I went to Camping World in Lubbock looking for furnace motor for our vintage Holiday Rambler Imperial. The clerk at the parts desk was extremely helpful. After searching for the proper part he did tell me that his books indicated that my part was "almost obsolete." I told him that the entire RV was almost obsolete. In spite of being a vintage RV, he had the part in stock. He quoted me a price which I considered very reasonable. He then asked if I was a Good Sam member, which I am. He looked up my information and said my membership was due for renewal the following month. If I would allow him to renew my membership that day he could give the motor to me at half price. This was my first trip to Camping World but certainly not my last. I highly recommend Camping World Lubbock with no reservations. read more

I called camper world spoke with manager Jim. He said he would get back with me but its been 3 weeks no call back. My camper still had moisture trapped in the roof because they left it outside uncovered. They knew it had breaks in the top from hail, thats what they had it there for. I'm taking back 4 stars after taking my travle trailer home to find a dead mouse and a ton of mouse droppings under the bench of our dinnet after cleaning that up we decide to watch a movie we got from red box only to find out after 30 minutes of trying to get it to play that it was not working and we can't even get it to eject the movie . The trailer is a used 2010 but I thought after putting 9 grand down they would at least make sure the trailer was clean and rodent free. I love camping world but the lubbock location is sub par compared to the others I have been to. We won't be buying any campers from them in the future . read more

I purchased my 2018 Pioneer RV in late April.....In May someone stole it from the RV storage facility I had it stored in. I used it 1-time brand new unit still with tags in the inside. I found 2 days later with minor damage like the doors, screen door and they took the 50" TV it came with. Filed my insurance brought the unit in Late July sat in the lot for 2 1/2 months did not even touch it and had not even ordered parts, I called that I would pick it up due to we need it for travel softball for our little one. We are in January 2019 and apparently, it takes 6 months to order parts. I am due to bring it on Saturday so the repairs will begin. Part's have been there but no try to let the customer know. Let's pray it doesn't sit there another 2 months just to replace the doors and hang the TV and replace some screens on the windows.........did i mention that we got a flat tire within the first month of having the RV and when we went to put the spare it was not even the right size and not the same bolt pattern. Poor customer service, wasted our time, and outright misled us and they think it is okay After a lot of research we went to campingworld where we met John our salesman and after some time, we decided to go with the 27ft Palomino. We went back to the office and filled out all the paperwork and we didn't haggle on the price which was $16,995, we offered $1,000 down and they came back and asked us if we could put more down. We offered $1,200 down and John came back from financing and said our payments would be $210, we signed the agreement and he offered to have the camper ready by the next day. We had plans to go to Amarillo Saturday and my husband had to work Friday, so we asked if we could pick it up on Monday. The salesman John said sure, that they would call us and have someone walk through with us and schedule everything for Monday. He shook our hands, everyone said congratulations and he said "well I'm going to go put a sold sign on your camper!" We were very excited and made camping plans with our friends and family who were co-camper owners. We went out and bought the sheets and the accessories we would need for it and we put a deposit on a storage spot for it. We did not receive a call on Monday, my husband left a message for our salesman and a message for the finance manager and no one would back. My husband had to drive up there to find out what was going on. The finance manager that he had left a message for came to him and told him that our interest rate would be %18 and our payment would increase and that they wanted $4,000 down, which was not the deal we signed and needless to say we were frustrated and could not understand why they did not just tell us that to begin with and we would not have made all these plans and wasted our time and money. We call and spoke to the General manager Tom Lang and were upset and frustrated and asked him why they would tell us it was a done deal; make us sign an agreement; tell us congratulations; and put a sold sticker on the camper if it was not a done deal at all. He argued with us that his sales people are operating under an assumption and that sometimes the banks change the agreement that they have us sign and that was not their fault. I was flabbergasted that this was how they did business and asked him if they thought it was good business to act as though the deal had gone through and let people believe waste their time and money getting supplies for the camper and putting deposits on storage facilities when there is a possibility that there is no deal and he said he thought it was fine. Service in this place sucks. They had my coach twice to fix front furnace. Said was fixed. Wasn't. Took back. Kept a month to fix one circuit board. Simple to diagnose and fix. Not even a "sorry took so long." Took forever to get supposed forever warranty processed. I'll go out of town before dealing with again. read more

