Bought a few cars from them in past with no problems. My last purchase made me realize they just buy problem cars and make them look pretty. My 2005 avalon purchase was a big mistake. It had low miles and thought this car will last me years. I paid big money for me as I am on disability and fixed income. He, I think Dave, told me his cars don't leak. A couple after the engine light went out and brought it back, they cleared codes only for it to come back on. I personally tried to buy a new gas cap and that fixed it. So off I went and started seeing drops oil on driveway. All the oil leaking out timing chain cover had puddled on plastic shield all this time. The mechanic I took it to said it had been there for quite awhile. Damaged my steering components and only way fix this is to drop entire engine to repair. I don't have that money and am stuck with a problem car I can't afford to fix. Only had 1 month warranty,besides I cannot trust them now to pay money for a fix, when they mislead me all along. My experience with Campbell's Auto Sport was perfect from start to finish. I was looking for a car for my wife for over a year ( make, model, features and color combination) and Campbell's Auto Sport had it. We came up and looked at it and took it for a test drive. The car was immaculate and drove great. Dave Campbell told us as much as he knew about the back story on the car. After our conversation my wife said she wanted to think about it. Dave's closing line was, "What do you need to think about?" At that point, I thought, he's right. I just had a good feeling about him, the car, and the dealership and couldn't have been more right. I filled out the loan application on my cellphone while Dave wrote up the contract. We negotiated a trade in and about 26 hours later, we were driving down the road in our new used BMW. There was a small door ding on the car and a week later, Dave called and said bring the car back and he would get the dent popped out. They did, and you can not see any trace of the dent and it took about 15 minutes. It's perfect. I can't thank Dave and his staff enough. The entire transaction was stress-free and enjoyable. They all were super friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely recommend Campbell's if you're in the market for a vehicle. read more

If I could give a zero I would!! CAUTION BUYER BEWARE!!! On Sat Aug 21, 2021 my husband and I put money down on a 2009 Red Honda CR-V exl with 84,000 miles. On our test drive we noticed the brakes needed work. We mentioned this to Dave Holtz the salesman and he said no problem we need to do a full inspection yet and will look at the brakes, fix the windshield wiper, clean and detail it. The following week my husband called Dave Holtz to check on the vehicle status and Dave said his mechanic was resurfacing the rotators and putting new brake pads on. The wiper will be replaced and everything checks out. The vehicle will be ready for purchase and pick up Friday Aug 27th. When we saw the vehicle it looked so clean! Dave Holtz said..."our Detailer who does million dollar cars did this one". "You got lucky" As I drove the vehicle home I noticed some squealing but thought...they said they fixed the brakes? By Sat though there was more squealing, pulsating brakes, occasional vibration in the steering wheel, clunking sounds from the rear and instability when going around roundabouts. On Monday Aug 30 the tire light was now on too. Our guts were telling us to get this vehicle inspected. On this day I took the vehicle to our local dealership for inspection and to make a long story short they found $4200.00 in repairs. The dealership said yes the rotors were resurfaced and new brake pads were put on but all should have been totally replaced. The dealership said they were so warped and looked like records. The struts were leaking and needed to be replaced along with an alignment. There was seepage from the power steering, a loose heat shield, a nail in the tire and a new wiper replacement was needed. The dealership said some of the boxes should never have been checked as passing through inspection. When this report was addressed with Dave Campbell via phone call he said..."large dealerships will find way more wrong and will want to charge for repairs". This by the way is the same dealership who felt sorry for me and didn't even charge me for the inspection and also told be if possible return this car ASAP! On the phone Dave Campbell said to me he is the one who did the brakes (aka Dave Holtz's mechanic aka the owner) He thought this was okay? On Aug 30, 2021 my husband and I returned the car. Dave Campbell told my husband..."Most people would try to fix this" " You didn't even give me a chance". My husband then said..." I gave you a chance the whole week you had this vehicle to fix it and make it right". HERE IS THE BEST PART!!!!! Today Sept 2, 2021 I get an email from carguru that a newly listed Honda CR-V EXL is listed and when I looked it up it is THE SAME CRV WE RETURNED 2 DAYS AGO!!! Dave you were given that repair work order sheet with the returned vehicle ....can you honestly say you did $4200.00 in repairs in the last 2 days? I had an extremely disappointing experience with this particular car dealership about a year ago, and I suddenly felt motivated to write a review on yelp about it. I went in looking for a budget Toyota because my 2000 Ford Taurus with 130,000 miles on it was on it's last leg. I saw online there was a 2002 Toyota Corolla with around 100K miles on it available at this particular dealership, so I drove to this dealership to take a look at it. I parked and looked around for the 2002 Corolla - and there it was! It was so shiny (not really) and nice and reliable - I was quite intrigued! I went inside the dealership and asked the only person working there if I could take a look inside the car. The man reached behind the desk and grabbed a pair of keys and handed them over to me. He then proceeded to do whatever he was doing and didn't really say anything. I was a little surprised that he just handed me the keys - but I headed outside, opened the car up, and checked it out. When I sat inside, I realized this was the car for me. It seemed clean - fit me perfect - and of course, had that bulletproof Toyota reliability. So, as an interested customer, I went back inside and asked the man if I could test drive it... He took one look at me and smugly stated, "Are your parents going to be buying this for you?" I was a little shocked - but yah. I was (at that time) a 20 year old pizza delivery driver and the car was listed at $7000 (way overpriced for an '02 Corolla), so my parents agreed to help me pay for part of the car. He told me to, "bring them back and then I'll LET you test drive it." I found that pretty insulting. Just because I look young doesn't mean I am not a serious buyer. I was ready to buy this car - it really was the perfect car for me. His attitude was really uncool and for someone to make an assumption about me based on how I looked wasn't nice. I waited about a year and I just purchased a 2008 Toyota Corolla with 65K miles for about $3,000 more than this guy was selling his '02. Seriously - what a ripoff. read more

The cars are rushed through safety inspections. If u do decide to buy from them make sure u take it to a trusted tech and inspect the vehicle before u buy. They expect top dollar for there cars. They got very rude when we pointed out stuff that was wrong with the vehicle. I tried to negotiate a better price and was told that if it was sold at that price he would only make $200 on the car. What a joke. I wasn't born yesterday dude. I know how it works, I'm not an idiot. But that is how they treated us, like morons. Oh yeah and because we got such a great deal, a whopping $300 off asking price. We were told that we don't get the 30 day warranty/guaranty. Purchased a car from Campbell's and would like to share my experience. Vehicle purchased seemed on the surface to be very clean with less than 120,000 miles so we payed over KBB value for it. David Holtz, our salesman assured us we would not find another car better, and the owner Dave Campbell actually had been using the car as his personal driver for months it was so nice. Holtz also claimed they had put a lot of money into the car and that their mechanic was a certified Honda mechanic thus the price was firm and they tacked an $150 service fee on top of the asking price. Soon after the purchase we started to notice all the "lipstick" campbell had applied to this pig. The leather interior had been patched in several spots and was falling apart. The top engine motor mount had been installed improperly and was cross-threaded.The engine has an oil leak. The Gear selection light flashes when in drive indicating a possible transmission failure. The steering wheel would shutter occasionally when turning the wheel sharply. The chrome trim on the car was spray painted black and began to fall off after its first car wash, along will the silver paint he had sprayed on the alloy rims to cover up the damage on them. A few weeks later the battery had to be replaced. I understand that these tricks are used by all amature car flippers, and you need to watch for these things, but what I am going to tell you next boarders on criminal. Recently me wife hit a snowbank and the front end seemed to be in need of an alignment. Took it in to the shop only to find out that this car had previously been in a wreck and the frame was bent. To make the car drivable and the damage unnoticable an aftermarket adjustable ball joint was installed with only a 1/4" of thread holding it on. This is the main part that holds the wheel on BTW. The tie rod had also been adjusted all the way out to compensate for the bent frame. Called Campbell's to see if they would explain this as they had signed off on the inspection form that the car had no frame damage. David Holtz assured me on 3 different calls that Dave Campbell would call me back ASAP. He never did so we stopped in and were told by Holtz that he did not know when Campbell would be in. Estimates to repair this car are almost $4000.00 We paid Campbell $7800 for the car. read more
