We received some of the rudest customer service from the two guys working in parts & service today. We called ahead a few days before & were told that we could drop off our rv for some minor repairs. Today the guy in service acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us drop us off. When he said you know we are at least 3-4 weeks out we decided to leave, even though we had made the drive. I could go on and on about this company but short story...THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE/SERVICE COMPANY EVER!!!! They have had our brand new 2015 Crossroads Z-1 camper(which we purchased from them) in for warranty repairs for 7 weeks now and are still not complete. They do not communicate, you have to call and half the time you will not get someone on the phone. The service adviser that we were assigned to promised our camper would be finished "three times". Went to pick it up the first time he promised only to be told, will not be able to, the third warranty item is not complete!! Well before we left, adviser said would be done on Monday. Monday rolls around no call we had to call to see if ready could get noone on the phone went to adviser voicemail which he never returned call. My husband called again on Tuesday left another message the service adviser did return call and told my husband sorry but they were still working on problem and that for sure camper would be done no later than Thursday. My husband told him please advise on status and contact me for pickup, my husband also gave him his email address and my husband got his. Well Thursday came and no phone call came. My husband called, left voicemail and also sent an email, did get a reply back on that with only one sentence "not finished yet" You got to be kidding me!!! What freaking customer service!!! We are going down today and they are going to see someone pitch a fit like no other! And here I made it the long version. Very,very, very disappointed and sick! They deserve NO stars!!! read more

Terrible service department. They advertise that service is guaranteed but if you cannot get the service, they cannot guarantee anything. We took our RV in 2 weeks ago today for service, oil change, generator check, etc. Told it should be ready in less than a week. We are moving across the country and time is important. We thought it sounded good. After over a week, told that the part for the refrigerator was not in yet. WHAT? Amazon gets parts much faster than that. Now it is 2 weeks and no part yet. We are planning to leave in 2 days and no RV. Husband went there this morning and told them that if no part today, we needed the RV back so we can PACK and get ready to leave. Promise was they would call at noon. Well it is now almost 6 pm and guess what? NO CALL. He had to wait over 30 minutes this morning to even get this response. They have the refrigerator in pieces and we need to load this RV NOW. Never never go to this place. Horrible service and the people who work there I am now worried if everything will even work when we get the RV back. After looking at the 2 other reviews, I doubt they even bother to check yelp but hopefully other people will before going there. STAY AWAY Yes, they do love to push the Good Sam card....... Find another dealership for a camper. Bought a camper in December and our first use leak was discovered. Dealer was not going to fix a BRAND NEW camper. Had to contact Jayco ourselves to get any help. Jayco paid to have work done. We took camper in November 2014 and it is now Feb. 2015 and we still do not have it. CW's managers are so ineffective at interpersonal communication that it defies belief they are allowed to represent the company and meet the public. Both finance managers were rude, confrontational and non-enaging. The "bait and switch" on trade-in pricing was epic. I fell for it once, decided to let it pass, and then got hit over the head with it again sitting at the desk ready to close the deal. After burning hours and hours of time, I was morally forced to get up and leave. The fellow who gave me the "orientation" knew dramatically less about the RV than I did. He was lost. My sales guy was friendly enough, though it rang very hollow when he repeatedly said he was "going to bat for me." CW clearly allows their sales people no autonomy/authority to get any deal done. I have since struck a deal and purchased a new 5th wheel/traded mine in with one of their competitors. They offered me the same price CW did originally, only they stuck with their offer until the end. Check out Open Roads RV, family owned. I wouldn't recommend CW to any person, living or dead. I just want to start out with a strong warning and get the attention of anyone reading this review, "don't ever go to Camping World of Oakwood, GA to purchase a RV". Read more and see if you agree! My wife and I have been looking to upgrade our motorhome and found a 2018 Holiday Rambler Vacationer XE 32A at their location around late August / early September. We did some early negotiating with Renzo and after spending a few hours there decided to consider the deal he and his sales manager, Zack , had put together for us. The deal was very specific including the purchase price, sales tax, various fees (just extra $$ in Camping