I have been a patient of Dr. Diane Campo for the past 10 years. It is clear to me now, how fortunate I was to have had the best available eye care during this period. As my cataracts progressed starting in 2018, Dr. Campo educated me and made me extremely comfortable every step of the way. She closely monitored the critical parameters during the many months of examinations leading up to my surgery in Jan 2021. Dr. Campo carefully explained new technology developed in Europe, which she believed was the best match for my case. She was spot on! Post surgery I could see perfectly, no longer requiring glasses and was able to drive at night again. There were virtually so side affect other than the standard healing process. I believe doctors are God's angels; and I was blessed to have Dr. Campo taking care of me for this important procedure. The office staff is friendly and well trained. Nicole, the office manager is very professional and efficient and had made several phone calls on my behalf to verify that the correct charges were posted to my account. So today as I reflect back on my experience, I currently have a high quality of life again, can see extremely well and enjoy daily activities without compromise. Thank you Dr. Campo. I only went there to see Dr. Saunders who I was a patient of before, and who relocated to this practice. The receptionist at the front window is rude, nasty and has an attitude problem! She is the last person I would want greeting my patients when they make or arrive for an appointment! Horrendous! I was warned but tried anyway. My friend is a former patient of Dr Campo and went to her with an eye issue that was later properly diagnosed by another doctor as an allergic reaction! Dr Campo diagnosed it as dry eye and gave her a bottle of eye drops and sent her home!! Don't waste your time here. This place is a trainwreck! Once is enough for me! Dr. Hilal-Campo is a wonderful ophthalmologist. I am very impressed with the way she handled my problem recently. I had an emergency issue with my eyes and I was able to get in to see her the same day I called, even though I was a new patient. I had had a bad reaction to an eyedrop that had been prescribed by the clinic, which resulted in my eyes being extremely red and, additionally, the skin on my face around my eyes had become very swollen. I was very nervous about my eye and I was in pain. Dr. Hilal-Campo knew exactly what to do. She took into account that I am very allergic to many things and she knew what to prescribe, and I am amazed at how well and how quickly it worked. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, and really listens to the patient to consider their particular needs. If you look at the pics, you can see that she was able to get my eyes and skin back to normal, and it took less than a week! She is a very skilled, very professional, and amazing doctor. Dr Campo is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. She takes her time with you and leaves no stone unturned. I went to see her for my vision and my dry eyes. Vision taken care of but was really remarkable was that she asked all sorts of questions to get to the bottom of my dry eyes. Turns out it was from a medication I was taking that I didn't know caused that. I was able to find a different medication which works the same but didn't cause dry eye syndrome. I don't know that many doctors that would go out of there way to help you like that. Needless to say my eyes are in great shape now. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. The wait time is minimal which is shocking by how much time Dr Campo spends working with you. As of now I have 3 family members seeing her and they all love her. read more

My Husband recently had cataract surgery with Dr Hilal- Campo. He happens to be a cancer patient and has some limitations due to years of chemotherapy. This was never an issue with Dr. Campo or her staff. He was treated with respect, kindness and never made to fell like he was disabled. Since I work in the health care field I did some research when I was looking for a new opthalmologist for my husband and myself. When a patient of mine who works in the eye care field recommended Dr. Campo he said " you won't be disappointed", and I wasn't. My husband and I both have been going to Dr. Campo for many years and find her to be outstanding. A couple years ago I felt I had something going on with my eyes and made an appointment to see her. After the exam she immediately called NJ Retina and had me go there the next day. I had an infection that could take my sight. I will have to be seen by the retina specialist the rest of my life and Dr. Campo monitors me closely in between. My husband has glaucoma which Dr. Campo monitors while the specialist she recommended keeps a constant watch. Dr Campo is a wonderful person and Doctor. I have been a patient of hers for years...my family too! When a family member in the military was told there was a suspicion of eye cancer, she never left my side. I trusted her completely as she has helped me navigate through a very difficult time. This is not going to sound real but it is. When my military family member flew home, and he was on the last flight to land that morning, Dr Campo actually drove miles in a horrific snow storm to complete an eye examination and to ensure the best care if eye cancer were to be a true diagnosis. Dr. Campo is a straight-ahead, no BS, professional. She diagnosed my particular type of cataract quickly, told me I'd need surgery, described the surgical process and advised me on my choice of lens implants. Her office staff worked with (and around) my (sometimes difficult) insurance carrier to procure my Rx eyedrops. They were punctual in all their communications, returned my phone calls promptly, and answered all my questions -- and I had a LOT of questions. I can't say enough good thing about her- she is a consummate professional. She is kind, caring, thorough, and meticulous. I have seen her for emergencies - a corneal abrasion in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic, where she was as thorough and as complete as if I was sitting in her office, to general eye exams where she makes sure my prescription is perfect. I just saw Dr Campo again for a medical emergency, called from my primary care MD's office and they fit me in immediately and Dr Campo gave me a complete exam and then called my primary and advocated for me to obtain more thorough treatment than I was getting. My family and I have used Dr. Campo as our eye doctor for over 20 years and I can not say enough good things about her professionalism and knowledge. Recently I was in her office for treatment for dry eyes and found out that she developed a makeup line specifically to help with dry eyes. I tried both the eye lash serum ( to grow eye lashes) and the face spray ( hygienic spray) and found them both to be game changers. My eyes actually feel better. She's amazing!! Had a severe injury on my cornea and am so glad I went to see her. She didn't waste any time assessing my eye and knew exactly what to do. Noted that a med from a previous doctor was causing the injury to get worse. Took me off it and prescribed something that actually worked.
