Do not I repeat DO NOT take your campers to this place to have any repairs or any type of work done. Service is a nightmare here. They won't call or update you on anything. I was in the market for a popup style camper. After repeated phone calls from one of their sales associates and the promise of getting me a good deal, I decided to purchase a used A-Liner from camping world Well, it seems that they were more interested in price gouging and getting my down payment. After running my credit report which came back with 760 score and after they received my two thousand dollars down payment, i was quoted an interest rate of 11.95%. But at the end of the day, I have myself to blame because I should've walked out, but I didn't that is how good those vaulters are. Needless to say, I put my trust and of course vulnerability in their hands and that was the slap in the face I got. When i initially expressed that i was not pleased, they called me up and offered one-hundred-dollar gift card. The manager also told me that by giving them a bad rating i am taking food out of his family's mouth. I am a disabled vet who honorably fought for my country What about my family, when you take advantage of customers like myself WITH a decent credit score but quote me a bad interest rate? Well that just confirmed the type of low-budget low level element of people i was dealing with They didn't even have the decency to refund my premium warranty payment i purchased, guess they need it more than i do To Make a long story short, I refinanced with a major bank a week later with an interest rate of 5.5% for 5yrs. These Low-level CROOKS prey upon hard working people. If I could put zero stars I absolutely would. Our sales person was pretty great and very responsive up until we gave them our money. Fast forward to pick up the walk through tour that we paid $1000 for was utter crap. We weren't shown how to do a large majority of things we were supposed to know. During the walk around we noticed hail damage on a brand new camper that was NOT disclosed between the time we signed paper work and when they could have it ready for pick up. We get it home only to realize the back slide was not adjusted properly and gauged the trim. Some nails were coming out on one of the bunks and one of the windows wouldn't latch. Ok cool, call them, tell then whats going on, we have multiple trips now planned so we couldn't take it back immediately. Took it back, they had replaced the trim and swore they fixed the problem. All looks well. We get it home again and the trim has been gauged a second time. Then our stabilizer jack switch quit working. We were forwarded to tech support and then told we had to drive an hour back to camping world to pick up a tool that was supposed to be in our camper. We took it out twice the first time we noticed there was ice build up on the inside of freezer. The kitchen faucet is very very loose. Drop camper off in February for the 3/4 time for the SAME issues. Fridge, slide, table coming away from wall, wonky latching windows and a few other things only to be told when we picked it up "all is fixed" LIES! Went through and now one of the wonky latching windows is now leaking water into our BRAND NEW CAMPER! The fridge, the tech decided we needed a whole new fridge due to some issues in the fabrication and there being noticeable gaps. The slide has gauged the trim now for the 4th time the out door kitchen springs and hinges making god awful noises like it is going to separate from the camper. We have been turned around 14 different directions with no end or fix in sight. This camper is not even a year old and is legitimately falling apart. Camping world has done NOTHING to fix the problem and continuously swims in circles. If you as a company can not stand behind the products you sell you need to just give me my money back so I can go else where. Your customer service is awful and your lack of communication makes your company look horrible. read more

I purchased a used 2014 Sunset Trail Reserve, 3/ 12/19, extended Warranty, Good Sam Membership and etc., they said I needed. (Did not received my "Binder" of paperwork until May.) Like Patsy S. in her review 3/16/2019 and so many other negative reviews, I had an appointment for July the 4th, 2019 to repair a heating, awing issues which should have only taken a few hours, to this date, 8/24/2019, still waiting on repairs. 8 weeks for a 3 hours job!! Our heat went out and when I called to make an appointment to drop off was told, we don't take drop offs on Saturday after 4 and not at all on Sunday. For working families just when do you think it's possible to get a camper in for repairs on a NEW camper that should not need repairs since it is less than 9 months old. I went to this store yesterday to look at rv's. I walked in and an individual with dreadlocks took me out to the lot. I explained I'm retiring soon and wanted to look at some rv's. He asked my name, I gave it and he put it in his phone, he then asked for my number and I explained I won't give my number nor my email as I don't want a bunch is spam ads and that I was there to look. He turned to me and said he has bills to pay and turned and walked away from me ? I asked him as he was walking away who will answer questions I have ? He kept on walking. So, I left and when I was walking out there were about