World's pocket), a trade in allowance and an interest rate and a monthly payment amount. We liked the deal and on Aug. 28th filled out a credit application and on Aug. 30th we gave them a deposit. We also decided to continue to search for other motorhomes in the process because there were a few problems with the RV (generator didn't work, dining table was broken, rear camera was missing and more). Renzo assured me these items would be taken care of since the unit was under warranty. We were still very much interested in that RV. We visited numerous other dealerships and researched many other brands but we were never out of touch with Renzo and were assured that the original deal was still available. We had even received texts from Renzo and a finance manager, Jason , on Sep 5th urging us to take advantage of this very good deal. We decided to continue to search for other RV's to make sure this was the one, however on Sep, 6th Camping World refunded our deposit. We kept in touch with Renzo and he assured us that the original deal was still available if we decided to purchase it, however there could be a slight decrease in the trade in value. On Monday, September 24th we arranged to take the Holiday Rambler for a test drive after we had narrowed down our search. Renzo assured me that the original deal was still valid since it was within 30 days of the credit application. After the test drive was completed we documented all the items that we believed needed to be repaired or replaced. The written list of our concerns was presented to the GM, Edward Correa, and floor manager Zack both of whom, I was told, agreed that all items would be repaired or replaced before we would take delivery. We were very excited with our decision to purchase the RV and thought our whole experience with Camping World, to this point, was very good. We agreed to come in the next day to sign paperwork. The next morning I got a call from Paul (only the messenger) who informed me that management had decided to change the terms of the sale by lowering my trade in allowance, by $13,000 and would only proceed with the sale under those terms. To say I was floored is a huge understatement! After all the time and research we put into this decision to buy the RV, Camping World pulled the old, "bait and switch" maneuver. They strung myself and my wife along for an entire month only to back out of their commitment to us at the last minute. We are very disappointed and feel we were duped by the unscrupulous tactics Camping World management and sales force employ upon honest people looking to buy from them I have requested a courtesy call from Zack, sales manager, for an explanation of why the trade in allowance was lowered so drastically, but as of yet have not received one. Consider our experience if you feel compelled to step foot in Camping World of Oakwood, be extremely cautious, get everything in writing (I have saved all correspondence between Camping World and myself) and then make the smart move and shop and/or buy somewhere else! read more

We had a great experience purchasing our new Mallard from these guys. Our sales guy Matt Wade met us at the door with a smile and a handshake. After a few minutes talking with us about our purchasing journey he spent hours showing us around and talking us through all the pros (and cons) of each. In the end I think we landed in the right camper for us. We have a busy spring and summer planned in the camper. Ill also mention the delivery team did a nice job as well. When we showed up to get the camper we were again met by a courteous team who made quick work of getting my truck setup and also walked us through our new camper end to end. We have bought 4 Campers from Camping World- 3 from the Woodstock location and now one from the Oakwood location. We opted not to work with the Woodstock location because of the poor service and because the sales rep we liked had left the company. We were looking to purchase a used toy hauler, but ultimately bought a brand new 2018 Wolf Pack tow behind. Our salesman, Scott, is nice guy and worked hard to get us what we needed. The unit had to be shipped in and I had an appointment for the closing. After waiting an hour and a half past the appointment time, the paperwork was finally ready. By this time, I was in a huge rush. The Finance department sold me lots of extras before I finally got out of there. The next day, I sat down and really looked at what I had been sold. After doing some research, I was very unhappy and wanted to cancel all the extras. I called under 24 hours and was informed that it would take a few days to resolve because every one was away at an RV show. Bottom line is this: Camping World loves to sell you an RV and they love to sell you lots of extras you don't need- for example, Extended Warranties that you can buy directly from GoodSam for less money. If you have an issue? Forget about it. It took multiple calls, working up the chain of command to get any response from them. I finally got them to agree to cancel everything. The finance manager tried to tell me that I had to come in to the store in person. Right. I said, "absolutely not. You can email me the forms and I'll sign and return." Nice try though. I'm sure they wanted to convince me