Came here after a day of sight seeing. It was an unusually warm day making pizza and beer the perfect combination. Campfire is located within Harbor Mtn Brewing. You wont see a sign outside telling you there is a pizza place inside- so just look for the brewery and proceed inside. Folks who work there are super nice and the pizza is made to order. It's a thin crust so I would say 1 pizza is good for 2 to 3 to share. We ordered the pepperoni- which was tasty and hit the spot. Also got a side of the house ranch which paired well with the pizza. The service was good and the servers great, BUT the pizza, we got the spicy pepperoni pie, was less than desired. The crust was not crispy at all, rather spongy. I have never had spongy coalfired pizza. The cheese was plopped on in little sections around the pizza and not spread out over the whole pizza. The pepperoni was really good. We picked it off the pizza pieces we left. I am not from here so maybe this is how they do it in Sitka. The vibe was like a pub, which was also great. Just our experience. read more

Loyal customer since they opened a handful of years ago. Crust is great artisan wood fire quality with a nice texture/bite. Eat while fresh, as amazing crust needs to be appreciated while fresh out of the oven and hot. Miss their housemade death sauce (habanero dipping sauce) sooo much though !! Made me sweat everytime I ate it but oh so worth it, flavor was truly amazing and always kept me coming back for more. One of my only gripes with this place is I have no clue what's on the daily menu unless I physically go to the restaurant. The menus are customized each day/week, which I appreciate, but since I only order togo, it's inconvenient to have to go there to figure out a plan. I ordered the kicking baby I will say my pizza was really good. The negative - it took forever to make. We got in right when they opened and from order to pizza at our table was 48 minutes. The pizza was really good. There is no silverware if you like to cut your pizza up (which I wanted to since the pepperoni had so much grease was dripping with every bite) Would I recommend. Heck yes. This place is inside of Harbor Mountain Brewery. They have excellent pizzas and we really like their beets appetizer. The kind of pizzas they have rotates so any menu you see is probably out of date but that never stops us from going because we know the pizza is going to be good. They also have good Gelato. My kids can be very picky but the staff and owners are always willing to make us a pizza that's just crust! It sounds funny but my kids love it and it's quite good. That's actually an excellent example of how good their pizzas are that even when we get just a crust pizza with nothing at all on it, no cheese or sauce, my kids scarf it down and my wife and I usually split a piece. Pizza & the Cinnamon Rolls were delicious! We ordered 3 diff pizza for the table (the last 3 on the menu) and the crust was perfect, crisp in the right spots and tender & chewy in the others. The ambience is super cute. That's THE MOST beautiful wood-burning pizza oven I've ever seen! The staff were patient with our indecision and super friendly. The only reason(s) it's not 5 stars, is as follows: 1- no beer/wine on site as they don't (yet) have that license. We were told by the staff as well as signs posted in house that they have a "friendly agreement with the Moose Lodge next door. Let them know you're waiting on your pizza and have a drink there while you wait." Sounds simple enough but when we got to the Lodge, we were told we could only be served if a Member was willing to sign us in & we had to pay cash. I understand how and why private clubs work- but maybe communicate the process better to the pizza patrons Or- fix the agreement issues?? 2- the address is listed wrong as they have moved into downtown (right next to the theatre) but that might be more a YELP problem than Campfire- not sure. What I do know is if we had walked to the old location in that pouring rain, just to find out we had literally been standing right behind it- it would've been a big . Luckily my wonderful friend had loaned us a car that day. 3- you have to stick to the script. You can add toppings (for a fee) but you can not order 1/2 one type and the other 1/2 another type. The pies are mouth-watering but the prices are eye-watering. I wanted to give this place 5-stars, so-so bad, but I just can't with these sorts of prices. Expect to easily pay $18-24 for a personal-sized pizza (there are some pizzas for around $12 but they have almost nothing on them). This is nearing double the price of Moose's Tooth. Now, don't get me wrong, this place is in no way trying to be Moose's Tooth. The pizza year is more of a Neopolitan (read: charred, minimal sauce, sparse toppings, tasty crust) take on pizza, with the strategic augmentation of some American-style toppings. if that's good or bad probably depends on your subjective tastes, but I dig it! It's similar in style to Hearth in Anchorage, but I would argue that the pies here are even better! To add insult to injury, they are delivered in these enormous boxes but...when you open up the package, just an itty bitty gift inside. The staff is super-friendly, and you can't beat their location inside of an Amazing brewery, I just wish everything was $3 cheaper. read more

During our cruise to Alaska, Campfire Kitchen came highly recommended by a local merchant. So we made plans to take in the sites, a short hike and end with a great lunch. Well this wasn't the case, Campfire Kitchen was a huge disappointment. First know that the bar ( Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. and Campfire kitchen are two different businesses that share the restaurant space, which means, you have to get in two different lines to get your food AND your drinks. When our pizza was finally ready ( close to an hour) I went to the bar to ask for some plates, the bar tender said very uncaringly " I don't have any plates, you might want to try them" as she nodded to the Pizza owner. When I asked the pizza owner for plates, he said we don't have plates, but you can use these pizza cooking pans". What? Why wouldn't you at least have paper plates or paper towels or something to put your food on? The pizza was just ok and the service was terrible. There is a sign on the wall that says " We love it when you bus your own table". This is why I don't like to tip when I pay for the food and service before I get it. Really amazing wood-fired pizza. The menu includes both traditional pizzas (margarita, pepperoni etc) and some very unique flavor combinations. Crust, sauce, and toppings were very on point. We ordered from their counter inside the Harbor Mountain Brewing company. Even if you're not a beer person, HMBC has root beer and a NA spritzer option. This place is inside of a brewery in sitka, alaska...and their pizza is terrific!! We ordered the "super baby" pizza and added chili's. The sauce ratio was perfect, nice thin crust, with a really good outer crust, and unlike most pizza places, they KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY USE PEPPERONI!! You can see then curled up in the picture, that is how pepperoni should look!! Further more, the staff was awesome, great customer service, and being a one room production on the inside of a brewery, is genius for a pizza place...5 STARS!! Went in to the brewery in the same building and got a great hazy and couldn't help but check out what the amazing smell was. It was so hard to decide on a pizza with all there amazing options. Went here today for lunch because it was the closest place to grab lunch during the walk between the totem pole park and the raptor center. It's located in an industrial looking strip mall next to a gas station and post office. Doesn't look super inviting from the outside. In fact I couldn't see any outside sign saying that this pizza joint was here until we walked into the Harbor Mountain brewery. It's really nice inside. Ordered beer on tap at the brewery then waited for our pizza to be cooked in a wood fire oven. I have a buddy who is a pizza fanatic (he has a wood oven pizza oven in his backyard) so I've had the chance to really good thin crust pizza - and the pie we had today was truly superb. Thin and crispy yet chewy crust. We just had the tomato pie which sounds boring but it was awesome. Highly recommend!! read more

This brew co has decent if not good beer - so there is that. However, the pizzas are spendy & small. Additionally, this business has a neon sign reading "SUDS & ZA" - which is stupid af. The chef and chief fire attendant was very helpful and flexible, making my mother a custom pie which she loved too. Great crust and quality ingredients aren't cheap, but very tasty.