The people were very friendly but have no idea what they are doing. We are first time RV owners and thought they would be able to educate us on care, towing and hookups but apparently not. We naively assumed they knew what they were doing. The first problem was when we picked up our new never used RV after they fixed some recalled parts. We made an appt to pick it up around 10am. We arrived at 9:45 and did not leave until 11:30. Once home we found out it was not cleaned or detailed. We paid extra for a protective coating that was not done and someone had peed all over the seat and in the toilet. We couldn't find the keys and after talking to the several times on the phone finally found the keys only to have to take it back to them to clean! We were given a $100 gift card for the inconvenience and we thought ok now we are good. Nope they lost our chalk, installed the hitch upside down and the sway bars incorrectly. Our first road trip was a disaster and dangerous. We had to go to another RV place on the way to fix all these issues. Due to there incompetence these issues almost did irreversible damage to our brand new truck we specifically bought to tow the trailer. You would think when you buy a brand new 2019 Rockwood Signature at 50$,000 the shop would know how to properly take care of it. Would not recommend go somewhere that's actually knows how RVs work! read more

We started searching Camping Worlds online across the US for a specific Brand and Model of Class C in October 2017. We found what we wanted in Lubbock, TX. We were contacted by David Blazi, one of the salesmen there. David was very helpful and knowledgeable during the entire process from our inquires, questions about the RV, and finally purchasing the RV. I asked David some very detailed questions regarding this new Forest River Class C as we were in Albuquerque, NM. David even took the time to take numerous pictures inside and outside and text them to me. After we settled on a very reasonable end of year sales price we agreed to purchase. I rented a one way car rental and drove to Lubbock, stayed in hotel near Camping World and David was kind enough to pick me up the next morning in his personal car. Since I have to leave a star but seriously I would leave no star. I have been trying to buy a rv for the last 6 months. I have been told over the course of this time by now 3 sales rep that they would get back to me and never once did I get a response back. I spoke with Harold today on the phone after I was told the last rep would get back to me in a week, at which that didn't happen. Harold told me basically that just because a rep tells me that doesn't mean it will actually happen. So basically, they lie to you and tell you something is going to happen but it doesn't. Harold was rude, a jerk and basically did not try to earn my business at all. He was taking up for the sales rep that "I was on the list to be called today" Yeah right ! Not one rep has helped me in the last 6 months. I have reached out to Tom (the general manager) and I will see where it goes from there. I rarely ever give a bad review but this is a well deserved 1 Star company. You can buy an RV at Camping World and have an average experience. However, once you sign on the dotted line the real trouble begins. The service department is truly the worst I have EVER experienced. They do not follow through with what they say, they do not complete their work on time, they do not call you back when you leave a message, they do not care and want you to know it. When you talk to a service rep they always blame someone else for the problem. If you can find an RV anywhere else I would buy from there. They had a sign posted with information on how to contact corporate office if you have complaint. My husband took a picture of it during one of our more frustrating experiences and they literally took it down! It has not been there since. We are having to struggle with Camping World until our warranty is up and then we will never use their service department again. read more

We were stranded the middle of June when our RV broke down and after going from Dalhart to Lubbock to get help we found out it was to costly to repair so Park Weatherly helped us find another unit and also took care of our dog as the motel did not allow dogs. Look for Park when you need help. I would have rated the service department 5 but it drops down to a 2. When looking at the new unit there was a flashlight in the bedside stand that was missing when we put things away & the bathroom had not been cleaned along with lots of stuff left under the sink. We purchased a used 87 Airstream from CW Lubbock last month. (10-2015) What a great experience! John Keys was our salesman and he bent over backwards to work with us.