to keep the $6500 worth of extra crap they sold me. It's been two weeks and when I checked with US Bank, the $6500 was not credited to my principal yet To make matters worse, on our first outing with the brand new camper, the Fridge doesn't work at all. We immediately called. They explained that we would have to leave the unit with them FOR SEVERAL WEEKS to get this fixed. This is worse than a warranty issue. This should have been checked before we even left the store! I called Scott, our salesman, on Thursday because we are leaving out on Tuesday for a trip with the camper. We assured me that he would expedite this issue. It's Sunday, and I've heard nothing. Camping World is an hour drive. This is not convenient and I'm very unhappy. They don't care. What they care about is selling RVs. My next call will be to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I just found out that the FABULOUS salesman from RV World of Georgia, who sold us our newer-used camper in 2013, is now working at Camping World, Oakwood, GA, as a Finance Manager!!!!!!!!! Good for you Cody, you so deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cody Smith was by far the most professional, friendly, never pushy, answered ALL questions/concerns, and made sure we were "happy campers" salesman when we left.......and we were!! There are not enough words to describe how impressed we were with Cody, and he is definitely at the absolute top of our customer service professionals list, as far as we are concerned............can't get ANY better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the world today, where customer service is TOTAL S--T, he is truly that breath of fresh air we are ALL looking for!!!!!! Cody you are totally FABULOUS and we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Customer service is underwhelming at this dealership. In GA you have 30 days to get your tag. I purchased my camper 9/2/19. On 9/25/19 I received an email from the company stating that my title packet is being sent to the tag office, will go out 9/25/19 or 9/26/19 and the tag office may take 2-3 days to process. I see the email 9/26/19 in the evening. Per calculations 30 days will be 10/1/19. This leaves little time for a working individual to make arrangements with their work to get to the tag office. I can echo every negative review you see here. Bought a 2018 motorhome in January, they called me in to specifically sign the deal on the 31st so they could "get it on their books". Today, March 9, 2018, I finally got my motorhome. That's after they called me back four times to pick it up AND IT WAS NEVER READY. They had done nothing. Once you sign on the line they don't care about you. My sales guy was Tim Kao---steer clear. The ONLY bright spot of this experience was when I asked that I work directly with only Natalie Parker who is their internal Service Advisor--she is great!!!! She kept me up-to-date and promised only what she could deliver. Guys--take a lesson from her---treat your customers with respect instead of neglect. read more

We had a great experience here. Our sales guy Greg was very helpful he listened to us and took us to exactly what we wanted to see. He didn't try to sell us on a larger more expensive camper he sold us exactly what we wanted at the price we were hoping. The store was extremely busy but they worked hard to keep us informed. When we picked the camper up the staff was extremely kind and courteous. They gave us a complete orientation on our new camper! They were friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't try to get us to buy a bunch of stuff we didn't need and told us how we could save money! We feel prepped and ready for our first trip with our new camper! read more

I use my travel trailer for work. Had some warranty issues so I brought it in and told my service advisor I had to have it back in 3 weeks on Fri 7/29 or I would lose my security deposit at a camp ground and would need to get a hotel room all-in-all a loss of $1000. My advisor Johnny F said I could pick it up on Fri. 7/29. When I got there found out he was no longer with them (no loss). I was Stuck! but Joseph Clark in service went above and beyond he personally took over my service order. He then went under my trailer removed a fried wire and replaced it making it possible for me to take my unit and saving me a major headache. Also I know feel comfortable that when I return the other warranty problems will be handle. Thanks Joe. read more

My parents, ages 83, made a deal for a new motor home on Tuesday, Dec. 3 with a trade in. They worked tirelessly on unloading theirs and cleaning it from top to bottom. My dad called the next day to ask if the new one had been serviced and the details taken care of in their agreement. He was told by Ross, "yes, it's ready. Come on and get it." When they arrived, the motor home had not been touched or moved from the spot on the lot from the previous day. He said that there was mistake and the wrong one was taken for service. To make this twice as bad, my parents decided to leave and as they were leaving, Zach Barbato, which is supposedly one of the managers, ran up the hall to the door and yelled at my parents and shook his finger at them and told them the deal was off! They were humiliated to be spoken to like that and very upset for the unprofessional way things were handled. Needless to say, I am advising EVERYONE to stay away from such verbal abuse. They dropped the ball on their end and my parents were the ones to suffer. We had been told that things were "fishy" there. Now we know why. Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles to get the best service ever!! read more

