Stay away!! in May we purchased a Jayco Whitehawk from this facility. Connor was our salesman and did a decent job of trying to find us the right camper for our needs the general manager seem to be a decent guy until you bring problems to the table after you make your purchase once we got the camper home and into our first Destination, we found a plethora of issues that were supposed to be fixed that was never fixed. We brought this to their attention and no one contacted us except for one person in their service department and then we never heard from him again the whole reason we went to blue compass to begin with was because we had heard horror stories about other companies and their service department. What we found was is blue compass is the exact same way as anybody else that you would take or go to to purchase or have a camper fixed they are absolutely the worst in the State of Indiana and I would not recommend once they make the sale you're never thought of again nor will they return phone calls. My wife and I experience with blue compass is a zero the fact that the general manager didn't even contact the customer to see what could be done to rectify the issue tells you everything you need to know unprofessional at the highest level! I was in the area and stopped by Colerain Family RV to look at some RV options. I explained that I was from out of town and likely would not be purchasing here but was hoping to get inside some RVs and take a look. David Webster was more than cordial, courteous and professional and brought me inside at least 5 different RV options. He explained all the details, particularly showing me the key warranty differences between manufacturers, as well as key options, pricing, etc. David was truly professional and low pressure. Horrible experience purchasing my 1st rv. They sold me one with water damage & wanted me to pay 1/2 to fix it. While my rv was in service my $800 Furrian backup camera came up missing. I got no response regarding that. The GM Brandon has no customer service for you after the purchase. they had my new Jayco North Point for 5 weeks and did not fix my A/C unit. Plus someone stole my tire pressure monitor system and a folding rocking chair. Had to return to get it fixed. Then when I got home the kitchen slide would not work. Had to take it back. They told me a wire was defective. Took 5 weeks to get the new wire and they ran it exposed inside my kitchen where it could be seen. I told them that was unacceptable. They told me "too Bad". I called the mechanic a "HACK" because that is what he is. Jennifer and the service manager told me never to come back. I now have an exposed wire hanging on my kitchen wall in a $100,000 RV unit. We picked up the Class C on Wednesday, which was May 3rd. But they show we are paying interest back to April 27th. We paid $999 for them a prepickup check that everything works. Well guess what? Both sinks leak, as well as the water lines near the water pump. The floor is soft in the livingroom. It leaves so much to be desired. Wish I had read the other reviews before going there. read more

I am the type of person to choke food down instead of sending it back, but I cannot sit idly by on this. Bought a new travel trailer from Colerain RV 3 years ago (with extended warranty) 3 years = 17 work orders, cancelled camping trips, hundreds of emails/phone calls, and countless trips to the east side. Over the 3 years, our camper has spent approx 6 months on Colerain's lot for repairs. We are still left with a structurally defective product and may have to take a huge financial hit due to Coachmen's lack of quality controls and Colerain's negligence. I'm hoping Coachmen and Colerain can make this right. read more

Sales people are good, but the service / warranty work is the most horrible experience I've had in terms of dealerships (RV, car, etc). They will NOT answer the phone. They will NOT call you back. They will NOT provide updates. I've had to take off work 3 times to surprise visit them to get answers and the service manager makes up a story that the work will be completed in X amount of time. Then time passes and you have to go through it all over again. For warranty work, you have to contact the manufacturer just to see if this horrible place has done their job. I would NEVER recommend this dealer for service / warranty work. It's almost criminal what they do. read more

Dishonest and disorganized. No one there can keep their lies straight. There was an RV online, we called about it and NOBEL said he would "look into it and call us right back". A week went by with no call so we call back and ask again..he tells us that the camper doesn't exist and he has no idea how it got onto the website? The lady who put everything online calls us and says YES we had the camper bit it sold yesterday (that would have been ours had NOBEL not lied to us)..so we speak with NOBEL again to thank him for lying and costing us the RV..he then claims that the site must have been hacked or something because the camper doesn't exist (though it's still on the site) and they have "no idea" how it is on there and he lies again and says the lady was wrong it didn't sell because it didn't exist. Bottom line is that NOBEL is not so NOBEL..he's a liar that can't keep his Co workers on the same like he has created. Don't deal with this company, and if you do, deal with ANYONE other than not so nobel, NOBLE. read more

I had to wait almost two months to get my camper in for service. It has been now over two months since I took it in. In that time they called me once and I told them to do the repairs necessary. When you call it is very hard to get anyone to answer your call. Do not leave a message because they never answer any messages. I took the camper in due to a roof leak. At home the camper is parked in a carport. It has been raining some lately and I am concerned about possible water damage while it is with them while sitting in an open area. I am frustrated with this place and would not recommend them for any kind of warranty work or any service at all. read more

