Communication is horrible! Some of the worst we have experienced and that's saying a lot. I'm not sure what has happened to "customer service " anymore. It is as though businesses don't think customer service matters. Well, it does!!!! We have had nothing but issues with service and not getting our rig looked at for over a week in their possession until we call and after almost 2 weeks we still do not have status updates. Things were not addressed properly and getting feedback has been nonexistent. We have to fight to get answers for everything. So frustrating! Lots of regrets for buying from Camping World at the Lowell, AR location. We hope this isn't the experience at other Camping World locations. read more

Terrible decision to buy from camping world. It's a fairly loosely regulated industry and camping world has closed the their competition to create a near monopoly. I wouldn't buy a used bicycle from them. They sold me a 5th wheel camper and installed the hitch so far forward that it was impossible to maneuver it. I had no choice but trade it and take a massive loss on it . They will try to add on points to their loans and include options you didn't want. They can't service the number of campers they sell so warranty work can take months to get done. read more

My service advisor (Tracy) did a very poor job communicating with me about the status of my camper. I emailed her on numerous occasions, and she never replied to me. I had to call several times to get updates. She told me they couldn't find the initial part (water manifold); it took me 15 minutes on the phone with McGaugh RV (local Jayco dealer) to get a part number that they said they could have in 2-3 business days. She told me that it was going to take at least 10 days to get the part. I told her it had a brand-new water pump that I had purchased from their dealership, and she was the person who confirmed that it would be a good pump to replace my old pump with. Then after they installed the water manifold, she called me to tell me that it needed a new water pump but the one I had installed was the wrong size. I told her that she is the one who recommended that pump to me when I went in and bought it. Then when I picked up the camper I looked inside and that was the exact same pump they used to replace the other new pump. They also didn't secure the new pump to the floor, nor did they reinstall the pre-filter that was on it. I had told her that I wanted the new pump I had installed, and she said she didn't think they had it. I had told her I wanted it when she originally told me they were going to put a new pump in it. When I went to hook up my camper they had left a bunch of lights on, and my batteries were too weak to even run my jacks. I couldn't even get my generator started to be able to power it. I told her that I wanted to speak to the manager about the pump. She came out and put the pump on my tailgate and walked off. After we finally got my camper hooked up, I went back inside to speak to the manager, and he had already left. This tells me that either she didn't tell him, or he didn't want to speak to me. We purchased the extended warranty when we bought the camper from Camping World as well as the exterior coat protection plan. I had also informed them that there was an issue with the exterior paint and that you could see the sun had faded the paint and the framing of the camper was visible around the faded areas on both sides of the camper. They said they tried buffing it out on one side, but it made no difference. They were supposed to do it to both sides. Based on the "scrub marks" it looks like they just tried in one small area. Very dissatisfied with this whole visit. I think they replaced the water pump and billed the extended warranty company even though the pump was perfectly fine. read more

