I would HIGHLY discourage anyone from purchasing a boarding package from this establishment. They have unethical business practices and poorly trained staff. I purchased a package and had 3 remaining nights when my dog unfortunately passed away, resulting in the fact that I would be unable to use my remaining nights. They refused to give me the full amount of the remaining balance even though their employee informed me that they would. If their practice is different than issuing a full refund for remaining nights then they should ensure their staff is aware of this furthermore they should also honor what their staff told their customers (as supposedly their calls are recorded and they should be able to confirm this information). If we get a dog in the future we will not be returning here. In general, I would also say their staff lacks the training to do simple things like making a boarding reservation as we have multiple issues with this in the past. read more

Molly was absolutely awesome and seemed genuinely excited to see Rowdy for his first stay which occurred a couple of days after his initial orientation. I liked having my dogs at Camp Bow Wow . The problem began at a dog park. My dog was rear ended in a game of chase and snapped at another dog. The other dog was injured and had to be stitched up. The dogs owner Claire is the dog trainer at Camp Bow Wow . She looked me up on the camp's computer then had the owner call me to settle our dispute. She had him ban me from the Duluth branch. I feel that my privacy was invaded and that the owner should not have been involved since this did not involve Camp Bow Woe. Very unprofessional . I'm not sure I can trust these people with my figs. We absolutely love camp bow wow. I recently had a baby and getting our dog into the camp and juggling the baby is tough so the employees are always ready to help me by coming out and getting Murph for me. Sometimes Murph has a little anxiety about going inside and leaving me and the baby alone (he's a little protective) but the employees are very patient getting him in the door. Once he's in, he loves it. He gets exercise and socialization and comes home calm and tired. I watch him on the live feed camper cams from time to time and he's always playing and being supervised by the employees. I wish there was a location that was closer to us but we love the employees at Duluth so it's worth it. read more

We were loyal customers for 5 years but over time, this facility has gone downhill. Over Thanksgiving this year, they had more than 130 dogs boarding. We noticed on the web cams that the dogs were ignored until a fight broke out. This happens all day. Our usually sweet and relaxed dog got into several fights that week. He has never fought with other dogs before. There was no explanation of the circumstances, just blaming our dog. When we went to pick him up, we had to ask for his food container and toys, which took them several trips to get. Why is that a difficult request? We noticed that hardly any of his food was missing from the container. Had they not been feeding him? They had no explanation. They said the manager would be calling to talk to us about our dog's behavior. They never called. I called and asked to speak to the manager and I never got a call back. The staff doesn't seem to know how to answer even the simplest questions. Also, we quit having our dogs bathed there a long time ago because they don't adhere to an appointment time. The groomer bathes your dog when it's convenient for her, and then sends your dog back into the pack, just to get dirty again, despite your requests. We are changing our Christmas travel plans now because we won't send our dog back there. read more

I cannot possibly say enough good things about CBW Duluth. What initially drew me to their facility was that everything is included in one rate. I used to work at a pet resort near Lake Oconee and everything outside of the right to stay overnight and 3 bathroom breaks (alone) per day was charged a la carte. Want your dog to play with others? $10 per session. Want your dog to go outside an extra time (alone)? $7 per time. Want your dog to take a jump in the pool? $10. I hated that. I appreciate so much that my dog gets to play ALL day with other dogs AND humans! What kept me coming back (aside from how happy my dog was!) was the staff. My family is located in New England so I frequently need to board my dog and head to the airport. For a few years, I lived two hours from Atlanta and catching a flight with that kind of distance AND having to drop the dog off was quite the task. One time I got stuck in awful traffic and CBW closing time was drawing near. I frantically called and told the staff what was happening and they continued to assure me they'd wait for me. I ended up being about half an hour late, but they were still there smiling and happy to have my baby for the week. My dog is ALWAYS wiped out when he comes home and I know he has a great time and is very well taken care of with Camp Bow Wow. I highly recommend them! read more

Though I wish Camp Bow Wow were sitting on a couple acres of land for the dogs to run more, nevertheless it is absolutely a great place I can trust to take my dog for safe and fun daycare during the days and a trusted place for him to board also. I am very grateful to Camp Bow Wow & the camp counselors for always being helpful, acting awesome toward my dog and having great attitudes. It seems good business that the owner/manager, Jeff, is on-site and greets clients with a 'hello' and is often working right along side the staff helping with phones and computer assistance. I have recommended Camp Bow Wow to friends and neighbors but they don't all feel as I do that it is good for their dogs to be socialized in a pack setting. I'll keep trying. Camp Bow Wow is a pup's paradise! Mine gets SO excited every time we pull up - he can't wait to get inside. I love the Camper Cams - you can peek in & watch them play whenever you'd like. The Counselors are amazing - it's very evident that they love what they do, and they love the dogs. Behavior Buddies is great for training needs, Claire worked with my pup on leash walking, and I've seen fantastic results. My hounds love going to Camp Bow Wow Duluth. They are eager when we go in the doors and calmly go with the attendants. The staff are friendly and helpful in every way to me. When my dogs come home after boarding they are relaxed, in good health and do not seem stressed in any way. That is so important for me. If you care about you dog stay away! We left our dog for 5 night boarding stay. Everything were fine till day 3 that we could not see her on any of the cameras entire day, we call them next day after still we couldn't see her and they told us that she is stressed and they give her extra time out (No explanation about day before) and of course after a few minutes she appears in Cameras! Long story short, the day that we went to pick her up they told us "they just notice" scratch on her muzzle and they think is happen because she was putting her nose through fence. When they brought her to us, 1) that wasn't scratch, it was wound size of Dolor coin. 2) It wasn't new; it was at least couple of days old (which probably when they gave her timeout). 3) They did not treated the wound and it was getting infected. 4) Most importantly they FAIL to notify us. My main issue with this place is the way they handle the incident not why it happens. Also, we sent Email with the picture to owner of place and NOTHING (no response, no explanation, and no reply). read more

