I am writing this positive review to thank Lou Baca in the service department. I purchased a new unit last winter from this CW location and didn't take it out for several months. On my first trip in the Spring I had a slide issue. After I contacted Lou he got me an appointment the same week and fixed the slide motor in the following week. Wasn't pleased my new unit had these issues, but that is not his fault. I also recently brought my unit back in for its first round of warranty work. My list was quite extensive. Lou and I didn't agree on everything on the list. However, I trust his judgement and feel as though he is proving me the straight story on how the process works with the manufacturer and what the best steps forward. I will follow-up to this post when I get the unit back. In the meantime I would not hesitate to recommend both him and this service department as the customer service I have received has been great. read more

I also would give a lower rating than one star if I could. My father had an issue with a warranty service on a refrigerator. Louis has terrible customer service and is essentially a liar. When we contacted the refrigerator manufacturer they were quite helpful, but assured us that the camp world representative were not being truthful and that they had not attempted to get any warranty work corrected. This manufacturer advised that this is a common practice with campworld and they actually suggested to retrieve the camper from campworld and she gave me other locations that will be of better and honest customer service.... I really wish I would have read the reviews on campworld before taking my business to them. We recently purchased a third camper from Camping World in Golden. Our first two experiences were not terrible, but weren't great either. We had some issues with post purchase support and we questioned going back if we ever purchased another camper. When we decided to trade in our second unit we looked at several other places and came to Camping World last since they did have a model that fit our needs pretty well. We were expecting to have another lackluster experience. We came in just a couple minutes before closing time and were greeted by Ed Sweetwood who was on his way out the door for the day. He gladly put his belongings down and patiently showed us multiple units, their features, and his personal knowledge and experience with campers. He never rushed us, and was not pushy at any moment. We decided to purchase the unit that same night. When it came to make a deal Ed listened to what we wanted and negotiated fairly. The finance team was also very good, fast, and listened when we were not interested in any additional warranty packages, etc. Ed called us the next day to verify several outstanding items regarding our hitch. I was even surprised to see a couple items that I had mentioned to Ed included at pickup that were not part of our final negotiation, but he made it happen. When we picked up the unit things ran smoothly without any issues. Ed made time again to be there when we picked up the camper to check with us and to make sure that all went well. He also followed up a couple weeks. I have definitely seen some great improvement at Camping world. My guess is new management. I bought a generator about a year ago from here and I wasn't happy with the decibel level. With my business I was having noise complaints so I though I would bring it back due to the issue. With it being a generator they flat out do not do returns or even exchanges as it says on the receipt. (But you never know unless you ask.) I explained our problem and needed to find a quieter decibel for future events. With out hesitation they looked at our original receipt and our 3 year protection plan. Luckily for us the district manager was there that day and was more than happy to see what could be done. With our purchase history in the system and being a Club Member there they were very adamant in keeping us happy customers. With a few phone calls they refunded us our money and gave us additional suggestions where we may purchase a generator of our liking. Love it! I had also purchased a water heating system that we have been using for almost a year. Due to the recent cold weather I think it had busted the piping system inside the body of the heater. Well, I also had the receipt for this item as well as a 2 year protection on it. I brought that in today and not one issue. They checked out the protection plan, grabbed a new one of the shelf for me and I was good to go. Simple exchanged old for new. The only money that came out of this issue was purchasing a new protection plan for the new water heating system. That I can do. :) These guys know what great customer service means. The only little tiny problem if I had one. They only usually have one check out person and she's always chatty so it takes forever to check out. I know you want to get to know your customers but geez didn't know I would have to share my life story with her before I leave every time. read more

Go elsewhere, anywhere. I think they avoid trying to actually sell RV's. I stood there and told the sales manager I was ready to buy a unit on the lot, literally had my checkbook in hand...He said he would give me a call back and walked out the dealership. If he had a personal emergency he could have introduced me to another person and gotten this done, instead he wasted my time, had no regard that others may have busy schedules as well (this was my 3rd trip to that store). I've never been to a store, ANY store, that avoids you when you tell them you have money to give them. Don't waste your time there. read more

