They have refused to refund any portion of our deposit, saying they can keep it because of costs they incurred. I'm picking up my 2018 camper, that we bought brand new, today after multiple visits concerning a furnace issue. It's a loooooooong story. But I'm hoping it's FINALLY fixed! Mathew, the GM, has been working with me closely and promised a brand new furnace if we can't get this one to work right. Do not do business with this company. If you're buying a RV/trailer from them, be sure to have your personal mechanic/technician do a walkthrough. The techs concealed a non-functioning AC unit. When I brought it home and tried to turn it on for the first time, it was already toast. They make misrepresentations that all systems are operational, but when requested to run the AC on the lot, they told me they couldn't run it there due to power constraints? I take it back in and they want over $2k to replace the unit - no discount, no assistance. I'm a lawyer who hates being taken advantage of and legally wronged, so I'm filing a lawsuit in small claims court against Jacob Gaspari and the tech who did the walkthrough regarding the misrepresentations and fraud committed during the process. Had a "guaranteed buy value" for my motorhome from Good Sam, which turns out to be just another used car sales scam to lure in unsuspecting suckers for their had sell. Gerard offered $63-68 M and when asked about the guaranteed value of $81,700, stated he "would knock that down" by finding everything that detracted from "showroom condition". In other words a used coach has to show no wear and be in new condition to qualify for the "guaranteed" value. The want a minimum of 40% margin for a coach that books at $103,000 NADA average resale. Don't bother going to Good Sam--they did not do anything but have Patrick, the sales manager, reiterate their "like new" fine print and ignore emails thereafter. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We bought a brand new 2018 motorhome. When we did the walk through and noticed some issues- the sales guy said oh, stove isn't working because you need a ss pan, other things not working because it hasn't been driven. We foolishly took the motorhome off the lot and went camping for 5 days. Numerous issues- hear didn't work, stove, slide, and on and on. We took it right back on day 6. They have had it ever since! 13 months! They say it's fixed and we send a inspector out and it's not fixed. In the 13 months they have had this they fixed a few items on the list- that's it. And. While it's sitting on their lot they didn't drain water out of pipes (like they said they did and in writing) and the pipes froze! Today, they said it was ready and guess what- it's not! I have two separate experiences which I will detail. My husband and I bought our first RV a few weeks ago from James (salesman) and he was great, very informative and created an experience that I would have shared with the world. However, my next experience will shut the door to ever returning to this place. In relation to my new RV, I needed to obtain a tow bar. I went to the location and called several times to only one person who can help (who is never there) Kevin. Nope, still have not heard from him. Instead, my husband and I return to the store and talk to someone in the Parts Department for assistance for the additional purchase. The man behind the counter was absurdly disrespectful, rolling his eyes and literally pushed me aside to work with the persons behind me. He literally told me that they did not sell the item, talked down to me as if I was less than human at which time, I grabbed my husband to speak with him. Guess what? They did sell them and can only be obtained from "Kevin". I am a highly educated woman and found this Parts guy repulsive. There is a reason why these jokers get 2 of 5 stars. Complete lack of respect for their customers time. I recently purchased a used pop-up trailer for my family to use for camping. We used it a few times and discovered a few issues. In order to even get camping World's service department to even inspect the vehicle and perform their "45 point inspection" they had to schedule me for a month out. While this was disappointing being that it was the middle of camping season I got the delay. When I went to drop the trailer off, the guy who was supposed to be helping me wasn't even there. He scheduled a service call on a day he was off! The other employee took my trailer and said "Brady" would call me. Never heard from Brady. Had to call him and leave several messages. Finally when Brady gets around to returning my messages I learn that it could be up to two weeks simply to look at the trailer, let alone fix something. How in the hell do you schedule someone a month out AND then still need two weeks to inspect and repair? It's insane. Brady never set these expectation correctly on this ridiculous turn around for a minor service and instead of taking the time to explain ignored me and my requests for information. Left messages for the store and service manager and they never returned my calls either. Losers. Poor customer service is the root of many negative feelings Americans