I visited this Auto Zone today to buy windshield wiper blades. I asked for help as last time I bought the wrong size. The first employee did not know what a windsheildwiper blade was and directed me to talk to another.He was busy speaking with the third employee and I waited for the conversation to finish then asked for help. The young man walked away. I asked if he wanted to make a sale. No reply. I said, "ok I'll go to another store." and turned toward the door. A woman zipped from the back and shouted after me, "Don't come back." in English. She was probably the manager. The others spoke Spanish. Well so do I and I assured her I would not return. Answer the phones. I called on 10/11/2024 I called and let it ring for approx 2 to 3 minutes once at 6pm and the other at 645pm. No one ever answered the phone. I checked the closing time it was at 9pm. So I ordered it through O'Rielys after no answer.It was a 250.00 alt. I want to buy parts from your company but if your employees cant answer the phone shows me they don't really care. I've been a journey mechanic for over 50 years dealing with parts and service. My grandkids mom and dads car did not want to start at 5:30 am in morning. Dad took moms car so he wouldn't be late for work and her and I gathered our thoughts and plans since we had my car and time. We jumped the car and made our way to school daycare and work! After getting on the phone with a person at Auto Zone (Apollo) I felt so relieved. After getting year make and model of car for Apollo he said yup we have a battery.. Hallelujah! Once I got to store in her car, the place was already busy, then second worker got there ( Marcus) he was helpful too, between the two of them I was off and running! But before that, They were friendly, helpful and explained about battery and put it on ! Really I have called this location before and they gave me free advice and said they are there to help. I'm up there in age and it was even raining and it could of been easy to say to me, I'm alone I can't leave my store and go outside instead he said ok we're here so by the time he needed to go outside to check out car to get the right battery his coworker came! Walked in was greeted from the counter. Walked back to the oil. Found my two quarts I needed and walked to the front. The associate asked me if I had already purchased my filter. I explained yes just didn't grab the right two quarts for my car but my guy can use them on his. He asked if I needed anything else today. Finished the transaction and said we will see you next time. Terrible experience with this location today. Bought some gloves yesterday and it turns out they did not fit. Tried returning them this morning and they would not except them because they were "used". I see a lot of bad reviews about a new manager at this location. All signs to that point true. Avoid this location if you can. Right after I left this location in Rohnert Park I went to the Petaluma East Washington store and returned the gloves without any fuss. I went in today to diagnose why my battery keeps dying. I originally went in to get a wire brush to get rid of corrosion, a corrosion ring set, and a new socket set. When we got to the counter to pay, the gentleman rang us up, we payed, then he said that we should have this other corrosion ring set that comes with grease and just switched it out instead of charging us for it. Then my battery was still bad and I brought it in to get load tested and they charged it up then told me it was at 100% (bad for my car because now it might get really costly). But I know some places would tell you that it is not at 100% so I appreciated them being completely honest. read more

Went in to get a battery for a electric go-kart for my company's fleet, when arriving I asked for help, the employee who assisted me was rude and just not helpful. I honestly don't blame him, I've known a lot of co-workers who have worked for auto-zone and they don't train there people.... They're always closed for some weird reason; they don't have enough workers, their system is down, everyone left early or is on break, I've never seen a business closed when they're supposed to be open so many times for so many reasons. Autozone has always been my favorite place to go for parts, but the girls at this store have driven me to their competitors. Rude, off-handed service. I went in for one belt, the girl insisted I needed two and that I must be mistaken. She was very obviously irritated when I came back in with my ONE belt and again insisted I needed two. Apparently they don't like their computer being challenged. I'm not even sure how two belts would work on my car. I'll be going to O'Reily's from now on. read more

My 17 year old Toyota Corolla needed the battery tested because I'd had two instances this past week of rainy weather when it wouldn't start on its own. I work at SSU & one of the student recommended the local AutoZone in Rohnert Park, so I went there Friday after work, shortly before closing. Apollo came out to test it & showed me that the battery was indeed bad. He listened to what I needed, and then showed me the options in batteries that they had. He volunteered that if I came back the next day they'd have enough staffing to be able to install it for no additional fee. I couldn't believe it! So, now I'm here to say that just a little while ago, Apollo & Jonathan sold me a car battery in my stated price range, never once pressuring me to purchase an even more expensive model nor add on more "stuff". They simply installed it. Never once was I made to feel dumb nor that my limited car knowledge was taken advantage of ; women, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The service was courteous, friendly, and professional. I cannot recommend them enough! I locked my keys in the car today in my gym parking lot which is 2 doors down from Auto Zone.. I figured that would be a good place to start considering they are in fact an Auto Zone.. I was wrong. I asked an employee if he could help me..he said no..i asked to borrow a slim jim..he said no...i said wow you are real informative and he said yep.. Straight up...worst service ive ever encountered...he should be fired as he is a waste of space. Terrible customer service. Preferential treatment for male customers while ignoring female customers. When I walked up to the register I was trying to get the clerk's attention and he just hid behind the registesr until the aforementioned guy walked up and was helped immediately. I said "Hey!" at the clerk but he ignored me. When I pointed it out that he had ignored me to help the man he accused me of lying and claimed that I was across the store when he started helping the man. I asked the manager to review the surveillance footage to verify when I approached the register only to be informed they have no cameras. Really bad customer service. Manager does not care for customer and seems too lazy to ever talk to customers with issues they have. I went into the store and attempted to price match an item and it got denied which is no big deal . I then attempted to use a coupon and the manager was not having it. Last night I realized I needed a headlight for my pathfinder so I stopped by on my way home. It was late and I was surprised to find them open at 7:30 on a Sunday night. I'm sorry I cannot remember the name of the guy who helped me but he was very helpful and even went so far as to replace the headlight for me.