Do not buy campers from Camping World. They have the worst service dept. in the country. I bought my 5th wheel new and they have kept it for over 6 months! I finally picked my camper up and took it to a different company and they fixed the problem in one day. Yes, I had to pay out of pocket but at least my camper is fixed now. If you buy from them your are stuck using them for service, under the manufacturer warranty. All I can say is do your research and ask fellow campers! read more

If we'd only known what we were getting into we never would've started down this road. Short version: Liars, terrible communication, they don't keep their word, and they're rude. We purchased a used camper from them in Nov. of 2015. We were talked into the top of the line warranty and were ensured it would cover ANY problems with our camper, including leaks from seals and gaskets. It was the top of the line warranty after all. Since we were buying used from them they recommended it and said it covered everything, INCLUDING SEALS AND GASKETS. What a deal, right? Fast forward to July of 2016, less than a year later. Water leaking from both windows so we take it in. We make an appointment to drop it off at 9:00. We get there at 9:05 (not bad considering we were 60+ miles away and dealt with Atlanta traffic). We were told everybody in the service department was in a meeting and they might be out in anywhere from 15-45 minutes, "Who knows". The people we spoke with were rude and it was clear we were an inconvenience. Finally, a sales person comes over and asks if he could help us. I tell him the situation and he immediately goes upstairs and interrupts the meeting to get us some service. Good on him. While waiting a guy from a different department argues with me and tells me that it's not his department and he's not at fault. We left a complaint on the website and a lady called to apologize, said that's not how they are and it was just a bad day. Apparently from reading other reviews every day is a bad day at Camping World in Oakwood. Finally, after having to call them multiple times to get a response they tell us it's not covered by the warranty. Basically, no matter what the sales person told us we're up a creek and we were told "Well you should've read the warranty." Well, you should've hired honest sales people. They LIED about their warranty in order to up-sell us. Any company that is willing to comprise its standing with customers over a few hundred dollars isn't worth doing business with. Currently trying to contact them to pick up our camper. (We'll fix it, NOT paying $800+ to reseal the windows.) The website says they close at 5, on the phone they say we have to get there by 4 in order to pick up our camper. If we show up after that we won't be able to get it. On top of that our camper has been sitting in a lot for the last month+ getting rained on. They don't cover them or keep them inside so who knows what kind of water damage has occurred during this time. "Not our fault. You freed us from any liability when you dropped it off." Said the man on the phone. Oh, and Mr. Clark (Clarke?) doesn't answer his phone and the e-mail address he gave in his voice mail bounced back, using both spelling of Clark/Clarke. Come on! **STAY AWAY** I unfortunately bought a 5th wheel camper from this company a year ago. All was great prior to and while completing the sale. Ice cream and lollipops. Don't be fooled. Once the sales done so are you to them. All the great service and attention they showed prior to the sale is gone as soon as they have your money. They will leave you feeling like a cheap one night stand. The delivery day was a fiasco not to mention the almost month delay in delivery because they already had my money and were no hurry to get me the unit . There was no help at delivery sales or otherwise. I felt like an ex coming to get my stuff. When I got home there were several issues with the camper including that the fridge would not get cold and the water pump would not operate and I could not get the generator to start. I called in and was told it would take 3 months to get me in to address the issues. I stated that I had not owned the camper for a day yet and these were major problems preventing use of the camper. Didn't matter, that was the best they could do. As it turns out that was a blessing because when I complained to Forrest River they found another company for me to take my camper to for repairs. They recommended Open Roads Camper of Woodstock. They were able to get me right in and they treated me like I just bought the camper from them. They did excellent work with great service. Needless to say I have never been back to Camping World. For my last headache I have tied to cancel my extended warranty with Camping World and get a refund. 8 weeks later they wont return my calls or emails and no refund. I am having to file complaints with the Georgia Insurance commissioner and retain an attorney just to get my due legal refund. They are a big conglomerate who is interested in getting what they can out of your wallet then casting you off. They have big inventories and the appearance of a reputable company. You would be well advised to steer clear of Camping World. read more