The service is greatly lacking. Their sales department is obviously not happy doing what they do and you can never reach anyone on the phone. We paid cash for a very expensive trailer and we were treated like an inconvenience. After taking delivery we drove out to camp and immediately noticed that the water heater doesn't operate properly. We called Cole rain and the operator was rude, said she couldn't find anyone to answer our questions, couldn't leave her desk, and "didn't have enough paper to write down" what our question was about the water heater. Who says that!? I truly didn't want to purchase from them but my wife fell in love with the trailer. I will never buy from them again. I will NEVER recommend them. read more

Took delivery of an $84k toy hauler in Sep, discovered quickly that they're quite accomplished at dodging service-after-sale issues. Sales person Christy's early statements that "we'll come take care of that", still haven't been acted upon. Escalated our issues to Colerain Indy manager in Dec, and were told - once again - they're "waiting on parts". Called him again this month, and we're tol that he'd "look into it". Still waiting for HIS call back. We want to hook up and go south for the winter, but these issues have us tethered. Very frustrating experience. It's now almost Feb and we're STILL waiting. In the interim I found old email from sales person "Christy" stating that parts had been on order since 03 Oct. In the nearly 4 months those parts could have WALKED. If it was possible, I'd reassign Colerain of Indy a 1 Star rating based upon the worst customer service after sale - EVER. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of having a couple of "incidents" with our new Super "C" RV... One incident damaged the front (my fault - first ever) and the other damaged the left rear corner (not my fault). I had to quickly become educated in where to go for repairs... RV dealerships, truck dealerships, semi-truck repair facilities. The damaged areas required different skill sets... mechanical in the front, fiberglass in the back, and in the end I had the work done at two different places. Of the numerous shops I visited or called, 11 total, several could not do the work. HOWEVER, NONE OF THEM CHARGED FOR AN ESTIMATE EXCEPT FOR COLERAIN... I was charged $130 for an estimate that took most shops 15 minutes to come up with a quote that ranged from approximately $1000 to $2000 for the fiberglass work. I knew Colerain was on the high side because this was my last stop, and then I was told I owed them $130. There is no doubt I was visibly shocked so the Service Manager quickly added that the $130 would go toward the repair work. There were no signs posted that I saw stating there was a fee charged for estimates, nor was I told prior to handing over my keys. This is wrong, its deceptive. I'm giving this 2 stars since their sales and parts department is very good and will call you back. We will never take our camper back to their service department, however. We ordered our 2930RL Solitude back in November 2019. Once this arrived in Indianapolis, we drove down from Lafayette to see it. We discovered that their service department had scuffed up our rear awning (due to them moving it) and creased the bottom edge of our entry door (due to the steps not being set properly). They explained that these will be replaced and has apologized to us. Since the damage would not interfere with our summer camping plans, we pulled it home, a couple of weeks later. During the time we had it home and before we left in June for our first camping trip, we called Colerain often to check on our parts. They never came in, so we instructed Colerain that we will drop it off in August to have the warranty work done (parts should definitely be there by then). So, after much fun with our new RV, we dropped it off 8/8/2020. While we were there, we found out that the parts still has not arrived. I don't understand why they can't get parts and we were able to do some upgrades (especially Lippert components) and get these parts in a few days from Amazon. Anyway, after getting more and more frustrated and calling them over and over, Jennifer (service manager) called me and apologized. She had found our lost material requisition from March. OUR PARTS WERE NEVER ORDERED! We continued to call (a couple of times a week). 3 weeks went by, then Jennifer called up my wife (probably did not want to talk to me). THEY LOST ANOTHER TICKET! PARTS WERE NEVER ORDERED AGAIN! Once these parts came in (early October), Jennifer called us that it should be ready to pick up soon. When we were told,it was ready (mid October), we drove down to pick it up and were very excited. We met up with Jennifer there and she took us around the back side of their shop (outside). The first thing we discovered was that our battery was completely dead. They had to hook up portable power so we can check out everything. The battery disconnect was never pulled. The next thing that was wrong was the Lippert blind that we had purchased and installed on the old door was never transferred to the new door. Colerain had installed a generic window, not the original and a cheap blind that you can see thru. When we tried to raised it up, it would wrinkle up and not raise up neatly as the Lippert did. The last thing that was wrong was a broken license plate light bracket at the rear of the camper. That was NOT broken when we dropped it off! DID THEY THINK WE WOULD NOT NOTICE THESE THINGS! So, we went back home without the camper extremely mad at this point. While we were waiting for them to fix these "new" issues, I instructed Colerain to winterize it, since it's starting to drop below freezing at night. We don't know how long this is going to take to fix. I talked to Greg (another person in the service dept) about the condition of the battery. He agreed to install a new battery in it. It has been extremely difficult to get the service department to return calls. Finally, in early December we were able to pick it up. While walking through the camper, it was filthy! NOT how we gave it to them. Muddy foot prints on the toilet flusher, antifreeze spilled on the counter top, and just debris everywhere they worked. And two of the things we asked to have fixed for warranty work, they said nothing was wrong. One was a drip at the bottom of the shower fixture that had already left a mark on the chrome from the water leaking, and the second was a simple "V snap" that held the awning in a certain position, that was just a bad part, not made correctly. A very easy and cheap part that they never even looked at. While settling up our ticket, they had us pay $105 to winterize it. Normally I would have contested this, since it was their fault for having it so long. They also tried to charge us for a part we did not order, and was clearly part of the warranty work. We refused to pay for it and the guy who checked us out kept saying it was on our bill and we must have ordered it. The part was a magnetic catch. Also there were 2 customers walking around with no masks, and Colerain employees did not say a word to them. I just wanted out as quickly as I can, so I paid for the winterizing. I would advise everyone to take your RV somewhere else. Anywhere else! I have already reached out to Grand Design about this. Hopefully, they can encourage Colerain to get some management on their staff that will do something. This service department is the worst I have ever seen!! Bill W. read more

