Just wanted to update everyone on the fact that I emailed the corporate as instructed on my last review and all I received was a generic email stating they would get back to me. However, it's been over two weeks and I still haven't heard from anyone. This is very disappointing. Stay away from this dealership. Went there after talking Mr Slopeck on the phone and trying to make sure we were not wasting time. Went to to the dealership and spent over 4 hours looking at campers and talking with Mr Slopeck to finally agree on a price and finance numbers. Even had the "finance manager" say that it's no problem. Waiting a week and finally I called them and was told a totally different price and finance numbers. This is called a bait and switch. They bait you in run your credit and switch everything. read more

We purchased a 2021 Thor Motor Coach in May 2021. Lots of issues. Hard time getting appointments with service center. They didn't complete reports to manufacturers to log the problem. Was sent to 2 Mercedes shops that also can not fix the issue. Also did not report to manufacturers or warranty. Now out of warranty and still unsafe tires. No one returns calls left for owner or service center. Tire was very low after it spent weeks there. Asked if they could put air in it for the drive home, they told me where the nearest gas station was. They did not mention that there are no authorized service centers for Thor in NE. It also seems that they don't make this model anymore. Very expensive lawn ornament that we have to put air in the tire evey day. read more

So last weekend we took some friends from out of town shopping for an RV. They are looking to upgrade and we took them to 3 places that we know of. This was one of them and I was horribly embarrassed to have been the 1 to take them there because their experience was so bad. At the other 2 places you could just go and the prices were posted, the information was posted, and you could go in-and-out of the campers just see what it was that you were looking for. They weren't sure what size or what amenities they wanted in a camper or even the price. Going in-and-out of many different types of campers gave them more of an idea of what they were looking for. When we went to Camping World the campers were all locked up. No salesperson came out to help us. And when they met a sales person inside he immediately wanted to discuss their down payment and financing with them. They hadn't even seen a camper on the lot. It was just a hard sell but without knowing what was out on the lot to even purchase. On the other hand their retail department is excellent. They have a lot of items that are new and interesting and some that are on sale. It's fun to go and see I items that you may not have for your camper and may not know that you want but when you see them you realize how handy they are or fun they are so you want out try things out. And this is the place to do it because their prices are very reasonable and the staff in the retail department is excellent. But as far as RV sales, I would not go back. read more

I have never had such bad customer service in my life. I have traveled back & forth 3 times to pick up my brand new camper after they said the repairs were done. The table was too large to put my slide in with it up so they were supposed to fix that as well as nails poking up through the floor and the camper has a major leak. I'm here now and the floors have puddles the table is still not correct and Kim at the service desk said that maybe we should go somewhere else! RUDE, the worst customer service ever!!! Buyer beware! The absolute WORST customer service. We bought a very expensive 5th wheel. From the beginning, everything went wrong. We finally have our camper at our seasonal site and it was delivered with NO KEYS. When we called they said LAST WEEK the keys were mailed out. Still no keys. Prior to having the camper delivered we went to have a washer and dryer installed. They have over A MONTH to install the washer dryer. When we called to have the camper delivered we asked about the washer and dryer. IT WAS NEVER INSTALLED. And we would have had to leave it another 2 weeks to have it installed. Run, don't walk, from this place. Absolutely an embarrassment. And the email from Campers World saying they want to help fix it is a scam. read more

Wish I could give a negative rating!!! Ran out of propane so had no heat was 12 degrees called to make sure could get because day before went and the person wasn't there...was assured I could get ...got there and was told too cold to get because it would damage my system..found a refill station and was told they lied!! They would rather you freeze to death than have to go fill tank in the cold! They said can't fill propane if under 32 degrees including wind chill..scumbags!!! read more