I got a camper from here before and my parents have got 2 campers from here and I don't know why I thought it would be wise for me to go back when I had such a bad taste in my mouth but I thought maybe this time would be better. After this last experience today I will never go back there! I think everyone should definitely go to camping world first but DONT BUY ANYTHING ! Then you will appreciate the other places you go. Not nice people at all for the ones that I have had dealings with. I felt like I was bothering them but asking to look at something else that I wanted to see either to buy or to eliminate the idea about that unit. I went up the road to caper city and much happier results and wasn't a bunch of bs just to look and see what I was about to spend 50000$ on. What's bad is I didn't want to go there to begin with but they had a unit that I was interested in and it was the closest place that I found that had it. At this point even if someone else had the exact same unit but it was a higher price I would drive an extra hour and pay more before I purchased one from camping world. I felt like I was insulted before I got out of there. Nightmare!!!! And this was not a one time deal. Went to look at Rv's yesterday at Camping World Oakwood. Walked in the door and was asked if they could help me. I told them that I just wanted to look around. Then was told that all campers were locked. You have to have a salesman go with you to look at a camper. Never heard of that. What happens if they have more customers than sales people, do you sit there till they have a sales person? People just want to look at times and then when they decide they will find a persons. So I left and went to at different dealer on Friendship Road. They greeted me and asked if I needed any help, I told them I just wanted to look around and they said make yourself at home. The campers were open and they let us look without being bothered. They said let us know if you need anything or have questions. Look at their ratings and then look at yours. I have left two prior reviews and couldn't give this company many stars. I am leaving 3 stars now so I'm happy but not sure I would return to buy another RV. I brought my 2005 RV back for a few things that they had promised to fix, we had taken it out for a couple nights and found several other things that needed to be addressed such as AC froze up, carbon monoxide bell rang, blinker lights in the rear weren't working, water and sewage outlets were dripping. These were things that I believe needed to be fixed as it wasn't 'road ready' when I left the lot. The manager (I think that is what he was) came out and read my list and questioned why I needed all of these things done. He made me feel as if I were asking for the impossible. Customer service was defiantly not a talent this man has. I was told everything would be ready by the end of the following week, they had it for over 5 weeks. On the positive side...I spoke to Katie who was always patient with me and so helpful every time I called. She was truly amazing, warm and friendly and just wonderful! I picked my RV up today and Katie took me through it to show what was done. There were a few things that needed to be tweaked and she was very helpful having this taken care of. We have been extremely disappointed with the customer service that we received after purchasing a camper from sales person, Chris Duffee. He made many promises at the purchase of the camper that he has refused to make good. We have called numerous times on his cell phone and his office voice mail with no call backs. We have attempted to contact others above him and still have not received answers. Chris texted us and requested us to write a 5 star review. After talking to him about our complaints again, we still have not heard back from him! We were promised the floor would be repaired and it is not correct. We have yet to receive the outdoor grill. We were told the damage to the outdoor kitchen was from a one time mistake from the previous owners. We have discovered that the kitchen leaks with any rain! The slide-out broke a piece the very first time we used the camper. We did finally receive the spare tire weeks after our purchase. After leaving this review on another site, customer service contacted us very apologetic and wanted to make it right. We took our camper to them Monday, 10/28/19, for them to make the repairs. Your team contacted us immediately to try and resolve our issues. We were turned back over to our salesman and the service department. As of today , we are no further along than we were. We were promised phone calls last week to keep us updated on the plans for our repair. My husband left messages for both Chris Duffie and Will in Service. We never heard back from either of them. (same problem as before) This morning, I called and talked to Dave in Service. Dave initially could find no record of our camper in his computers. After continuing his search, he was able to locate it and was able to read me the notes about what the plans were for our camper. There were no notes written about the floor. He talked to Will and Will stated that he was checking in another customer and wanted a good call back number to call back within 10 minutes to give me an update. That was at 10:15 this morning. So here we are again. The same complaints that I posted initially. 