If I could rate this company less than one star, I would do it. Our sales representative was amazing, but everything else beyond that was a complete joke. They titled my camper in the name of my cosigner, not me, creating a complete headache because my cosigner lives in Ohio not Indiana where I live. This has created a complete mess in terms of the titling. Furthermore, when I picked up my camper, everyone on site acted like they had no idea who I was even though I dropped $25,000 on a new RV from their store. They have been completely unhelpful since then. It seems as though they love taking your money, but once they receive it, you are on your own. I called sales staff and made an offer on an internet listed one year old used Toy Hauler. Offer was accepted, I put down $500 deposit to hold camper, I had also purchased a one time warranty systems check and glad I did because they had to replace the A/C unit. I traveled in my truck from Reno to Indy and when I got to Camping World they hooked up the trailer and took care of the paper work super fast. I was back on the highway back to Reno and I saved several thousand bucks. read more

Do not use their service department! Terrible. They have had my RV for weeks and still have not done one thing to repair it. I had to call them and get an update. Also if they tell you there is a diagnostic fee of $165, believe it. Not just for diagnosing the RV but a new fee for every single thing that you want repaired. Even things that you want checked that ARE NOT BROKEN. Want a new screw in the wall? Minimum of $165 if you decide to not put that screw in the wall. It's a racket. Absolute worst buying experience. Our salesman Mitch was pushy and told us we were "nitpicking" the campers. They sold us a different camper than the one we looked at so we had no idea what was actually wrong with it until we brought it home. We've had it less than a week & it has a laundry list of things wrong with it. I have emailed them several times and called them & they are stating it will be 4 weeks until it can be fixed. 4 weeks for a camper that we have had less than 1 week. No hot water, rip in the screen, trim pieces that are off so doors won't close, fridge is broke.. the list goes on & on. Do yourself a favor & buy from someone else. Terrible custom service. We bought a brand new camper and the furnace failed. Greenwood Camping World turned in the request to Jayco to fix it as well as other warrent work. The thing is they never touch our camper. Greenwood even mailed my husband a furnace part and told him to fix it himself. They even sent emails on how to install the peice! They turned in a bill to Jayco and were paid!!!! The only way we finally found this out is because we then had to go to Richmond Camping World. In the end we still have a furnace that does not work and the other work they did complete left my camper in worst shape then when I took it to them. Richmond location did "repairs". We bought a BRAND NEW 2021 Forest River/heritage Glen trailer for our retirement. Refrigerator went out within 2 months. HORRIBLE warranty system. Will be WEEKS before we get a new one even with following instructions to the letter. Service department hasn't been very good at best, basically very poor. We had to purchase another refrigerator as a replacement until service department can get an ok from the manufacturer to replace this lemon. Then we wait for the service department has to order ( weeks we were told) then service department finding a time for us to come in and set it in. Oh, by the way, we live in our unit. This company's requirement is to leave the unit, get diagnosed ( 24 hour turn around) and then fixing the issue ( another 24 hour turn around). Where shall we stay? Guess they don't care much after they get your money. Would I buy here again, knowing how service department runs? I'd have to really check my other options ( and there are MANY) first. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I found a camper on offer up communicated with a sales agent had an appointment to see it drove all the way out there upon arrival they couldn't even open it. The next day they had it popped open for us to see it but it was still missing a crank they went ahead and sold it to us anyway promising to have it ready for pick up the next day. We paid for it cash Went back to pick it up the next day and it turned out they never even had the title for it. So they sold us a camper without having a title. They tried to offer us a more expensive camper we refused to buy anything from them ever. It took them 1 hour just to give us our money back. Unprofessional and just a ridiculous situation! We purchased a used travel trailer from Greenwood Camping World recently that was clearance listed for $27,000, but by the the time they were done adding on things we didn't ask for and that were never explained to us for consideration, that $27,000 magically turned in to $45,000 plus interest. Now we own a very expensive used trailer. I wish I had read all the reviews about this place before doing business with them. Worst experience ever! Like so many others who have posted here, we have had nothing but problems, numbering over 70 items. Some of the more concerning range from numerous water leaks to the engine hood not staying latched while we are traveling down the interstate. We have a Thor Challenger with opposing slides that do not work. Mixed reviews for Camping World in Indianapolis - great building and location with a fairly good selection of supplies and RV's. Camping World in Indianapolis suffers similar staffing problems as other businesses - lack of talent. Unseasoned young kids steering you in the wrong direction, gross lack of customer skills, dysfunctional managers are a riot to listen to (great laughs) however, these all add up to an ugly experience in which we will avoid in the future. read more