a dozen sales people standing around in the hallway out the front door. We just bought a used 5th wheel from these people. They stated that the rear wall had water damage but the leak had been fixed. We've redone trailers before and was going to remodel, so a wall with some damage was no problem. The main thing is the leak had been repaired. Into remodeling, it rains. Water comes pouring in. We removed the entire wall and no repairs had ever been done. If someone else had gotten this RV it would have been a complete tragedy. Of course the entire floor had to be removed with subfloor. No return call back , naturally. For your own safety, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! The ladder leading to the roof caved into the wall because it was located where back wall was damaged. If an elderly person had used this ladder they would have been injured. This vehicle should never had been sold in this condition!! read more

Terrible customer service! Tried to purchase a used RV that needed possible repairs. It took days and multiple calls to the sales rep and the service department to figure out if the repairs could be done. I would wait on hold for long times waiting to talk to someone who had no idea about anything. After we bought an RV (from somewhere else), I tried to call the retail store with questions about products I was needing to purchase and stayed on hold so long that I hung up and called somewhere else. Needless to say, we are headed to a local RV supply store for our necessities. It's seems that Camping World doesn't care to help with the needs of it's customers. Bought a camper, happy with my sales experience, but then there's the service side... I could drone on and on about the terrible service, about how everytime we came to pick up our trailer we had to wait hours for work that was supposed to be completed, how there seems to be a complete breakdown in communications between customer, service tech, and service manager, and how we had to call repeatedly to check on work that should have taken days but took months (and refer back to the first comment about waiting hours in the store for work to be completed). Everyone is nice and friendly but that doesn't compensate for the level of frustration that they cause. I want to do business with companies that get crap done. Camping world is NOT that company. Terrible customer service. Had a trailer hitch installed. Got there at 7:55am for my 8:00am apt. They didn't show up until 9:15am. They weren't done until 11:45am. REALLY!? When we paid for the trailer hitch installment (before the apt) I Told them I wanted it wired, they didn't listen to me. When I called and asked them about it, they said, "Yea, you gotta pay extra for that". He was rude. I will go somewhere else! I suggest you do the same. DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD!! I purchased a motorhome from them October 2021. Due to the shortage my only option was to buy one from pictures. They said they would send someone to personally inspect it prior to my purchase. I agreed (third or fourth attempt) and they said it was just as good as the pictures. Once it was received it was obvious that the pictures were stock photos or when new. It was falling apart and had bugs. They agreed to let me buy a different one they then had in stock. (I had sold my house a needed it to move my family.) They promised that the batteries were replaced, new tires and various things fixed - I was charged almost $2000 for this. Fast forward to April 2022, the engine won't start and I look under the hood. The battery cable is loose and they tried to bridge the gap with a piece of metal. This should never happen! read more

My wife and I bought a new Coleman camper from Camping World in May of 2018. It was our first ever camper. The finance guy made what we thought was a convincing argument to buy some of the extended warranty coverage. Both the finance guy and the sales guy told us the camper was already covered by factory warranty on exterior for three years and the sticker from the MFG on the camper states that as well. I specifically asked both the sales guy and finance guy if there was a problem leaving the camper outside (uncovered) and asked if there was any annual or other maintenance that we should perform to protect the camper. They both told us not to worry and nothing was needed maintenance wise. Looking back we now feel we were lied to and taken advantage of just to make the sale. The camper developed a crack in the seam at the front on the roof. There was some minimal water damage inside the camper. The exterior seals around all windows have started to come apart. I took the camper in for what I assumed would be warranty repair. I was told by the service manager, Dave, that the windows shouldn't be an issue but the leak might not be covered under warranty. He told us we would have to pay about $70 for an inspection of the roof just to submit the warranty claim. And this is on an obvious, noticeable crack in the caulking/sealer! You can see it. I felt that was robbery. They had the camper about a month and I never heard anything until yesterday when I was informed NOTHING was covered and that the extended warranty garbage I was sold is worthless. Dave quoted me $5000 just to fix the roof leak and interior damage. This price quote is absurd! I then asked (because I assumed) if the camper WITH THE KNOWN LEAK was stored under cover for the last month and was told no. The camper has been sitting outside with a known leak for a month and we've had several torrential storms. They KNEW the camper was susceptible to water damage and did NOTHING to protect it. Not even a tarp. This is NOT the way to best treat customer property and to me shows they don't care about customers or have their best interests in mind. I have contacted a lawyer and plan to sue Camping World. We believe we were mislead, lied to, taken advantage of and sold a VERY expensive yet worthless warranty. Their business practices are unethical and dishonest in our opinion. As for Coleman, I guess that "3 year warranty" sticker on the door is also worthless. read more