Don't do business here if you are female. The salesman consistently interrupted me and wouldn't give any response to my questions. My husband and I came here with the intention of purchasing a new or used RV. We could not get a word in edgewise. When my husband was lucky enough to break the salesman's pitch, he basically dismissed his question with a shift to a different topic. Overall it was a disappointment with added frustration of a salesman who has no idea how to build a relationship with clients. We ended up going to MCGaugh's RV in Springdale. Jerry is knowledgeable and will not glom onto you - talking non stop. He introduced himself and let us look in peace, coming back to answer questions. Highly recommend avoiding Gander. Not trustworthy enough for me - if you're never able to ask, how are you able to make an informed purchase? My least favorite place... however we were in a rush before we left for our spring break camping trip when we noticed we had a leak so we decide to give camping world in Lowell one more try :( Initially the customer service tech was great. They diagnosed the problem within a few hours. They told us that we should have our motor home fixed by the weeks end (3/4 days) which I was very pleased by. We purchased a new Keystone Hideout 272bh from Gander Rv in Lowell Arkansas. After looking around and shopping rvs everywhere we found the best deal here -- 5hours from home. From the first phone call to working out all the kinks for the deal this team was outstanding! I will admit I was a bit concerned after hearing from others about their experiences with camping world (not this location but local to me locations!) But we have never received the customer service and hospitality this business has shown! Emily helped us from day one to get the ball rolling and kept in touch over the phone and emails through the entire process. Jordan worked up a deal we couldn't resist especially after falling in love with this unit at a local lot. So, we set out to go pick up our camper on my husbands off days. The team reached out to us the night prior to us coming and let us know they were expecting some winter weather but wasn't sure if it would be bad or not but wanted to give us the heads up. We decided to go ahead and make the trip anyways. So about 3 hours in to the drive it started sleeting the roads quickly started icing over. The traffic was at a standstill or VERY SLOW for much of the way as the roads were very slick and people were running off the roads everywhere but we kept trucking on slow and steady - a 5 hour drive turned into 10 hours. During the drive Emily called to check on us a few times they even offered for us to stop and stay in a hotel and come the rest of the way the next day, we decided to just go ahead and keep pushing on unless it got too bad not to make it. Eventually we did make it though! Everything was extremely nice and professional. Our walk through with Carrie (forgive me if I spelt it wrong) was AMAZING. She was one of the greatest people I've ever encountered at a dealership/ service dept. Carrie told us everything we needed to know then she fixed some small issues I saw without hesitation. While we were there the ice was continuing to come down. We were getting considered with how we would pull it off the lot to get anywhere for the night and then they offered for us to stay on the lot and plugged in!! How awesome is that! We got everything done then went back to our camper for the night, Carrie put waters, paper towels, bags etc in the camper for us to have for our stay. This dealership / service shop / store THE WHOLE 9 YARDS was great and worth the trip!! A trip that turned into quite the adventure wasn't so bad when you get treated the way they treated us! I was visiting the area for about a week and had some issues with my electrical system. I contacted CW at Lowell and spoke to Teresa to get my motor home repaired. Teresa was able to get me taken care of in the same day. My technician was Alex. He was phenomenal in explaining to me how the electrical system worked. Absolutely the worse service experience. Pretty sad when they back your brand new camper into something at their location and wont honor fixing it. 5/15/2020. Brought our a Trailer in for a dewinterization and a roof maintenance service. Advertised price online, where the appointment was booked was $400 (440 with tax). We were charged a total of $583. For charges of "shipping and handling" of $30 and "shop supplies" of over $80. These extra charges were never mentioned. What a complete ripoff. These people are crooks. We were told by the service dept "these charges are on every bill" It is appalling a place does business like this. read more

The absolute worst place to take your camper or RV! Don't do it! Mechanics are careless and sloppy. And so slow!!!! Took them 6 months to repair our siding on our trailer and they messed up so much other stuff that we had to make them redo it. We have been so careful with making sure our trailer stays clean and in like new condition for the 5 years we have owned it. Took it to these guys and now it looks like a not taken care of mess. So disappointed! Even went to corporate about the issues and they were just as dismissive as the local store. Will absolutely never ever give them any business again!!!! read more

We have had a terrible experience with Gander RVs service department. They have kept our Motor Home twice for over 2 months to fix a factory warranty issue. Buyers beware. MAKE THIS THE FIRST PLACE YOU VISIT!!!! Bear with me, this is lengthy, but worth it. Firstly, Shawn Lynge is the general manager and must know what he is doing because this place is PHENOMENAL!!! My financial team Steve and Jackie went above and beyond to get me into a camper with my special circumstances. Talk to them! There are so many options you may not know you have, and they are experts at what they do! They also explained every step and detail over the phone to my co-signer who lives in a different location just to make sure things went smooth before overnighting the paperwork. My salesman Mike Webb was amazing. I was dead set on a fifth wheel, and for my price range there wasn't much option. He suggested a bumper pull that he thought would be perfect (all the ones I had looked at, a lot, just seemed so cramped), but was willing to take a shot. OMG! This thing was amazingly spacious and had everything I wanted. So I immediately filled out paperwork to get started. Mike was there every step of the way to answer a million questions and went above and beyond to make my experience as least stressful as possible. Next we have Kathy. She helped me shop for all the necessary items (hoses and other required equipment to start camping) . She was AMAZING! She was knowledgeable, knew who I was before I got there and had a list of the stuff and made it quick and painless. She explained all the products and recommended the best options for me, but let me choose what I wanted for pricing. (I went with most of her opinions ) Then there was Drew. He did my camper walkthrough and explained how everything worked when it was all powered up. Every corner of do's and dont's to help my camper stay in the best shape possible and safe. I was also in a hurry so he accommodated me for that as well. Know comes Marcus and Shane. These are two salesmen that had nothing to do with my purchase, but went above and beyond to be helpful. They made sure my kids were safe in the lobby while I shopped with Kathy, and of course my daughter left her phone inside the camper when they accommodated me to bring them up there to see it since they hadn't yet. When I went back to get it, Shane was polite enough to take me out there, but the slides had been pushed in already. Of course the phone is in the back, so After waiting for someone to get us power to open the slide (they were slammed) Marcus crawled through hands first through a small opening, got the phone, and climbed back out. Lol - it was hilarious, but very kind so I didn't have to wait around any longer. Lastly, Marshall and George are going to deliver my new camper to my site and show me how to get the hoses in. (I've never had a camper). These people did all this for one person. Who needed help after other places were not as friendly, judgmental, didn't return calls, couldn't work with my situation, or didn't treat me like a person in general. I went to at least 4 other places, and it was the same story. I stressed for weeks about it. As a travel nurse, I was tired of bouncing from place to place, but I was just another person to these other places. The attitudes, positivity, kindness, PROFESSIONALISM, knowledge, and flexibility of this business is incomparable to any other in NWA. This also goes out to the secretaries and other random people who just stopped to ask "if I needed any help with anything" These people are AMAZING, and I'm so glad I chose them. They help me succeed with my goal when other couldn't or didn't seem to care. THIS IS THE PLACE!!! You can check out other places, but I guarantee you won't find better staff than this place. GANDER RV = INCOMPETENCE If you like to waste time & money, this is your place! In November 2019, I took my motorhome to Gander RV in Lowell, Arkansas to have the entryway steps and rear storage compartment door replaced. In January, they called to say it was ready for pickup, but I had just gone on a three-week trip. When I got back, I went in to get it, only to find that the rear storage compartment door had not been replaced. Turns out, they never even ordered the parts! I was trying to sell this RV, and during the ELEVEN WEEKS these jokers had it, I lost three potential buyers. Furthermore, I lost over $3,000 of value during this time (based on NADA's pricing guides). To add insult to injury, they wanted to charge me over $180 just for removing tape residue from around the storage compartment door. Don't waste your time and money on these ass-hats! read more

