We did the elote (street corn) appetizer, tuna tartare, and lamb chop. Of note, I don't eat lamb at all, but Eric's Lamb chop was AN AMAZING FLAVOR BOMB! I appreciated that him and his server showed up prepared with all of their supplies (and small plates for serving). For dinner, we had the heirloom tomato and burrata salad, followed by the char grilled octopus, then the Australian Wagyu steak with creme brûlée to finish. He was able to customize a couple dishes to my preference and even adjusted a few as he was preparing them the night of for a couple of my guests. The server he brought with him was super friendly and attentive. Everything was as described and I couldn't think of anything I'd do differently. I will use Eric again for sure. There was zero ambiance and none of the polish you'd expect at a proper "Supper Club" The food was genuinely bad. The main course was a joke -- portion, execution, flavor. We had a party of 6 and multiple plates went unfinished, and some of the dishes were a pass altogether. Sadly the only stand out item was the salad... We left hungry and walked across the street to a rotisserie chicken joint, which couldn't have been tastier given what we had just endured for the past 2 hours. Calling this "fine dining" is misleading at best. Charging $100 per person for this experience feels like robbery. There was nothing refined, thoughtful, or elevated about the food, the service, or the space. Save your evening, your money, and your stomach space. If you're anywhere near Seal Beach or Long Beach, you have countless legitimate, well-run restaurants that deliver quality & atmosphere and may not even cost you $100 with drinks... Stay away.. Don't make the same mistake we did.

After reaching out through his website, he sent us a message to schedule an introductory phone call. He shared his professional background and then went through a detailed discussion reviewing our vision for the night, including timing of the event, likes/dislikes, options for specialty/seasonal ingredients, etc. After the phone call, he followed up with a proposed menu for a 5-course omakase meal, accounting for our preferences, which was spot on. We paid a deposit to secure the date. He checked in a few days before the event and day-of kept a good line of communication with us, providing ETA. He was quick to set up in our kitchen and then the magic started. He brought his own table lights, dishware, utensils, cooking supplies/pans, etc. He offers tablecloths as well. When dinner was ready, he announced each course, sharing how the dish was prepared. The food was awesome. Just simply awesome. Pictures won't do justice, especially since I forgot to take some as I was enjoying the food too much. He buys the fish fresh that morning and you can appreciate the quality of it. And by the way, he prepped separate meals for our young children :) Afterwards, he took care of all the cleaning, cleared the tables, packed his supplies and graciously bowed out for the night.
