We went to a couple of places, one even where you can watch on an app that was closer to us, but when we went to visit the place, we did not like the "vibe" of the place. When we took a tour (just call, and they will let you take a look at the facility before hand) of Paws Landing, we immediately felt great! We had our puppy for an half day "evaluation" with Durenda, which also made us feel at ease. She is marvelous!!! When we picked her up from that, she went over everything she did, and how she thought our puppy would do. They had her in a small yard first and let our puppy feel safe before they had her with the other dogs. I really like too, how they have the dogs separated into "small dogs", " large dogs" and "very active dogs". She has a great team working with her, watching over them, and most importantly taking care of them all day. They will always send you a text and email to confirm your reservation, which is great. They go inside and outside to play all day. If they go "all day" they will get a 2-hour rest, so they get a break from all the fun! But, believe me, when you pick your dog, they will be tired when they get home, which is "good thing"! Pam will send you pictures later via text of your dog, which is great to see at the end of the day. Now, that my dog has gone for awhile, she gets excited when we get there, and she is excited to see Pam and her team when I drop her off. Look no further for a great place for "doggy day care", Pam and her team will take VERY GOOD care of them, like they were one of their own!!!

The facility is spotlessly clean, which gives me total peace of mind when leaving my pet there. It's also in a super convenient location off US-183, easy to get to from Leander and surrounding areas. What really sets them apart is the 24-hour staffing--they provide round-the-clock care for boarded animals, so I never have to worry about my dog being alone overnight. We've used them for both daycare and overnight boarding multiple times, and it's been a fantastic experience every single time. I highly recommend Paws Landing for anyone looking for reliable, loving care for their furry family members!

This isn't just gross; it's dangerous. Secondhand smoke isn't only harmful to humans, it's been proven to cause serious health issues in dogs, including respiratory problems, allergies, and even cancer over time. The fact that the employees think this is acceptable shows a complete lack of professionalism, common sense, and basic compassion for the animals in their care. If they're this careless about something as obvious as keeping toxic smoke away from dogs, what corners are they cutting when no one is watching? I would never risk leaving my dog here. There are far better facilities that actually prioritize the health, safety, and comfort of the pets they're paid to protect. This place is a hard NO for any responsible pet owner.

Enter Hounds Town. Yesterday was our first day: my boy got a full day of daycare, where he was able to socialize and play with six other dogs around his size. He also got a bath (with a blow-dry and the cutest branded bandana ever, which is perfect for my obsessive dog-mom scrapbook). While I did qualify for their lovely first-visit-free promo this time around, even if I hadn't the price for both of those would have STILL been cheaper than what I usually pay for just his bath. Overall, prices are extremely reasonable and competitive with other animal care facilities in the greater Austin area, but honestly I've tried quite a few places and it just feels like you get *more* at Hounds Town. The staff clearly love animals, and their jobs. Everyone is so friendly. I really can't understate the amazing impression I've gotten of this establishment, just from the first day! My boy came back to me relaxed and happy, with no signs of stress or anxiety. They've definitely earned a regular customer in us.

I believe Liberty Hill has changed their policy to at least give OPTIONS to the pet owner. I'm sure that if needed them on a weekend, I would bring a pet there for some minor treatment. If not for Liberty Hills recommendation to take Brady Grace to Crystal Falls in Leader, I believe she would have crossed that rainbow bridge.

