We go to a lot of campgrounds similer to Camp Out (Woods, VT Freedom, Oak Hill Hideaway, Twin Ponds) to name a few. I thought the $40 PP membership was a bit high but I understand. I was taken aback at the size of the foot print and acrage here. Its HUGE and very hilly. Its very spread out. We came for one night to check it out and it was a Thursday so not much going on, which was expected. The pool was nice and clean, however closed early. There was little to no cell phone signal (AT&T or Verizon) or Wifi which needs to be addressed as it is a safety issue. The overall infrastructure is there but needs some work. There were many old seaonals that looked abandoned and run down and campers that needed to junked. THe store was nice and had a cool lounge area attached. The pavillion was also nice and close to where the bon fires are held. Our RV site was easy to pull into and hookup which was appreciated. The staff were friendly. I would come back but on a weekend to see more people and activities. read more

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Camp Out Poconos for Women Out Loud Weekend. We have fun many other weekends but this weekend was extra special, full of excellent entertainment, people, fun activities as well as a free wine and charcuterie party with an excellent live singer for all to enjoy. This place is more than just a campground. I don't know anywhere else you could go and get a jam packed exciting weekend like this with wonderful people and a staff that works round the clock to make this happen every weekend. read more

The best LGBTQ+ inclusive camping resort in the northeast. The most beautiful grounds and amenities, and incredible events. My favorite place ever! Honestly, I am just disappointed. This was my second year attending Women's weekend at CampOut. Last year was a blast, I built a family with the women that attended and even though it was a small group, it was amazing. This year was far from that.. In absolutely no discriminating way, it was women's weekend, and as expected due to last year, I thought I was going to enjoy a weekend getting to know more women in my community. I met some lovely men, however, being in a way over crowded pool, with naked men, who had no respect rubbing up against me and making me feel extremely uncomfortable is not how I expected to spend women's weekend. I felt forced out and unable to enjoy my weekend. Saturday night, my group decided to have a campfire after only shortly attending the event due to "Sexy Sapphic Saturday" being very little women and just not fun. We were welcomed by a skunk, okay, its nature, even that was expected but it cut our night short. At 3am, upon using the restroom, my toilet began to overflow. I got the numbers for grounds and called. CJ proceeded to tell me "Mike is going to come up." So like any other person would've thought, I stayed awake thinking he was coming up to fix it. NOPE. I texted and called him and Mike again with no response. I never went to bed and Mike never showed up. So now, not only did I not have a restroom since I had to personally shut the water off, I couldn't go outside due to the skunk now sitting on my porch. After waiting until sunrise, I began packing my stuff up so we could leave, and was approached by the head of security. He was amazing and was trying to help us and got ahold of Mike who finally came and fixed it. He also called Brian and explained the situation. But at this point, it didn't matter, we had a terrible experience. On my way home, Brian called me. Apologized that we didn't have a "great experience" and told me refunds are "very difficult" and offered me a free night(with exception dates) even though I made it clear we won't be returning. I don't even know if he was explained the whole situation, which I now doubt. But after the fact, I also found out who Mike was and his relation to someone who has had issues with the group I am a part of and who knows, maybe he decided that I wasn't worth getting out of bed for. I did not expect someone to be able to come in the middle of the night, but had they been honest, I would've at least gotten some sleep! On top of it all, we each had to pay a $45 membership fee, that was not advertised to us WHATSOEVER on top of the near $800 we paid for a "premium cabin" for 2 nights. I will NEVER return to CampOut. read more

We've had a really great experience working with Camp OUT Poconos for WLW events. The communication and collaboration have always been smooth, and our guests had a great time. There's always a ton going on throughout the weekend with activities and entertainment, so people definitely stay busy. The food truck on site was also a huge hit. Update: While I was a upset checking with a $40 surprise fee for each person, in just after a night the staff is super friendly and there are some pretty fun events. The staff was enough to restore my faith in humanity. This is more of a community than a basic camp. They really need to work on disclosing the fee and hopefully as they expand into "phase 3" there will be less gravel sites for tents. Original Booked a camp site and they surprised us with a $40 membership per person on checkin. $200 ($123 + 80 membership fee) for two nights for a camp site, nothing like an $80 surprise fee for two on checkin. Also they gave away the site we booked even though we arrived at 5pm and the site was all gravel. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and so are the campers! There's always something to do, the view from the pool is gorgeous, and most importantly I felt safe. I could walk around day or night by myself and I slept peacefully in my tent and I didn't worry once. My husband and I are beyond glad to have found Camp Out. We're not strangers to gay camping, but the community at Camp Out is second to none. We've met some of the nicest people during our time here. Guests are extremely friendly and welcoming. The care that the owners are taking to build an inclusive, fun, and diverse community is outstanding. The activities that are offered are awesome. Each time we come, camp has something new and different planned. It's impossible to be bored here. If you're looking to just relax, it's easy to do that too. They have a beautiful pool and jacuzzi which is a fun gathering place during the warm weather months. We've stayed in cabins, on tent sites and now have a seasonal trailer site. We've used basically all the facilities that the camp offers and we could not be happier with the accommodations. Management is constantly improving the campground itself, and are receptive to feedback. This is just the start of their second season open, but I'm excited to see what the future holds! read more

