This place is extremely unprofessional. Evicting my family over a review saying, "it's not what it once was." Well, it isn't. This place used to be great, now it's absolutely pathetic. The roads have pot holes all over them, everything is extremely outdated. The pool is usually green with algae. The bathrooms are disgusting. The children's park is extremely outdated, enjoy camping on rocks, and hills. My family did not sue when a tree came through our camper, and destroyed it. Something the campsite is supposed to handle.. yet my family repaired their camper, and continued to stay there. They were there almost every single weekend, no late payments, no issues. They were customers for years. It's pathetic that the owners act like children, and will legitimately ignore you. They act as if their place is a gift to anyone that stays there, and you should be considered lucky if you get to stay there. When in reality you should be considered lucky you did not need a tetanus shot after coming there. read more

Family owned and operated campground. NJ state gov't shutdown threw a monkey wrench into everyone's plans to spend 4th of July weekend out camping so we were nervous this campsite, which is located on PA/NJ border, would attract large crowds of campers from NJ. All worked out pretty well. We made reservations for a camp site in advance, arrived late in the evening right after the sunset and were greeted by a friendly staff at the campground. Our ranger showed us all available sites generously offering his tips and taking into account our considerations. There are bathrooms, hot showers, and even laundromat on-site. Perfect location, close to Delaware Water Gap. Definitely coming back. read more

We visited cranberry run campground this past weekend. We had a group of 6 people and 3 dogs in tents. The campground seemed well maintained and the views were beautiful. We had the overlook site and would definitely love to come back! We were close to the bathhouse, yet still felt like we were backwoods camping! Nice and secluded. :-) Bathrooms were clean and pretty standard for a campground. The firewood was $5 a bundle and they delivered it to our site for us when we called! We burned probably 6 bundles over the two nights which we thought was very reasonable! Overall, I would recommend and we look forward to coming back! read more

Great place to bring a big group of people (you can have up to 50 people at once) and camp out for a night. It's really close to camelback mountain so there are plenty if attractions near by if you have kids. Also, there are restrooms on premises so that definitely helps. Definitely recommend it, just make sure to bring some warm clothes because it can be pretty freezing here at night! read more

Really awesome place if your looking for actual camping. Linda the owner was super nice we basically had the place to ourselves so she let us go wherever we wanted. There's a nice pool but not much for children to do as far as activities and crap which is fine for me and my friends bc we just wanted to hang out and drink and cook. Clean bathrooms and nice views super close to town and the water gap. Roads aren't really paved which again I prefer as I wanted to camp and not stay in a 5 star RV with a television and full kitchen lol. Nobody bothered us and I have no complaints! read more

Stayed here weekend of 7/18/20 disappointed in how there is very little privacy at sites and they really pack them in. Our experience was not a good one as we were next to a very large (13 tents on two sites) inconsiderate party. Music, loud talking and yappy dogs barking until after 3:00 AM. Campground staff came by once at 11:15 PM and not again despite multiple complaints. Obviously there are people like this however, management could have handled it much better. read more

Had a little tough time finding the place but the location was great.. while you are in the woods, you know what to expect! The sites are clean and they have restroom facilities that are decent enough. The owners are pretty chilled out as long as you don't leave the place dirty! Overall a very good place I would say. We absolutely loved our experience here. We had never been camping and didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. Everyone from the owners to the campers were super friendly and helpful. The grounds were very well kept and had a volleyball net where we able to play some volleyball, a playground for the little ones and a swimming pool. There was also a really cool game room that was open all night. There were some old school games. Pinball and shuffle board and at 8 pm they held a Texas hold 'em tournament. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will return again next year. read more

I came from Rhode Island and went there with my second family, and the place its very nice, theres electricity and hot water, bathrooms where very clean. Only problem was the staffing since the begging they where on top of us, we arrive late night and they where already complaining for our lights, our voice ext..... we paid for 2 days and we didn't even got to stay 1 day there... staffing incredibly rude to us, very racist, blaming us for trash that we did not trow there and for "loud music" . They called the police and they didn't even gave us our money back! Worst experience EVER! read more