1 week later and now almost 2 hours after a promised call and we still are no further along in this process. These were things that were promised to be fixed at purchase that were never completed. We regret purchasing this camper from Camping World of Oakwood and will never purchase from them again. I will continue to tell others my story and encourage them to also never use Camping World in Oakwood. read more

Even though we had read many negative reviews of this RV dealership we thought we'd give it a try last Saturday. Upon entering we were greeted immediately by a young man who introduced himself and then led us into a small room. That is when the inquisition began, bombarding us with question after question. When we asked if we could see 5th wheels before providing so much personal information he became angry. He first asked if we were prepared to make the purchase that day and then said he earns commission and if he shows us RVs and we don't buy we would have wasted his time. He crumpled up his sheet of paper and walked out of the room, even after I told him we would answer the questions. He pointed to the RV parking lot, told us where we'd find the 5th wheels and left. We walked out to that area and realized he was probably laughing at us as he sent us out to look at RVs that were all locked. What a waste of our time, not his. Do not buy from them!! You are just a number that they do not even count! Long story short, I put deposit on a used Winnabago over one month ago and paid them over two weeks ago. I still have not gotten to even drive it since both airs did not work. First we were told the engine one had a bad compresser, since than depending on who you speak to if there is or isn't anything wrong with them. I was told that buying a Winnabago was good because you because you could always get replacement parts in a matter of days, well not so with camping world since I just found out they no longer sell winnabagos!!! It needs a new windshield which they say they can not find one for it!,, the awning needs new fabric which they ordered from another company, they say they have it in but have to get it put on! When the man took my check and had me sign paper , he was in such a hurry that he was still talking as he ran out the door and told me the sales manager would be in to see me! After 15 mins waiting I got up and stood in the hall and found her and she said he did not tell her we were waiting!!! As of today May 19th 2017 I am still waiting to get delivery of my motor home , we leave in one week for our long trip which some of campgrounds are already paid for!! I bought a pull behind from them 10 years ago and special ordered and it went great but never again will I buy from them or recommend them. I was trying the used class A to see how we liked it before buying a new one and it will not be with them!, I would drive 500 miles to buy from someone else!! Unhappy buyer!! read more

I was looking at a camper on Saturday 1-25-2020 later in the day. We picked out one that we liked and when in to see about financing. Chris the sales guy came back with paper that said Quote with all of the cost on it. I advised him that I had a brake controller built into my truck already and he said the final paperwork would be fixed with that removed. He had a monthly payment and a down payment wrote in the boxes at the bottom. I agreed that would be ok to start to run my credit. I signed the Quote and he walked back out. When Chris returned he advised that he would need the down payment in a check for the $3000.00 to hold until the financing was completed then they would add it to the down payment for the final approval paperwork. So I wrote the check and he said no problem. Chris said nothing would be done until I was good with all terms. I did not leave with a RV. We then went home and looked over more floor plans and found one we liked more then the first unit. I emailed Chris on Sunday 1-26-2020 with the new unit that we wanted, price, and $2500.00 down payment we would like to pay. He emailed a new quote Monday and I agreed that would be good to see about financing. Tuesday 1-28-2020 he called and said I was approved for the second unit and when did I want to come in and sign the paperwork so I could start enjoying my new RV. I agreed Thursday 1-30-2020 would be the best day. I arrived home on 1-28-2020 and checked my bank account and found that Camping World had cashed the check on Monday 1-27-2020. I called the Chris the sales guy and advised him that they had cashed the check and asked why when I have not bought anything yet and the new unit we agreed on was a cheaper unit with a lower down payment. He said you signed the Quote and that's why we cashed it. I asked him again for what I had not bought anything. He