It's a great location, and there's plenty of options for drinks. However, prices are really high and there's no such thing as a free refill. Today I ordered an iced tea (I'm a weirdo who doesn't drink coffee) and a normal black tea (which is what Lipton's is) was over $3.00 for a 20 oz, most of which was ice. So realistically, I got maybe 10oz. And refills are $.50. I understand they need to make money, but iced tea is dirt cheap and this is highway robbery! I also bought a muffin, and I'm convinced it had been frozen because it was extremely cold in the center and not nearly as much on the edges- a hallmark of something frozen that's being thawed. I'm extremely supportive of buying local, but I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

This college coffee staple was a favorite of mine when I was a student at NAU. It's been awhile since I've been there, but went this afternoon for the first time in years. They have a great outdoor patio with shading, unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of it because of the smoke from controlled burns of the forest today, but it looked nice! There was a bit of a wait for the cashier. It seemed as though only two people were working, which seems odd for a Saturday. I ordered and then the cashier made my drink, and then the food came out later. I ordered an iced white mocha which I liked so much I got a second one. I also got the egg and cheese bagel, which was fine. They have a laid back atmosphere and a large variety of eats and coffee drinks, teas, soda bottles, and more. They also have a great north facing view of Mt Humphreys. If you aren't in a rush and want a laid back atmosphere, this is a great place to be. read more

This thing has all the elements of a great coffee shop: a big window to look out of, lots of good seating, a stage area where you can sit and look down over everyone, and good coffee and tea drinks. It's a refreshing thing to see a coffee shop like this thriving when most coffee shops these days seem like they're trying to impress you with how cool and relevant they are. This coffee shop is not one of them, it's not pretentious and doesn't feel like a grunge bar. It's just a well lit comfortable place to sit at and get stuff done. Great coffee stop near campus (and Target). I don't come here very often because it does seem to be a revolving door of students and possibly professors and I prefer a quicker stop, but if you have some time and want a comfy environment with lots of drink options and lots of goodies to choose from this is a great choice! The workers are friendly, there are plenty of tables. They do have wifi which is great, but music is a tiny bit loud so if you're thinking business meeting of any kind just keep that factor in mind- but it's good music so if you're not trying to have a very detailed conversation it's all good. This is an excellent coffee option in Flagstaff. Near campus, and since it's in a shopping center, there's plenty of free parking. The interior is cozy--a great place to study-- although the amount of materials on the walls could be little overwhelming to some. They have multiple food options, great coffee drinks, and a super impressive tea selection. If you like chai tea lattes, be sure to check out the chai flavors--some amazing choices! I went with a green tea chai latte and it was SO good. The perfect mix of chai and green tea. My husband got the vanilla chai and it was equally delicious as mine, perfectly sweet and creamy. Drinks came out fairly fast, although we had to wait a few minutes to put in our order, as there was only one employee. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind if you're in a rush. I go here way too often. More than Starbucks!! The reason I choose this cafe is mainly because of the proximity to NAU and where I live. I like that there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well. This has become my ritual spot for study sessions, but be warned, wifi can get annoyingly slow. Especially during their busier hours. If I am honest I would say their food is just mediocre. The prices are on the steep side as well. I remember one time I came here after class for lunch and it pretty much burned a hole in my wallet. All I got was their Gyro Salad ($7.95) and a strawberry banana smoothie... The total was $15.76. The smoothie was absolutely flavorless, too. A girlfriend got their passion fruit smoothie once and barely drank half, since it was too sweet. Smoothies NOT recommended. The only one I enjoyed was their taro one. RECOMMENDED: Omelettes! I usually get their Flagstaff Omelette (~$6.95) and I love that it comes with your choice of toast and potatoes. I feel that's a fair price for what it is. I also would suggest getting their combination specials. They have a deal for a ham/cheese croissant or bagel with a side of coffee for $4.95. I think you can also do that deal with any pastry in their display case. Can't forget! Happy hour everyday 4-6 pm. All drinks are buy one, get one free. I could've written this review maybe ten years ago when I first visited. I'm still pleased with the cozy neighborhood community feel this coffee shop offers. I'm also aware of their community support providing musicisns, poets, and other budding performers a little limelight. the food here is consistently at the top of yummy, as I've tried just about everything they offer. somebody is doing something right since the staff like Nick D. appear really happy to serve the next customer. The only slight drawback, on occasion is seating us often 60% taken by students on laptops taking advantage of WIFI, but they are our community too and Campus Coffee Bean provides a cozy place for them too. read more

