I had an issue with my motorhome while traveling. Thankfully I was referred to Jeff's Twin Oaks Garage by another repair company because they were too busy to help me. The 1st person I met was Lily in the office. I told her my story and she said that were really busy also (the place was full of motorhomes being worked on) but she said "Don't leave!" and she walked me out to the garage and introduced me to Doug. Doug listened to my story and asked me to bring in my RV. "It might be something easy" Doug said. I brought it back in 30 minutes and Doug asked Eric to take a look at it. Within 20 minutes Eric found the issue and 20 minutes later it was fixed and I was back on the road. Any one of the three could have just said they were too busy but Lily, Doug and especially Eric all made the extra effort for me. Called Twin Oaks today when a "perform service" message showed up on the dashboard of my 2015 Ram 2500 diesel. Spoke with Jeff on the phone. Could not have been nicer, or more helpful and actually took the time to explain his thoughts on what I was describing. He explained that I could come in and they would check the code on their analysis machine. Just asked that I give an hour notice before I arrived, which I decided to later in the same day. Called later, spoke to his colleague in the front office who was equally helpful and confirmed that I could come on in an hour later. Ford issued a recall last fall for a 'possible' suspension problem on my motorhome with the Ford F-53 chassis. They said parts were not available to repair the possible problem & six months later said they were now available. However, rather than having the parts on hand at the dealer to rapidly install them IF the problem existed, their procedure was to have the customer bring it in for an inspection, then order the parts (= waiting), and then, IF the correct parts were ordered & delivered, put them in. POSSIBLE BIG DELAYS.... I called Jeff's Twin Oaks Garage, known for their expertise with trucks/motorhomes and asked if they could have a look to see if I even had any problem. Since I had travel in the very near future, I was willing to pay 'out of pocket' to see what was going on. Mind you, the nearest Ford dealer in the entire Bay Area that could even handle motorhomes is 60 miles away from me - well over $80 in gas and the time to boot. They were also booked nearly 4 weeks out before they could even see me. Jeff set me up for about a week out. I drove in, raised it up on the jacks & Jeff himself hopped on a 'creeper' and checked the entire chassis & suspension from front to rear, rolled out & told me everything looked factory-fresh & I had no problems. I offered to pay him his normal shop time & he said, "This one's on the house". Now that is 'over-the-top' customer service & I hadn't been a customer of his for almost two years! read more

I have been using Jeff's shop for three years now to service a 2007.5 Kodiak c5500 seneca rv. Every time I had some special request which I tend to have a lot of, Jeff and Doug accommodated them and went over and above to reach my ridiculous requests. Just last month before a big trip with family and friends where we would be dry camping for 9 days in the remote dessert my radiator decided to give out, just one week before I was to leave. I contacted Doug and he happily said bring it in even after letting me know their calendar was packed full and they would get it fixed before my trip. This is what I call customer service. They diagnosed the problem found a bad lower radiator hose elbow had cracked not actually what I thought a bad radiator. Saved me money not repairing what wasn't needed, another great sign of a trustworthy mechanic. They were even able make time to do a fuel filter change and oil change, transmission check and checked my tires, along with diesel generator service just as a precaution before my big trip, All this work to make sure my family had a fun safe trip, that kind of service short notice is very rare if not impossible to find. With all my extra request for service they still got it all done before I had to go. I would highly recommended this shop for any of your mechanic needs as they have earned my trust and loyalty which I don't give out frivolously. 10 out of 10 in all categories of service, work and professionalism. read more

Long review but if it helps people when deciding to take their vehicle here.... I took my truck to get brakes to Jeff's Twin Oaks Garage about 3 months ago, they had my truck there for almost a week, everything seemed great but two weeks after getting new brakes the ABS and Brake lights came on, I called and Doug, he checked it and said it was a sensor, left my truck there and they replaced the sensor. 1 and 1/2 weeks after getting the sensor the ABS and Brake lights came back on. So I called AGAIN and Talked to Doug he said "bring it in". So I brought in and Jeff was there and he said "just leave truck we'll check it next week", I said Jeff it's the third time bringing my truck for brakes within a month and I need my truck for work I can't just leave it here. Jeff and Doug both said that it was safe to drive my truck, that I should bring it back in when the other sensor it needs arrives, so he promised to take care of it himself, he said he would do the work himself and that it would be ready in just a few minutes, he said he would call me back to bring it in. It's been 2 months and I've called 4 times and asked to speak with Jeff and they are not returning my calls. Left messages and still no response. And now the brakes gave out while I was merging on hwy 20. And now I'm sitting here waiting for a tow truck..... Horrible place, they are unprofessional. They are lucky I didn't get in an accident otherwise I'd be suing them.... read more