Our First Aid Squad decided to do a group camping trip. We had a hard time finding a place that was far enough away, but not too far, that had everything we wanted in a campground. Because this was a "no kids" trip, we wanted to enjoy some alcohol, which isn't allowed lately in many places. We are all responsible adults and knew we wouldn't get wild or destructive.. We arrived late friday night, the staff in the office was super nice to us, there is an Old Skool type game room, a nice pool. A man in a Gator showed us our MASSIVE tent site that has its own flush toilet bathroom (hurray!) and then even trucked down our wood that we bought. We wanted a nice clean basic campground to relax at, and thats exactly what it is.. If you're looking to "glamp" go to a hotel. The sites are clean, the fire pits were clean (no bottles or garbage) the bathroom was clean too. One downfall, is you have to drive up the massive hill to get to the bathhouse.. but thats fine.. My shower stall had barely any pressure, but it was enough hot water and stream to get clean. Stores are nearby, the camp store is reasonable and we understand that there is a new management staff. our group agreed that we want to come back here next year and make it our "go to" place. Some things to know: *There are NO GRILLS on the site.. Bring a grill rack or the rack out of your oven if you don't have a camp stove. * Be careful in the wood near the pond, theres a ton of poison ivy (its nature, what can you do) * They have recycling bins for glass and plastic. *there is wildlife everywhere, put your coolers away at night to avoid mishaps. *ENJOY being unplugged! read more

My wife and I stayed for a few days mid week while our son was at the nearby Scout Camp. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and they made us feel at home. The campground was very quiet and peaceful. The roadways are pretty rough (not a huge deal with a full size truck, but lower vehicles be careful) and could really use some TLC. The water pressure was a bit low but adequate, the bathrooms were pretty well kept. The downsides to the bathrooms being, locks or n the stall doors would be nice and there was some minor trash/hair in the showers (remains of a bar of soap and a label from a bottle). We did avoid the pool as it looked as if it needed some heavy attention. The camp store is really just part of the office with some bare necessities. Our site was in decent shape but the fire ring had been left pretty ugly by the previous residents....a bunch of rocks, half burnt wood and some trash was in it I think the campground is on the path to the next step up, it just needs some work. My wife and I would stay here again without hesitation for an adult getaway but it's not an exciting place for the young ones. read more

My husband and I decided to go camping last minute this past weekend for Memorial Day. This was the only campground we could find that had availability on such short notice after checking other locations in three different states. We packed up the car and headed over from NJ. We had an amazing weekend! The site itself is rustic and despite being called "primitive", the bathrooms were surprisingly nice, there was a drink vending machine, a pool, a playground area for children, etc. I am used to camping in Arizona woods with only outhouses/port-a-potties, and tepid running water from a spigot, so needless to say I was impressed with the amenities offered here. My only negative experience was with the other campers; the long-term RV people seemed really, um, trashy and the other campers were really, um, ghetto, being loud and obnoxious, blasting music well into the night, which is not necessarily management's fault, but it would've been nice for them to reprimand those being loud after 10:00 pm. I love camping for the peace and quiet and we didnt have neighbors camped in any direction near us and we could still hear people clear across the camp. Concerning insects, it was raining off and on the entire time we were there and we didn't have any major issues with mosquitos; neither of us was bitten and I only applied bug spray twice. Also, I read negative reviews elsewhere talking about how there aren't any activities for kids on site. IT'S A CAMPGROUND. You're literally paying for basic space in the outdoors. Bring cards to play, or horseshoes or whatever. Teach them wilderness skills, make s'mores, tell ghost stories. It's not a resort. Even then, there is a bowling alley and skating rink nearby the campground AND there is strong wifi at the campsite, so there's really no excuse for kids to be bored. read more

I have gone here twice now, once staying at the shale pit and once at the site by the pond. We were going to check in a bit later, so I called to see what the latest checkin time could be, and the owners said we could basically check in at any time. They are very helpful and accommodating- we bought a lot of firewood and they brought it to our site for us. I give four stars instead of five because the facilities, such as the shower house and bathrooms, could use a fair bit of cleaning. That's somewhat to be expected at a campground, so it's not like it was a surprise, but definitely bring shower shoes. read more

This is an honest review. I gave 3 stars because this place did its job. I stayed here for a Friday night before Memorial Day. Ellen was super nice and hooked us up with ice and firewood. It was a holiday weekend and I had called Thursday night so I didn't have high expectations for a great site so it was nice to have something available. I would agree with some reviews that the initial loop full of RVs had older models of RVs and it was a bit tight for my SUV to drive through. We had tent site 85 next to the toilets. Site itself was a bit small but we made the most of it. There were other sites that could accommodate multiple families but overall I think the website's pictures appeared roomier than it really was. Then again, it was a Memorial Day weekend and I'm unsure what a normal weekend would look like. Overall, clean bathrooms (it's a campground so don't expect marble flooring!) if I were to stay again, I'd pick the wood road site and field site, and shale pit site. The lake site seemed alright but depending on the season, it may have a lot of bugs. FYI, our site neighbors had loud music playing all day that was super annoying but that's not management's fault. So for $35, I really couldn't complain. read more

