We made a purchase deal with Hailey from a Facebook ad. Their location was about 115 miles away. There were nice looking phots online but NONE with the damages included. The floor was popping up all over the place. There were circular saw cut marks in the middle of the kitchen. One of the mirrors on the bedroom closet was completely broken and there were tears in the awning with tape on them. None of that was shown or listed! Hailey attempted to tell me the problem with the floor by using a word that she knew nothing about! I told her that is my exact industry that I have owned a business in for decades! I also had asked her before we drove over if this unit had the winterized insulation package. She replied and said that it did. She is a lying and deceitful fast talking and pathetic salesperson with no professionalism! We knew this unit was used but we were still considering the purchase. My wife asked her if the price could be reduced due to all of these undisclosed problems. She said no. On top of that we were told that we "must" by some insurance from them in order to drive it off the lot! I knew that this was yet another complete lie. I stood up and announced that there would ve no purchase from such a lying and deceitful business! We left. At this point they are still holding out $500 deposit! They have had 5 hours to refund it. Updating my review, but wish I could give ZERO stars. The below customer contact never emailed me back. I asked what kind of recon work they did but apparently there's none because he had nothing to say. I've also been made aware of another scheme CW partakes in. When a new camper is delivered to the dealership, they are paid for repairs made and the camper is prepped in "ready for sale" mode which they are reimbursed for by the manufacturer. They then are charging the buyer AGAIN for those prep fees on the back end. This is how they are able to advertise campers for lower prices, but then justify increasing the price at the last minute to rope in the customer at the last minute either without them knowing or when they feel it's too late to back out. JUST RUN. Do your research. Camping world is shade AF. They are now partnering up with Forest River dealerships and buying out others such as Lazydays. Try to stick to smaller mom/pop shops. They are going to more honest, most r experienced with repairs, and going to try to keep you as a customer. I will never go back. It took 6-7 months for an issue with a wall panel that needed to be replaced. We kept getting excuses why parts were not available. Some parts were taken from the outside of our trailer while it was in their lot waiting repair (they did replace the missing parts). Our trailer was returned to us without some additional requested work being done. They gave excuses saying I'm sorry we don't sell just a vent cover you have to replace the whole unit. The service person said they didn't check the roof because it wasn't on the work order, but they charged us for roof work after the tech said he did repair and but there was little evidence that any work was done on the roof at all. They tried to bill us twice for an insurance deductible. read more

We purchased our motorhome the end of January and were sold all the services including ceramic coating of both the exterior and interior. we left it I. their care to be picked up the end of April when weather was better. It is not apparent that either service was completed. the interior was dirty and same easily cleanable spots were in obvious spots as when we viewed at purchase. when asked if they could show me any documentation of the service being completed, all they could show me was the receipt of purchase from the day we bought. No one at the dealership had the time of day to help us with minor questions or even to check us out for merchandise purchases. clearly were unimportant once the initial transaction was completed. Zero rating. We are first time buyers. We went to CW Oronoco MN. We viewed at least 5 campers and were finally shown a Hideout camper. We were told that it had just come in within the last few days and had not been added the their website yet, reducing the price. It seemed like a nice deal and the camper otherwise appeared in good condition, except needing a good cleaning as it was dusty. We went and gave our down payment. We ended up meeting their finance guy Blake, who immediately gave me a bad feeling. He tried to sell us some warranties but they didn't seem like they were beneficial to us. I declined. I arranged with our sales lady to bring a cashiers check on the day of pick up. A few minutes later, Blake came up to me and very condensendingly sat down (like I was a child), and told me I needed to bring a cashiers check on anything over $10000, "Otherwise I will have to call the IRS on you, and nobody likes that." I asked him why he would be calling the IRS on me? He said because having that much cash is suspicious. I explained I had already arranged to bring a check. He had very exaggerated body movements, unusual mouth movements (slack jaw then chomping), he was sweating and had very rapid speech. He made me very uncomfortable. On the day we came to pick the camper up, we had been pressured to get there at a certain time (even though I explained we had to finish our work shifts.) We ended up leaving work early to get down there after they kept insisting. We ended up waiting for nearly an hour to even speak to anyone. We did our camper walk through. I noticed it was not plugged in as they had shown us the cable and said it needed to be connected to a 30 amp plug in. I also noticed much dust on the outside cooking range, as it had not been cleaned. They stated they were going to finish cleaning it. Everything seemed ok, however as first time buyers, we weren't entirely sure what to expect despite trying our best. When we sat down to sign the papers (with Blake) I had questions about how to verify their inspection and that it had been completed accurately. Blake interrupted me before I could ask my question. He stated that "We arent in the business of selling lemons. With that being said, if you leave here and drive it up to Casey's and it breaks in half, that isnt going to be our problem." This was very off putting to me, and extremely rude. I continued to ask my question and they were able to print out a form saying what had been inspected. We finally left with our camper. Our first night using it, we immediately had problems. The AC unit turned on, but did not get cold. We gave it several hours and tried different settings, but it blew lukewarm air. Then, after being at the camp site for roughly 10 hours only, all of our tanks (grey and black) were reading full or almost full. We took it to the dump station to empty it, then limited use to them and used the campgrounds facilities. Still, by the next morning, the tanks were saying full again. At one point we turned on the bathtub faucet and within a minute or two, the tub had filled as the drain was clogged, even though we had never used it. I also noticed some electrical issues with some of the speakers in the camper. We ended up needing to purchase a portable AC unit to finish the camping trip due to the extreme heat. We brought the camper home and my husband climbed up to inspect the AC closer. After removing the hood, the vent/grill was extremely dirty, caked in black goop and appeared to have never been cleaned or serviced. I called CW and tried to speak to our sales lady Rachel. However I was very unluckily redirected back to Blake, who immediately said "You guys never bought a warranty. Do you want to buy one now?" I reiterated that I was not calling about a warranty, but stated I was concerned that the inspection (that costs $1500) was not done properly. I stated the concerns and what we found with the AC. I was then told that the camper had working AC when it was there and that it was plugged in and running when we did our walk through. I was very clear that the camper had not even been plugged in at all when we arrived and only the basic power from the battery was on. I questioned what can be done as I am sure the inspection and basic cleaning was not performed as they had stated. I waited on hold for roughly 20 minutes for their service department to speak to me. They offered me to come in and have it looked at for free, but would charge me any servicing. I am totally upset, angry and disappointed. I see now based on our service and seeing previous reviews that this is a shady and untrustworthy establishment. They can offer no real evidence that these inspections were actually performed, except word of mouth. Completely disgusting and I will never be going back. We are new to camping and at some point, wanted to up-grade. They will not be getting our money. Definitely dont want to ever deal with Blake again! read more

If I could ZERO stars I would! If you are thinking of buying from here trust the reviews and take your money elsewhere. We recently bought a camper and had to have some repairs done immediately after we had set up at our seasonal site. We paid for the elite service plan and they won't even reimburse us the $300 it cost to repair the camper they sold us. They say the service department inspect and repair used campers when people trade them in but they don't. They just flip campers and sell a service plan they don't honor. Nothing but bs and lies from the men working there. Ladies, tell your husbands to call my husband before buying here and he can tell them about his experience with the service department and management. We reached out to the corporate Camping World and received a reasonable offer for our camper. So we took our camper into the Oronoco Camping World. We had previously had the camper inspected by an RV Service repair company that has been in business in Owatonna for over 40 years. They inspected the camper and stated that it was well kept, basically new, everything working as it should. After dropping the camper off, we received a call two days later stating that our lock did not work. We had just locked up the camper to bring it into Camping World, so were unsure why the lock would suddenly stop working. I asked them to please not do anything, we would come and get the camper and go elsewhere. Upon arriving, we found that they had taken the lock apart and failed to tell us that they had broken the key in the lock. They also told us that "the camper was in rough shape and had water damage." We had the camper reinspected and there is no water damage anywhere. The team there damaged our camper lock and lied to us. After speaking with the RV Services, they said that this is how Camping World operates. They've seen it over and over. Absolutely disgusting. read more

