Haley, the manager, is fantastic -- professional, responsive, and clearly passionate about dogs. One of the biggest things that sets CityDog apart is the peace of mind they give me. There's staff on-site 24/7, which is a rare and wonderful thing to find in a daycare and boarding facility. The facility is always spotless, which is impressive considering how many pups come through each day. The turf potty area is clean and convenient, and it's clear they've thought of everything when it comes to safety and hygiene. Yes, it's an indoor-only play space -- but honestly, I see that as a positive. It's a well-maintained and secure environment where I never have to worry about Lola being too hot, cold, or exposed to outdoor hazards. It's not the cheapest daycare in town, but their packages make it very reasonable -- and honestly, you can't put a price on your dog's safety, happiness, and tail-wagging joy. Why I love this place - 1. Appointments are scheduled so that your dog is worked on during the timeframe he or she is scheduled for. They begin working on them at the start of the appointment time and as soon as they are finished you receive a text saying your dog is ready. At every other place I've been to you have to drop your dog off either in the AM or afternoon and they are there for 4+ hours probably in a kennel and who knows if they dry the dog immediately after bathing, or if they are sitting there wet in a kennel until it's their turn to be dried. I think the way citydog does it makes the bathing experience a lot easier on the dog. 2. You can schedule online with the specific groomer you prefer (we love Karissa!) 3. The grooming area is viewable from a huge window on the street so anyone walking by can watch the dog being groomed. The transparency makes me confident they will always treat my dog well. 4. They do a great job grooming and I love the "best in show" add on where they get a blueberry facial (helps remove tear stains), paw balm, & teeth brushing. 5. Each grooming is followed with a report card viewable online with pictures of the dog mid-bath and post groom. The post groom pics are really cute. But what's especially nice about the report card is the groomer gives you a status on the dogs coat (ex. Skin was dry), behavior, nails, ears, gland express (ex. Normal or full), if they saw any fleas, and any other pertinent information on the groom. Overall, I absolutely love this place and can't go anywhere else. read more

We would like to thank the entire staff, especially Maggie and Kim, for taking care of our chow chow for the past 7 years. During that time we've lived in Addison, Allen, Frisco, and now Plano and CityDog is the only place we trust for our daycare visits and vacation boardings. The driving distance never mattered. Kim has been especially attentive and loving to our dog and the two have developed a tight bond over the years. And this quality is particularly difficult to develop with chow chows, who tend not to trust people outside the immediate family. Lulu is not food motivated so feeding time can be a battle of willpower, which I tend to lose. But Kim has found a way to make sure Lulu eats during the days we aren't there. This brings us great peace while we are away. Long gone are the days where we would call the office daily, like ridiculous helicopter parents, asking if Lulu had any issues eating. Now it's like, "Meh, Lulu will eat. Not even worried." We hope CityDog will continue to retain such excellent staff as we all know that longevity is what maintains customer loyalty. Dogs and people need time to develop strong bonds, and this is what keeps the business strong. No eye contact. Just leaves me waiting. I then showed the girl at the desk the text confirmation but she want not interested. Finally she tells me their groomer had an accident this past weekend. Asked why I was not advised but she said she can't find my scheduled appointment and had 0 interest in the confirmation text they sent. We have been using CityDog! Club for years and wanted to brag on CityDog! Club in Addison. Currently, I have a three year old Doberman, Franklin, who is both energetic and has multiple health issues (IBD, kidney disease, skin issues, and a crummy immune system - he looks fine from the outside, but he is on medication and very specialized diet). Franklin has been to daycare and boarding numerous times at the Club, and he loves it there. I cease to exist when we get to the door, as Franklin loves the humans there and also his dog buddies. He is never hesitant to go play or stay. As Franklin is on a very special diet with medication, it is imperative that he eats and gets his medication. To that end, CityDog knows this information and Franklin has never missed a meal, a medication, or had issues of not getting his prescribed diet. Franklin can be a stubborn adolescent Doberman who thinks he is perfect, and he is a jaw clacker. This makes noise, but is not a danger to any dog or human. Franklin is a joyful dog, but he can be very active, too. Franklin has thrived under the care of Addison CityDog. I am one of those owners that is completely overbearing, meticulous, and often a bit ridiculous regarding my dogs. I receive numerous updates from the team. Basically, I do not worry. At no time is Franklin distressed or upset at CityDog. He loves his baths with Karissa, his walks with team members, and all aspects of play. In the 20 years I have been a "dog mom," I have paid for several dog sitters, dog nannies, boarding facilities, and veterinary services. All of my dogs have had health issues. I can wholeheartedly state with great confidence that I will not board anywhere else, or use any other day care facility, other than CityDog Club in Addison. Under Maggie and Chelsea's leadership, this Addison location continues to thrive. Kim is an absolute saint. The handlers are amazing, patient, and kind to each dog. Without CityDog Club, I would be in a constant state of panic and worry about Franklin. I always know where Franklin is. I watch him on video more than I should, and every employee has been absolutely stellar with him. Franklin gets tons of love and attention, but the humans at CityDog do not let him get away with shenanigans or bad behavior. They reinforce everything they should without being punitive. I have watched at all times of the day, and Franklin is learning social graces, how to function in a pack, and how to interact with humans. Previously, I had two Dobermans that played and boarded at CityDog. Both had health issues, and both had cancer at different times. My previous boy, Pete, underwent amputation for osteosarcoma. He continued to visit CityDog when he felt well enough, and that made it possible for me to work to pay for his care. Also, Pete was never alone or in danger at any time at CityDog. Although we lost him too soon to cancer complications, CityDog Club made his last months on earth good months, filled with love and kindness. They did the same thing for my girl, Twist, who also had cancer. Twist was a therapy dog, and loved going to CityDog Club. She was able to be a dog instead of a sick cancer dog, and she had fun until the day she died. I realize that some people may shudder at the cost of boarding or daycare, but I am willing to pay for good service. The Addison club offers phenomenal service every single day. Other places should take a page from their book. The standards are kept high, and I know that it will remain that way. CityDog! Addison is simply the best place in the area for any dog. read more