First, unbelievably, they couldn't find the trailer we bought when we went to pick it up, so we ended up taking a different one. When we brought it in for a confirmed repair appointment we were told they don't do appointments and we'd need to leave it to get "in line." They didn't know when they'd get to us. And oh yeah, we'd have to pay them $160 to winterize it because they'd be parking it outside on their lot. We refused to pay. After the repairs, when we picked up our trailer it had a very dead battery... it didn't even charge during our long drive home! They must have left the fridge or something running while it was parked on their lot. We ended up selling our trailer and requested refunds for several thousand dollars of add-ons like the maintenance contract and gap coverage on the loan. It's been almost 9 (!) weeks now and we still haven't received our refunds... and they don't respond when I email or call them. We contacted Marcus Lemonis, who owns the company and has signs all over that say 'if you're not happy, he's not happy,' but his customer service people didn't really help. My advice, don't buy or have your RV serviced at Camping World! And form-letter responses like the one below don't help - DOING something would help! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. When you spend $100k on a motor home you expect 100k of customer service. Honestly, I would be pleased with any customer service what so ever. What I got was Chris the sales manager who barely knew anything about the coach during the orientation. I knew way more about the coach and it's systems then he did. You get a finance team who keeps you waiting for hours (I've been waiting for three hours at this point) while they try to figure out a refund for something they overcharged you on. The only good part of the experience was our salesman Corey who did his best to provide at least an average level of customer service, however, the rest of his team made it extremely difficult for him to do that. I went in last week to buy a camper and the Sales person that I had refused to work with me on a deal. After telling him repeatedly to change the deal, he went to the bank with something else causing me to get declined multiple times. The people at this location are actively trying to not make a sale, and it's frustrating because I'm clearly a customer that's willing to buy. It took over a week for them to hear back from the bank.... REALLY? For a deal that I specifically said we weren't going to do... meanwhile the staff didn't have the nerve or common courtesy to speak to me when I'm the one purchasing the camper. They went through my mother in law who had to relay the information to me. Unless someone decides to work with me, I'm taking my business to a dealership that wants to sell a camper. read more

I was concerned about the reviews, but I was just going for parts. My experience was excellent! Dustin in customer service was awesome. Helped me with everything. I needed to replace a vent cover. Dustin Said they could squeeze me in. The service gentleman Nick said there was some dry rot in the vent housing and got one more part and did the job great for a VERY reasonable. We just recently bought a camper from Camping World in Oakwood, Ga.We are pleased with the camper but not pleased with the finace dept.We were told that the Good Sam Warranty was added to our monthly payment. We did not know it would be added to the amount we finaced...this was an extra $6800. We were not aware that they added this to our loan until weeks later when we got a letter from the bank saying our loan had been adjusted. When we contacted camping world about this adjustment, they claimed they had disclosed this info when in fact they had not. The issue is in the way the Good Sam Warranty is presented to you.Nothing is mentioned about the amount financed. So please be aware of this if you choose to use Camping World. If honesty, integrity, and transparency are qualities you seek from a RV dealer then don't mess with these guys. They value profit over people, from the GM all the way down to the finance and sales department. Don't be fooled by thsir charming personality, it's just a facade. They are professional con artist that are trained to prey on peoples emotion. Any verbal promises they make if you do consider or decide to move forward with a purchase, be sure to "make" them putting in writing and sign it because they will do the same to you.. If you're doubtful walk away and don't turn back, but if you're still on the fence, ask your sales person if they allow a "cool down" period, if the answer is yes... again, get it in writing before signing any documents. Stop with all the positive comments on this page and please listen to this. We had an appointment at camping world to find our camper. At the end of the appointment we had found 'the one'. As we were sitting talking about numbers, the salesman pushed a phone in front of us and told us to write camping world a good review. I thought it was a little odd behavior as we had not officially moved forward with the deal at that point, but obliged. Fast forward to five hours later, three hard inquiries on our credit reports and practically falling asleep on their desk, we could not appropriately meet our numbers. I told them many times, extensively not to charge my card for any deposit. 