can be but I believe I have received much better grooming elsewhere. I paid for de shedding services and came home to brush her coat and have so much hair coming out and don't feel as if they did a proper job at brushing her. In all honesty I feel as if my dogs were just wet and maybe shampooed if that because they smelled like wet dogs and were still wet and not properly dried when i picked them up. Should of known it might not be that good of a job when I'm told to return in 1.5 hours for them. Petco usually takes 2-3 hours to brush out my husky. I had to blow dry my dogs and ended up using dog fragrance to clear up some of the wet dog scent. Like I said the staff from Rob to the lady who brought them out were extremely nice and professional! read more

Maybe it was my fault for getting my hopes up after reading various reviews & doing research but I have to say.. I wasn't impressed. Granted, despite previous daycare experience, my pup only spent the trial day with CBB & that day is what this review is based upon. 1. What they mean by separating dogs by size is that REALLY they put all the obviously big dogs together and anything smaller gets thrown in a room with about 40 other dogs of all kinds of sizes & temperaments. My dog is a tiny puppy and he wasn't the only one to get jilted by another dog or 3 that SHOULD have been kept on the bigger dogs side. 2. Although the camp counselors seem to mean well & know well enough: you can tell even on the cameras they don't play with the dogs much, they just kind of stand around looking at them. Then again, with 40 dogs for one person to watch at one time, I guess that makes sense. ------ That being said, they also never followed any of the puppies outside for continued supervise play. Their business seems credible enough but I didn't feel like my puppy received any real care or attention while he was there. The only cool thing about this place are the doggy webcams making it so I could witness all this for myself. Idk about you, but my dog is my baby. read more

I have let this slide over the years but today was the last straw. They finally showed up at 7:15am today with not so much as an apology. It's a little early for the review but so far, I love what I'm seeing! After exactly one year of adopting Draco, our spunky, feisty and playful German Shepherd, it was time for boarding options. My husband and I had taken no longer than a weekend trip and my brother-in-law had watched him in our house but I knew sooner or later, we needed another option. So after a year of NEVER sleeping anywhere but his home -Draco stayed overnight to test the waters! Okay so first thing- love the staff! This is not a some uptight corporate setting so don't walk in expecting a luxury doggie spa. The staff is down to earth, friendly, and you can tell- they love dogs! It's a welcoming and relaxed place for pups and their families so please don't change that to accommodate to people who need the red carpet rolled out. Secondly, I've seen some people comment on their dogs getting a little roughed up or not being watched 100%. Okay people- dogs ARE dogs, despite our instinct to treat them like children. No judgement, I'm the first to admit that I treat my GSD like royalty (haha I know I'm a sucker) but dogs need to play so let the pups do what they're suppose to do, get a little crazy and rowdy! Geez! Draco didn't eat dinner that night or next morning which I was mentally prepped for, I knew there was just too much going on to eat. He was completely tuckered out when he got home and since he's not kenneled/crate trained at all so I'm not sure how we adjusted to his sleeping arrangements. If you're dog is like ours, never boarded and not kenneled, you'll notice the same symptoms of exhaustion. Update 6 months after first post: CBW has become Violet's favorite place. I recently had to board her while I worked long hours and felt guilty for doing so. Seeing her run right into CBW was all the commentary needed, though. Ms Amanda, Ms Allona (sp?), Mr James and the others have become VI's good friends. She goes once a week now and it is such a blessing to know they love my Hot Mess nearly as much as I do! It's true what you see on shows-dogs teach other dogs. VI's anxiety is 100% better than when she started going to camp. The dogs-in the positive and "good vibe" environment the CBW staff maintains-have taught her to relax. This is a huge blessing. I am very picky when it comes to how my furry girl is treated, but CBW has far and away exceeded my expectations, every single time. They are amazing. They truly care for the dogs in their care, and they have been such a blessing. Original post 11/1/16: We love CBW! My two year old rescue Violet that I've had for five months is a fairly anxious dog and has been unpredictable on our neighborhood walks. Sometimes she reacts to other dogs, and sometimes not. When we went to CBW for the three hour socialization interview, I loved the staff. They told me right away her body language was good, and that if she did become unsure of other dogs, they could teach her. I love that they gave her three hours to adjust, unlike another boarder that gave us 5 mins. She did great and passed the interview. I loved how understanding and lovable and knowledgeable the staff was of the dogs and rescues in general, and Vi in particular. I left her for the first time (anywhere the in the five months I've had her) overnight at CBW last night. I was nervous, but she did great. I loved that I could open the app, and see her in real time. I checked on her several times. I even saw her high maintenance self being held by one of the staff! (She's used to that at home!) She stayed at CBW today while I worked and did great, too. She was happy and tired from playing so much when I picked her up. They told me she did great, and commented on her "personality", which again impressed me how knowledgeable and intuitive and caring they are about dogs. We will be going back to CBW soon. I'm excited to see the chain has a location in the Houston area where I have family to visit. I highly recommend CBW and Vi does too. Two thumbs and four paws read more

