After visiting this place multiple times over the past few years, it's time to write a review. No reservations are accepted. Seating is on the first come, first served basis, so plan accordingly. During peak dinning hours, this place is packed, so come before the 5pm dinner rush. The two of us snagged a table at 5pm on a Friday, and by 6pm, there wasn't a single open table, and customers kept coming and going at a steady rush. The restaurant is fairly small, seating no more than 30 people at a time. Not suitable for large parties [six to eight is tops that they would be able to accommodate, given advanced noticed. Indoor and outdoor [not heated] seating available. Since the space is so limited, you can observe part of the kitchen, cordoned by glass, watching how cooks roll out pizza dough nonstop. Service is quick. Quite a lot of regulars come here, and you can witness them hugging the managerial staff & waiters. Gives this place a homey feel, seeing so many families return over and over again. Despite this place being small, it is very loud. You will have to raise your voice substantially, to maintain a conversation. Casual environment that's great for a laid back catch up with friends and family. Get the large [16''] pizza--the price difference is five bucks, but the size is considerable. The 12'' pie is tiny--more of a personal pie. Not good for sharing. The 16'' pie is good for sharing. Two can easily split it and be full without ordering anything else. The crust and the dough is delicate and crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The only issue I had was that the first time I had it, it had enough sauce and toppings [buffalo chicken option], but the second time, there were tons of bare spots of dough all over. No sauce, no toppings. Just plain bread. The cook was very stringy with ingredients that turn plan bread into pizza. You can do half and half, so you can try two different flavors on one pizza. Buffalo chicken ($24) comes with a nice spicy kick [not too spicy, so don't worry]. Tasty combination of melted bleu cheese and ricotta. Lombarda $25 was delicate, with prosciutto, parm shavings, and truffle oil creating a harmonious blend of flavors. However, it was topped with arugula, which did nothing but distract from the flavor combination. Picante ($23), as the name suggests, was spicy, so we drank a looooot of water offset the heat from the red chli flakes. Out of three, my favorite was the buffalo chicken both times. $15 meatballs in tomato sauce was a great appetizer portion for sharing. Loved the presentation. Four meatballs, two slices of foccacia, and a side of ricotta. Very filling. The meatballs themselves, however, were bland and underwhelming, and had a rough texture, like they have spent too long in the freezer. $18 baked clams [12 pieces] were delicious and light. Great sauce [white wine and garlic]. All the pasta portions, except lobster ravioili (which contains exactly six raviolos, but has a delicate, addictive lobster sauce), are a great size for sharing. 3% credit card fee is added to every check. My all time favorite pizza place in Brooklyn. Nothing beats Campania, I'm sorry to all the other pizza spots in Brooklyn. Their chicken wings are so good, so good that my nephew who didn't like chicken wings now only eats them here! I usually order their pepperoni with truffle oil pizza and each bite is like I'm in heaven. I have zero complaints about their food. The service is good which makes the experience more enjoyable. The chicken and vodka roll is so good, I could eat one everyday for lunch if I could. My nephew loves the linguine with clam sauce even though he doesn't eat the clams haha. Their pizzas are really tasty but the other items remain a work in progress. Ordered a penne vodka with chicken and the chicken in the dish was dry and tasted burnt despite being coated in sauce. Ordered calamari as an appetizer which was just disappointing. Breaded lightly but lacked any flavor, or salt for that matter, squid was minimal amongst the breading as well. I would highly recommend to sticking with their pizza offerings as those were more flavorful and delicious. I should've just ordered two pizzas instead of trying their other Italian dishes. Their alcoholic drinks are also pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Their interior is really nicely decorated, and their bathroom is singular and spacious which is nice. Okay, can I stop going to Italian restaurants now? It is getting a bit excessive. This was pretty much like going to Pizza Brook in Manhattan, except they do a little more, family style. I ordered the Arancini and a half Calabrese and a half Margherita pie. Speaking on behalf of the Arancini, they are a bit bland, it is just rice and some parsley. I would have liked maybe some meat or peas in there to give it extra flavor. As for the pizza, it is good, the crust is cooked perfectly, but a 12 inch pie is small. I wanted the 16 inch pie, but I was never asked, so they went with the small. I guess it is easier on the wallet, and easier to say nothing than to ask what I really wanted. That is unacceptable customer service, and why I am docking two stars instead of one. Next time, make sure your staff is more attentive to the customer instead of assuming. It creates a better overall feel in the end. This time, I was cheated out of what could have been a special pie. read more