From the front door receptionist, to the sales team, to service, and up to the manager, they all work well together and seem happy to be there. My husband bought me a Rpod 180 for my wedding Anniversary in December, it set in the yard all winter. First time out the hot water heater did not work. Called for an appointment several times know one would pick up in sevice. After several times of calling just took it up there with no appointment. 6/05/18 Talked to Greg he said it would not take long. Told them we had a camping trip planed and need it in two weeks he said not a problem. It is now July 11/18 and they still have not got it done . Bought a trailer from Colerain on the 15th. We had a few issues with getting our brake controller put in but Colerain was very helpful from start to finish and always went the extra mile...literally and figuratively. Our car had to be taken to another place to be serviced and they took it for us so that we wouldn't have to miss work. They made sure the work was done and in a timely manner as well as made sure that we had everything that we wanted in our trailer done. 0 STARS We looked at an RV at their location recently. At first everything seemed to be professional and cool. The salesman appeared to be nice and informative. We gave them all of our pertinent information - financial etc,.. Initially they tried to crunch some numbers for us at that time. The salesman said the person that usually looks over all the financial and final information was not in so they would get back to us. We kept trying to check in to find out what the status was regarding the situation over the next week. It started to get a bit sketchy and ridiculous when somebody wasn't available that was supposed to be available, and they weren't calling us back. They then thought to tell us that the man who was supposed to look over the info only works part time. That information wasn't afforded to us previously. When we finally thought we were going to get a straight answer, they kept switching the numbers around and increasing the terms. Even though we gave them all of our information, they kept acting like they didn't have the information they needed to make a determination. Really? Seriously? How many times did we have to give you the same information? !!! It was one of the most inane, unprofessional and ridiculous situations I think I've ever encountered when dealing with a business of that caliber. When it was finally all said and done, they ended up not doing what they said they were going to do, because they kept changing their story and the terms of the agreement. What does a customer need to do to get some good old fashioned honesty and transparency ? I feel like we got the royal run around it was a HUGE HUGE HUGE waste of time. The bottom line is when you're dealing with someone and/or a business and they say they're going to do something, you would like to think that they have integrity and professionalism to back up their word and/or promise and actually - DO IT. Nothing makes a person more annoyed and disgruntled than dealing with sketchy and flaky behavior, and also being ignored in the interim. We told them we no longer want anything to do with them and terminated communication. Apparently they didn't feel the extreme need to make any money and sell an RV. The age old question still applies: How are these people still in business?! I am finding more and more that dealing with honest and ethical people who have pride in their efforts to do business with lately is becoming a true rarity. Consider my opinion from our poor experience as well as my sage advice if you wish: Pass these people by, and try another dealership. Save yourself the grief in dealing with the rampant ineptitude that seems to plague this business. read more

Everyone at this Colerain are very nice people, lets start with the sales person Sherri, nice lady seems to know about campers and after a little dickering we bought a new 5th wheeler. The 5th wheeler was in Ohio so we were to pick it up the weekend after the 4th of July. A week before I was to pick the camper up, I talked to Sherri telling her I have a short bed truck, will this camper work on my truck or do I need a different hitch, she said I'll check and if you don't hear from me there is no problem. Never heard from her and when I went to pick up the camper the service department said I had to have a slide rail with this camper. Okay so I bought a new hitch from them, but now the camper needs a catch plate and we don't have the right one. We will order it and can deliver the camper to you but I decided I would rather return and pick up the camper so I could see how it pulled because it was 6k heaver than the one I traded in. I return the following weekend and no one seems to know what has happened to the catch plate. So here I am, paid cash for this new Solitude and I am going to have to make another 120 mile round trip again next weekend, that will make 3 times trying to get my new camper. Now this camper is also suppose to be checked, while I was waiting on them to find the catch plate that was nowhere to be found, I opened the front storage door and the lock latch was ready to fall off because the screw that held it on was not screwed down, the screw was sticking out an 1/8" past the latch, when I opened the door to go into the camper there was dirt all over the floor, I guess the cleaning person doesn't like dirt and there was still tape stuck to the counter that the cleaning person didn't clean off. The moral to this story is the sales people don't care about you they just want your money and the service department they must not have any kind of service manager and the service people all set around in a circle jerk and the cleaning person or person's much think that cleaning is beneath them. I'm a very busy person and I get two weekends off a month and they managed to screw me and my family out of both of them. read more

