Terrible customer service. Entered my zip code into the Forest River website for a local dealer and was told Camping World would respond within 24 hours. They never did. So I called to ask about the price and availability of a unit and was told "I have to check with our sales manager and I will get right back to you." Never did. Then like a week later (after I had already moved on and bought the trailer from another dealer) that same person left me a message asking if all my questions had been answered?? Sorry Camping World. This is what happens when you buy a brand new trailer from Camping world and it has water leaking issues.... paid roughly 43,000$ for a coleman 300tq trailer in Fall 2022. Within the first 4 months we noticed water had been leaking into the front of our trailer and had obvious water settling inside with interior wall absorption as well. Warranty was denied and Camping world did not plan on helping until I was about to involve an attorney. Now a year has passed and I have had another leak in the roof that caused water to be coming out of my ceiling. Saturating the Insulation. (Also, this trailer has been kept undercover/covered while being stored and has only been used a few times) Denied me again which led me to having to fix the issue myself. Here we are... a year later..no customer support what so ever. I will NEVER use camping world again nor do I reccomend anyone to as well. The reason we decided to buy a new Trailer, was to hopefully avoid alot of these issues or to at least get some support from the Dealer when it comes to warranty. Save your money and sanity and visit a local privately owned dealer. I have never wrote anything negative about a business before and I really DO NOT like doing this.... but this has been the worst experience ive ever had with a new purchase. read more

Very long review, but worth the read!!!! Now that my situation has been finalized, I've decided to write this review to forewarn potential customers of the "hidden" fees you may encounter at this facility. I needed to get my RV in for a once-over, 45-point inspection to get it ready for an upcoming camping trip and for the camping season all together. I called a couple of other RV facilities for the 45-point inspection, but they were all about a month to two months out for appointments. I then called Camping World in Medford, OR, and they were able to get me in in a week. (RED Flag??? Maybe.) But I was ecstatic!! When I called, I spoke to Scott. He told me the 45-point inspection would be $360.00, and I can drop it off on Friday, April 21st. I had mentioned to Scott that the shelf under my bathroom sink broke and can the technicians look at and fix the shelf. He told me he wrote it down for the technicians. So I got off the phone with the notion of $360 for the 45-point inspection and the bathroom shelf to get fixed. A week later, I go and pick up my RV. Up to this point, all is good with my communication with Scott. I go in, sign the papers they have you sign when you pick up your rig. I then handed over my credit card to pay what I thought was $360.00 plus the bathroom shelf fixing. I must admit, this part is all my fault. No, I didn't read that paper I signed. I ASSUMED (I know ...never assume!!) I could just sign and I'm good. Give me my keys and I'm off with my RV. Another part that is my fault .... I didn't even think of looking at the bathroom shelf. Was too excited that my RV was ready to roll. And Coos Bay, here I come!!! I get home with my RV. I'm in my house, and I finally look at my invoice. $471.21???? I'm doing the math. $360.00. They charged me $111.21 to fix that shelf??? But the $111.21 is under "Extras Total." So I run out to my RV and check under the bathroom sink. THE SHELF IS NOT EVEN FIXED!! IT'S STILL IN ITS BROKEN STATE. What the hell is the $111.21 for????? I get on the phone to ask about this. The guy I spoke to said the "Extras Total" is for goggles and gloves. What the hell is that??? I said, "What?" He chuckles a little and said, "Goggles and gloves. The guys have to put on goggles and gloves when they're doing the 45-point inspection." I said, "Are you fucking kidding me?" Now I'm pissed. I told him to have Scott call me. After a couple of times playing phone tag, I finally talk to Scott. He said that's the environmental fee they charge. I told him, "You told me $360.00. You didn't mention goggles and gloves." I told him I felt bamboozled by him not mentioning this fee. I even called the RV places down in Redding re: what they charge. I was told their 45-point inspection fees INCLUDE the environmental fee. (The Redding RV facility's total was $329.99 - $141 cheaper. Unfortunately, they could not get to my RV for over a month and I needed it sooner.) And it's standard that there is an environmental fee. I totally understand that. My problem is Scott DID NOT TELL ME it would be an extra fee. Or he should have told me the total would be $471.21. Then that would have given me the choice to go with them or not. And since no other RV facility could get me in for a month or two, I would have just sucked it up and paid it anyways. But by not disclosing this, yes, I feel he did pull a fast one on me. So my suggestion to anyone choosing to patronize Camping World in Medford, DON'T. Or make sure you know what you're paying for up front in full before you choose this place. Because if you are not happy with the service or the hidden fees, they will blow you off. Scott was essentially telling me, "Too bad." I even called Marcus Lemonis myself. Spoke with a couple different people. All of them were very nice and tried to help by contacting Camping World and communicating with them. To no avail. Again, TOO BAD, SO SAD. One of the gals from Marcus Lemonis' HQ asked me if I'd like Scott to call me back. I told her if he's not going to admit he was wrong in not telling me about this hidden fee or not going to reimburse me $111.21, I do not want him calling me because I will say something that I may regret. Well, he never did call. Positive outcome from my credit card company. I filed a complaint. Filled out their paperwork. Told them what happened in detail. They agreed with me, and I got that $111.21 reimbursed. I agree customers are not always right. In my case, I was right. And I will NEVER IN MY RV LIFETIME EVER PATRONIZE CAMPING WORLD IN MEDFORD, OREGON. When I upgrade my RV, I WILL NOT BE GOING TO CW IN MEDFORD. When I'm asked for referrals, I WILL NOT SEND THEM TO CW IN MEDFORD. I will schedule my 45-point inspections with reputable RV facilities well in advance so I never have to go through what Camping World in Medford, OR did to me. Happy RV'g to you all. I am just disgusted and furious. There have been so many issues and we haven't even stayed a single night in it yet. The spare had a ridiculous plug in it ( they fixed it after I complained to corporate) We watched a guy back into it while moving another trailer then look around like they were hoping we didn't see it. They fixed it, but I still know it was damaged before we got it home. Everyone has apologized profusely and they are all very nice, but still. We finally got it home, parked, and went in to find that someone had been inside, dropped the couch into the bed position, and left what I hope and pray is a splashed drink on it. The wires to the bathroom fan aren't even hooked up. The door handles on the refrigerator and freezer came off in my hands. And there is a scratch on the door of the refrigerator. I am not a cryer, but I seriously sat here and sobbed for an hour over this because I am so frustrated! I tried to call the office and leave a message but it got rerouted to the corporate office. I even sent pics to them and heard nada. I am just exhausted by this and really just want the old trailer back. At least it had two batteries and this one just has one. I am leaving two stars because everyone was very nice and fixed stuff as I pointed it out but I just don't understand how the fan and refrigerator was overlooked and WHO GOT IN THERE, CHANGED THE POSITION OF THE COUCH, AND LEFT THAT MESS. read more

