Great experience here today. Was staying at the Hyatt nearby. Wonderful to be able to get a basic breakfast on a budget. Luke was super friendly. The oats, coffee and muffins were awesome. My wife enjoyed her chicken pesto sandwich as well. Great location to relax.

Indoor space and seating. They also have seating around the corner.

I just discovered this place and obsessed! If you like or need to work at a cafe, this is a prime spot in Carlsbad! I came up for a doctors appointment and working here to avoid the traffic. I was looking for a warm, indoor, cozy experience given its winter right now. The Story has lots of windows and doors so very bright inside! All wood leather and steel furniture, really beautifully put together! Couches and comfortable seating everywhere. Plenty of space and seating options if you're meeting as group of people. I will be back. The coffee is good (I'm a coffee snob but it's decent. I got a cappuccino). I'm also gluten free and they have a couple of options; I got the overnight oats which are delicious! Sweet but not too sweet. The staff is friendly and wonderful! Can't wait to come back!

Cutest "little" coffee shop with a ton of remote working / study / relax stations. Came across this place leaving Carlsbad and I'm glad I stopped by. I ordered a spinach quiche and the spiced latte. The latte tasted amazing! Scott the barista had amazing energy and gave off Santa Claus vibes. I learned more about the shop (a part of the church) and the church itself. Such a beautiful lounge area and I will definitely be back when I can.

Cute coffee place we visited while in San diego for the weekend. Loved the vanilla oat chai and GF cookie. Relaxing ambiance to hang or study. Great customer service. Do not recommend hiking from Home2suites....just Uber it.

It's a church coffee shop not open during the week. Very misleading!! I tried to meet up with my niece there and it's a church school.

This is a little church cafe with pastries from Costco. I would not return. You're better off going to Starbucks down the street.

I smiled and commented on the donuts and that broke their gossipy reverie. One immediately walked away like she couldn't be bothered to work, only a paid gossiper. There was no one in the store other than me. She rung me up with a flat attitude like she just got out of jail and was miserable. Her name is Bre. I ordered a dirty chai. With two other items. She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today. It's a shame. This place used to be really friendly and fresh and top of the line customer service, Management needs to rework things before they completely go downhill but it seems they are already there.

I love bananas and french toast, so this was the perfect choice. It was sweet but not sickeningly sweet. The bananas were very ripe, but I personally enjoy them this way. The crunch looks to be an oat and crushed nut mixture? I wasn't too sure but it was delicious nonetheless. Everything tasted very good, I enjoyed my side of hash browns, however I prefer them to be a little crunchier. They tasted great regardless. I will say they were superrrr busy, so do expect to wait if you go on a weekend morning. I think they might use bleach to clean the tables, which I'm glad they disinfect between patrons but the table smelled like bleach the whole time, so if that's something that bothers you, maybe ask to sit inside? I think the tablecloth material just holds onto scent idk. Service wasn't the best either, but they were packed so I understand. The workers were nice, we came at an awkward time where they were switching waitstaff for breaks and whatnot, so I think we kinda got forgotten once our food came out lol it took a while to get the check