I thought my first experience working with the Camping World in Monticello, Minnesota was bad but my experience with the Oronoco, Minnesota location has them beat hands-down! I honestly do not have the time to detail everything that has happened in our interactions with this Camping World. I would just simply suggest that nobody even step foot in the door of this business! Unless you want to be dealing with them for months on end to get a problem solved, you just might want to head on down the road to Hilltop to do your business. We have had our camper for 18 months and the only time we didn't have problems with our camper is when it was stored for winter. We stopped in three times because calling and even stopping is useless! Sold it us saying everything was clean and perfect to find mouse poison on the floor where our German Shepherd could have ate that! had nothing but problems with it such as Air conditioner, and refrigerator. not including the water heater.Grey water tank that wasn't wintereized? we paid over$25,000 and they offered me $5000 after we had everything fixed! stay as far away from this place as you can! read more

We went to this very small Camping World looking for a gift. The handicap parking was solid ice and extremely unsafe. The young lady at the front just stood there watching us struggle with getting the wheelchair through the door. She immediately told us the parts person was not here. (We were not looking for parts). She did nor ask us what we were there for. The store has almost no gifts. My sister just bought an RV. We told the young lady what we were shopping for. Her only response was a palm tree. We told her about the car park. She just shrugged her shoulders. Could care less. This is a horrible store. read more

very poor service department. Brought my RV in for service. I had an appointment but when I got there the service associate was at lunch. Someone else checked my RV in. Two days later I received a call with an estimate on the requested service but was told it needed $9,750.78 in further repairs. I said no. The service associate said to just submit a claim to my insurance. one of the items listed was a small tear in my awning. I informed the service associate that that tear was there when I bought the motorhome and I would not file an insurance claim. He said he would put together an insurance claim and email it to me. I ignored the email because I didn't plan on filing an insurance claim. One month later I called to find out the status of the repairs I requested. I was informed that they hadn't started work and hadn't even ordered the parts yet. Be aware their service rate is $199/hr. I since have called around and found service rates in the area range from $159 - $180/hr. It's all about up sales on service. I don't recommend!! Addendum: I did reach out to Camping World corporate prior completing this review. The woman I dealt with on the phone was very pleasant and understanding. She me over to the Service Manager at the Rochester store and I can immediately feel that he is on the defensive and our conversation was a bit contentious. Never once did acknowledge my complaints/issues. I was not happy with his offer of $200 off of labor. I again went to Camping World Corporate and was told someone would contact me in 24 hours to address my issues. 72 hours later I called Camping World Corporate because no one has contacted me. Today I talked with the Regional Manager and we came to an agreement. One that I am not real happy with but acceptable. Again, I do not recommend having any service work done at this Camping World. This store operation is a mess. Logan, my salesperson, didn't know what know what came with the camper. I was told an LCD Screen was coming with for the backup camera only to be told later that its an app I must use on my phone. This app / connectivity to the camera is not good. They don't either know or tell you what you should purchase with your camper. From the water hose, to the sewer hose, to filters, and on and on they don't give you any insight on all of the various items you need to buy. Not even a recommended checklist. I have had to figure almost everything out from the Internet. I did know that I wanted the stabilizer hitch, second propane tank and powered jack. I had them added to the deal and they would be installed before I picked up my camper. I had to delay picking up the camper by a few days because I was having the wiring and brake equipment installed in my vehicle. When I go to pick up the camper none of the work was done. I was told I didn't pay for the items or the install, which I clearly did. Once that was finally sorted I was told I would have to come back another day to pick up the camper. Now mind you I purchased all of the service plans and warranties since this was our first camper. We are getting it ready to take out for the first time and notice a problem with the toilet. I call the store they tell me to call an 800 number, the 800 number