Their coffee is awesome here. A wide selection and you really can't go wrong. It is a great place to just chill and maybe do some homework. Trying not to be too negative here but there are some very basic things you need in a restaurant starting with quality of food. I appreciate the made from scratch cream cheese because it was delicious, however they served it in a tiny little plastic container. It was enough to spread across half of my bagel, when I asked for more so that I can enjoy cream cheese on the other half of my bagel they said that would be $1.50. That kind of stuff drives me nuts. The eggs were fine, pancakes normal, nothing really stood out. As far as Service goes, everyone who worked there was very nice. It was a little awkward trying to communicate through the service window or behind plexiglass but they did their best. Ambience was ambivalent, not great, not bad, although I thought it was strange that they had signs everywhere telling you what you could or could not do. For example, this is a laptop area, that is a cell phone area, this is a stage. The vibe generally came across that this is a campus coffee joint and you students will eat the way we like it, even if that means only half of your bagel has cream cheese :( read more

Aside from its proximity to campus, I don't really know what the attraction is here. Maybe its the live performances? I haven't seen any yet. Yeah, its convenient, but nothing I've had was particularly good. I've been here three times for meetings, each time getting a drink and a pastry. Got the hot chocolate on the first time, a mocha on the second, and a chai this last time. Bland, bland, bland. They were all too watery for my taste. The pastries I've had there are not much better. The cinnamon roll was really really dry, and more bready than what I expect of a cinnamon roll (I guess Cinnabon spoils us). We go here everytime we are in Flagstaff to hang out, use the internet etc. This is a great local place with a nice, local coffee house atmosphere. They play great music and I enjoy the decor and flair. The coffee is pretty good. Stronger than what I usually find in local coffee houses. The sandwitches and baked goods are really good as well. Sometimes the other food can be hit or miss but as far as coffee house food goes, it's some of the best. The wifi is really awesome as well. Loved this place. Atmosphere had down to earth, hipster vibe. Not necessarily my thing but they did it well. Servers were friendly, like they actually enjoyed their job. Barista made our drinks and food right in front of us. Drinks were professionally prepared (with handmade whipped cream I might add). Pancakes were delicious, walnut and banana. Bacon was nice and crispy. My breakfast sandwich was easily one of the freshest I've ever had. My only complaint was that it took a while to get our food, but I think they were short staffed. I had the Gyro omelette and Hot Chocolate Charger which had espresso or coffee and hot choc combined. Omelette came with toast and seasoned potatoes. Omelette has olives, greens, onion, and feta cheese. Delicious! I had a mango smoothie while my friend used the laptop are for some online tutoring work. It was really good but a bit pricey for me at $6.66. My bagel was super hard after it was toasted and pricey at 3.95. Maybe just needed a little less toasting. I'd definitely come again though. I went here with a friend since they suggested it, I'm not really a coffee person but we decided it would be a good place to do homework. My friend then told me its buy one get one free so he told me to try something and the guy in front of us had a drink that looked good so I asked the girl at the register (I wish i remembered her name, she was so sweet and helpful!) what he got and she said she custom made it & i told her i wanted it too! This is a great place to grab an espresso drink and some breakfast or lunch. They have a short order grill as well as a wide selection baked goods and of teas in addition to coffee drinks. My personal favorite is the egg and cheese croissant. This place is popular with students. most of the time it is a good place to study. When I worked at the University I would hold team meetings here once a month or so. They have a stage that hosts local artists some evenings. It is not a good place to study when a band is playing due to the noise and crowd. read more

This location opens at 6am. My parents and I visited on Saturday morning; we arrived at 6:04 and the door was still locked. As we waited, a girl in a Jeep came flying through the parking lot, and we joked that "we knew where she was headed". We were right: she was late to work at the Campus Coffee Bean. She came up and opened the door, looking like she had been awake for about 7 minutes. She took our order, a hot caramel macchiato, a hot white mocha, and an iced mocha. About 8 minutes later, there were two hot drinks waiting under the heat lamp and they were ours. I came back for the iced drink, which she called out as " iced white mocha". I was not happy to hear she'd messed that up, but it was only the beginning. We got an iced white mocha with caramel in it, a barely tepid caramel macchiato (but without the caramel, because it ended up in my iced mocha), and a barely tepid mocha. My mom went up and asked the girl for a mug to heat up our coffee in the microwave, and she gave it to her. She seemed to have no issue with the fact that her guest had to heat up coffee in the microwave! I would have fallen all over myself to remake the coffee for the guest! I was frustrated enough at having to wait to get in, and then she made our coffee horribly wrong, and didn't seem to care. What a horrible experience. Love coming here and sitting outside to study and get work done, the staff is super friendly, however I've had to wait a long time for drinks or food even when they are not particularly busy, and the indoors does not provide the best environment for studying because the music is typically loud and the voices inside echo making it too loud to focus. These 5 stars are for the chai lattes, my sister and I are NAU alumni and visit throughout the year and the first stop is always at the CCB for a vanilla chai latte.