We were beyond happy to learn of CampOut in the Fall of 2021! From the first meeting with the owners and staff, it became clear this was a special place! Well, Summer 2022 did NOT disappoint! We had a blast meeting so many wonderful folks who have become great friends! The friendly atmosphere flows from the owners and management, to the workers and the fellow campers! CampOut offers some unique amenities such as the salt water pool, piano lounge and AC cooled dance areas! All of which provide excellent venues for entertainment and the "Theme Weekends" really get everyone together for fun times! With great views, great people and excellent amenities you will not be disappointed! As a bonus, CampOut is extremely close to great local restaurants and stores, which round out a Gay Poconos experience at CampOut! 2023 will be MAGiCAL! read more

What a great first season this campground had in 2022. The facilities are the best you will find in any campground. The den is air conditioned and set up can be used for karaoke, a piano lounge, and music video dance club depending on the evening. The larger mess hall mashes for a great performance space and dance club on some nights (also air conditioned), the Pavillion with Camp fire has been great for community effects outside including movies and dance parties as well! They really go above and beyond to create events that are fun for all. The bathrooms are the cleanest and most updated you will find in a campground. The outdoor showers are beyond anything you've seen before as each stall has its own personal water heater where you control the water temperature! Honestly, a dream. The pool is a heated saltwater pool, no gross film on the surface like you see at other public pools, and the people are always so so friendly and kind. My first visit we had forgotten cooking oil, and one of the seasonal members was kind enough to share. As for outside camp, this is so close to everything. Food store, beer distributor, liquor store, Walmart, bus to Manhattan, world class hiking, wineries, breweries, restaurants, all within a 10-15 drive from the front gate. Best of all, they are improving with each visit. They are open to criticism, and have instantly responded to concerns I had brought up and made instant corrections. You can tell that the friendly owners and staff have a passion for creating community, and that really permeates throughout the entire camp. You won't find a more kind seasonal community than this one at a gay camp I can tell you that! I can not wait to see what next season has to offer! Happy Camping! read more

Highly recommended! We have found our peaceful spot with glorious views and delightful amenities. We are meeting new friends with incredible personalities and having great conversations as we bask by the pool overlooking mountaintops! Wow! The staff is remarkably kind, friendly and accommodating. Every time we go, we are SIMPLY amazed at the upgrades and improvements the new owners are making every, single day. This place is where to be! As a gay couple, who love our rig, and we are so pleased to have found an adult campground with great diversity as well as great surroundings including the casino, designer Tanger Shopping Outlets, great little local restaurants and bars and, of course, Bushkill Falls, The Delaware Water Gap and so much more natural scenery. I wanted to review while my experience was still fresh in my mind. My experience was overall positive, Here are the pros and cons I saw after my 2 night stay: PROs: 1. Welcoming and friendly staff. 2. Clean. From the camp accommodations to the showers/restrooms, everything was clean, especially for a campground. 3. A REAL pool up to 6ft deep. 4. Campground staff went out of their way to make the stay entertaining. 5. Gated access and property is secluded enough to make you feel like you're "away". 6. Attendees are younger than I have seen other places. I saw mostly 25-50yo folks. CONs 1. No WiFi. I know we are camping but I would have stayed an entire week if there was WiFi. 2. Too big. Yes, there is such a thing. The sheer size of the facility and the high number of vacant campsites does not foster meeting new people. 3. I would not visit alone. Bring a partner or friends. Most folks visit and hang out in groups. While everyone is friendly, I found it much harder to mingle there. 4. Most tent camp pads are gravel (not grass). Planting your tent on gravel stinks if you're not prepared. The staff and facilities were great. Would I go back? Maybe but there is lot of room for improvement. read more

We booked a room for Labor Day weekend. We were reading the fine print about the mandatory $40 per person membership at check-in . I called and asked what perks as a member do we receive with this membership and there were non according to the phone rep . Bring your own sheets ( not mentioning the sizes we need for the cabin) they do Not sell alcoholic beverages on premises. No map on where cabins are that i saw on the website so i called and it was way on top of a hill . Our friends and I decided against it . The business is relatively new and needs to work out many kinks . Maybe next year .... read more
