This review is long overdue! Eric was a joy to work with. He was prompt with communication, and provided perfect recommendations for my private, birthday party dinner. His menu selections were top notch, and my husband and I were thrilled with the outcome. We did 3 appetizers before the 4 course meal began. We did the elote (street corn) appetizer, tuna tartare, and lamb chop. Of note, I don't eat lamb at all, but Eric's Lamb chop was AN AMAZING FLAVOR BOMB! I appreciated that him and his server showed up prepared with all of their supplies (and small plates for serving). For dinner, we had the heirloom tomato and burrata salad, followed by the char grilled octopus, then the Australian Wagyu steak with creme brûlée to finish. The menu was superb, Eric presented his gorgeous plates with detail and attention, and (of course) they cleaned up everything after! We hired Chef Eric for a private dinner in Oceanside. He was great with communication, offered a lot of options for the meals, and made coordination very easy. The food was absolutely incredible with generous portions. I highly recommend also upgrading to the server, who served, refilled our glasses, and made us feel like royalty. I had the pleasure of having Eric B prepare my birthday dinner 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. We had a large air bnb south of Temecula and he came on site and prepared a multi-course dinner. Before hand he provided a list of his most popular items to choose from and you create your own custom menu from the large variety of items. He was able to customize a couple dishes to my preference and even adjusted a few as he was preparing them the night of for a couple of my guests. This was my first time hiring a private chef and I'm so glad that we selected Chef Eric! Not only was he quick to respond, he was very was helpful and accommodating when planning out a menu that would work for 8 women. Chef Eric came to our vacation rental home in Mission Beach San Diego to cook dinner for our reunion of old college friends (11 guests total). He was very friendly from the beginning, and very responsive even when I knew he was working events multiple days in a row. When we realized we didn't have enough flatware, I emailed him a couple days in advance and he was able to help provide some along with nice silverware to make our dinner even nicer! As he was shopping for ingredients based on the menu I had selected, he was texting asking if he could change some things based on what vegetables were in season. He actually caught a fish that morning himself and used that for the ceviche he serves us as an appetizer. This definitely showed signs that his ingredients are fresh. We started with a charcuterie board (he picked some amazing cheeses and cured meats). Then we had some passed apps and he made some extra so that we could share with the kids (who we were feeding chicken nuggets and potstickers to). the kids were so excited to dig into these apps. For the meal, he did a burrata salad, a wagyu dish, and a broiled sea bass. Everything was executed perfectly with a great balance of flavors. Seasoning was on point and the meats were cooked to the ideal. All done in the rental kitchen even though the broiler was broken! He showed up on time and brought all the equipment he needed so there was no stress about what was available at the rental home. He provided a server, Matt, making sure our drinks were topped off. I appreciate that Matt was super professional and served like a fine dining experience (served from the right, and ladies first). Loved that most of the prep work was done beforehand so Chef Eric only needed to show up about an hour early to get things going. Chef was also friendly with the kids as they watched him assemble the charcuterie board and he gave them tastes. Chef Eric's a great chef. He's a little more laid back in bookkeeping (didn't settle pricing beforehand or invoice beforehand) but I was happy with my experience and would definitely use him again! read more

We hired Chef Eric for my sister's 40th birthday, and he knocked it out of the park! Leading up to the event he was flexible, accommodating, and easy to work with. He let us explore many different courses and food options to land on the right menu for the occasion.