I purchased a used RV at this location in February. At the time it seemed like a decent experience. It has been a nightmare sense. Things inside the RV didn't function from the start, no manual provided, my title and registration paperwork wasn't correct or is straight up missing so I am having difficulty getting it registered in my home state (they did not help me with this), and I found out that I owe 10k more than I originally thought from an extended warranty plan I agreed to without understanding the full expense. (That one is on me but they took full advantage of my naivity in purchasing an RV for the first time). My experience with Camping World has been nothing short of a nightmare. I would not recommend dealing with them at any level. Very unhappy I spent almost 70k at their business only to be left with a mess to sort out myself on top of the stress of being a new RV owner. read more

Run from the dealership. There are reviews on the internet I should have looked at. Bought a new Thor RV yesterday and the alternator failed 2 hours down the road out of Colorado. I had to leave it in a small town in Co and the salesperson Nick T expected me to stay with the coach alone all night by myself with no food , water or warm clothing until a tow truck came. It's 728am the next day and the tow truck has still not obtain the vehicle from the town. I was driven home by a friend. I gave the dealer $20k of down payment. I have no RV. No idea when and if it will be fixed. Cannot go on trip I planned and took time off work for this weekend. The manager Matthew U would do nothing to make this right except call good sams to " escalate" the towing lol. The right thing would have been for them to arrange the RV to be towed back to their dodge dealer and torn up the contract. They put my life at risk and ruined my birthday and trip. They will pretend they care then leave you with a defective product and tell you because of Colorado law they won't take the RV back. Your stuck with it. Do not buy from them read more

Let me first jump to the punchline. Worst experience ever - I implore you to use a different business.......any business. These guys are absolute clowns and what makes it worse is their complete indifference to their customers exhibited through abrasive arrogance. Marcus Lemonis (their CEO) used to be what I viewed as a great intellectual and amazing business mind, but the fact that this store (and many other Camper Worlds) have such poor reviews and it is tolerated by their board of directors is appauling. Save yourself a huge migraine and move down the road. I promise you that you will find a better value and better customer service. These guys tried to convince me that the $11,000 difference in price on a Heartland Fifth Wheel versus their competition was justified because of their stellar customer service and extensive "dealer prep". What a load of crap (as clearly evident by all the reviews you are currently reading)! Take heed of reviews. Nonetheless, I ended up buying in Alvarado, Tx at MHSRV. Let me also say that they pretty much suck as well, but for $11,000, I can deal with them being poor at customer service. It was a long 12 hour drive each way but the price was right. I tried to then take my camper to Camper World to have them perform some warranty work. This is what precipitated me to write this lengthy negative review (the first one I have ever done if that puts it in any perspective!). I waited over 3 months for them to finally get me scheduled for an initial inspection. All they wanted to do was to be completely insulting, condescending, and try to make me feel like an ass. I simply left rather than play their game and I am going to make it my mission to do all I can to prevent others from this same treatment. Please.....go buy somewhere else and have it serviced somewhere else. These guys don't deserve your time or money. Literally the worst service- I had to go to the back of the store myself while the 300 lb parts dude sat there refusing to waddle over to help me find the part I needed- back and forth maybe 5 times I brought different products to him to find the right one - I ended googling the part myself to find it and the part #on their secretly coded shelves. We got a couple of things and because we didn't want to spend $29 on their membership and save $10 the clerk rang up our stuff and turned her back on my husband. I came in to ask basic questions about an RV camper and there's about 25 employees in the store but not a single one knows anything about any product they only work on the computers they've never installed anything, zero training, and they can't help locate anything in the store. As first time RV buyers, all of the staff at Camping World were friendly, helpful and full of information! Andrew, our salesman, was extremely helpful. He listened to our budget restrictions and plans for our future camper, and was able to narrow down our search significantly. No need for us to wonder aimlessly through a million trailers! He showed us a variety of campers within our specifications until we found the perfect trailer for us, a 2017 White Hawk. While originally a little over our budget, Chris from the finance team was able to help us find a financing option that worked well for us. During the walk-thru of our trailer, our Technician, Wally, showed us every nook and cranny of our trailer while telling us small tips and tricks about trailer maintenance. The process was quick, easy and very informative. All-in-all, we had a great experience purchasing our trailer and would recommend this business to any of our family and friends! Well, couldn't even make it into the store because terrible customer service started from just a simple phone call. I had been searching online for a particular tent, and saw they carried some at the Golden location. I drove here, was confused about parking, so I decided to call. I talked to a woman who was nice and redirected my call to the specific department. I asked the guy if he carried tents at this location. He replied WHAT!? Like I was the most annoying person he'd ever spoken with. I repeated myself and he replied again saying yes, we have some but very limited. I said okay great, I'm here and asked him where the best place to park (because the lot is full of RVs for sale). He snickered and asked me, "You want to know where to park?" with a sarcastic and demeaning tone. I kindly said "Nevermind, I will take my business elsewhere. Thank you". I read reviews before coming and I can see why so many people had a terrible customer service and experience. Didn't even need to walk through the doors to know that I would not be helped. The guy may have been confused or having a bad day, but by previous reviews, it seems like bad customer service is just the culture here. read more

