Worst decision I have ever made they have had my camping for repairs now for longer then I have owned it. This place is full of lies. My 2018 camper needs a new roof ate. New beds? I went there to see an specific model. Heve to go through a 10 minutes Need assessment regardless of explaining I just wanted to see that SPECIFIC model . If not for the reason that they are the only ones carrying that specific RV, I would have walked out right there. The walk through was decent, but sales person felt the need to badmouth competitive models, even some models they sale. I did my research, so I knew more than him about the RV. So I see the model and requested to see a bill of sale. A sales manager comes in. Tells me that they have bottom price advertised. I show her that the same model is, in another Camping World, 50 miles away, 1000 lower. So she comes back after 20 minutes without the. Bill of sale, and asks me again if I'm ready to do a deal today. I ask her again for the bill of sale because I need it for the bank in working with. At this point, they asked me 5 times at least for money. And to finance through them. I explain to her that I have been working with a bank for 2 weeks, that there was some challenges in my credit, I was already approved for another RV, and needed the Bill of sale, so I can decide if I go with the other one or hers. She insisted to give her the opportunity- they they have contacts and leverage with most banks. so I did. Finance manager comes 10 minutes later telling me he don't think can get me approved. I asked him which banks he works with to direct him to the right one, he really does not know. Mention to him three banks non prime that have approved me, mainstream on the RV business, he doesn't even know if they use therm or not. Really? So, back to that bill of sale. She gaves me a ball park, over the advertised price plus taxes, more than 2000 in fees. Really?. Off course I ask again for the bill of sale. Sales person said he will email it to me. So almost 2 hours of my life wasted to get a bill of sale, and I couldn't get even that. T I'm contacting the the Georgia Consumer Protection. Those advertised price are bait and switch techniques, and the refusal to provide me with a bill of sale maybe discriminatory. Unless they have something that is exclusive to them, and you really want it. Look elsewhere. read more

I am very upset that we have taken our camper back to them for broken doors and now this time as soon as we got it home, we went in and the door was hanging off the hinges again. Bought a Jayco motorhome from Camping world Oakwook ga.made a deal with them .. They rushed me through the paper work and would not give me any copies. They ask me to pick it up after they got caught up from the RV show in Atlanta. I go to the Oakwood store 4 days later to get the Rv. We noticed the numbers were higher and they insisted it was just the Extended warranty and other extended services " that I still have no paper work on "made the difference . He ,the finance manager"rushed us through the whole process .when we got home we found the almost $6,000.00 mistake. Because they had already been paid they would not refund my money. The sales person even told them it was a mistake. The General Manager would not meet with us.I decided to cancel the warranties in the amount of $5,000.00 . Has been 5 weeks and nothing. I ask for all the original paper work signed at the World Congress Center sale in Atlanta that they did not give us a copy of. It does not exist now. I noticed where they had backed dated the contract by 4 days .It seems I will have to contact consumer affairs here in Ga. Also the state board licensing. No federal odometer was giving . I can go on and on. It seems that when they discovered, as I told them , that A 100% Disabled Veteran does not have to pay the almost $6,000.00 in TAVT TAXES that they were determined to own that money. They gave me no respect. I will have to say my sales person Cody is a honest, stand up person. He defended me until he got called to the office. His hands were tied. We bought our first 5th wheel from these guys a couple of months ago, the sales process was awesome we couldn't have been happier. As soon as our paper work was signed it was all down hill from there, it was one thing after another trying to pick up the 5th wheel we drove the two hours there from our home only to be told it wasn't ready, nothing that was promised had been done even though we were assured repeatedly that it would be ready for pick up at the scheduled time. They agreed to deliver it to us once everything was complete, that was a fiasco! The worst part is we went to corporate with our awful experience and didn't even get so much as a response from them, so we thought maybe it's just this one dealer that is awful but judging by the lack of response from Corporate maybe it is a company wide issue. After all of this our good friends decided they too would like to purchase a travel trailer and because the one they were interested in was exclusive to Camping World we took them to see the sales person we had worked with because he was so great to work with and we thought for sure the issues we had after purchase would not be repeated. Well BIG mistake, they loved the sales guy we put them in touch with and bought their trailer and were very happy until they discovered their brand new camper had a leak in one of the storage compartments and it must have been leaking for sometime because the door was warped and the flooring water damaged. The dealer was called and said they would fix it, they came and picked up the trailer since we live 2 hours away and said it would be fixed in 1-2 weeks, it has been a month since the leak was discovered and their trailer is still at the dealer unfixed. They have made their first payment on a trailer they have not even had a chance to use even once and they have no idea when they will get it back. They too filed a complaint with corporate after getting the run around with the dealer and they too have had zero response. To sum up DO NOT go to this dealer they will be great until you buy and then you better pray you never need another thing in terms of service or anything because it will be a nightmare every time. read more

