My dog, Madden, absolutely LOVES going here. Every time we get in the car, he starts whining and crying in excitement because he knows he's headed to "camp" where he gets to play with other dogs and enjoy tons of fun activities. The staff at Camp Bow Wow are amazing--always friendly, caring, and attentive to the dogs' needs. The facilities are spacious, clean, and well-organized, so I never worry about my dog's safety or comfort. There are plenty of play areas, and the dogs are divided into groups based on size. Madden comes home exhausted but happy, and it's clear he enjoys every minute he spends there. Plus, I love the peace of mind knowing he's in good hands. Our dogs love Camp Bow Wow! We have two corgis that are rambunctious in their own ways, but both enjoy day camp and overnight camp so much. The grooming is also fantastic - reasonable pricing, very flexible and easy timing if the dogs will already be there, and the groomer is so nice and good at her job. Front desk staff is very discourteous, and disrespectful. They put my dog into a waiting room for an hour, while I could see them anxiously jumping at the door. On another occasion - Evelyn (office manager), talked very harshly and asked if the vaccination records were updated. After some convincing she called the vet, and then got into another argument on whether I wanted to keep the dog for a full day at 1 PM CT :) . I think better training, more updated system processes, and customer centricity is needed. The facility is okay for a small stay, but don't trust these folks to be reliable for long stays.. (if they cannot logically put things together, correspond to vets, and have young/untrained kids, they will largely cut corners.) Hope they read and change their behavior read more

My dog Sugar is so excited when we arrive. The staff is wonderful and she pulls me to them. She is so happy to see her friends ( including the fantastic staff!) I can see on the camera's what she is doing, which is great. I just had her groomed at camp which was very convenient, and she looked great when I picked her up! She boarded there and when I was stuck for two extra days in NY. they offered to have someone bring food from their house that my dog could tolerate due to allergies. read more

After waiting patiently to see if an apology would be forthcoming, I must express my disappointment with the recent experience at this establishment. I brought my year-old chihuahua puppy who has been socialized for an evaluation, understanding his natural apprehension in new environments and people. However, within 20 minutes, I received an abrupt call informing me to collect him immediately due to his fearfulness. Upon arrival, I discovered he had been sequestered in a suite, with no attempt made to integrate him with other dogs. The lack of communication and empathy from the staff, compounded by their evident impatience, left me disheartened as I surmise Oliver felt it as well. It's unfortunate that the criteria for acceptance seemed to prioritize immediate perfection over understanding and patience, particularly for a young and anxious pup. Regrettably, I cannot recommend their services based on this experience. UPDATE - I just received a call from a woman identifying herself as the owner and I can only say her staff's behavior reflects leadership. I wasn't expecting a call from there so was in a good mood when I picked up. Sadly, she's just as apathetic as her staff which even shocked my friend who gave the recommendation to go there and who was listening to you on speakerphone. I had hoped for a constructive dialogue regarding the issues at hand when she identified herself. However, I found it disheartening that instead of acknowledging the concerns raised, apologizing and have a constructive conversation, she made it very clear from the start that apparently everything has to be perfect for it to be "successful." I was also taken back by the manner in which she raised the issue of my well socialized puppy allegedly attempting to bite your staff by blurting out, "YOUR DOG TRIED TO BITE MY STAFF" only AFTER I noted there was no point to continuing the conversation if you were only going to see one side and was in the process of hanging up. So, again, he's a PUPPY. And that would be something you would lead with not blurt out after I didn't buy into your behavior. Additionally, I must clarify that my puppy is well-socialized, making such an assertion highly unlikely and a last ditch effort by you to justify your staff's unprofessional behavior. My puppy clung to me like he's never done before. What really happened in those 20 minutes? Moreover, regardless of the alleged incident involving my puppy, the primary issue at hand remains the impatience and lack of professionalism displayed by your staff and yourself. As I mentioned during our conversation, a sincere apology and a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue from the beginning could have led to a more positive resolution. No effort was made by you to salvage a customer. You didn't offer to have me come back and observe him yourself. You didn't answer why they didn't get him around the other 3 little dogs to see if he calmed down. You had two employees trap him in a small area, with one never saying a word; drag him back to a suite and leave him there all under 20 minutes until I picked him up in within 10 minutes of being called. Then your staff shoved his toy and bedding at me while opening the gate at the same time as if I could grab everything and walked back without saying a word. Seems like they could have came out and pulled me to the side to discuss this alleged incident that took place. They didn't because it didn't happen. And as they opened the back door and he was passing the door, your staff member dragged him back to the door so don't tell me they don't "drag". Despite any attempts to discredit my experience or review, I stand by my account of the events and the feedback provided. My intention in sharing this feedback is to highlight areas for improvement within your establishment and to encourage a more positive experience for all customers in the future. I hope that this incident serves as an opportunity for reflection and improvement within your establishment. Maybe pray for a bigger throat to swallow your pride. Second UPDATE - Owner replies to review - story changes. Now, I never got off my phone. Now, I "didn't stay for the whole evaluation." Now, you were never allowed to speak. Now, my puppy tried to bite your staff "multiple times". I'm 63 and no longer capable of tolerating inaccuracies. 1) I did place my caller on hold & never picked up the call again until I left bcz I spoke with your staff and even monitored from the other side before your staff told me to come back in 3 hours. 2) You spoke too much & never asked leading questions. 3) Your story continues to grow. Next it'll be the employees were hospitalized. THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOU WERE NOT THERE, WERE YOU? NOR DID YOU TRY TO INSERT YOURSELF LIKE A RESPONSIBLE OWNER. read more

My dog Pearl absolutely loves coming here. We've had some not so great day care experiences in the past. One facility she refused to so much as get out of the car. However, when we arrive in the parking lot at Camp Bow Wow she can't wait to get inside and see her friends. I love that I can be a "helicopter mom" and observe her on the cameras throughout the day. Everything was great with this daycare for about 3 months. However, we just learned this is an entire money grab who likes to lie and mislead. Front desk, handlers, and management do not communicate. They tell you one thing and then the opposite later. Before we entered daycare, they advised they are professionals who have experience with high energy dogs and that turned out to not be the case. They later revealed they do online trainings and their handlers are young girls who are smaller than some of the dogs. They are not professionals. They'll tell you everything is great and fine- then later tell you there were issues with dog mannerisms, sometimes days or weeks later- even AFTER you ask how the day went. They do not communicate at all and I would never trust my dog around them again. read more