I am so dissatisfied that I am going to take the hour or so it is going to take me to write this. I hope people read this and take their business elsewhere as this store doesn't deserve customers. My wife and I purchased new a 2016 Palomino SolAire Ultra Lite 267BHSE trailer in Spring of 2016. We brought our camper into Camping World around late Sept/early Oct of 2016 for some warranty work. We asked Camping World to fix a few minor issues. Those include interior trim that had come loose, microwave that was not attached correctly, TV mount that had failed, dining table hinges that broke off of table, and the refrigerator panel that would not stay on refrigeration. The table itself was fine; however the bracket on the back that attached to the wall had broken. We were told it would take a month or two to resolve...this was fine for us as it was end of season and we likely wouldn't use it again. Early 2017 I get a call from Lou stating everything was completed except the table as they had to order parts to fix it. In Jan of 2017 I go to pick up the trailer as Lou had stated the warranty work was completed. I show up and my camper has to be pulled out. So I wait for at least an hour or so for them to get the camper out so I could take it home. The bring the camper out and I go to hook it up and realize the hitch is now too high as i had recently purchased a new truck. My new F250 sat much higher thus there was no way for me to hook it up. I go back inside and tell Lou I need some help as the camper will not attach to my hitch. He tells me that they will have to charge me to reset the height on my hitch. (Keep in mind we are talking 2 bolts needing moved). Being I had no tools there was no way at that time I could do it.....so I sat in the parking lot for about an hour trying to figure out what to do. I then head back in and tell Lou we are talking about 2 bolts and unless he helped me there was no way for me to move the camper. After sitting there waiting Lou finally came outside to see what the problem was. He finally called one of his workers driving the forklift to come and set the camper on my hitch so i could drive away. 3-4 weeks later I get a phone call from Lou stating he needed photos of my table so he could get the correct part from Forest River. This was frustrating as he had my camper for months and could have easily taken one during the 3+ months he had it. Keep in mind the camper is not stored at my location; thus I have to then drive 40+ minutes to where it is stored to take the picture. So I have no choice but to make the 40 min drive there to get the picture and then 40 minutes home. In April of 2017 I finally hear from Lou that the table has arrived. My family had a trip planned for memorial weekend so I decided to drive 45 min drive out on May 24 to pick up the table. I show up at Camping World and tell Lou I am there to pick up the table. He tells me that in order for me to get the new table I have to give him the old broken one which I didn't have with me. I ask him if there is anyway for me to take the new one and then bring the old one back in a week. I even offer to give him my credit card and tell him to charge me for the new one if I didn't bring the old one back within a week. He tells me no..there is nothing he can do to help me and that I have no choice but to come back. So the next day (May 25th) I drive out to my storage lot which is 40 min from my house, and then I drive another 30-40 min out to Camping World. I carry the table in and tell Lou I am here to pick up the table. He calls the back department and tells me it will be a few minutes while they find it. 45 minutes later I am still sitting there waiting. I ask Lou if it would be easier for me to go in the back and help find it. He tells me in a very rude and condescending voice "GO AHEAD. There are THOUSANDS of tables back there. Go find it.". So I wait. 30 minutes later they arrive with my table. As i mentioned earlier the table wasn't the problem..it was the hinges that attach to the table. Of course, the table they bring me has no hardware on it thus making the table they brought me useless. I am very upset as we were scheduled to leave the next day for the SandDunes. Lou tells me I have no choice but to wait another 2 weeks for the right parts to show up. I ask him how is this possible when you had my camper and clearly saw the issue was not the table it was the hinges. Lou VERY RUDELY states" Why don't you call Forest River and ask the why they sent us the wrong parts?". I tell him this is complete BS as it was his job to manage the process. I then proceed to tell him he is the rudest person I have ever dealt with by a service related company. I grabbed the table and left. In summary, my table is still broken, the trim was not fixed 100% (still have issues), my refrigerator panel fell off my first trip out, and I had to spend hours myself fixing the table. read more