have about dealerships and these guys might have set a gold standard. I would love to give this negative stars. Bought a brand new 37 foot Coleman camper. First trip our sliding door fell off which I had to find a way to re-install because the service department told me they were 3 months out on repair. Somewhat understandable with COVID and all so I fixed it myself. Bought it in the summer only to find out a/c doesn't work. Still suffered through the summer. Fast forward to this last winter. We moved to Florida and before we did we had to live in our camper. What a harsh way to find out your heater doesn't work. Add to that the protective covers over the gears on the awning broke right off. Needless to say I Scheduled a service appointment in October. To which they gave me a date to drop the trailer off of December 15th. I literally flew in from Florida to do this one thing. When dropping off they proceed to tell me they can't test the a/c until the summer. They also tell me once they can diagnose my issues and find a solution, which should be in 2-3 days, I'll need to go and pick up my camper until parts come in. No joke it's been 4 months and I have received no phone call. I've called them multiple times. Left emails. Phone messages. No one has gotten back to me. When I miraculously got a hold of someone 2 months ago the guy on the phone said that nothing, yes you heard that correct, nothing had been done to the "brand new" trailer I bought last summer. I'm hoping sharing an honest review about this horrible company will get someone's attention at camping world. And if there's any Attourney out their reading this I would love to hire you to sue these incompetent idiots as they have my camper in their possession and I'm paying for it. I want 100% of my money back and they can keep the piece of crap they sold me. I will never do business with this company again and you shouldn't either. As Of now you can still not get ahold of camping world. Repair line goes straight to a voicemail of a condescending jerk that literally says, "I get hundreds of voicemails a day and will most likely not get back to you, your best chance at reaching me is to send me an email but no guarantees." Seriously. That's his voicemail. They will sell you a brand new lemon and then not fix all the broken parts. I'm flying back to Denver in 2 weeks. Seems to be the only way to get to someone. We purchased a new satellite antenna for our Class A and booked an appointment for them to install it. When making the appointment we asked the service advisor (Lonnie) if they could be a bit extra cautious with the carpet as we had done a major spring cleaning. His comment was "oh we don't have any booties". Should have been a sign. When we picked it up we immediately saw some black grease stains on the drivers carpet and on the doghouse carpet. Really disappointing but it was late in the day and we just took it back to storage. A week later we went to use it and extended the bedroom slide (another satellite receiver is in there), and the bedroom carpet had 15-20 black grease stains in front of the receiver! I'd post a picture of it if I could. I left a voice mail and sent an email to Kevin, the person who sold us the antenna, and not surprisingly, no reply. You could take the oldest most beat up vehicle to a car dealer and they wouldn't treat it like Camping World treats your coach. It's a pity you have to leave at least one star - they don't rate it. Also rude sales people in general except for 1 or 2 if they manage to keep on working for these creeps, especially management. They will tell you your old RV is no good. So what, it's ours, we don't need insults from them. They are rude and will tell you that you won't be able to get parts ANYWHERE. BS! We were in the market for a new one anyway and put down a deposit on one, with a bad feeling doing it, should have listened to gut feeling. Don't do that and then change your mind about buying it. They won't give you your deposit back. They'll just line their own pockets with YOUR money, and tell you a bunch of BS why they won't give you your money back. 2 years later they finally got the parts to me. This only happened because I would not pay a bill for hail damage they fixed while the camper sat in their yard for many months warranty work on a brand new camper. I will never buy from camping world again. The service department could care less about your issues and they have no clue how to deal with the poor, slow service. The service tech Lonnie joked "well, at least we got you the parts." Anyone buying from camping world beware if you buy off the lot, most times they steel parts from like campers to replace on others (This was a tech telling me this) and they damage, scratch other parts in doing so. I just recently found they took the generator out on my unit and replaced it as they are many loose parts not installed lying on the bottom of the trailer. I.E. the electrical boots for the + and - were just laying on the bottom the gen not installed. One partially ripped. I do not trust them to do warranty work as it would take 6 months plus they would most likely damage something else. My trailer has been hit 2 times there and had to go for body work. The company that does their bodywork said most of the busy work is from damage Camping world does to the units moving them around. Please think twice from doing business with these guys. Even if it is buying parts or items in their store. It only supports their business. read more

