Chicken and biscuits smothered in gravy.

Tourist Home Cafe absolutely lives up to the hype. This breakfast spot was INCREDIBLE from start to finish. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially impressive. They have what looked like a private dining space inside a barn-style shed, several gas fire pits, and even a slightly elevated platform that looked perfect for live music. Ordering is simple -- you place both food and drink orders at the counter, then they bring everything out to your table. Even though the place was busy, the food came out fast and piping hot. The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and my wife got the chilaquiles. Both portions were huge. The chicken and biscuits were exactly what I was hoping for: smothered in rich country gravy with a perfectly fried flattened chicken breast that was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The buttermilk biscuit was golden, flaky, buttery, and had the perfect balance of soft interior and crisp edges. I honestly got full halfway through my plate and never even got a chance to try the wife's chilaquiles. The drip coffee was excellent too -- simple, hot, and exactly what good breakfast coffee should be. There's street parking along with a small parking lot across the street. Easily one of the best breakfast spots we've been to.

This place is one of my new Flagstaff faves. Coffee is fresh and delish. Pancakes have a custardy middle with crispy edges and the syrup is like melted butterscotch! I got the ranchero which was bomb. My husband got the chilaquiles which was also amazing. The chips in the chilaquiles are definitely made from scratch because they stayed thick and crunchy even with a bunch of sauce. My sister got the BLT with turkey...the garlic aioli is to die for. Everything is just so fresh and high quality. The staff are extremely friendly and willing to answer questions about the menu. Seating can be tight so I'd arrive before 11am on the weekends. 10/10 brunch...I would travel out of my way for this place.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful/attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating areas, lots of it. One of the only breakfast places we could find that wasn't charging $22 dollars for a breakfast sandwich..we got the yogurt bowl, quiche of day, and carne asada bowl. Favorite was the carne asada bowl, the flavor was phenomenal and everything including the mean and eggs were cooked perfectly. Yogurt bowl was also fantastic, homemade granola was perfect. The quiche was ok, the egg texture a little more egg-bite-like and less of that soft quiche texture. Definitely would return!

Family and I (group of 8) recently grabbed breakfast at Tourist Home Flagstaff Café. It was the day after NAU graduation (Saturday), and we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of outdoor seating (probably a little result of too much celebrating the night prior). We had placed our orders inside and were sent away with a number on a stand for our table. The gal that waited on us was very patient and uber-friendly taking our orders - luckily there was no one behind us and she took the time to answer all of our questions. I feel like we'd only been seated just a hot second when the food arrived! Fabulous service - quick and friendly and always with a smile. Hubby and I each got a cup of fresh brewed coffee that did not disappoint! Not too weak, not too strong... brewed to perfection! My husband ordered the chicken and biscuit and I the chilaquiles Christmas style. Lord have mercy both of these dishes were the bomb! Not only plenty of food but super tasty - I had my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and they also came with about 1/2 a freshly sliced avocado. Nice, tangy flavor and sprinkled with just the right amount of cotija cheese! Shared with the table and still had leftovers (and I'm not mad about it). Husband's dish was perfection - the perfect biscuit combo - fluffy, chewy and crunchy in all the right places, and the gravy not overly seasoned or salty. Chicken was a breaded/fried (possibly baked) and cooked/seasoned just right. Inner meat was tender and moist and outside of course was crunchy - batter was well seasoned and breast didn't seem greasy at all. I worked in a mom-and-pop coffee shop decades ago - everything was homemade and fresh and the coffee 2 die 4. This establishment brought me back to those times in regard to coffee/food quality and hospitality! Will 100p be returning when next we're in town!

We've kind of avoided this place only because of the name, but I'm glad we decided to go. Breakfast menu had a lot of great options, including some gluten-free choices. The coffee was great, I had an Americano and the wife had a Chi with a shot of espresso. The place is laid out well and spaces including a nice outdoor area. Everyone we came in contact with from the front counter to the barista were very pleasant. Make sure to check out their Specials board for some off the menu options. We had some poblano soup which was flavorful and smooth. When we returned. This weekend we are going to grab some French toast and a few other delicious items. It's important to note that the weekends are super busy but as long as you have no where else to be than you should be fine. You will run into a few out of town visitors which can be cool for conversation.

This is a cute little place in downtown flagstaff. The patio is about the coolest space I've seen! I have the granola bowl and my husband had some pastries. Everything was high quality and delicious. Our only thought was that the price was high for what was received.

Great find! Thanks Yelpers! Enjoyed everything food n Drinks. Drip coffee was weak was the only complaint. Loved the Biscuits n Gravy with fried chicken. They had hot sauces and it went well with the Arizona Gunslinger Jalapeno Pepper Sauce. The tomato bisque was nice n thick with tomatoes and almost butter cream taste. Went well with the grilled cheese (added bacon). SIL enjoyed her Hash Bowl as it used yams with chimichurri sauce. The Chai Whiskey was amazing! Orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. Enjoyed my brown sugar cinnamon latte (not on menu). Large patio for dog friendly. They even have dog bowls. Need to go to counter to order n pay and they give you a number to your table. Highly recommend to stop here if your are in Flagstaff! Friendly staff!

    Are dogs allowed?

I'd assume they aren't allowed inside unless they are a service animal but there were a few tables outside if I remember correctly.

They no longer have the pastry case...did their baker leave? Churro donuts were not light and rather dense and doughy...have been coming here for years, and loved donut day...

Hi Pat! We do have a few new bakers currently but we still use the same recipe that our original baker used! I will absolutely let our bakers know that we need to make some improvements. Thank you so much for letting us know because we can't be…

    Do they serve alcohol?

Yes. They have a shandy shack outside with beer kegs on tap. I also saw people drinking bloody marys and they were told that alcohol needed to remain on the premises.

    Are any items GF?

Well, they do have eggs and omelets. And lots of yummy breakfast plates. They serve most things with a " nine grain bread." I do not recall any baked goods/ or items on the…

    Are reservations accepted?

Tourist Home does not offer reservations. We seat folks on a first come first seated basis and always do the best we can to accomodate our guests in a timely manner. Please feel free to call ahead to see if we have a wait time. (928) 779-2811

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

They have a patio where dogs are allowed. As a matter of fact when I was there a woman and her dog was eating as it snowed. They were quite comfortable. I hope this helps

Do you have gluten free options?

Yes, we have many menu items that are gluten free or can be adapted to be gluten free. We offer Canyon Bakehouse GF bread as an option for our toast/sandwiches. Additionally, we have gluten free pastries! Please feel free to call us at the…

3.5/5 For Flagstaff,…read morethis bubble tea is alright. If you get a drink from here it will be a sweet day indeed! At first I was a little confused because I didn't see an actual bubble tea store, but it turns out the bubble tea shop has the same owner as the restaurant and grocery store. There are menus at the counter of the grocery store's check out counter where you can place your order. Sadly, one of my choices (The lemon black tea) was not available so I went with the mango tea instead and got a passion fruit tea with yogurt popping boba. The cashier said the passion fruit was her favorite flavor- alright! They make the bubble tea next door at the Chinese restaurant kitchen/drink area. It didn't take too long for my drinks to be made and they had those nicely heat sealed lids. The passion fruit drink was a little too sweet for me so I'll see if I can ask for it less sweet next time. Service was very friendly and nice. Since options are limited in Flagstaff for bubble tea and I want to support local boba business (And fuel my bubble tea addiction) I'll try more next time I'm here!

Smells bad here and the bathrooms are unsanitary. This place is a side business to the HOT WOK option next door. The boba had too much ice and was very hard to chew.