1,000 dollars later, our card was charged saying that it was refundable. It was a pending charge as of yesterday, the salesman nearly stated: this is refundable and it was just to hold the camper until the finance office could get in touch with us in the morning. We left feeling defeated. Woke in the morning and pulled out, saying please give us our deposit back-we do not feel right about this at all. Our deposit has not been returned as of yet. The best decision we made was to walk away from the hassle and this deal. Guys. Please listen and beware of this company. If you feel in your gut, something is not right- walk away! Do NOT buy from Camping World in Oakwood, Georgia!! We purchased a 2020 Coleman RV from them in May 2, 2020. We picked it up for the first time on May 8, 2020. First thing that went wrong was we could not open the back door. It went down hill from there!! We slept in it that weekend. No heat was coming out of the vents in the bedroom or bathroom. Woke up on Saturday morning May 9, 2020. When we awoke went into the dining area... the table top was coming apart. My fiancee went to get a drink out of the refrigerator and the handle fell off in his hand!! I happen to look up and see a piece of rolled up notebook paper in the return vent. Went to take the paper out and the vent was broken and fell down on me. I called returned my camper on May 12, 2020. Was told we could pick it up June 5, 2020. Well June 5th came camper was NOT ready!! Was told our parts would NOT be in until June 15, 2020. We received a call on June 4, 2020 stating our parts were in. Well here it is June 12, 2020 still NO camper!! Talked to Camping World today June 12, 2020. He went on to say after parts come in they have them fixed within a week. Guess what?? LIES!!! We still have NO CAMPER!!! Now they saying they are two ahead of us and NOT sure when they will get it in a bay to be fixed!! I have even called the corporate office with NO satisfaction!!! Recently went in to purchase a camper..basically 3 1/2 hours of my life wasted...talked to finance guy and salesman...salesman asked me if I can give him a credit card to show his manager as a sign of good faith and he would hold it...I told him ok...but I do not want charges until I heard back from finance dept what interest rates and terms they had available...and specifically said, "do not charge card and make sure you don't lose it." He comes back a half hour later with some other papers and said he got me some rate like 7%. I said no way he said I would need to put more down and that is the best unless I did...I said I wanted a shorter term and a lower rate or forget it. He said he would go back to finance and have them work on it...but to sign the paper first. I said what paper...he showed me a credit card receipt with $500 charged. I said I didn't authorize that charge and I'm not signing it. I said you have got to be kidding me.... I specifically said not to charge my card because I wanted to see what the final numbers were before I agreed to anything. I told him what is this a scam? He proceeded to say he got confused...and try to spin it and say, "Do you think I would scam you?" I said I didn't give you permission and you did it anyway...I am not signing that receipt. He said that he would go and check and that it wouldn't matter because we will make a deal. Well another hour and half passed and two hungry kids waiting...I literally had to walk out. He ran out and offered to buy lunch for the kids...We had plans that evening and the kids were hungry...no way! Next morning I get the same thing...he says deal is ready via text and interest rate is 6.9. Can't make this stuff up...after just before we ran out door they offered 6.5. I have repeatedly told him that I will pass and make sure they credit my credit card charge that I DID NOT authorize to charge. Credit Card company has been notified and I am ready to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have NEVER had such a bad taste in my mouth. Seriously you think about spending time with family and the memories that could of been and you have salespeople who do this nonsense. I WANT MY CREDIT CARD that was charged WITHOUT my permission charged back. Update: So I was called and credited my credit card..Camper World turned it around by giving me a great price with a decent interest rate. Went to Camping world 3/92017 to buy a camper that day . Either cash or finance. The salespeople really didnt show us what we wanted to see. The salespeople do not know the prices of the campers . It depends on the