I called about my Winnebago Pure 3 Volta system and the service department has never heard of one. Was curious about camping worlds profit margins so I asked them if they would buy my Highwall Popup camper (NADA valued at 12k and in this market could easily bring in 15k). They offered me 4k for it lmao. Therefore, if you are reading this post, and have a pop up camper you're considering selling or trading to camping world; I WILL BUY IT FOR 50% MORE than whatever camping world is offering. I think its absolutely ridiculous. They are driving the market up and causing inflation. Here's the review you all wanted so badly.... Sales rep was nice, but rushed us and was not transparent about pricing. Finance guy was nice but a bit pushy. Face-to-face, experience was fair, otherwise, a poor experience. We waited over 3 hours (while I was in work scrubs and explained it was urgent I got back to work). They ran my credit score 3x and my partner's credit score 3x. His 804 credit score is now below 800, thanks alot. During financing, they somehow switched my address with my partner's address and the paper work was all wrong. After almost 3 hours, we said "screw it" as we didn't want to wait for them to make the changes again. (I had to leave to get lunch as we were there for 4 hours). When we picked up the RV for inspection to take home, we waited 50 minutes past our appointment time, again, making me late for work. We were scheduled this 11AM time as they said we would be done with walk-thru and inspection by 12:30pm. The gentlemen completing the walkthrough apologized for the time delay and he did well explaining and showing us the RV. However, whenever we were ready to pull it off the lot, no one offered assist to hook it up to the truck (even though we expressed we were first time travel trailer owners), then left the septic drain open and latches open after the walk-through. It would have taken them an extra 10 seconds of good customer service to help out a customer who just dropped major cash at your business. In the store when attempting to ask questions, we felt rushed and unappreciated (after searching for someone to speak with for 15 minutes). We feel we got a good deal on our travel trailer but were not impressed with much else. For overall experience, I would not recommend or come back in the future. I got better customer service at Taco Bell, and felt more appreciate for spending 5 bucks. read more

Bought a brand new Jayco travel trailer in March. They hooked it up to our truck and didn't check the lights. The truck trailer wiring was the problem but they never let us know and we drove off the lot with no brake lights on the trailer. There were also several other issues with the trailer that weren't noticed when they prepped the trailer for delivery to us. One major being that the heater didn't even work from the factory. On one of the trips in for repair they ran something into the side of our trailer and did permanent damage. After 9 months the trailer is still not completely finished. Because they are such a big dealer they don't appear to have much competition and it shows. With the quantity of inventory sold you probably have a decent chance of not having problems like all of us but you should take it into consideration. read more

Make that make sense! No credit was ran nothing was done. This is just what they quoted me. We received an ad from Camping World and as lifetime Good Sam members we were getting a "special" on a new rv purchase according to the ad. when we contacted the dealer (phone as COVID-19 stay at home orders) and spoke to a sales person. He took down our information and we spoke about what we were looking to do as we wanted to trade in our 2013 Coachman. that's where it turned to the worse. we told him we owed a little over 12K on it and we would like to trade it is with them paying it off...he said that was easy just have to find a new RV to put the 12k on. i asked "so you are saying our RV is worth zero and have to put that 12k on a new one" he said "no, no that just how we pay it off then work a deal" ummm no dude i am not stupid you don't put the 12k on top of your advertised price and then do a "deal". i told him just give us what it is worth and we will look from there. he said he would get with his sales manager and see what the worse case value would be since we can't come in until we get the camper out of the storage building. he said he would call us back in a day or so and send us some information via email...12 days go by, i called i got the can we ha e your name and number so i asked if they have me on file and they say no, the salesperson must have forgot to put it into the system. so i go through the whole speal again and get the "ok we can do that but you'll need to come up with a down payment as well have to take what you owe for your trade in and put it on the new one". WHAT the Hell...i could understand if we were 1 or 2K upside down (according to NaDA book we were at 11k clean trade in and $14,500 for outright sale) so i know we are at the most 1K which i could eat to get a bigger rig. being told once again they will reach out tomorrow with the 5th wheels they have that would fit our needs and allow us to pick and go from there...well that was 6 days ago. these people are horrible with no integrity. I am done and will not deal with people who are dishonest or treat a customer like crap. I'll go someplace else and deal with people who are honest as this little deal cost them my trust update: so i contacted the customer service as stated with Camping World response. nice enough people but goes to show big nationwide "superstores" really don't care. small guys need to make sure they are honest and fair or they go under fast. these places have enough money and locations not to care. sad really, became a lifetime good sam camping club member as i liked shopping camping world years ago but now i just don't know because of this experience read more