Very unsatisfied with Gander RV. Bought RV on 6/17/2020, today is 8/10/2020, just found out it still has a lien holder and money owed against it. So, worse case, my RV could be repossessed by current lien holder or reported as stolen......I have called over and over asking for paperwork and no one could tell me the problem until today!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. My salesman, David was great and Alex in the back who did our walk around was great......everyone else has gave us the run around!!! Consumer Beware! We have had the worst Customer Service at Gander RV (aka Camping World). We bought our travel camper in 2018, brand new from the above mentioned. We should have learned a valuable lesson back then when the final walk-thru was sub-par. (We actually learned more about our camper from other camping enthusiasts parked next to us at a local camping ground.) Being the optimists we are, we blamed it on one employee and gave the company as a whole, a second chance. A hail storm come through that did some damage to the camper. We filed a claim with our insurance and made an appointment to drop off the camper at Gander RV for the 23rd of July. We both called the company SEVERAL times to get an update. Each time we called, we either left a message with the receptionist or spoke with the Service Department who said they would check on it and call us back. Over the past few days, I spoke with 2 different people in their service department. Aaron, who was new but very friendly and seemed to be doing the best he could, and Blake, the very rude young man is whom I ended up having a problem with. 1. When I asked Blake what was the point of making an appointment to drop off the camper if they were not going to look at it on that day, he told me they had over 188 campers in their lot that needed to be fixed. That after a hail storm, many campers get damaged at the same time. That by making my appointment, it only secured my place in line. 2. Aaron told me that they had 2 quotes ready for me, but did not know exactly where they were, and was trying to find them. Blake told me that Aaron was new and didn't know what he was talking about, because if there were quotes done, he would be able to pull them up on the computer. 3. During one of many phone conversations, Blake told me that he was so busy that he had already missed 2 customer phone calls that he can never get back during the time he was on the phone with me. 4. August 6th, Blake called to let me know they had a quote ready and needed my insurance info. I relayed the info and requested he send it to my email as well. August 7th, (yesterday), I called once again and requested to speak with Blake, as he was supposed to email me a copy of the quote. Blake answered, put me on hold without letting me speak, and Aaron picked up the phone. Aaron did not know that I was calling to speak with Blake. He had no knowledge of the request to email the quote to me and said they were unable to submit it to my insurance because of the wrong information. 4. While on the phone with Aaron, I told him everything that Blake had told me, and how unhappy I was with their service. I knew that he was new to their company, and told him that he seemed like a nice guy and should really find somewhere else to work and that I would be picking up my camper shortly. 5. When I arrived to retrieve our camper, Blake and Aaron wanted to talk about the events mentioned above. Blake claimed that he and his supervisor reviewed all the phone conversations, and that my perception of what he had told me was wrong and that he did not appreciate what I said to Aaron about finding a better company to work for. Blake is an expert at manipulating words and he definitely tried to convince me how wrong I was. If anyone knows me, they will tell you I am one of the most honest person they know. I left there telling Aaron that he needed to go listen to those supposed recorded phone calls and decide for himself. We bought a 2020Thor Hurricane at this years RV show in Little Rock. Our salesman was Dave from the Lowell store. Dave was great and helped us plus being very knowledgeable about the product. He helped make the process bearable. Dave followed up with us after the sale and delivery. Since the we had some issues and a call to Dave got the ball rolling. When we dropped off the motor home Dave met us and directed us to the service manager. He too was very professional and got us all written up and called us in about a week and let us know how work was going and the time frame for parts and such. He told us if we wanted to use it we could and he would call us when parts were in but due to the pandemic we decided to keep it there until the work is done. If I could rate them lower than a 1 star I would. I was lied too, misled and they caused more issues with my TT than it had when i dropped it off. They have had my TT in their shop twice. This last, and I emphasize LAST time for 3 weeks. Leak in the roof still dripping each time it rains and drain under the sink they said was fixed has now caused a leaking hot water tank. My service report stated that "I needed to be educated on how to close the vent properly!" Very disrespectful, unprofessional, cant seem to get anything done! Worst customer service and I have bought many vehicles. Never got back with me and when I finally got ahold of somebody they were short with me. I definitely felt like I didn't matter and as a customer and someone who is serious about buying a travel trailer I will definitely be looking elsewhere. There are many other places in NWA. Don't take your RV to this place, run from this place. We took our RV into get an estimate done. They said it would be 3 days, 17 days later we finally picked up our RV and no estimate. They lost our RV, it took them a while to find it. The would not return calls, only after I finally got them to call me back and I told them we were coming in to get it, did they try to do something. They told me they would have our RV ready and waiting for us to get there, they did not. We took it to another RV place and had a estimate in 4 hours. These people at camping world are incompetent, I will not darken their doorstep again, even if they were the last place in town. read more