said he can't help it they took the down payment and that is how all sales work. I told him I would address this with the management and get my money back as they were not to cash the check until we agree on everything. I also told him what a snake in the grass dirty sales trick that was. He told me "you don't want not of this". I did tell him of with words they will not let me write on here. I will advise everyone to stay away from the dirty sales tricks at Camping world of Oakwood GA. I will be following up with the manager to get my refund. Terrible experience. Wasted an entire Sunday driving 2 hours one way. My husband had talked to a sales person the day before and made an offer on a rig. Got there at opening on Sunday only to find the salesperson was off and there was no record of the offer. Looked around anyway as the rig we originally offered on wasn't exactly the right fit. Found a different one. Made an offer. Manager comes in and says ok, the offer is this "plus plus plus" . We ask for the out the door price. He says that is the out the door price. We asked what is "plus plus plus" THREE TIMES!!! Shady when you have to pry the breakdown out of them. Finally got the breakdown. Found a $150 error in our favor. We were ignored. Questioned these "plus plus plus" fees, were told they would have to contact District Mgr. Everything was good. Then they figured out that we needed an actual total to have the bank cut a check from our account. Oh, you're not financing???? Nope, cash. "Sorry, we can't go that low." Idiots turned down a cash sale because they were going to add a bunch of other "fees" into the finance agreement. I sent our sales person a message this morning asking for an actual amount that they were comfortable with. No response. Don't waste you time with these people. read more

It's been a few years back but, I still believe it's worth writing. I took my RV to Camping World in Oakwood, GA to get some repairs done. First, they basically carjacked my RV. It took them close to a month to give me estimates and do "some" of the repairs. What really ticked me off was this! My drivers side window wouldn't come all the way down. So, they charged me $160 to diagnose the problem. They told me that it needed a new motor. The total charge would be $1100ish. I declined the service. After retrieving my RV from Camping World I realized that they had failed to fill up the propane tank but, they didn't charge me for it so it wasn't the end of the world. Then, I took my RV to a local mechanic to get the oil changed and I showed him the window issue. He told me that the window was simply not aligned and he fixed it for under $200. I called Camping World to complain and they denied that they ever even looked at the window. In my opinion, my service rep and the service manager were both attempting to steal from me and the owner of that Camping World. So, I reported it to their main headquarters and within a month the big boss at the Oakwood Camping World called me and we had a discussion. I can't say what happened after that but, I can say that I will NEVER take my RV to any Camping World ever again! read more

(Camping world in WOODSTOCK) When my wife and I went in to purchase a camper, customer service was pretty good and the people were friendly. But the moment we purchased our camper and took it home, we realized that there were many issues with the camper that they did not bring to our attention. They also said that certain things like, mold mildew, rotten wood, ceiling leaks etc. were taken care of. Once the camper got delivered and the rain hit the camper, we saw we had leaks, black mold, mildew, rotten wood, rodent poop, you name it. We called them immediately in order to return the camper to them because we had a few days to return it and no one returned our calls and we felt as if we got scammed. We wasted thousands of dollars on something that we were told was travel and move in ready. The person that sold us the Camper seemed nice but when we told him about our issues we felt as if he kept dismissing us and downplaying the issues that we brought to his attention. We will never shop here again due to the customer service skills of the employees and the fact that they have been dishonest to us in order to increase sales. PLEASE DO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID AND DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a preowned RV from them & my deal via texts between salesman & myself was for the amount I was paying, it was to cover everything...including sales tax. I made the mistake of being in a hurry & did not read everything as closely as I should have & did not catch that they rolled EVERYTHING into the actual sale price instead of breaking it down. Had they done it per our agreement, they would pay the tax. Salesman even called to check the county for the sales tax! The end result was price of trailer was higher, salesman gets more commission, company shows more profit and I'm out an additional $1k in sales tax to register it! Not an accident! The Marion, NC location did the exact same thing to a friend of mine a week later! Also check the tires! They tried to send her off the lot with tires that were separated. After looking at the Seneca on our way