We brought our trailer in for Warranty work on Jan 23rd 2017. They kept it for over a week. Then said they had to order parts from Jayco We were assigned Louis Baca as our go between. He never did anything for us. I had to call him or email him every time we wanted an update. Then come to find out from Jayco the parts were never ordered until March 3rd. So then we waited. Finally at the beginning of April I called Louis with no reply again. So I called Jayco. They said the parts were on order and should be in around 7 days.I contacted Louis several times to ask if the parts were in and he always said no, we will let you know when they do. Finally after two weeks of that I contacted Jayco and they said the parts were delivered on April 14th and was signed for. I again contacted Louis and told him he needs to find them. Well, after a couple days they did find them and we took our RV in on May 1st and left it there as Louis said it would take 5 days. On May 5th I emailed Louis to ask if the work was done and no answer. Then on May 6th we got a phone call in the morning saying our RV was ready to be picked up. We checked it out there as best we could and noticed the carpet they installed was a different color than the rest of the carpet. We will address that with them today. I would hesitate to purchase an RV from them or have any Warranty work done because they have no clue as to how to organize and perform warranty work. I'm sure their Service Dept needs a complete overhaul .. read more

I did read the reviews, and went to CW anyway, due to the issue that they had the Motor Home we wanted, and at the price we were willing to pay. BIG MISTAKE. I would have been happier with a lesser MH, due to the Shi! service CW provides. I had over $6000.00 of extras added to the MH. Of course they messed up the installation of those items beyond belief.I was able to "fix" several of the items they messed up, like a expensive solar charging panel that came loose and flapped in the wind the first time out. But I have not yet been able to fix the electrical issues they have caused. All batteries discharge regardless of whether anything is plugged in, even when the MH it's self is plugged into shore power. I called the Service Dept. many times over a three day period, only to be but on hold and never picked up, or simply hung up on without speaking. I even went to the store, and left all my information. I was told that I would be contacted first thing the next morning. That was several days ago. Guess what, no call. They really should be ashamed of themselves, and ashamed to work at such a company. End message! Listen to these reviews, and find another place to purchase a Motor Home, or get service. CW is simply not worth it. read more

Everything is good during the sale, but when you need service you are out of luck. Worst service I have ever seen anywhere for campers or cars. Brand new Class B camper with multiple problems. Took months for them to fit us in. Also have a safety recall and was told in July that they would had to get it authorized to fix and they would call us back. It is over 3 months later and no call, no email, nothing. Called today and was told the usual line from the Customer Service Center, that our rep Sean was out to lunch. Every time we call for this guy were told he's out to lunch. Doesn't that say something? Told he would call me back today regarding this warranty because the "parts were not in yet". I'm guessing he never did anything with this, how could a SAFETY recall not have parts in yet. That's a huge liability on the company. My next call is to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which is noted on the recall letter from Thor. I advise anyone at looking to buy at this place to go elsewhere. read more