I was called by Amanda who knew I had been looking for a small used class C motorhome since last year. She informed me of a small class C that had just come in and the price was right for us. I made an appointment so my wife and I could go see it the next day Friday the 18 in the morning. When we got there, we asked to see Brian as I was told the day before. Everything went great we checked out the RV and test drove it. and we decided to buy it. Brian Norris the salesman was great and showed us everything and was with us during the whole deal. He drew up all the preliminary paperwork and after being assisted by Ian the finance manager we left to return in a week for orientation which is tomorrow on Saturday to finalize the purchase. We are first time RV buyers, so we are new to all of this but so far everything is going smooth, but we still have a little way to go so tomorrow we'll see. I have bought many a cars from auto dealers before and sometimes it was a nightmare and everything that could go wrong went wrong.....typical murphy's law but we will see tomorrow. We have a few concerns and expect to have all resolved by tomorrow. My hope is that everything ends as it started.......just great. read more

We needed to swing by Camping World to pick up a few things for our 2019 Leisure Travel Van on a Mercedes Benz chassis. we stopped ran our errand and when we got back in our rig the van started with all the error sensors lit up! It would not even go into gear. Windshield washers going and we couldn't shut the van off. It just would not shut off. As we waited nearly five hours for a tow truck to get us to the Benz dealership 2 technicians came to try and assist and with their good thinking got the van to shut off. Electrical nightmare that they couldn't address, but they couldn't have been nicer. Numerous employees came to check on us to see if we needed anything as we waited. And they all felt our pain. Some even came to visit with our dogs. What a great group of employees. Kind and service oriented. We thank you!! read more

Beware of any extras they try to sell you because if you change your mind it will be extremely difficult to cancel or change any of it. Service department is very hard to deal with. As an update to my original review, written about a January 19th purchase from Campers World Berkeley.......as you can see most reviews are bad, if you read a good one beware!!!! Because.....after you purchase a trailer the sales men will have you spin a money wheel. Amounts ranging from small to about $50. You are then told "if you write a review and bring a copy to us upon your pick up we will double your money." They are not saying write a good one , but how many of us would bring back to them the proof of writing a BAD review. Bottom line any good review was bought!!!! read more

DO NOT do business with this Campers World! It is a nightmare to deal with the service department. They never answer the phone or call you back until you have reached a boiling point.... they lie about waiting for parts. I reported a "slight drip" in the water heater and got it back with water gushing like a fire hydrant, only to be told that they could not fix it!! They knew about this the whole 4 months they had it and never said a word! This is just the tip of the enormous iceberg of problems with service. I have close to 50 emails and more voicemails than I can count in dealing with this place. I could go on but as I type this, I'm getting angrier.... Awful! read more

Recently bought a 5th wheel. Sales people were very nice UNTIL they got your money. There was a couple little things that needed to be fixed. But unfortunately once the financing was done you don't matter anymore. They don't return calls. The lady from the service department said she didn't want to call us until she had the right info, unfortunately it was 3 days later and she still hadn't called us. We called and were told it's a service issue. For days we talked with service but when we showed up to the store service says it's a delivery issue. They told us our camper was all fixed, we go to look at it and they haven't fixed a thing. While we were standing in the service dept, someone came in and stated our missing parts were in but when we went to get our camper today they said our shade, which was one of the items they specifically said came in, wasn't in. So either camping world has the worst internal communication or they intentionally ignore what the other departments are doing either way the customer is strung alone and told they're so busy and we were lucky to have been squeezed in. Sorry but if I bought something new how the heck am I getting squeezed in for repairs? WTH don't you have the equipment sales ready...I mean aren't these units on the sales floor? But hey what do I know, they already got my money and now I'm just a repair or warranty issue. Unfortunately I can go on and on about how horrible and incompetent every department in Camping World was. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

I am reaching out on behalf of my mother who purchased a 41ft Montana from the Camping World Berkley location. While the experience started out well with negotiations and choosing of the 5th wheel it ended horribly when she was charged sales tax and upsold on useless warranties and road side assistance that she didn't need. During the negotiation process I was with my mother and explained multiple times to the sales staff that this trailer would be only towed to my house once and that she would be living in it in NH full time. That I did not want it registered in MA as I didn't want to pay the MA sales tax on it. It should be considered a NH purchased item similar to how you can do with a car. The team went ahead anyhow and registered it in MA and then charged my Mother the full cost of the sales tax. We were promised that a check for the full amount of the sales tax would be sent to our bank from Camping world to cover the that cost. To date that has not happened. No we are looking to pay off the trailer. I approved the price my mother would be paying with the sales staff. My mother went through the financing process and went back alone to finalize the deal. They sold her on every useless protection plan option that one could possibly offer to the tune of close to $9k which is now financed out. They saw a little elderly woman come in and sold her every horror story one could to take advantage of her trusting nature. I am beyond disgusted with how she was treated and would warn all future buyers to be aware of how poorly this location has treated someone in a vulnerable state. We ended up paying over $14k more then the price originally agreed upon. I hope that someone within your organization can help to sort this out. read more