home from Atlanta on September 4th and doing our on line research, and making an offer and several counter offers, we decided we were going to purchase the 2018 Jayco Seneca. We set up an appointment with the sales person for Wednesday Sept 13th. to test drive the unit and told the salesman if everything went well with the test drive we would be ready to purchase. Once the test drive was concluded and a walk through of the vehicle was completed, we were "rushed" into the office to meet with the finance manager. Part of my offer was we were not going to pay more than 4.89% interest which I had already been approved by Good Sam. I had told the Sales Manager I did not want my credit pulled again since I had already been approved. The Sales Manager, a very rude individual in his own right said that during a 30 day period it didn't matter how many times your credit was pulled for a purchase of a RV it would only show up once! Really, come on. Low and behold my credit report now shows 4 "inquiries" for a loan that I already had been approved! The finance manager came in with paper work with an interest rate way over 5% which we rejected. When he finally came back with "corrected paper work" the interest rate was 4.99%. When I questioned him, he stated there was no such thing as 4.89% even though I showed him my approval from Good Sam. We signed the paper work with a higher percentage as we had been there for over 4 hours by now! When we did our final walk thru of the vehicle we had noted several issues that had to be corrected and gave Camping World until Sunday, Sept 17 to fix whereas we could pick up the vehicle. The 4 most serious issues were a slash in the front left tire, a "bubble" in the drivers side decals, a bolt sticking out of the floor in the entrance to the 1/2 bath, and a tear in the carpet under the dining table. When we went back on Sunday, Sept 17th to pick up the unit, our initial inspection revealed none of our noted issues had been corrected. The unit had not even been washed! When my wife questioned the "technician" about the tire, he stated he could not guarantee it would not blow out on our drive home! This being totally unacceptable, she insisted the tire be changed. During the 2 hour wait for the tire change, the vehicle was finally washed!!!! After 5 hours to pick up a vehicle that was "ready for pickup" we left Camping World without a simple thank up by the Salesman or any other staff at Camping World....We now know why we were rushed to the vehicle as you will see below. On our first trip out on Wednesday Sept 20th the refrigerator would not work, a simple tech inspection would have figured this out! The cargo doors would not stay shut, the rip in the carpet and the bolt in the floor were still not fixed! The deceitful practices of the sales and finance managers was irritating enough, but the final straw was when I received our coach from service in Asheville, NC, which by the way was tremendous, I noted the "new" tire placed on our vehicle after our 5 hour wait to pick up the unit was actually a used tire. Now granted in most cases this would be acceptable but not in this case. There are other issues I could lay out as to why to stay away from this dealership, but I will not. I know I will not be purchasing anything from any Camping World unless it is an absolute emergency. My final comment is BUYER BEWARE! read more

I bought my 2018 camper 8/27/2017 and it has been a night mare trying to get things repaired at Camping World of Oakwood. The service manager is worthless, he calls to tell us that everything is fixed and ready to go. We get there to find out that the same problems are not fixed. I leave mad, pissed, stressed out and angry that I ever made this purchase. I wish that I had kept my 2007 camper. I have missed camping trips because of this dealership. None of the employees seem to be concerned. It is all about making sales and numbers. Forget customer service. My daughter is a finance manager for Toyota, I showed her my paper work, she said I hope that you love this camper because you got screwed. Sounds like a need a lawyer. All I want is for this brand new camper to not have any issues with doors, fans or party decks. We are waiting but losing our patients. read more

I purchased a used motor home from them in mid July and was told they would do an inspection on it to make sure everything was in working order. They didn't check everything. The bathroom sink had a leak when it was connected to water. The rear air conditioning unit was clogged up and started leaking water on my bed and bedspread. I was told they would send me a replace light and light cover and still have not received them. I also have yet to receive the title to the motor home 2 months later. The company mailed the title to the previous owners supposedly and now can't get in touch with them to get the title back. It has now been two months and they are dodging my calls and the calls from my bank. Buyer beware do not buy from them! They have the worst customer service dept to. No follow up to see if you are happy or are having problems. Once you sign the papers and leave the lot they are done with you! I'm still fighting with them to try and get my title don't let this happen to you. read more