We were in the market for our first ever travel trailer and found one at Camping World that fit our needs. We were so excited! Until now. The finance department is terrible. Everything about the paperwork has been a nightmare. We're more that three months in and the DMV still hasn't received paperwork for us to get our license plates. The temporary ones are now expired and they admitted that they just sent it to them this week because they are behind. More that three months behind. That's not even the worst part though. We had our trailer parked in the mountains and found out that the bottom of the camper wasn't sealed. This should have been caught during their inspection process because as they say they are the experts. Nope. Now we have a bunch of pack rats living and breeding in our very new camper, it totally reeks, we're spending an extraordinary amount of time killing the rodents, taking the entire camper apart and dealing with exterminators and trying to get the smell out of our new camper. I'll never buy from Camping World again. Wish I would have read reviews beforehand. I truly couldn't be more disappointed with my decision to buy here. read more

Avoid these guys at all cost. If I could zero stars i would. We purchased a $50,000 fifth wheel from them in the spring. It had a few minor issues (I guess this is normal for new RV's) and I brought it in for service. It sat there for a month and they did nothing. I had to pick it up for a trip. I brought it back and they promised me that they'd have the work done for my next trip 3 1/2 weeks from now. I called again one more time a week ago and they re-affirmed it would be ready. The day I was supposed to pick it up, I could not get anyone on the phone and left several messages for them to call me back. Finally I got a hold of someone, and a big surprise - nothing had been done to it! When you buy a fifth wheel from them, they tell you that you get all these advantages when buying from them, including priority service. Regarding Ketelsen (now CampingWorld owner)- Warning!! Do not purchase your camper here!! My husband and I had a great experience with Sales and Financing while purchasing a $55k fifth wheel camper (Fuel 352) until now. The orientation was a waste of time, the tech even said that he knew nothing about our model. Everything we've learned on the camper we had to teach ourselves! Multiple issues within the camper as far as asthetics goes- warped wall, wall paneling falling off, wall panels missing, staples popping off. This is a brand new 2019 model! Service will take weeks to fix now finance is telling us we owe $554 in taxes due to an error made by them in finance! I would not have paid one more dime for this camper then or now. I've attempted to get a hold of GM Don for almost 2 weeks now and have yet to receive a call back. I will be reaching out to camping world as well although Ketelsen can not provide me with contact information for anyone at corporate. Buyers beware!! read more

We put a down payment on a 2004 Keystone Sprinter March 11, 2020. They didn't give us any paper work (needed vin#) but took $1,000 down. Tried to contact Andrew many many days in a row during this time span. Andrew finally called us and wanted full payment and we paid April 24, 2020 over the phone. The receipt had a vin#. We purchased a 5th Wheel from Camping World in Golden Colorado in February 2018. From the sales lady to the service department to the parts counter...worst experience ever!!!! It sickens me that the sales lady made one penny off of us!! Then onto the service department, they didn't clean or wash it or set up the auto level for us. Delivered it with no plates on it and they lost the cord (how do you loose a 50 amp cord??) took us three trips up there for a the correct cord. Then we were stupid enough to think they would know what 5th Wheel hitch we needed for our new truck. WRONG!!! They sold us the wrong hitch. Bought an RV from them early August and while they were good with matching some very aggressive pricing from out of state dealers, that's where the good ends. Upon delivery and walking through there were numerous very obvious things that needed fixing that they clearly just ignored and hoped we wouldn't notice. There was no way they couldn't have seen these issues when they prepped it for delivery. As for the walk-through with the technician it was a waste of time. We showed him more things about the unit than he did us. Then, they felt it was appropriate to send out a unit with all tanks empty. It took 3 requests to get them to fill the propane after each time being told it was done. Again, I'm guessing they hoped we'd leave without checking. The water tank never was filled, we just gave up on that since we can do it for free anyway. Then, we left failing to check one last thing and we were reminded as the fuel light came on 10 miles away. Some might think these are small things but when one spends $90k plus the small things should be automatic. Reading the rest of the reviews clearly the service dept and general customer service is lacking! read more