Take your business elsewhere! I regret not looking up reviews prior to purchasing. Looks like the BBB rating is an F. I will warn any friends and family to stay far away from this place. They were extremely unresponsive and unprofessional in every step of the process. It must be a terrible place to work, since every time I have an issue they blame it on someone quitting and so they are short staffed. When I first picked our trailer up, I had an appointment in the morning to meet with the finance department. I was there for over 5 hours waiting to complete all of the paperwork. Next step was getting my registration once the temp tags expired. Unfortunately, when I went to the DMV, Camping World had failed to send the necessary paperwork to complete my registration. That required a number of phone calls and an additional trip to the DMV. Once we actually started taking the trailer out camping, we realized just how poorly constructed everything was - brake system was not connected properly, bathroom door fell off, almost all of the drawers broke at some point throughout the season, the "in command" system that controls the slide/awning/lights was not installed properly so it only worked sometimes, interior paneling came off, bunk bed stairs came loose, the screen doors were not installed correctly so they would not stay closed. We scheduled an appointment to complete the warranty work at the beginning of October 2018. At the end of January 2019, they called us to come pick it up, but when we did, we noticed that half of the items were not complete. They called us back at the beginning of February and stated that now everything was complete. We went to pick up, and as expected, they had not fixed all warranty items. This time I was told that they would need to contact the warranty company (7-10 days), order parts (6-8 weeks) and then they could fix the remaining items, which would take "a couple of weeks" for them to find a tech to work on it. I called them three weeks later to check if the warranty company had approved the items, and they told me that it had not even been submitted yet since my service rep had quit (I am now on my third service rep). They have known about all of the warranty items since I dropped the camper off in October, and the current timeline has them finishing the repairs in May. I have no idea how they think it is acceptable that they take 8 MONTHS to complete repairs. I wish I could go back in time and purchase somewhere else. Camping World is an absolute joke! read more

I purchased a used RPOD from a neighbor and took it to camping world, Golden Colorado, for a tune up. Lonnie is a great sales man to get me to invest in the best and most expensive tune-up package and buy the yearly membership. Was told it would be 7 days for pickup but it took 15 days to receive a call that it was complete. I also requested an interior detailing which was not done whatsoever. They had me pay for the cleaning and then had to refund me when i came back in. The response was that "our cleaning techs must have the wrong understanding of clean". Horrible response! The shady experience left me feeling that all the work done on my RPOd was subpar and not worth the $1600 expense. Will find a new company to service my camper in the future. read more

Used to almost always find items on website cheaper, though store would match if you could show them proof (don't know since acquired by Sam's Club, however, unable to 'search' specific items on website as before). I try to purchase from other online sources if at all possible. read more

This review is solely in regard to the retail portion of the store - not service or RV sales. I went in to buy a few items for my motor home. No one was available to help me locate these items, and, when I was ready to check out, no one was available to do that. I asked the Parts desk if I could pay for my items there (there were 3 parts reps - one on the phone, the other two sitting at the counter looking bored), but the answer was no, I couldn't check out with them. I left my items on the unmanned checkout counter and left the store. I won't be returning - it's a long drive from Centennial, CO where I live, and I'd rather drive down to the store in Fountain than go back the Golden, CO location. read more

I recently showed interest in a Forest River Forester. Got a response from a salesman who told me to ask any questions and he'd be glad to help me out. I emailed him with several questions. Haven't heard back from him at all. But this is a trend no matter what RV company I contact. I got zero response from Lazy Daze in California and a half-hearted response from Phoenix Cruisers in Indiana. With as much competition as there is in the RV world you would think that these folks would be dying to give good service. Oh wait -- we're living in 2018 where service is a thing of the past. read more