We went to Camping World and the first thing they want to know is what you are looking for and how much you want to spend. Everything we were shown was way over our price range and we were shown 26 to 31 foot pull behind campers when we had asked for 24ft or under. The young man that originally started to help us was very nice, but had only been working with the company about a month so he was not sure about prices and etc. Then his supervisor came and she was a real piece of work. High pressure and she kept telling me not to worry about the price. They would work with us to get a "payment" we would be happy with. Finally I just had to tell her that it was our money and we knew how much we could spend and I was not looking at any more campers that were $20,000. She said that the bigger ones had lots of storage. I told her we didn't need all that storage for 2 people, and she said "well where are you going to put all of your stuff?" My gosh, I am going camping - I don't need a lot of stuff. And we are not going out in the wilderness for months so I am pretty sure we can pick up supplies at Wal-marts, Targets, and etc along our way. She said have you seen a camper that you liked so maybe we can go from there. We mentioned a brand and model that we had seen (not on their lot) that we really did like. She told us it was not made as well as the ones they sell and blah, blah, blah. I feel sure it was a good thing we left when we did, because she had gotten on my last nerve! DO NOT GO HERE! This RV dealers reeks of incompetency and dishonesty. Brought RV here to change a part; everything covered by manufacturers warranty. The service desk had lots of know-it-alls that knew nothing and had a bad attitude. They were given name and phone number of warranty guy at manufacturer but did not call him until they screwed around and ran useless tests.and searches for recall number. I had explained to them that my vehicle was added to the recall and to call the guy whose number I gave them. They eventually got around to calling him and after two weeks had the part ordered. They installed the part but did not reconnect other electrical devices. Left my jacks undone. When I was finally called to get the vehicle I was told it would be ready ready and "out front" the next day. It wasn't. After about 15 minutes of waiting a guy drove it up, left it running and walked right past me even looking me in the eye.I noticed the side storage boxes were open, so I turned the key off and locked the boxes, When I stuck the key in it would not turn. I went back to the service desk and asked what was wrong. I explained the key would not turn and the guy behind the desk told me I was wrong. I followed him to the RV and sure enough the key would not turn. He then walked off without saying anything. Eventually the guy that had driven it up showed up with a big cart and then told me that the they had left the lights on and the battery was dead. He was there to jump it off. I asked why I wasn't told this before I drove off. He said he "forgot." His effort to jump it off failed and he got another cart to jump it off. It started. I asked the CW people to test the battery. They said they did not have a battery tester. I said that was crazy. They said thebattery would charge up on my two hour drive home. Got home, killed the engine and the key would not turn. The battery was dead. Mercedes sent someone to jump me off. I drove to a battery store and they checked the battery. Dead. I replaced the battery. I called CW twice and left my number for the dealership manager. No one called me back. read more

Jason McKelvey in the finance department truly ruined our sale, not only did we get treated like criminals, his lack of follow through and failure to communicate directly made this the most humiliating and unpleasant purchase we ever made. We backed out of the deal due to this very unprofessional and rude treatment. Will not do business with Camping World until people like this are weeded out. We feel bad for the sales staff who do a remarkable job, only to be embarrassed by the discourteous and miserable finance people there, really a shame. We have purchased 2 campers from Camping World. All goes well until you need service done. The issues started the day we went to pick up the camper. While we were getting our orientation and moving our belongings from our trade in over to the new camper they were supposed to be installing the hitch in the truck bed. 5 hrs later after we completed our tasks we went out front and they informed us that they didn't have the correct hitch and didn't do anything. Getting the install rescheduled was also a fiasco. Fast forward a couple months. We dropped our camper off June 20 for some minor warranty repairs (broken blind, paneling seam tape bubbled and dinette table installed incorrectly). 3 months later they finally called us to say parts came in and we should bring our camper in. My husband called them back and left the gentleman a meassage saying that they still had the camper. About a week later the same guy callled and left my husband a message saying they were going to return the parts if we didn't bring the camper in to be fixed. My husband called back and told them that they had the camper since June 20th. Camping World response "boy, do I ever feel stupid". Yep, you certainly should. read more