I'll be moving from Dallas to Raleigh soon and the saddest part for me and my dog is leaving CBW. My dog has been going there for 2yrs and I couldn't imagine taking him anywhere else. My dog is 45lbs and is about 2.5yrs old. He has A LOT of energy. Which is exactly why I take him here, it's a day care for him to play all day. It wears him out, the staff is attentive, friendly, and understands that dogs will be dogs. I use to watch the cameras like a hawk, but I know my dog is in good hands so I rarely look at them. This is a great place for people who travel a lot for work, and also a great place if you're busy and want to give your pup some play time. Also they don't discriminate against dog breeds! If I could rate this crappy daycare a ZERO I definitely would. On the first day that I took my dog he came home with bleeding scratches on his belly. Let me also include that I was watching most of the time and their employees weren't paying attention to the dogs at all. I guess they get paid for staring at the wall. I called them and let them know why weren't they doing anything. Anna re assured me that they are so sorry and don't know why that happened. So I took him a second day since I felt convinced that they were going to keep a close eye, and my dog came home again with more horrible bleeding scratches and to top it off his left bottom eyelid was scratched. This is absolutely the only place my dogs will run into when they know they are going for boarding. I have tried all types of places around the metroplex and I was so excited when this location opened. It's been opened for a few years so I'm totally late in writing my review. I have a 45 lbs blue heeler/border Collie mix and a 11 lbs Cairn Terrier. My mix is extremely sensitive to people and hates me traveling. When I would drop him off at other places he would try to dig his claws into the ground and try not to go in. Here he runs in. I also love they have cameras for each area so I check in on my dogs frequently. They have a play area by weight so small, medium and big dogs. I like this a lot because my little dog gets scared and aggressive by the big dogs. I love the cameras because I can check on both dogs and see them happy when I'm worried. They also serve them the food their if you forget yours. I also have a really easy time scheduling boarding, even when I have to book last minute trips. They are really flexible and work well with your schedule. Once my flight was late and I was really wanting to pick up my dogs that night. They stayed late to let me get them and I really thought that was awesome, it made my day. If you are looking for boarding for your dogs definitely check this place out! read more

My dog has a torn ACL on her right side. I explained her entire situation and they understood that she couldn't jump or play hard. When I brought her home and took her for a short walk she was unable to put her left leg down. She now has another ACL tear. Not only that but she also developed kennel cough. When I called camp bow wow they said after talking to the counselors, she wasn't limping while she was at camp. Then, the employee said, you know if she has an injury on the one side she is more likely to injure the other side. I would agree with that. She has had the right side injury for more than a year and has had no problems with the left side. After staying there she has now 2 bad knees. The employee also stated regarding the kennel cough, no dogs are coughing here. Really? My dog has never had it and coincidently she leaves their kennel and developed kennel cough. How? Lots of coincidences. I guess my disappointment is the lack of professionalism. They can say anything. I wasn't there. read more

I have always been reluctant to leave my dogs at a boarding facility. My first experience elsewhere was not the best and playtime may have been once or twice a day for only a short time. So, I tried out Camp Bow Wow and was much happier! Almost every time I check the Camper Cam, the dogs are out playing, with supervision. Everyone here is so friendly and they always remember, and love, our dogs. The puppies are always happy to go, and come back happy as well. We just recently boarded our two dogs for four days at camp Bow Wow and we were thoroughly impressed! The staff is friendly caring and knowledgeable. We watch them on camera several times a day and saw them petting the dogs and giving them treats. We felt like our babies were treated like royalty. The prices are reasonable and we love being able to log onto the WebCams. They let the dogs play together for nine hours a day so they are not locked in cages all day long. Our puppy did get a minor illness while he was there and they called us and took him to the vet got him seen by the vet, received medicine and brought him back and today he is fine. I feel like they went over and above. We will definitely use them again!! read more

I always used to feel guilty boarding my dog when I travel on the weekends... but that all changed when I started taking my dog to Camp Bow Wow for boarding. I know she has a blast and gets more than enough exercise here during doggy day play. I also love that you can use the app to see the live video of your dog playing and running around. I'm so happy that we found Steve and Camp Bow Wow as i can't imagine taking Turbo anywhere else! As a large breed dog Turbo has tons of energy that dog parks and long walks just cant expunge. Insert Camp Bow Wow. Not only does he get to play all day but he gets the socialization that every dog needs. They also have outdoor areas so the dogs don't have to get confused by being forced to go #1 and #2 inside. This is something that I find to be incredibly important as I don't want Turbo getting the idea that it's ok to "go" inside. If you are looking for a safe place to drop off your poochie I can't recommend Steve and Camp Bow Wow enough. Great people. Great place. Best doggie day care in the history of ever. read more

We started leaving our two girls with Camp Bow Wow when they were very young. The care our puppies got was outstanding! I feel very comfortable leaving them with Steve and his staff. I always have them bathed before we pick them up and I can't tell you how wonderful they smell and how silky their coats are. My puppies are so excited to go to Camp Bow Wow and now know when we pull up out front that they are going to "camp". It seems silly but we actually drive an hour to leave our pups at Camp Bow Wow. We thought about trying other kennels but I know they are happy there and they love my puppies like we do! We can't ask for any better care. It's worth the drive! Now if Steve would only open a Camp Bow Wow in Fort Worth! I'm working on him. read more