After 3 unsuccessful trips to this location to buy a 42ft fifth wheel, we finally went out of state to buy! This is absolutely the WORST sales experience I have EVER had. They have inventory to look at, but NO sales people to help you, all the RV's are locked and the Sales Manager is to lazy to get off his butt and help customers, so you can't even browse! Inventory is scattered all over the lot, and packed in so tight, IF you actually find what you are looking for, YOU CANT GET IN IT to look! They are RUDE, unprofessional,unorginized and don't want to lift a finger to EARN your business. If you want to be treated bad, pay too much and get no product information, go here. When I first started looking for a toyhauler I found one at Camping World Denver, it was at a good price. While I was looking at the Road Warrior I noticed the hydraulic jack was leaking on it I asked if it would be repaired if I decided to buy it, they said yes. I finally decided to buy it in July. the oil was cleaned up and my salesman Jacob told me it was repaired. While I was doing the walk through they lifted the jacks and then some oil ran down the cylinder. I asked about if it had been repaired, the man doing the walk through went inside their shop and two men that work there came out and assured me it was repaired. It was not repaired, now I have a big puddle of oil the jack is sitting in and the unit is starting to bleed down, it may not be a big deal to them that they lied to me, now I have to set up an appointment to bring it in for repair, and any additional costs that come with it, no its not that big of a deal but had I known I was lied to I would not have purchased this unit, or any other from this dealer. read more

Our initial buying experience was TURRIBLE (I definitely did mis-spell that. I hope you said it in your head like i did:) They did help us out of a stick situation with needing to sell a much larger camper that we were upside down on (didn't realize they depreciate like cars...), but the process to buy took FORever. Also, they agreed to fix 2-3 things we identified during our walkthrough that never happened. So they lied. We were also constantly told "tomorrow" for just about everything. We finally said "enough" and just took the camper without the agreed upon repairs. It's too much of hassle with these people. That said, we were fairly happy with our camper once we had it. About 6 months later a window blew out of the camper so we had to bring it in to have the warranty people work on it. That was Sept 5. It's now Nov 19. They ordered the wrong window (that took about 6 years too long in the first place), so now we're still waiting for the correct one to be installed. I was told on Nov 1 that "they're expected to work on it this week" and its STILL not done. I really get the feeling that these people just don't really care about their customers because every step of the way I've felt dismissed and put on the back shelf. You know how no one likes to be the corner. It's a thing. I've seen that movie. We really need it back today so we're going to have to settle on getting it back UNFIXED. Hopefully they actually have the window in and weren't bluffing and we'll just do it ourselves. I will NEVER bring my camper back to this place. I don't care how much it costs to fix it, even if it is a fix that the warranty would cover. Please go somewhere else for your camper needs. This place will not make you feel valued. I posted a fairly negative review a few months ago. Camping World turned my bad experience around. Patrick took amazing care of us and we are now the proud owners or a Class C! They still have some work to do over there, but they are worth the visit. read more

I would give a zero if possible. Worst customer service ever. Bobby in the repair shop is beyond rude. Unhelpful and condescending. Buying a new trailer should be a fairly straight forward process. Instead, they delivered something dirty, and flawed. Their motivation to remedy the situation is zero. Will never buy from them again. read more

My husband and I purchased a camper at the 2018 camper show and arranged to pick it up from Camping World on the 17th of January. Upon our walk through we discovered the awning light to be broken. We were told they would file a warranty claim to resolve the issue. Since this time we have gone back and forth with the Dudley in the service department (when Dudley feels like being responsive) about the status of our warranty claim. He claimed they were waiting for approval from the manufacturer. My husband called this morning and was told that they didn't even enter the claim until 2/14, which was approved this morning by the manufacturer. If you want to buy a camper and expect any service after the sale, find a different place. Once they have your money, you are not a priority to them. read more

Do not waste your time here. The sales woman we worked with was rude, didn't respond, and left for vacation in the middle of our sale for a motorhome and didn't even tell us she was leaving. We cancelled our sale and went somewhere else. Do not go here read more