I have delt with these clowns for years. Several of the service people who you deal with first are very polite and seem to try to help you, but after that is goes downhill fast. For example; tried to charge me 1000.00 for a carburator on a generater, which i ended up replacing for 325.00 and about 10 minutes of work. Took motorhome to the clowns because water heater was getting too hot and blowing overheating valve. After picking up motorhome which they said was working great after they did repairs it still overheated. Decided to take it to a different repair shop they found that camping world clowns had cut wires to motherboard, which told water heater to stop heating, and had straight wired to element. Water heater would not shut off unless you turned it off. These clowns didnt charge me, but, they did charge warranty company 379.40 for repairs that they didnt do. DO NOT TAKE YOUR RV TO CAMPING WORLD FOR REPAIRS UNLESS IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. The absolute best place to have repairs done anywhere north of Atlanta is Apalachee rv. They are located at the edge of Winder but are courtious and these guys know their stuff. Techs been doing this for 20- 30 years. Camping world will take anyone apparently who needs a job. And the GM Jonathan is a joke. Strutts around like hes the Obama of oakwood but in my opinion is dumb as a pair of pliers. read more

Professionalism is a word that Camping World of Oakwood should look up and attempt to apply to their business vocabulary and practice. I made an attempt to purchase a camper several years ago and was treated poorly. The salesman kept telling my wife and two children that he would come back to help us look for a camper (what an exciting time for my kids...?) He never came back. We did see him riding on a golf cart by himself ...eating... something. I was invited to sit in a tiny room (with my two kids) for a long time (still not shown any campers). We left. Too bad! We just wanted to spend money on their product!! I vowed never to go there again. Well... silly me... I just did. I talked to Renzo (seemed to be a very nice salesman) until after he showed us several campers. He kept telling us that he wanted to get us just what we needed. He would ask a question (again while sitting in a little room) he never listened to our response. He was busy on the computer the whole time. We couldn't make a deal after two managers came in because they told us that they didn't think we were ready to buy a camper. I had my wife with me... trust me we were ready to buy. We left. Renzo called me twice in the following days. He said he thinks they could make me a deal (give me close what I wanted for my trade). I unloaded my camper and when I got there Renzo started the (selling transactions) with me again (in a little room). He finally pawned me off on another salesman because he told me he had another couple that came in and he needed to work with them (I saw them earlier looking at more expensive campers than mine). I bought my camper trailer from Camping World, Oakwood, GA on Sept 14, 2017 and today is Jan 5, 2018. I still did not get my tag for the trailer. I called so many times and left 6 voicemails for the clerk, but she nor anyone else has yet to call me back. I went to Camping World office and told the receptionist that I needed to talk to the clerk. Ignoring my request, the receptionist refused to direct me to the lady clerk. I told the receptionist that I have called so many times and left messages and have not received any calls back and that I needed to talk to her make sure my tag is processing but she still didn't let me see the clerk, no matter what I said. She told me that my tag is in the county tag office and I just needed to call or go to the county tag office. I called the tag office, they said they never seen my trailer tag in the system. I called Camping World again and the lady hung up the phone call on me multiple times. I left a voicemail to her that I will complaint to consumer complaint website. I hope that they will response back soon. This is unacceptable and this is not being professional. I demand that upper management call me back. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! First off, I am a small business owner that is local to camping world in oakwood, Ga. I am a mechanic. I would like to say if I ran my business and treated my customers as poorly as everyone at this location has treated me, I wouldn't be making a living!!! Very, very poor customer service!! Could not be more dissatisfied with service department. Bought $50K unit in June 2016. Was told that parts that had been broken, before my purchase on my 2017 toy hauler, on camping worlds lot were ordered prior to my purchase, it's now mid February of 2017 I still have been receiving the "run-around" about the damaged lot items on my unit that I was promised be repaired after purchase. Furthermore, I have had a long list of warranty claims submitted since mid October 2016 that never got taken care of on any level, not even parts ordered(after being lied to by 3 different service advisors, all 3 of which quit camping world inbetween all of this time) on this particular instance the unit sat unusable