We will never shop there again and hopefully we can find a place for warranty work elsewhere. We bought a 2018 new Motorhome and took it in for warranty work. They made us an appointment and we took it in on that day. Three months later we were told that we were 8th in line for repairs. Our service representative had no interest in getting our vehicle done. When we finally got to pick up the Motorhome, only 4 of the 8 items were actually fixed. We took the motorhome in perfectly clean. When we got into it to bring it home, we found dirty wet footprints all over the floor, there was debris laying all over (razor blade, staples, etc.) We complained so they cleaned it up a little. Our service representative was rude and could care less about our concerns. We would never recommend anyone buy a vehicle from Camping World, Golden, CO. We rated this business one star only because there was no option for "no stars". read more

I am normally not one to spend time writing reviews... but in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought that credit should be given to Camping World Golden for the superb service my family has received from them. First of all, we spent many months visiting many, many RV retailers, researched online RV sites and RV community blogs as well. We researched RV quality, RV models, RV construction and price points. We finally came to the conclusion that we wanted an travel trailer that had bunkbeds, semi private master room, fiberglass siding, slide out that was easy to pull (wide wheel base, i-beam frame, and max length of 30ft.), quality interior, covered underbelly, etc. Our search narrowed it down to 3 different RV's models that what we decided would be a perfect fit for our family. We then revisited the retailers that carried these models to discuss price. There was a lot of price haggling back and forth with a few of these places... and one that wouldn't work with us on price at all. Camping World Golden did not have the Keystone Bullet 230BHS which was at the top of our list because it was a west coast model. But when we spoke to the floor salesman, Ryan E., he was quick to sell us one that would arrive at the dealership in a short time. He was straight forward/no nonsense. And we found that the Sales Manager, Eric, was also the same way. There was no good guy-bad guy experience that we have experienced at some other dealers. The Bullet arrived in a shorter time than expected. We inspected it with Sam, the service tech. He fixed anything that needed adjusting and gave us an orientation of how to use everything. We did request the grill propane line to be relocated to the back as it was shown on the website so that we could use the grill arm that extends off the back. The manager could have very well chose to do cheap fix to save them a lot of expense and hassle of ordering parts... but he took in to consideration the safety of my family and made sure that it would be covered under warranty at any Camper World if we ever had to take it in in the future. He did not cut corners! The sales people at the retail store at this location are very friendly and helpful. The store has a wide variety of useful items that you will need and some that you will just want to have. The prices are competitive and being a member of Good Sam' Club will save you even more on retail items, services, campground fees, roadside assistance, etc. I think it is around $20 a year. After 2 months of using our trailer... and going all the way from Colorado to the Grand Canyon in it... We are loving our new Bullet travel trailer. We are pulling it with the new revolutionary Andersen weight distribution anti-sway hitch which we absolutely love. Silent, no popping, easy to attach/take off, light-weight, better turning radius, etc. I researched the heck out of these too. Since it is a newer product, I couldn't find a dealer that sold these nearby. Five-R in Golden was nice enough to order this for us. I am writing this positive review to thank Lou Baca in the service department. I purchased a new unit last winter from this CW location and didn't take it out for several months. On my first trip in the Spring I had a slide issue. After I contacted Lou he got me an appointment the same week and fixed the slide motor in the following week. Wasn't pleased my new unit had these issues, but that is not his fault. I also recently brought my unit back in for its first round of warranty work. My list was quite extensive. Lou and I didn't agree on everything on the list. However, I trust his judgement and feel as though he is proving me the straight story on how the process works with the manufacturer and what the best steps forward. I will follow-up to this post when I get the unit back. In the meantime I would not hesitate to recommend both him and this service department as the customer service I have received has been great. read more