Also, that they can stay after the interview to make sure it is a good fit for both the dog and your center. Very friendly staff. One price covers everything, not a million add on fees. Our dog went to Camp Wow for 3 years for DAYCARE AND BOARDING . For daycare is good enough, you can check your dog on the cameras and the hours are good but I gave one star because Boarding was always an issue, Management was very poor, medications errors and food not given. Unfortunatelly dogs dont talk. For many years a was talking to Jeff directly the owner (who was always very understanding) Our last incident was last winter, with the new Manager, who I complained that an staff member was abusing a dog for no reason. He was running behind a dog with water hose (cold water in winter time). My dog was also scare of that person and she loves everybody. Long story short the manager review the cameras and called to said that she was written the staff member up for being " to hard on the dogs" and he was going to quit, but she also asked me in a very polite way not to take my dog anymore that it was the best for me and my dog. (I believe that is true) My dog was negleted,no feeding properly, exposed to a bad employee and you tell me not to go there anymore that my dog is very dIfficult to control. I have recently had the pleasure of taking my dog, Elvis, to Camp Bow Wow in Duluth. The staff was exceptionally courteous, so I was impressed immediately. The professionalism of the staff put me at ease since I was a little apprehensive with this being my first visit. Elvis had a fabulous time! I was appreciative that all the details about the whole "first time experience" had been laid out to me in a very detailed manner. We have been back several times now and have made the camp a regular part of our weekly schedule. Now, I look at Elvis and say "Camp Bow Wow???" and he tilts his head and then goes nuts with excitement. I cant put into words how happy that makes me. Camp Bow Wow was the answer to our problem. At the age of 9 our dog, Milo, decided he didn't want to be confined when the cleaning lady came and had become a little destructive. After driving by Camp Bow Wow several times we decided to give them a try. We knew from the first day Milo was very happy with his day at camp. The process along with the staff are impressive and we love being able to check in and watch the cameras online or using mobile. In addition we've used Camp Bow Wow for boarding and the Sunday hours are helpful when you're anxious to see your pet. I would highly recommend them. read more

My wife and I travel to the Duluth area several times a year. We always use Bow Wow day care for our dogs. They have been in daycare at Bow Wow as long as two weeks to as little as three days. Our dogs always know where they are going when told we are going to Doggy School. They get so excited and can't wait to arrive and greet the dog care staff. They even find old dog friends from the past to play with during the day. Without any question this is very best day care establishment we have ever used. I have used Bow Wow (Duluth) and was always pleased. That is no longer true. A recent 9 day boarding changed that. My dog was returned to me with open, untreated wounds. The next day she showed symptoms of a bacterial infection that needed Vet attention. Additionally, they failed to follow the written feeding instructions I supplied. When I informed the owner, Jeff, he apologized and requested the Vet bill, which I FAXed. His response was in the form of emailing me a copy of their legal disclaimers. They state that (my words) Bow Wow is NOT responsible for any injuries or even death of your dog. He declined reinbursement. I never requested a refund ($380), as my dog was boarded. I did expect him to do the right thing. He didn't. I no longer believe my dog would be safe and cared for at this location. read more

I am a foster mother to dogs. Every dog I've cared for has attended the stay and play, usually on Fridays. They have been friendly and get to know the dogs. I wanted to write this review to praise the staff for closely observing my current foster dog Buddy. Upon pick up today, they notified me that he may have a urinary tract infection due to his behavior in the play pen. I left and rushed him directly to the vet who confirmed the diagnosis. Went to take my dog here for boarding while I went on vacation. I like the fact that they screen dogs before they are allowed to stay but was really over the top. Thought the place was nice so I scheduled an interview for my dog so he could stay there, was not told that he needed a break away leash for assessment so they prompted me to buy one. Secondly they looked at my paperwork and said ohhh he can not be interviewed because his shot was a month overdue although he was getting it the next day before he even stayed. So they sent me out of the door with a 30 minute wasted trip. I called back and asked if I got the shot that day could they do the interview the same day or the next... The girl said next Saturday the day they knew I would be out of town. Long story short it is a whole bunch of teenage girls working in the camp and a lazy boss in the side room. Took my business elsewhere and ended up being nicer and cheaper. Glad they said no and I saved money. This place will not be receiving a reference for my many fellow dog owners. read more

I just love Camp Bow Wow. They take such great care of my dog and are like family to us. They offer so many services to fit our needs and they are reasonable in price. The only complaint I have is that their customer service could use some improvement. Most messages left don't always make it to the right person and don't get added to their system. I love that my dogs get to go here and have a good time but the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. The owner is completely unreasonable and rude. I spent about $700 between two dogs in one month and the owner/manager was unwilling to credit me back when a new associate told me I could split 10 full days into half days. After work, I promptly went to pick my dogs up within the five hour window that constitutes a "half day." Upon arrival, I was told I owed $81 because my $400 package is only for whole days. Instead of taking into account the fact that I spent $700 in the last few weeks at his establishment, the owner told his associate there is nothing that can be done because QUOTE "it's too much work." Absolutely disgusting behavior from a local business operator. Definitely love the camp but his management style is enough for me to take my business elsewhere. read more