Looking online at the Greenview IN location's inventory I found a camper that I was interested in. I called the store and confirmed they still had the camper and talked to them about the price they had it posted for. I told them I was interested and would be there in the morning to look at it. They asked if I was willing to put down a $500 dollar deposit to hold it until I looked at it in the morning and I was serious enough about the purchase that I agreed and provided my card info. I got off the phone with an appointment to look at it. 15 min later I receive a phone call from Camping World and they said the price increased by $2000! They said it was an inspection fee and they refused to just not do the inspection because it was "mandatory". They refused to cover the cost of the inspection as well meaning they literally increased the price after I showed interest. The salesman told me if I didn't like the new price then he didn't care if I walked away! A friend of mine called the general manager to talk to him about it. My friend got off the phone and told me the general manager was a d*** and said he didn't care if I bought the camper or not, he'd sell the camper either way and he wasn't going to sell it to me for the price they had it listed for on their website. Terrible customer service. I purchased a new unit that ended up having several issues and they dragged their feet about fixing the issues. I had called several times but it would take them days to get back to me or they just wouldn't call me back. I had emailed the salesman a couple of times about another issue and he has not responded. I purchased a 2006 camper on Sep 30, 2021. The salesman, DJ, told me the floor was soft from the slide being left open. Well, after tearing into the floor to replace it, I found out the camper had been sitting in water somewhere, like a flood. The walls are soaked too. This was not from a slide being left open. I spoke with C W, and they wanted me to let them try to sell it on consignment. A repairman told me it was beyond repair and needed junked. So I am out the money I spent of the camper, and I will have to pay someone to haul it to the junkyard. You would think they would check out campers before they sold them, wouldn't you. I will never do business there again. We will be buying a new camper next year, and it will not be from any Camping World. Oh and I have a friend who use to work in their repair/warranty area. I was told they schedule repairs out two months hoping people will go some where else instead of using them for warranty work. I should have known not to trust these people!!! read more

I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I've never had such horrible customer service anywhere, and being a military family, we've been a lot of places. Multiple unreturned calls/emails (at least 7 calls/messages) including our assigned service advisor, Lindsay Calhoun, the service advisor manager as well as the GM of the store. I finally decided to call Thor and at least got a person to talk to and, hopefully, will help get things repaired without ever having to deal with Camping World again. It's literally like they took our money for a brand new RV, extended warranty (which doesn't do any good if they don't reply to calls) and then decided to go to lunch the rest of the day. Even our sales associate, Jeremy Hall, got his commission and then checked out claiming he couldn't help us. I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB as well as Thor Motor Coach company, they need to know their reputation is on the line as well since they all Camping World to sell their RV's. read more

My score is excellent and they tried to get me to accept a higher rate 9.9 because of my "so called "bad score." My score is 794! Not to mention making huge number of inquiries like 5 for me and for my spouse. Was able to get this elsewhere and with a different dealer minus 2 points. Robbery! Not to mention we drove 3 hours to get there. Time is not a factor. My credit has so many inquiries and they continued into the next day adding more on both of us.:-( They must have put data in wrong or something as we had no issues purchasing one elsewhere. It's just a major deal to get these inquiries off your credit and they had no regard for how they mismanaged things. Never ever use Camping World. read more

If I could give a negative review I would! We have had the worst time with this company. Our sale rep didn't know much or would disappear for a long time while we were there. They agreed to fix the issues with the camper we were wanted. We had issues with the bank so we declined the offer only for them to CASH our deposit after we said no. They came back a few days later with a better offer that we agreed to. We went to pick the camper up only to find out they DID NOT fix any of the stuff we agreed on. This has been a complete nightmare. We have tried several times and left several messages to speak with the GM or a manager in regard to this and we CANNOT get a call back. WE had to call the bank and put a stop on the loan because we cannot get Camping World to fax over the cancellation paper. We have had nothing but a complete run around. I've spent 4 mos trying to get a simple latch for a brand new Jayco I purchased. They consistently don't return phone calls (at least 5 phone calls and 2 emails that weren't returned) and when I went to the counter, no one was there. They weren't sure when somebody could help me and made it a point to express how much they didn't care how long I might have to wait. I also had to wait over 5 hours when I picket it up.