at the camping world oakwood, GA lot from mid October 2016 till end of December 2016 at which time I insisted on picking up my camper that I paid hard earned money for that had been unusable, by me, for nearly 2 months!!! Oh yeah, almost forgot about the nail that was in my brand new tire, which was not punctured when I dropped the unit off after coming back from moultrie, Ga, that I had to change on the side of interstate 985 after being disgusted with waiting to use my camper and picking it up after no repairs or parts were ordered while at location for nearly 2 months!!! And the dead batteries that my camper had to have replaced after camping world techs left all lights on inside camper and killed 2 $150.00 batteries that would not take a charge bc of being ran so flat of charge!!! It's now mid February 2017 and I took unit to drop off again to try to get warranty work completed before the 1-year warranty runs out, and to my surprise I pulled in on Sunday February 12, 2017 and camping world finance manager, Justin, stated that on sundays I was not allowed to place camper inside fence that's locked, oh yeah, and also, that if unit was left on Sunday I would have to sign a waiver stating that camping world was not liable for anything on, in or around my unit while outside their fence and that I was not allowed to secure my unit inside!!! Extremely poor customer service!!!!! I will NEVER make the mistake of spend a penny of my hard earned money with camping world ever again!! I will also make it my commitment to my customers(who own the trucks that pull these units these bunch of liars are selling) make sure they do not make the same poor mistake I've made by purchasing and trying to deal with camping world in oakwood, Ga.!!! DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!! If I can figure out a way to sue this place of business for the poor, deceiving, lying, lack of customer service I would!!! Just wasted 2 hours getting a price on an RV. My wife and I visited the store to buy a specific RV. We knew exactly what we wanted. We told the sales person and had to repeat the entire list three more times. He wanted to sell us insurance more than he wanted to sell us an $80K RV. He actually dialed the number of their insurance company and handed me the phone. My wife walked of to the store, just so she had something to do. Finally a manager came in, and review the prices. He wanted me to sign and buy that minute. I told him I was shopping, but planned on buying within the next couple weeks. He got up, told the salesman that the quote was an internal document. I asked if I could get e breakdown on the price since I was ordering about $10K of options. He handed me a business card that had the base price, "+++", which I assume represented the options, and my trade in value. No place on the card was the quoted price. We left, and as info, they were about $9K more than the other two dealers that gave me a written price. That was yesterday, and I've already talked to two people that had similar experiences. read more

I finally called front desk to ask to speak to the sales rep I was working with for him to take my call.the deal did not go thru so the sales rep told me I could come and get my deposit so I drove 2 hours when I got there he told me I could not get it that day because the man who signed the checks was not there.(I gave them cash). So after I got upset with him he got the man that was acting manager to talk to me he told me that my $1200.00 did not mean anything to him and that I would get my money when someone was there that could write a check or they would mail it to me that was 5 days ago I still haven't got my money. From the lot we were shown a 2014 model with multi additional option upgrades, but taken into the office and given a price on the (Wrong) 2015 camper.... From there a deal was made over the phone.... We go to pick it up.... Wait... Wrong Camper!!!! We still got a good deal but we paid more money to get the upgrades,,,, Well This is where the fun begins!!!!! THEY STILL HAVE THE CAMPER AND ITS NOT EVEN READY! NO ONE Has a clue at this location... Overworked, very unorganized and full of hot air. What a nightmare! I chose Camping world because they told me they could get to it right away. This was important because we are right in the middle of camping season. I dropped the camper off on July 13. After two weeks, I hadn't heard any thing so I began trying to contact them. I left multiple voice mails that went unanswered. Finally I drove over an hour so I could get someone to talk to me. I was told the Shop Manager had quit and that had placed them behind. I accepted this as an unavoidable problem that would account for some slowdown, but not a complete work stoppage! After three weeks I again left messages that went unanswered. I again drove the hour to have a face-to-face with them. I was told they were waiting for pricing for parts. I asked what was the delay getting prices and all I got was "not my department". After insisting on getting something done. they called the parts department and then informed me that they had just received pricing that very morning. A week later my insurance adjuster went to their facility to examine the camper and get the estimate that had been written the previous visit I made the week before. They told him they were waiting for pricing for parts! I went the next morning and after paying for 4 hours of diagnostic time I picked up my camper and took it to another company for repair. They will never see me or my camper again. I can't rate them low enough to match how I feel. read more