customer. We finally seen one, they didnt know the price. The counter top was broken, the floor was all ripped, both tables, there was two, were broken, the door to the bedroom was broken the TV wire was broken, the cover to the hot water heater outside was broken off, it was taped up to hold it on. And still... they couldnt give us a price. All he kept saying was well... it depends on financing and keep in mind, it is a used camper. Lol. Yummm. We bought the RV on March 4th and delayed delivery until April 1 due to a trip to FL. On our way up from FL to GA when we were 3 minutes from Camping World, the service manager called to say the RV was NOT ready for our 11 am appointment. He said the control panel had failed and when replaced, caused another part to fail. Actually, the panel wasn't working when Tim showed us the home on a March 4th, and he tried to reboot it, so they were aware at the time of purchase, but chose not to deal with it until the day of delivery. We spoke with a manager who assured us that it would be ready in 2 hours, so we went to Starbucks. He called us over 2 hours later to say the part had to be ordered and he had no idea when it would be in. Since we sold our home in GA, the RV was supposed to BE our home for next next year or so. We had no choice but to drive on to Charlotte to my brother's house and impose upon them until the RV is ready. It has been 48 hours since we heard from them and we are still waiting. Very disappointing to not have even a call of apology from the owners. read more

The finance department tried to sneak in $10,000 extra on our paperwork, then stuck it in a folder for us to see later. Getting this straightened out was a major ordeal. Several things were supposed to be done before we left with it, (new thermostat, thorough cleaning, outside paint protection, etc. ) , none of which was done. They insisted it was but couldn't tell us who did it and had no record of any of it being done. After literally being there all day, we took it home. After three months of constant questioning and pushing to get things done, things listed on our contract that they owed us were still not done. Each department works independently of the other, and nobody knows what the other department is doing!, A new AC was finally put in, but on our first trip after that installation, it still doesn't function right! Was looking at used Motor home online on Their website. I made contact via the phone and was advised someone would contact me. A short time later Geo contacted me. We talked all day about the motorhome and he answered all questions I had. We made an agreement that my wife and I would come see it on Saturday. Geo kept asking me to make an offer and I told him I would need to drive and inspect it first. Geo said I could put a fully refundable $500 deposit down to hold the unit, I advised him that if it sold it sold and that at this point, I wasn't putting a deposit. The next day Geo text me that they had dropped the price. After talking with him all day and getting more information, he again asked me to make an offer. Due to a couple issues with the unit, Geo had told me they couldn't get it financed through their lenders. Due to this I called USAA and they approved me for whatever amount I needed to purchase a motorhome. I told Geo that I had financing ready and I made an offer I made an offer of $8,000. Geo said that offer sounded good and that in order to take the offer to the manager he would need to have a $500 deposit. I told Geo that was fine and gave him my credit card info. A few minutes later Geo told me that the manager was not accepting any deposits because they had so many people call wanting them to hold that particular unit. Geo said that I needed to get down there as fast as possible if I wanted to look at the unit and make an offer, due to the interest in it (2 hour drive). I asked how many of those callers had placed a deposit and was told none. I asked if the manager was willing to accept my offer, contingent upon the unit being in the condition they said it was. Geo stated that the manager wasn't going to consider my offer until I saw the unit in person. I then withdrew my cash offer and denied them authority to charge my card. Playing games from the manager tower costs you customers. I'm sure one of those many wanting you to hold that unit will appear......... Since they have turned off reviews on Facebook page, I'll just leave this right here. UPDATE, at the urging of the Facebook messaging from Camping World Oakwood, I gave them my telephone number......... Yep you guessed it NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT TO ME. This place is ridiculous and I'm glad I didn't waste my time and money driving the two hours to deal with idiots. BTW the motorhome still sits on their lot, unsold, I'm guessing all those potential customers will arrive at any moment!!! read more

Be very careful when you do business here. If you are financing an RV,don't sign anything untill ALL the paperwork is filled in and you can read every line. $6000. was added to my contract after I signed the paperwork and I was held up till closing time before everything was released. When I got home (250 miles away) and looked over papers,the loan officer had filled in every possible add-on known to man and the sale price of $13309 had been changed to 16000.
