I have been going to this fabulous Deli for the past year and a half and have never been disapointed. The owners are on site daily and know most customers by their first name. The food is great and the service is always friendly and fast. The exterior patio is amazing with lush tropical landscaping and waterfalls cascading into Koi ponds. This place should be called "hidden cafe"....Left, right, what, where??? So after finally finding this place.. all I can say is yummmmm. They have a big out door seating area with a nice water fountain... inside is quite the opposite reminds me of a cafeteria... but not in bad way.. I ordered the Carlsbad classic.. comes with turkey, avocado, sprouts... wow this sand which was Hugh and so freaken good. You can tell this was made of fresh ingredients.. So I went on a Thursday and got the Teriyaki chicken special. It was good. Especially for the price and the portion size. I mean I can't really complain because this cafe is literally a minute away from my work place. If you work around it, you should definitely try this place out. First time I went looking for this place I went into the wrong deli.There is another one in another building near Campus Cafe. $6 for a killer sandwich or $4 for soup... Yummy! I LOVE the Campus Cafe!! The owners are always so friendly and cheerful. The food is great. For breakfast the Sunrise Burrito and the Sunrise Quesadilla are excellent. I like sandwiches and this place has some great ones. I had the southwestern which had ckn and jalapeño (recommended by worker) and it was great. They would have been a 5 star but the inside of the sandwich lacked luster. I really enjoyed the bread though. Relative cost. It was about $6.50 or so. My wife found Campus Cafe on Yelp but when we pulled into this office park thought we had the wrong address. To our surprise it was tucked into a beautifully landscaped courtyard with a great deal of outdoor seating. And the food!!! The food was outstanding at a very reasonable price. I love this place. I come in 2 or 3 times a week for the spicy pork special on Wednesday, the chicken teriyaki on Thursday and sometimes the bi bim bap on Friday. The sandwiches are also delicious, though it's hard to get away from the authentic daily specials. The staff is super friendly and make an effort to learn your name if you come in regularly. Construction on the outside area is almost complete and it will be a pleasant place to sit and enjoy your delicious lunch. read more

The food is incredible. It's all made fresh from scratch and trust me, you can taste it. The family is so sweet and they truly love doing what they do. My Mom and I went in today and our food was delicious. The front yard is gorgeous and beautifully landscaped. The cafe itself is clean and well-organized. It was a GREAT experience and while we can't go in multiple times a week, we definitely would if we could. We'll be back though. Coming from someone who has gone to many delis, this is a class in itself. They are VERY friendly and most delis are not. They are genuine. You will enjoy your experience. :o) read more

I should be ashamed for not reviewing this place earlier... but here we go This place is nestled in a nondescript Office Park so you may not expect an enjoyable ambiance or delightful food... you'd be wrong. Yes, there's thousands of Delis in every office park in America, but what separates great from average is the care the owners put into their food and their customers. The owners here.. care. They know your name, they treat you well, and they make all their food in generous portions for a very reasonable price. What's great is their specials. I've been a customer since Yunie and family took over management years ago. The Cafe has standard sandwiches on the board behind the counter, and if that doesn't fit your tastes, they're always open to experimentation. If there's a sandwich you enjoy but want to go light on the mayo or add a few extra pepperoncinis, swap out the turkey for ham, not an issue. If sandwiches aren't your thing, check the little cooler off to the right of the counter for salads with homemade dressings like the Asian Dressing (Ginger dressing), Ranch and Honey Mustard. The salads are more than adequate to eat as a meal alone, from the chicken breast salad (Yes, not 5 bits of chicken, but almost an entire breast) to the Summer Salad topped with oranges, walnuts and again, the homemade dressing! Now, the specials.The Spicy Pork is by far my favorite with the BBB (Bi Bim Bap) and the Teriyaki Chicken with California rolls rounding out a tie for second. Over the years, the owners have let slip a few things: 1) The spicy pork is marinated in a secret sauce for over 24 hours BEFORE they go out to the BBQ grill and cook it up. You'll often see someone outside, rain or shine, grilling up the food before the lunch rush! 2) The Bi Bim Bap is so labor intensive and ingredients like the Asian Cucumbers so difficult to find that they sometimes drive anywhere from San Diego to Orange County to find the items! 3) The Grilled Chicken Teriyaki is done on site, no flash frozen store bought mess! Quality ingredients, warm, welcoming staff and great food. What more do you need? read more

The squaw bread was a nice welcome change to the regular bread most sandwich shops seem to carry though they have other breads as well. I started coming here over 2 years ago when I first started working for a company right down the street. Yune and his family run a picture perfect lunch place...fresh food, great service and a comfortable setting. My favorites are the U-Don soup and spicy pork BBQ specials, but all the deli sandwiches are delicious too. I highly recommend this spot, especially if you live or work in the area. They are open late for lunch, which helps when you are looking for something 2-3pm. Never done the catering service, but I am sure it is fantastic. Pros: Food is excellent, owner somehow manages to remember my name every time I am here even when I may not have returned for a period of time. Pricing structure is very reasonable given the quality of the food. I love the Korean food specials they offer, but I'm usually too late to get any :( That's okay though, the sandwiches they have are awesome. Campus cafe is a delicious deli shop in the Carlsbad business area. It's perfect for me at work but my girlfriend even likes me to bring her sandwiches from here. They have a pretty typical but really good selection of sandwiches chips and drinks. They also have salads and other small items and even some incidentals like Advil. They have a breakfast menu which looks really good but I haven't tried it. Their daily special menu always adds some good variety with different sandwiches (I love their Gouda sandwiches) and really good plate lunch options like BBQ chicken or pork. Their food is always plenty filling for me and the prices are really fair ($7 for a filling lunch? Yes please.) The staff/owners are incredibly friendly and caring about their customers (they know many by first name) and I always enjoy eating there. You can sit inside and watch TV or sit outside next to a well vegetated koi pond which is quite appealing after being in an office all day. This is a cafe to try ! read more

Just got a new job a few doors down from these guys and man, what a change from my old, yucky cafeteria. The food here is FANTASTIC - every ingredient is fresh and wholesome, and the nice people who run the restaurant are gems. Everyone is friendly and gracious and they learn everyone's names, too. I just love this family - they are so awesome; it is really refreshing. Try the daily special - it is ALWAYS wonderful. Prices are reasonable, especially considering how large the portions and how fresh the ingredients are. The outdoor seating near the koi pond/waterfall/lovely landscaping is really pleasant as well, and the lovely people who work there will bring you your food if you go sit down (AMAZING SERVICE!). Sometimes I take home the leftovers from lunch and have them for dinner- I have found I prefer this to doing it the other way 'round (bring in dinner leftovers for lunch? Never again!) Campus Cafe is a great place to relax in the SD sunshine during a long work day. I have only been a few times, but they have some great lunch specials (if they have bibimbap order it!). I also tried their California Club which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. This place is a hidden gem! Every item I have had is made with the freshest ingredients. It costs about the same for lunch as most chain stores around like jersey mikes or panera but the food is so much better! That atmosphere is wonderful and parking is a breeze. The word around the office is that this place is the best. The word was right. Great fresh food, good prices, and friendly staff all make for a pleasant, though crowded at lunch, experience. I typically take my pick from the daily specials board. They make a great Reuben, though it's not always available, and the Friday burger is second to none. Unfortunately only available on Fridays. It's all good though. They even got a tv playing miscellaneous sporting events or ESPN. Not your typical office park deli. read more