I recently had my disabled RV towed to Jeff's for warranty work on the recommendation of Hansel Ford since they don't work on RVs. Unfortunately Jeff couldn't work on it either since it was still under Fords 3yr/36000 mile warranty. After a lot of hassle with Ford customer support trying to either find a Ford place locally that would do the work or get authorization for Jeff to make repairs I gave up and had Ford tow it to Fairfield for repairs. In the meantime Jeff actually diagnosed the issue (broken axle) and offered me a quote. Since it was under warranty I opted to have Ford do it. When I tried settling my bill with Jeff for the diagnostic work he wouldn't accept any payment. Just a handshake and good luck. I will definitely be back for any necessary repairs when we are out of manufacturer warranty. Jeff would have done the repairs under our extended warranty if we weren't still under the Ford warranty. I have a 1993 Fleetwood RV which was serviced and worked on by Jeff's team...they said the found a high beam out and changed it, charged me and it was not completed. After scheduling an issue with my RV for a gauge issue, I had to cancel due to the pandemic. A couple of days ago I called to re-schedule and they told me they won't work on my rig anymore because it's "too old." Coming from a place that advertises that they work on all types of vehicles (see their website front page), that is totally inaccurate. Additionally, a man that brags about being a veteran and then turns another veteran away is really distasteful...they should advertise the truth..."We work on easy jobs that don't take too much time, but make money!" read more

I have been impressed with the service and honesty of this garage. My SUV was totaled and when asked where to send it I asked it go to Twin Oaks. Despite the fact that there was no business for them - the car needed autobodywork, the owner could not have been more helpful in arranging for the car to move and speaking with my insurer and basically helping me work out what to do. Twin Oaks was recommended by Petaluma born and bred friends who use them on all their vehicles including commercial trucks and based on my experience, I will be bringing my vehicles there for service on a regular basis. The RAM truck Air Conditioning was blowing real hot air. We had to pick up stuff in Stockton where the weather forecast was for triple digit weather. Jeff was able to get the AC fixed and it was done fast (another AC shop could do it 2 weeks and the price was much higher). I was delighted with the job. So then I thought I would get the temperamental window motor fixed on the driver's side of the car. The same thing happened: Fast service, nice & friendly people, and cheap. You might say relatively low in cost because Twin Oak's repair cost was half of the dealers estimate to replace the motor. Lucky me! read more

I had my Diesel Pusher RV in for some engine work at Twin Oaks Garage recently and would rate the work done as 5 Star. The owner Jeff is a very honest, professional and knowledgeable individual. He and another mechanic spent quite a fair amount of time diagnosing the engine problem. When a problem unrelated to the diesel components or other components they work on came up and delayed the repairs he was to do, he spent more time helping me figure it out. Once I resolved the unrelated issue and returned the RV to his garage for the repairs he did them promptly, despite being very busy, and did the repairs very well. Overall Jeff did not charge me for all the time he spent, but just for the actual repairs he did, while I felt he could have charged for the diagnostic and assistance time on the unrelated issue. I had heard only positive things about him and the work they do and now have experienced this myself. I strongly recommend Jeff and Twin Oaks Garage for diesel service and repairs and will use them myself again in the future whenever possible. read more

Does not get much better than Jeff and his able office manager Wanda. I came in under the absolute worst circumstances on the back of a tow truck late Friday afternoon after tangling with a 35 lb piece of steel road debris measuring 80" X 12" that Jeff identified as a side panel from a flatbed stake truck. After hitting it with my left front tire it bounced up into my undercarriage and tore out the rear half of my exhaust system as well as destroying my driveshaft, also took out a chunk from the tread of my left rear outer dual tire requiring replacement and additional damage to the side and body compartments and the rear cap of my one year old Winnebago Vista 30T. Jeff jumped right on it and ordered new OEM parts directly from Ford and he would likely have had my vehicle back on the road in ten days or even less had my GoodSam insurance coverage not screwed around with delays and BS paperwork and haggling over nickels and dimes and trying to force Jeff to accept less than his posted labor rate. As it turned out Jeff and Wanda were extremely patient with the insurance company who managed to drag the repairs out for almost a month with delaying tactics. I was forced to become extremely aggressive with the insurance company to force them to pay Jeff's very fair labor rate and keep the job moving so I can next move it to the dealer where I purchased it to have the remaining repairs completed as they are not in the scope of Jeffs shop, but more properly a dealer repair involving replacement of body panels and god knows what else they may find. While this experience has been painful seeing my new coach trashed to the tune of somewhere between $7000 to $10,000 depending on the extent of yet to be determined cost of repairs at the dealers, there is a silver lining to all of this. Turns out that Jeff is very knowledgeable about heavy duty vehicles including suspension modifications and upgrades and is one of the listed dealers for the Safety Plus steering dampener used by so many RV folks for additional stability as well as stability protection in the unhappy event of a blowout of a front tire on these large heavy vehicles. After this experience I am sure to be returning to Jeff's shop for some suspension modifications some time in the future after I recover from this disaster. So I feel like I have found a valuable repair facility where I am likely to get much better work at a reasonable price than the dealer. read more