I was frustrated, but after I posted I was contacted by Frank the manager at Colerain in Indianapolis, and the by Josh the service manager. My problem was that we could not get anyone to help us get our tv hooked up and working, and to tell us how to get the tv out of the cabinet. When Josh called me, he had one of his employees go out to one of there trailer like our 2018, and they told us how to do it. And if we could not get it off the wall he offered to come out to our trailer and help us. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you guys everything Josh told us to do worked, and everything is working great. I would like to say if you are interested in buying a trailer go to Colerain. I love our trailer, and have recommended them to several people looking to buy. COLERAIN ROCKS AND SO DOES THEIR STAFF. Again Thank You for all your help, and kindness. Our representative was Kristin Bender who went out of her way to be certain we felt comfortable with our purchase. We started out looking at Class B type, then class C type but soon realized it would be to our best interest to buy a trailer then upgrade my truck (which we haven't done yet). My wife and I bought our first camper at Brand X, I don't believe in hurting a companies reputation so I won't mention the actual name. I see very negative post about all sorts of companies and it makes me wonder if people ever consider how much they may damage employees lively hood and that of working parents. I feel like anyone can have a bad day or a bad experience but usually find that most places will do the right thing if the customer takes the time to rationally explain the grievance and give the company the chance to make it right. So owning my own business I know how easy it is for a company to get a bad review and how hard it is to get a positive review. I thought I'd take the opportunity to give a positive review about a company that I've never gave a penny to. Colerain R.V. is full of caring people who Genuinely seem to care, my only regret is not buying from them after reading a negative review, I should have given them the chance and found out for myself. I bought a new Rockwood Mini Lite from Brand X, Colerain had the same model by the same company that came from the same factory, the only difference was the decals. I drove an hour and a half out of my way to buy a Rockwood instead of the 15 minute trip from our front door to Colerain in Indy. We are both very new at towing as this is our first camper. I was towing the camper for the first camping trip and when I went over some railroad tracks in Beech Grove the camper came off the hitch! I was terrified and thought our trip was over after calling brand X and finding out that they would not help us at all, I explained the situation and that it was an emergency and they told me to call a tow company. Now for the good news, a very kind young gentleman by the name of Chris McGuire and His wife Misty were heading to work, they both work at Colerain Indy as well as his Mom Sister and Step Father. Chris took the time to stop and find out what had happened, I explained and in his dress clothes he got the camper back on my hitch securely even though my tongue jack was badly damaged he helped lift it back on my hitch. Chris asked if I'd follow him about 5 miles to Colerain so we could get an estimate for repairing the hitch, I agreed. We arrived at the dealership before they were open and Chris got the Colerain Crew right on it. The parts manager Josh helped along with two Techs. While they were putting together an estimate and seeing if they had a replacement tongue jack I called Brand X and got an estimate from them they gave me a quote of nearly three hundred dollars stating it would be three weeks before they could even touch it. Chris and Josh came out and helped make the repairs all before they were open and the best part was given that it was an accident and our first camper they didn't charge for the parts or the labor. We now have all of our service and maintenance work done at Colerain and while it may take them a while to get a part or finish the repairs they always treat us with respect and do a good job. I will definitely give them a good referral and shop Colerain R.V. first. They say they try to treat everyone like family and my family actually enjoys stopping in to visit every once and a while because the staff is always so pleasant and friendly. Results may very but ours have been great. Colerain RV is family owned and operated and has been since 1968 and we will always appreciate how we were treated by the sales manager Chris and the Parts manager Josh. We bought our camper in the fall of 2011, and was very happy with the experience. In April of 2012 we had a minor accident and took it to have the repair done. It took a month for our camper to be completed. We are happy with the work done, and the camper looks great. We picked our camper up on a Friday and headed out to camp that night. We got everything set up and our son went to go to the bathroom. Someone had defecated in our camper toilet. When I contacted Colerain they denied that would of happened at their store. So take it for what it is worth. I believe they have some unprofessional employees working for them. read more