These guys have been holding my RV hostage for about a month now! We brought it in for some basic maintenance and repairs and they still have not completed the work. We've been calling almost every day to get an update and every time they say "all of our service representatives are with other customers, I'll have one of them call you back" and no one ever calls us back! This is getting ridiculous! If I lived closer I would go in myself and talk with a manager but we live about an hour and a half away. Just be warned that communication and customer service are awful here! And if you bring your rig in, you may not see it again for months! read more

Very disappointed! In all the years we have owned an RV, we have always winterized to protect our RV. Our experience has consistently been to pay when we take it in, and then in the Spring there is no charge to dewinterize. Not so now that Triple A has been taken over by Camping World. We were charged $167 to winterize, and were shocked to be charged $190 to dewinterize? I called Brothers RV in Central Point. Their charge is $125, up front, no surprise charge at the end. We will support Brothers RV in the future and recommend all RV owners do the same. read more

The purchasing process was great. Took travel trailer home and checked out everything, and found a few issues. CW was able to get us in for warranty service quickly. Dropped trailer off and got a call 2 days later with confirmation of said problems and parts were being ordered. Called weekly for updates, parts still hadn't arrived. Finally called on the 19th day after parts had been supposedly ordered to find out they let some employees go, including our Service Dept. contact. So transferred me to new one and find out parts had not been ordered til day before that. So at that point trailer had been sitting in CW lot for 18 days with no parts on way. At this point it's been 33 days waiting on parts and 52 days trailer has been in their possession. Beyond frustrated!! read more

brought my 2018 Ventana to Camping world, Medford for slide out maintenance...charged me $500 + and told me they could not get slide out any better (still about 1-1 1/2 inches out...said a lot of big motor homes have this problem! called Newmar and they said easy fix...call Newmar tech support...took back second time and was told they don't work on this kind of slide out.. why charge me $500 in the first place??...extremely poor service, overcharged and did not provide any maintenance but still charged me $500!! Bottom line...went to authorized repair facility and got it fixed....can't give any lower score....total crooks! read more