We take our dog here for grooming and boarding. She is a very shy dog and still learning to be comfortable around other dogs. The other large dogs at CityDog are friendly enough but leave her alone if she doesn't want to play. The handlers/humans are great with all the dogs - they have a good "alpha" presence as they move throughout the facility and don't let the dogs take over. During meal times they feed dogs individually which is nice- you can bring your own meals or let them serve Orijen. What sold me on CityDog was: very clean facility, extremely friendly and responsive staff (they answer their e-mail!), and webcams in their facility. I'm also grateful for the extended hours the business offers versus other similar businesses - they open at 7am and close at 9pm which gives me plenty of flexibility in drop off / pick up around work schedules. Plus - they are open even on Sunday! We've had excellent luck with grooming services as well. For our dog, we particularly like the paw & foot treatment which just cleans up her paws and gives her a nail trim. When she gets a bath, she always comes back looking, feeling, and smelling extra-clean, which is a huge improvement over our sad bath attempts at home. The staff does seem to really care about my dog, always reporting back about how she did during the stay. Things I don't like as much? The webcam quality is TERRIBLE. We can't always tell if the black pixelated blob on the tiny screen is our pup or a different one. You can buy a high-quality HD camera off of amazon for ~$60. This webcam reminds me of the first webcam I ever owned. In addition - you can't see the webcam on a mobile device unless you pay for a monthly subscription. Also - they charge extra to take dogs on actual walks. I haven't left my dog for an extended period of time yet, but I'm kind of bothered by the idea that she'll never step foot outside for several days. And yeah - all their services are a little pricey. But we're OK to pay for quality. Overall, there are some areas we'd like to see improvement or changes, but I don't see us moving our business anywhere else anytime soon. read more

Took my pup for a meet and greet and a bath. He is an older dachshund and usually has anxiety at the groomers in the past. Although he was nervous at first they immediately made him feel extremely comfortable. This is the first time I've picked him up where he wasn't still shaking. The team did such a good job taking care of my sweet baby. It was her first time at boarding / without me and she appeared very overwhelmed by all the big dogs (even though she is a big dog that loves to play with big dogs). I called the team and they assured me that they had already planned to put her into a room with a couple other dogs that were also a little overwhelmed. I was able to watch on the cameras and call whenever i needed to ask about how she was doing. At one point I couldn't see her on the cameras and after an hour i called to ask where she was and they shared she had become an "office puppy". the team noticed she felt the most comfortable with them and let her spend the rest of her stay up there with them napping and eating as she pleased.