Don't bother going here not only did we drive 2 hours to come here we go on a Sunday and there's no one to great you and eveything on there lot is locked up tight even at open hours insane how do you look at rvs if you can't get in we had our son with us and didn't need another person in tow opening and unlocking we just wanted to look to see if they had something that would work for us and then be done didn't need hand holding. What a joke this place was waste of our time ended up at Buying elsewhere . read more

Every time I go in to this location or call, there is never anyone in the service department that can order a part for my camper. Today was a treat when I called service but was immediately sent to the retail floor. I asked for a wipe seal for my camper. After waiting on hold for 5 minutes, the kid says "I looked on the shelves and couldn't find it" I said no, it wouldn't be on the floor, that's why I called service. That's when he informed me I called retail. No I did not, I selected parts and installation from the prompts on the phone. He said well no one is in service. THEY NEVER ARE! I'll call someone else and have them order it since Camping World doesn't seem to want my money. read more

Terrible customer service and lack of call backs or communication. These people are crooks. I told my sales person I would put $500 to hold a unit. I was told this was refundable if we decided not to move forward. We needed time to discuss and since no one in the finance dept was there we would have to wait to find out the terms. They charged my card for $1000. I said no big deal since it was refundable. We waited for financing rates/terms. All they could tell me was a "very low" monthly rate. This low monthly rate just happened to be for 15 years. In the meantime they "prepped" the unit despite the fact that we didn't sign a finance agreement or do our walk through. We weren't happy with the deal and decided not to move forward. Because the unit had been "prepped" (again despite the fact we didn't have a sales agreement, financing etc) we were charged a "prep fee".. which just happens to be $950. The general manager has been dodging calls since and every time I call I'm assured I'll get a call back. We have yet to hear anything or get a refund. Stay away!! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

ZERO STARS - OUR RV IS DESTROYED because of Camping World. We had it in Tucson, AZ for some extensive renovation work and asked that the unit be thoroughly inspected for any caulking that it needed, including completely removing old caulk from the roof and recaulking that in its entirety. We picked it up to drive it back east and exactly 6 days after we picked it up we had water pouring in the cab-to-body seam near the front and another leak in the back. After almost two months back and forth with the Tucson store, we left it with the Berkley, MA store (for almost six months), got it back in June, used it twice, winterized and sealed it up and for the winter. Opened it up and last weekend and there is STANDING WATER in our unit. Started calling last week and so far not even the courtesy of a return call. We'll be contacting BBB and the state's CP office if we don't get a satisfactory response very soon. Update: Sam G. from camping world responded to my review very quickly with an email address to contact him. I did that very soon after his note and...nothing! No response, no indication of what they are going to do to help. 3/14/2018: Still no response from Camping World. Very quick to respond online, absolutely unresponsive otherwise. Very, very poor. Our camper is pretty much a very large paperweight at this point. read more

Worst company I've ever dealt with. They had my RV 5 weeks, multiple calls nobody calls you back and if you ask for a manager the receptionist hangs up on you. The service manager is awful. They misdiagnosed the problem (they sent it to a Ford dealer for a chassis issue when it was a battery) and they expect you should pay for a misdiagnosis. If I broke down in front of this place I'd tow it elsewhere. Campers World corporate insisted my issue was resolved when I still didn't even have the RV back! Buyers beware! read more

The staff at camping world was super friendly and knowledgeable. Gunner took very good care of us and made sure we got the right camper and didn't try to oversell us. We shopped around and found camping worlds prices to be very competitive. As first time camper buyers, they took a lot of time explaining everything to us.