He starts making these deep throaty growls that make him seem more like a "feral hog" than a pug. It's scary sometimes the sounds he makes. It took three trips to this venue to finally get him acclimated to the team. Dr. McJett and her team is so patient and supportive of our little maniac. She has recommended so many helpful tips to help us. Our Max had an ear infection and he would not put us treat him at home. After several attempts, Dr. McJett was able to pack it and allow the healing to begin. At least to a point where we could start home treatment. Other local vets were unsuccessful. I Love the fact that they will always give you a price estimate upfront, before they start the service. No surprises. No "Invoice Shock". Just honest upfront cost reports. They informed us that he was too timid and did not make the cut as you may say. Even though they offer Training for situations like this, they did not offer it to us. In an unfortunate misunderstanding between my wife and I we put a stop payment on the recent payment that had been pulled for the first dog due to the plan to pull her from the location. We corrected the situation so that we could go through the process of having the one go back, and we were gonna get training for the other one that is dealing with being timid. We were told that the owners would have to approve either one of the dogs being there because of the stop payment, even though we had taken care of everything from the very beginning. All payments have been made on time despite that issue. When they finally got back with us, they told us that they could not take the dogs anymore because of what it happened. Obviously the owners do not believe in grace or forgiveness from what we can see. My review reflects the fact that while it is a nice facility and the workers do a great job with the dogs, from our experience, the ownership needs some prayer. So in response to Jana and what she posted. To say that payment was made later is very misleading. Payment was actually made on the same day that the issue took place. You make it seem as if it happened up to a week or more later. That is untrue and I do not appreciate it being posted as if that was the case. When we came in to pick the dogs up that afternoon, we informed the front desk person Aaron what had gone on and said we wanted to make sure that we still took care of any bills that were due and I immediately put it on another card just so that that payment was taken immediately, so please rephrase your statement unless you choose to mislead people in what really happened.

Be aware before booking here…read more The communication is extremely poor -- calls go unanswered, and it's nearly impossible to get a clear response from anyone. The staff is not only unhelpful but also comes across as impolite and dismissive when you do manage to reach them. What's even more concerning is the lack of management. No one seems to be in control or able to handle basic customer service situations professionally. I've taken all three of my pets here and spent over $6,000 in just three months, so this isn't coming from a one-time visit. Despite that, the only thing I was told when trying to resolve the situation was that the staff member is "commission-based" and wouldn't get paid -- as if that should be my responsibility. This is especially frustrating considering my pet had just undergone surgery at this same location and was not even allowed to have a bath. I canceled the appointment within 24 hours for that reason, yet they still attempted to charge me. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Poor communication, lack of professionalism, and zero accountability. I would not trust them with my pets or my time.

I also can't say enough good things about Victoria--she is absolutely fantastic. Her doodle grooms are top-notch, and she's honestly the only reason I've continued bringing my two dogs here. That said, I've been increasingly disappointed with the resort side of things. I have one dog who requires sedation for grooming, and during a past visit, he also received his 3-year rabies vaccine. I was charged a $45 "exam" fee at that time, which was explained as necessary for vaccine approval but would not be charged next time. That made sense, so I didn't question it. However, during today's visit--six months later, for just a sedation groom--I was charged that same $45 exam fee again. When I asked why, I was told, "I don't know who told you that you wouldn't be charged, but it has to be done for every visit." It's not so much the money that bothers me--it's the inconsistency in communication and the feeling that policies change without any clarity. With recent price increases, it now costs over $250 plus tip just to have my 9-pound dog shaved (this isn't even a fancy cut). It's frustrating and disheartening. For transparency, this review is specifically for the resort side. I've also had separate concerns with the veterinary side--most notably, poor communication around vaccine reminders and the fact that I was once sold expired Heartworm prevention, which I didn't catch until much later. I want to keep supporting a local business, especially one where there are still great people like Victoria--but the overall experience has become really discouraging.

They gave me updates and I appreciated the postcards/Facebook posts about many cat's well being. When I went to pick him up, I was impressed by how clean the place was, considering how my cats and finches were present. My cat's room was very clean, with a big window, the jungle gym setup, and a loft bed. The kitty litter had added fiber pellets, which I hope he liked since he hates sawdust litter. They gave me back everything that I left at dropoff, plus a toy. My cat was very calm, coming by his own free-will to greet the handler. It is a "two-shot" process, so we brought her in her in for her first initial shot and we could tell her demeanor was great! She did have her tail down, but not "between her legs" like the other place. They were so nice to her, and we were in and out quickly.