tells me to call a different 800 number, that 800 number told me to call the manufacturer. I call the manufacturer and get voicemail. I called the store back and they said I would need to bring the camper in and drop it off and it would take 1 to 4 weeks to get the camper back if the repair was approved. This is a brand new camper. I hook water up to it for the first time and the toilet has a water leak in the back assembly. I was told there was mobile repair if I was near a Camping World. Was told SORRY they don't do that for this type of issue. I have put some Gorilla Tape over the leak and that is helping a bit... at least not as much water is coming out. You should be very careful where you purchase a camper. There is more to this story... but this contains the main points. read more

I was charged a $5,000 dealer prep fee at the Camping Worrld - Rochester MN. When I picked it up my Tiffin motorhome, the windshield wipers had a foot of rubber hanging down, the driver's side window didn't work, the blackout screen control did not work, the stabilizers did not return to their stored position, and the outside light did not work. I asked for a breakdown of what I received for the $5,000 dealer prep fee. They said they could not provide that. I reached out to the complaint dept at Camping World and after two months they also said they could not provide that info. Drive 2 hours to get to there facility then sat there for 6 hours getting hitch installed to bring home the new camper, then find out they ordered the wrong part that goes on the camper hitch for the pull right system!!!! Then offer me 50 dollar gift card, for my time!!! DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH CAMPING WORLD/GOOD SAM! GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I brought my camper at the end of July 2022 in for a full service and have them fix anything that needed to be fixed in Oronoco, MN Camping World. I'm now just getting it back in December 2022. I called and emailed multiple times to get updates. I was told I will get a call back multiple times for a status update. Great! NEVER HAPPENED! Finally, I get in touch to make an appointment to pick up my camper for a half hour appointment in beginning of November 2022. I was charged the full amount to include one part that was never installed as it was on back order. That part I was tracking on back order. When I should have been charged only for what was completed. I was also told everything will be installed and completed for when I came to pick up the camper and ready to go. Well long story short, 3 hours later, after they find my camper and some other things that needed to be done, a short trip next door with my camper, thinking I finally have my camper back, only to realize they didn't do anything to it. So back to Camping World! One of the clerks that was still there, that earlier stated yes all parts are installed except that one part, then states the parts are still in the back, and not installed, but the winterization was, after I returned with my camper. Therefore I shouldn't have been charged for anything except the service and diagnosis portion for everything as winterizing was on the house for having the camper for so long. Fast forward a few weeks later after I contact corporate with a complaint and the Rochester location outsourced my back ordered part, and everything is completed and my camper is ready. Great! Well they added $1,000 to the bill and the explanation is said from the operations manager at Rochester that the previous clerks never added the parts to the work order, and that what I paid previously (I was reimbursed when I brought it back) now giving it this bigger bill. Great, and that's my fault how? I had a full bill to pay, they did give me a $200 service discount and delivered my trailer for free, but I had to go to Rochester again prior to delivery to do a walk through. I might as well bring it back with me. Well I'm glad I didn't bring my truck and waste more gas and maybe change my mind on delivery as I was told that it was winterized a few weeks prior right? Well guess what they were doing when I arrived for my walk thru? Yep winterizing it after I reminded the manager the morning of pick up for an afternoon inspection. So it wasn't ready! What was the point of me showing up for a walk thru when you're just going to read off a paper on what your mechanics did! Your one of the managers! You should know what is going on! I do know how to read! A walk thru means that you walk me through my camper and show me what you fixed. They just wanted my money and signature. I have never dealt with such a terrible and unprofessional business. Corporate is only a mediator/peacekeeper so it must be a franchise issue or something for no one wanting to make things right. So I get a small tiny $200 service discount and free delivery is what they feel is fair? For months waiting, 3 additional hours at the place when it should have only been a half hour max! Oh and the last trip for a extremely poor if you call that an inspection which wasn't. Sure! At least they were responsive, in a timely manner with corporate and Rochester location after I contacted corporate! Funny how that works! Goodbye camping world/Good Sam!
