    About Chef Eric - well I have two words, AhhMazing and Wonderful!! Chef Eric prepared a delicious meal to celebrate two milestones Birthday Celebration for party of 14. The whole evening was perfect! Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was Delicious! Everyone is still talking about what Chef Eric created. He even tried out some new dishes for us. The whole process from beginning to end. Planning and working with Eric on finalizing the menu, pre-plan and on the day of the event, was simple and straightforward. Not only is Eric easy to talk to and work with, but he's a super nice guy, and very Charming! I wound definitely recommend Chef Eric. And will hire him again in a heartbeat for my next big party/celebration.

    Chef Eric brought fine dining to our birthday dinner. You will not be disappointed with Chef Eric at your event. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the food was incredibly delicious and memorable. He was so easy to work with too. He even accommodated our guests with food restrictions well. Would be happy to have another event with Chef Eric.

    We hired Chef Eric for my 60th birthday girls trip in Jan. 2024. Eric was so easy to work with, and we were beyond impressed. He came prepared with his own supplies, as we were at a sparsely supplied Airbnb. Every course was beautifully presented and so DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend Chef Eric!!!

    If I could give five more stars, I would. There are not enough words to describe the amazing experience my friends and I had. My best friend booked Chef Eric to serve a table of 11 people for a Bachelorette out in San Diego. The whole group had the best time and only had the best things to say after each serving. He also brought backup for drinks... (special shout out to our Bartender, Kuya Lee) for serving the shots along with the food. They are a dynamic duo. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASKING FOR BOTH at your events, if possible. Chef Eric has really perfected the craft. Everything we had was delicioussssss!!! We were begging for seconds! If you're thinking about, reach out and book him. You won't regret it. The only thing you will regret is not taking enough photos. Will definitely hire him again! Thank you Chef Eric for a memorable experience!!

    Chef Eric did an amazing job for my husband's birthday dinner. He did a 4 course menu and everything he made and plated was delicious and beautifully done. For anyone looking for a personal private chef experience I recommend Chef Eric. First Course-Bibb lettuce salad with a miso ginger dressing, crisp my pork belly and lemon grass scallion chimmi churi Second Course-Jumbo wild caught prawns in coconut turmeric marinated red Thai curry broth, papaya and fresh herbs Third Course-Beef Duo-72 hour Australian wagyu short rib, prime filet mignon with carrot coriander purée and corn succotash Fourth Course-Flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and chant illy cream

    Eric delivered in countless ways for me birthday dinner. he we professional, kind and friendly. the food was superb, with special "chefs specials" on the house from his own boat that he caught Tuna from. He read our group and served at the most perfect times. I want to take him home and make him our private chef!

    This was my first time hiring a private chef and I'm so glad that we selected Chef Eric! Not only was he quick to respond, he was very was helpful and accommodating when planning out a menu that would work for 8 women. The options on the menu looked amazing and honestly we had a hard time picking the final dishes. Our final menu consisted of, watermelon arugula salad, spicy tuna cones, pork belly bao buns, street corn cups, hamachi sashimi, short rib, miso cod, and the creme brûlée. EVERYTHING was beyond amazing. It was all full of flavor and beautifully presented. The experience was something my friends and I will never forget, and we have chef Eric to thank for that! If you're looking for a chef, he's your guy! Amazing food, and even has some great jokes to throw in here and there !! We also utilized his option to charter a boat the day before! That was a blast as well! He made fresh guac (which is some of the best guac I've ever eaten) and ceviche! This was a great option for us as well because we needed something to do till we could check into our air b n b. All We had to do was select the boat we wanted. He did the rest. I highly recommend captain/chef Eric for this option as well!!

    Hiring EricB was such a fun experience for our whole group of 6! He was extremely professional, the food was amazing, and he was also really fun. Towards the end he even whipped up a couple cocktails for us that wasn't even part of the deal. When he originally sent over the menu there were multiple options for each course - it was almost impossible to choose because they all sounded so good. Everything was delicious but the shrimp and the short rib took the cake! Highly recommend and will definitely be seeing Eric again soon!

    We used Chef Eric for my in laws 50th anniversary and we had a great experience. The food was so delicious! He is easy to work with and is very transparent about what to expect with a given budget. We would definitely hire him again when we have a chance!

    Last time I came here, they were completely sold out, so I knew I had to come back and try it again…read moreand it definitely did not disappoint. Be prepared for a wait anywhere from 20-40 minutes, but it's honestly worth it. I ordered the 10-piece banh khot, and the portion size was huge! The banh khot was crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and had such a good savory flavor with the perfect crunch. The inside is super cute and simple, though probably better for smaller groups rather than big parties. Overall, such a good experience and absolutely worth the wait! Would definitely come again!!

Somehow I stumbled upon Banh khot Vung tau first and it's hard not to compare the differences, hence the 3 rating. I'm not in HB/Westminster/FV/GG area that often. I'm usually there once a month for a pedicure. So after my pedicure my cravings always hit for Banh khot or Banh cuon or Spring rolls .If I can have all 3 at once that would be my death row meal LOL. Anywho I wanted my Vung tau, I came in an hr before closing and the owner had a sign out the door about closing an hr earlier for his daughter's birthday, which I respect wholeheartedly. I was going to go home defeated but I was like oh yea let me try Banh khot Lady ! It was only a mile and a half away. I pull up and my Lord the parking lot is a clusterf*ck. School was out so trying to pull in with the herd of teens crossing was overwhelming, somehow I got the last space right up front. It was Banh khot Wednesday so they were busy as hell!!!! The owner asked if I had a pick up order, I didn't, then he asked if I ever been there, also no. He broke it down, very straightforward menu. He had personality plus was so awesome to everyone coming in. I ordered 9 banh khots , a five piece egg roll and a bag of Chicarron. Wait wasn't too long for me but after it was for others placing their order right there. Fantastic timing on my part. I was starving so I opened the bag of chicarron and OMG CRAAAAACK!!!! I couldn't stop eating them. I had to force myself to stop so I didn't get sick. These were small crackling type pieces, not big puffed chicarron like a liquor store pork rind. I'd totally get it again! 10 stars! Got home, cracked open the Banh khot, I tried one naked without the lettuce mint cilantro fish sauce. Their Banh khot is drastically different than Vung. BKL banh khot were shrimp and pork together. The batter was thick like a mini pancake and spongy, a tad bland. I was too spoiled with Vungs banh khot, their BK are thin and crispy, like a delicious crispy shrimp crepe and lots of green onions and crack pepper sauce along with fish sauce. BKL could definitely use a pepper sauce and go heavy handed with the green onion to top. The texture just wasn't for me. Now the egg rolls! Those were damn delicious!!! Packed with protein. So good with wrapping them with the lettuce mix you're given. Dipped in fish sauce and added Sambal oelek , perfect bite! I'd easily come back for these! I'll definitely come back to BKL, for those addicting chicarrons and egg rolls and fantastic service. I'll get my BK at Vung and head over to BKL for the egg rolls LOL. Kill two birds with one stone. Don't be discouraged on trying their BKs , we all have different tastes. Texture and comparisons really weigh my judgment :)