We were nice and toasty in there as the dining room was packed. We usually order a few appetizers and pizzas to share. Sometimes with our own pastas for entrees. Everything was delicious! The apps are served family style, but the portions required more than one serving for our group of 6.. Or maybe we just eat more than the average . Back when Campania first opened up, I didn't have a great experience. HOWEVER, I have been back several times since and can confirm that the food is spot on. I had initially tried for Waster, but they were closed. I ordered Mozzarella Sticks, Pizza and Penne Vodka. The pizza was awesome, but the Penne was even better. I was thrilled all the way around. We all loved it as a matter fact. The pizza was a little cold, but that was because I asked for a later delivery time then what they told me. First of all, I want to say this is a pretty place and I'm willing to give this place another try, but for this visit I have to give it three stars because the pizza was such a disappointment. It was Thin Pizza, but it was too thin to the point where it dried up so hard we couldn't even eat it, that's how hard it was. The truffle mac and cheese was fine, I would have just preferred the cheese to be more cheesy or thicker. For entrees, I got the lobster ravioli (individual portion - 6 pieces), and the others got the chicken parm sandwiches, linguini with clams and the penne vodka. We also got an eggplant pizza for the table. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the pizza was good, but the eggplant was nowhere for us. The lobster ravioli sauce was great, though the inside was more cheese than lobster and the bits inside could not be tasted. Overall, we had a really good meal and this was said multiple time throughout the meal. My husband had this place bookmarked for me to try (most likely because of the lobster ravioli) and I'm glad he did. Arguably one of the best restaurants on Hylan Blvd. The restaurant offers lots of outdoor seating and has a great modern/clean aesthetic (unlike a lot of nearby restaurants which often feel dated). The food is also really delicious and they have a good mix of classic Italian dishes as well as new dishes you probably haven't had before. Some of our favorites are the veal parmesan sandwich, the chicken fettuccini, the gnocchi, and the fioretti boscaiola. My only knock would be that I think some of the portions could be a little more generous considering the prices. Pro-tip: when ordering takeout, come with someone else so they can wait in the car while you grab the food as it gets super crowded during peak hours and parking is extremely limited/mostly valet. read more

Campania has consistently delivered beautifully prepared pizza made in a coal-fired oven. The coal-fired pizza oven yields a wonderful crisp this crust, just the way it should be. A wide range of toppings are available. My personal favorite is the carciofi pizza - a white pizza with artichoke, mushrooms and a bit of spinach accented with Pecorino Romano cheese. This evening we also enjoyed the pesto pizza. We have also tried a number of others. Campania also offers a pizza from a "regular oven", seafood, salads, etc. The caesar salad is outstanding as is my personal favorite, the Carciofi Salad - with sliced artichokes and shaved artichokes among the greens. Campania restaurants seem to be opening left and right in Staten Island! We arrived on a weekday for dinner, where we had been greeted promptly upon entry and had the option to dine indoors or outdoors. We were seated swiftly indoors and felt content with the Covid precautionary actions (i.e., clean and sanitary tables and floors, dividers between tables, etc.) and customer service. The interior is quite beautiful too. Brick-covered walls, antique crystal chandeliers, and a candle-lit theme bring out the elegance of the restaurant. Campania's menu featured an array of unique Italian entrees and appetizers, brick-oven specialty pizzas, and splurge-worthy desserts - like a Nutella banana pizza pie! We ordered their "Sausage Ring" appetizer as an entree and their "Prosciutto San Daniele" sandwich on their delicious homemade focaccia bread. The sausage ring and sauteed broccoli rabe that accompanied was flavorful, and its quantity made for a satisfying entree. The Prosciutto San Daniele sandwich was palatable but not something I would order again. While the cooks forgot to add the balsamic glaze to my sandwich, I appreciated the waitress's atonement (though not her fault) and her willingness to provide a side of balsamic glaze for my slightly dry sandwich. In essence, my family and I were delighted with our meal and the service we received at Campania. Went there for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, waited 30 minutes for a pizza. Ordered a burger with no cheese and a tuna Asian salad along with other items and waited over an hour for the items. The burger had cheese, so I returned it only to get it back with the underside having the cheese scrapped off and returned that one for a fresh one, salad tasted like it was sitting in the fridge but with warm tuna and no sesame or soy dressing just balsamic which I also returned. They did take these two items along with our coffees off the bill but I was very disappointed with the food and service, was very unlike the Campania we know and have been to so often.