As a city slicker, my stay here was pretty great. The people who run the land are very friendly. The land has clean bathrooms and showers, and offers electric outlets and running water. In the area there are so many great things to do - Bushkill Falls, a snake and animal farm, fishing spots, and close enough to stores to get supplies. read more

The owner of this business LAUGHED At us when we indicated why we were unhappy with our site. We were seemingly happy for the cheap price. What can you really expect for the cheapest place in town? But then they drive around stating it's 18 dollars extra per person per night over 2 people and two children. We questioned the price and then went to the office to discuss it. In the office we were told that there was "miscommunication " between the three workers , including the owner, and that's why we didn't get the sites we requested. We were told if we weren't happy it's our fault for not complaining, apparently not their fault for not doing their job. They were already in the office talking about how 18 dollars a night was too expensive and told us other people have complained and they have lowered it in the past. When asked why they continued over charging people they again said "oh we haven't talked it's a miscommunications." The owner in particular laughed in our faces several times and offered no positive customer service for our complaints. He blatantly lied that my father didn't complain when he did. The place isn't worth what they charge and their approach to their customers is horrid. read more

I've been coming to Cranberry Run for a little over 15 yrs now and I must say that since the new ownership this place is renovating everything. It's no longer just a boring old campground / RV park anymore. Every year I come up there they are upgrading something new. This year it was the bathrooms, the bathrooms were not the best in the past and I didn't think much of it because I was camping but it's funny how the little things make your experience better. I can say that Frank and Linda (on site owners) do a fantastic job making sure their campers have a good experience. Normally I travel with a group of MTA workers and they always managed to accommodate us whether our group was 7 guys or 25 guys. My hats off to this establishment because they really worked hard to make camping a great experience. They also stock their private property lake (no license required) and have fishing durbies from time to time. There is a nice size pool next to the Recreational center with a wrap around deck for sunbathing. The rec. center has 2 pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, video games and a jukebox. In the evening they host card game and have a few TV's available so you dont miss your favorite baseball game. If your considering taking your family camping or have a group camping trip coming up you should check this place out... you won't be disappointed. Thank you for reading this review read more

We loved our experience and are planning to return. The people who left negative reviews on trip adviser are probably used to more upscale vacations. Staying at cranberry run was like staying over a the house of very friendly, laid-back friends who happen to have a game room, pool, and a campground. We arrived late Friday night and stayed over Saturday night in the one and only one-room cabin. The owners greeted us and someone escorted us to the cabin that already had the tv, fan and lamp on in anticipation of our arrival. Just a heads up if you do want to stay in the cabin - the doors do not lock. They seemed unconcerned about this, and indeed we had no issues. Of course, when we left for the day, we did not leave anything of value...but that's just common sense. We'd be doing that with a tent anyway. The cabin was as rustic as it gets. The playground.....if you've ever seen those pictures of Pripyat amusement park near Chernobyl.....you'll have a pretty good idea what to expect, just on a much smaller scale. There are literally incomplete "rides"...pieces missing, a strange antique Monkey head thing which looks like it may have been a teeter totter....a broken see saw, and a tricycle that may or may not be an intentional part of the playground. My 5 year-old daughter had a ball on the one working swing, and the bizarre jungle gym that is made from recycled parts of various other equipment. Personally, I found the quirky playground added to the whole experience....but if you are looking for a quality playground.....this is not the place for you. Despite the playground creepiness.....we loved this campground better than the KOA near Bushkill where we stayed last year, mainly for the location and scenery. We came for mountains (ok, hills). This campground is located up in the hills, nicely wooded, and the tent site are located even higher up with a view of the little valley. There is a pretty pond on the premises , and it looks like you could fish, but I'm not sure. The surrounding area is beautiful. Cranberry Creek zig zags throughout the town and there are many scenic views, lots to do, close to shopping and restaurants. Most everything is within a ten minute drive, so even though the campground feels secluded, you can run out for what you need. Other info - The pool is really nice. The game room is a jumble of stuff, simulators..pinball...punching bag...and you do have to put in the quarters, even for the billiard tables....but a nice way to kill some time and we had fun. The change machine ate our dollar, but Linda paid us for it. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty. There were some down by the pool, a separate bath house up near the trailers which we used, and another restroom in a building waay up near the tent sites. The front office doubles as a 'shop'. They have some odds and ends in there.....a couple bags of firewood, some cold beverages....a freezer with some stuff in it that I'm not sure i'd eat....couple canned goods.....They say no pets, but we saw a dog, heard another, and saw a cat, and from other reviews I've read, they are flexible. Overall, we had a great time. I would have given this 5 stars, but it seems people expect something different for five stars. Maybe door locks and a better appearance. But that's the only thing holding me back from giving this 5 stars. We're pretty laid back people, and so are the folks who run the campground, and that made it better.
