Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte
Antonette H.

Really cute location with a spacious interior and beautiful decor. The wall art is especially pretty, and the overall ambiance inside is very charming. It's located in a nice shopping center, so the area is extremely busy and parking can be a little hectic. The staff were okay--not the friendliest, but the service was fine. Overall, it's a cute spot with a lovely atmosphere, especially if you enjoy pretty decor and don't mind a busy location. I ordered a Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte and the cinnamon flavor was a bit much, definitely over powered so it was not my favorite at all. Glad I tried it out once, don't think I would go back.

Muffin- Blueberry
Daniel S.

I ordered a blueberry muffin and when I cut it open, there was one blueberry. For eight dollars are you kidding me?

The cafe was so cute! The aesthetic was very cute and beach. Love that they have a bunch of gluten free and dairy free options! I didn't try any of the food but everything on the menu looked great. Their latte, almond croissant were amazing! Food was ready quickly and the snacks they had at the counter were great as well! Will definitely come back

Mayan Mocha

I just love this place. Although it's a bit pricey because they use quality oils and products, I have had very good experiences here. The staff is incredibly attentive and I have never had bad service here and I've been here quite a lot. So management is definitely doing something right! The food is good. But the drinks are spectacular. I absolutely love that they do not use seed oils and are cognizant of using quality ingredients. That means a lot to people like myself who are health-conscious. This is one of the main reasons I continue to support their business and will continue to be a regular. Always excited when they add something new to the menu. My favorite drink is the myan mocha. It is the perfect amount of sweetness, not too sweet, and I just love the spiciness of the cayenne. I have also tried many of their other drinks and they're all fantastic.

Crunchy Chinese Salad
John K.

I had a fantastic soup and salad for lunch. The squash soup and salad was vegan and gluten free. The squash soup taste was amazing. The crunchy Chinese salad was delicious. The salad comes with sesame seeds, cashews, edamame, and pickles. The salad has many different textures and flavors. Outstanding. It was my first time here and Ashley was very helpful and friendly. Cute little cozy cafe.

I continue to love everything that I try from Parakeet Cafe, and they have so many fun and yummy options! Lots to choose from. They are efficient with their service and getting you your meal, and love the pink, and how fun and quirky the feel of the restaurant is!

It's pretty here and the ambiance is great. I didn't try the pastries although they looked delicious, my biggest complaint is the drinks. They never taste good, I'm unfortunately always disappointed. Both locations should just become bakeries because I think that would be better for business and more fair to customers because my drink did not taste like lavender, and my mother's drink did not taste like chai. We had our other family members taste it and they were confused about how it was made. Everything costs money and we were exploring the area before we had lunch for my birthday. Only reason I'm not giving it a one star is because the staff are nice, but I would never come here again. Does not seem worth my time or money. So sad because it looks so beautiful. I can't just expect change to occur so this is my stance not just from now, but also since 2023 from the Coronado location.

Fruit danish
Amelea J.

First time here and I would come back again. Their vanilla cold foam matcha is refreshing and doesn't taste like grass. The fruit danish was lite and delish. The star of the show was the chicken Cesar wrap. I like that it had big chunks of warm chicken because cold chicken would have put me in a bad mood. Not a lot of seating options for large groups, but it's a nice spot for a coffee/breakfast date. A little on the pricey side, but I think the quality of the food and the good service makes it worth it. I would recommend it. Just know, you're sitting outside and there will be bugs. lol

You can taste the quality in every cup, and the drinks overall are excellent. That said, my Red light it's really expensive for most people, so it feels more like a treat than an everyday stop. The one area they could improve is the service. The staff sometimes feel a bit rushed and not super helpful, especially if you're new or asking questions about their drinks. They don't always take the time to explain things. To be honest it's more like they just want to take your order and move on to the next customer. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. Great drinks and quality beans make it worth visiting, but the higher prices and inconsistent service keep it from being a regular favorite for me. If you love good coffee and don't mind paying a premium with okay service, it's still worth checking out.

When my food arrived, the bagel had visible mold on it. It was very concerning that this wasn't caught before being served. I brought it to the attention of the staff member who delivered the food. Instead of taking the plate back and replacing the meal, he simply removed the bagel from my plate and brought another one. Given the situation, I would have expected the entire dish to be remade. Additionally, the coffee mug I was given appeared dirty, which added to my concerns about overall cleanliness. I later felt sick and experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, possibly related to the meal. For the quality of food and service provided, the pricing felt unreasonably high. The overall experience did not reflect the cost. I'm really disappointed with the lack of quality control and how the situation was handled. I hope management takes food safety, cleanliness, and customer service more seriously moving forward.

It's tough to get a table for a weekend noon. I booked our reservation a few weeks ahead of time. Parking is either near the train tracks across the street or on the curb. We got the egg dish and salad bowl. The yogurt for the eggs was deliciously spiced; dipping in the toasted bread into the gooey poached egg, creamy yogurt, and herbs was delicious! My issue with this dish were the herbs that were too large. Was I expected to stick a big piece of herb on my toast? The dish is saucy with the chili oil so my clothes were dirty with the oil covered herbs. Chop the herbs smaller for practicality! Another dish suffered from the execution. We got the bowl which I thought was going to be a grain bowl. Rather, it was a ridiculously-sized salad--as much leaves as a pack from the grocery store! There were toppings within like slices of avocado, pieces of orange, farro, and nuts. I felt like I was trying to treasure hunt to look for these pieces. The salad was comically oversized. It was dressed fine but suffered from the portion size. You could see this theme with the French toast too where you get 1/3 of a baked bread. I'm honestly confused by this chef who has amazing experience. Why do you construct dishes that are difficult and impractical to eat? Less is more. These dishes need extensive edits. How this place got Bib Gourmand is honestly surprising to me.