Returning from vacation over the 4th of July the brakes on my fifth wheel locked up causing problems. The nearest place to hobble to was Gander in Lowell. JULY 6th I left the 5er there and was told that they would take a look the following day, no later than the second day and call me. Fair enough, I sadly loaded up my dog and returned to Kansas. To make this very long story short: I have written down 22 contacts with the service department people. This was calling and texting both. When I finally got the manager, John, he informed me that what I had been told previously was incorrect (I had talked with Blake who said Jeremy would be working on it. John said that was not true, that Chad was the only one who would be qualified to do so.) Well, 3 weeks into "we'll look at it tomorrow"... I was done with the run-around game. Made arrangements to have it picked up and brought back to Kansas. The two guys who picked it up for me said the people at Gander were not very pleasant towards them upon picking it up. As a service department.... really? Good service is being honest at all times, doing what you said you would do and do a damn good job of it. Perhaps Gander's corporate office should hold "service to the customer 101" classes. read more

This is, by far, the worst buying experience I have ever had. We got to the lot a little before 10:00. Our salesman, Ryan, was great. He showed us a variety of campers that met our criteria and then patiently waited while I looked at them again. He took notes on the ones we liked so we could go back to them. We found "the one" and started the paperwork process. That is where the good time ended. They seemed very unorganized and we sat waiting A LOT. They said the camper would be ready to go at 3:00 that afternoon. They would have it completely detailed, hooked to the truck and ready for final inspection. At 6:30, we were still waiting for everyone to finish their portion of paperwork. We were there for over 8 hours and never even offered anything to drink. You'd think after a person spends that much money on a camper, they could at least spring for a couple of cokes. But, they DID have a water fountain. Our final walk-through was done while the detailing was being done so they had to stop so we could go inside the camper. We were told they would finish when we were done. Imagine my surprise when we FINALLY got the camper home and opened the door to find they never touched the inside of the camper. So, after 8 hours and A LOT of money, I get to clean the inside of a brand new camper before we can even load it. We love the camper we chose but I kind of wish we could have a do-over and we would go somewhere, anywhere else. read more

Bought a used RV there and parts started falling off as soon as it left the lot. 7 months later when it had broken down completely, I returned to express dissatisfaction and the manager offered to restore my confidence with a great deal on a newer unit. The best they would do was a used 2013 model at $15,000 more than dozens of new 2014s being advertised elsewhere. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I'm out of there. read more