We have lost over 50,000 $$$ with motorhome sold to us. Not to mention in two and 1/2 yes of making 1250. month payments we had motorhome in our possesion 6 mos when not in shop with them. had to replace roof twice on new motorhome and still leaked. After we sold it and thought it was fixed. We then read that minnie Winnie had good reviews so we there was one close to us in Medford so we purchased from camping world fearfully. We are retired and after 1 yr and many upgrades we are downsizing and camping world wants us to take a 17,000 dollar loss. Do not buy from them. The Minnie has been reliable . They take units in for trade and advertise tha their price is "top dollar". It seems that making a fair trade with them is all but impossible. If I could give it a zero I would. My family went in to trade our car hauler trailer in and get a new trailer. We made a deal and then by the time we had it hooked to the truck to leave they changed it last minute. We walked away empty handed after a 2.5 hour drive in this fuel economy that's not that great. So they called my mom, and decided to "eat the cost" so my mom decided to give them another try... boy was she wrong to do so! We went up AGAIN a second time and walked away empty handed. The BBB would love to get in touch with these guys and I'm sure they eventually will be due to their faulty practices. "Sketchy" would be a solid one word descriptor for this "dealership". read more

Very disappointed in Camping World in Medford. My husband and I put $1,000 down on a trailer we were very excited about to hold it until we could pick it up the following weekend. We were told by sales person, Aaron, that this deposit would be 100% refundable if we changed our mind. We were trying to negotiate the price down prior to picking up the trailer, but they said no, so we requested to have our deposit refunded so that we could take our business elsewhere. We were then told that the refund was absolutely non-refundable, and that we would not be getting our refund back under any circumstances. If this had been communicated correctly in the first place, we would have never put the deposit down as we were still doing research at other dealerships at the time and keeping our options open. The way the finance person/sales person spoke to us over the phone was extremely patronizing and disrespectful. Eventually spoke to the manager who clarified that we could have our refund back, but that he would reduce the price to gain our business. At this point, the trailer was within the bargaining price range we had asked for, so we bought the trailer. This experience was just very negative and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. A huge purchase like this should be exciting and positive, but I am left feeling disappointed and manipulated. I truly felt that we were getting bullied into buying this trailer, and that we were being taken advantage of because we were young. Very disappointed in how we were treated here. Definitely would not recommend any Camping World to a friend looking for a trailer or anything camping related. read more

I bought the palomino 1240 SS camper, I could have bought it Bobby combs for 19,500. But I went to camping world and paid over 23, 000 because camping world is everywhere and I was assured if I ever had problems on the road camping world would put me to the top of the list to fix it. When I purchased the camper it had some issues that were supposed to be taken care of before I picked it up, nothing was done! The first time I hooked up water it flooded completely the thermostat was still broke, the hot water heater was broke. Have had it in the shop about five times then on our first trip out of state the camper top would not go up so we could not use it stopped in camping world Colorado springs they wouldn't even look at it, said they didn't have time but they did have time to try to get me to take another $15,000 loss as a trade in! They left me and my disabled wife sleeping in the cab of my pickup for six nights. Had to stop our trip and drive 1200 miles back to Oregon. Everything that has been fixed is still broke. The only help they're offering me is to take another huge loss on this camper as a trade-in stating it would cost them too much to fix even though it's still under warranty. Now the refrigerator is out the furnace is out this unit is complete junk and so far they've been unwilling to do anything about it. Besides my purchase price and out well over $10,000 and lost work over 2,000 miles driving back and forth for service work. My story is long BUT important for all you SINGLE LADIES! WORST experience ever and still has not ended!!! I went to Redding, CA Camping World I was looking for a sleeper camper did my research knew actually what I want they advised me Medford had what I was looking for they didn't have the campers there. So since I was taking a trip up to the coast I called MEDFORD a bout two weeks in advance talked to salesman and advised "going fast, salesmen interested, only have four left etc. I said I will be there and have it ready. I was assured it would be called the day before, the morning of and finally arrived. So, salesman greets me, then hands me off to the service guy to show me what I am about to purchase. It was damaged and not just a few scratches but dents, the Coleman sticker was ripped he told me they could order part I could bring in for fixing it etc. I was like "WHAT?" I went inside and waited for a finance guy. Then while i am in with finance service comes back saying I can have it sent to Redding etc to get fix. I then lost it ... I came here for a brand-new camper no hassles etc. about to leave then salesman out of nowhere finds a prefect brand new no damage camper (miracles). Wow! So now I feel taken advantage of because I am a woman. But the salesman blamed service. BUT isn't your job to make sure b4 I see it is good to go? However, the salesman the moment I meet him was so concerned about 5 stars and never stop telling me about the survey and five stars it can't be less etc etc well here is your five stars. Now, I am trying to register the camper and they blew me off no phone calls told me it wasn't their problem. So, once they are done with you that's it!!! Worst experience in my life.
