I went to Campanale's yesterday because I had not been there for awhile and had heard some bad reviews about it. I wanted to see for myself and I must admit the reviews are correct. A couple of us showed up just after noontime and the place was empty (it opens at 11:30). We sat for awhile and chatted and then ordered. One ordered a chicken caesar salad, another ordered pork chops, another ordered fish. Oh my. The chicken was not "fresh", looked like it might have been cooked the day before, the pork chops were raw near the bone and the fish was raw in the middle. The waitress was very nice and apologetic. Meanwhile, we were still the only ones in the place. One person did come in to pick up a "to go" order. We were there until 1:30 - 1:45 and no one else came in, not even at the bar. There was only one waitress on duty and I can see why, when you don't have customers there's no need for multiple waitresses. Also, the restaurant used to have parking in the rear of the building, but no more. There is on street parking, but, you don't really have to worry about getting a space because the restaurant doesn't do any business so not only will you have your choice of parking in front of the restaurant, you'll also have your choice of any seat in the place and won't have to worry about your conversation being drowned out by others. Such a shame because Campanale's used to be high end. Please note: I gave it one star because this site doesn't allow you to post without giving it a rating. One star IMO is too much. read more
