We had high hopes for this place. We booked in advance and were failed to be told there was a set menu for Valentine's Day. Nothing like their regular menu that seemed enticing. We were very disappointed with the service and the food. Our waitress did not ask for refills until the end of our stay and told us they were out of tea. (We were the first few people here) Steak tataki was not tataki style what so ever. Our ribeye was returned as it was Blue, doused in butter & not medium rare, potatoes lacking flavor. The Dover sole and lamb were both lacking flavor. Dessert was nothing special and just looked like a messy display of mush. Overall very disappointing. Very poor set menu.

1 star Because there's no 0 star rating available : STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! What started as a nice, fun and enjoyable dine-out evening with the family ended up being the worst experience in a "fine establishment" ever. To give you a full sense of how bad it was here is the details of the evening: We were seated in an empty restaurant as outside was a bit chilly and my wife preferred being warm and cozy, only us and what seemed to be a manager's table where staff was sitting minding their own business on their laptops with visiting friends joining, a sort of mom and pop feel in a nicely designed and decided restaurant which appeared to be a fine dining place. The busgirl walked us in, no hostess available, sat us in 5 in a tiny table for 4. Took our initial water order. Our server then approached asked us repeatedly if we preferred English or Spanish, wanted to know where were we from and then asked us again if Spanish was a better option for the conversation making me think of what was the point of all these language related questions and remarks. We placed our drink order, a round of "Mocktails" as no one consumed alcohol at my table. We proceeded to order appetizers and the experience so far felt decent besides being in a cramped table in an empty dining room with bright lights(adjusted after a while) and piled up furniture and cushions (clutter and untidy)One of our beverages was forgotten, (now I think I start to understand the language questions.. ) the appetizers came out and we placed our entrees order. Everything seems to flow pretty smoothly despite the unpleasant and unprofessional chefs behind the line seeming extremely upset about having to cook as they displayed negative attitudes, slamming wares around, and showing unhappiness and frustration for having to cook and having to leave the manager's table, what a shame! We went through the appetizer course pretty quickly and the busgirl came pick up the wares and quickly after we were served all entrees, probably about 10 minutes wait, not bad. If it wasn't that during those 10 minutes I observed chefs who never washed their hands in this all time, with no gloves nor wearing hats eating from our food, tasting and double dipping with the bare fingers into pots and pans, observed service staff eating and a bar tender come all the way from the outdoor bar went staring into the kitchen and grabbed food from a pot on top of the chefs station and helped himself a little snack as well. After observing the chef in the kimono handling the duck breast in bare hands I was about to cancel everything and leave but didn't want to make a big deal and ruin my family night, I wanted to give it a chance, this was our second time here and the first one was a decent experience. The entrees arrive (meanwhile the chefs have slammed a few more pots and ate a bit more of the leftovers from plating- mind that the restaurant is empty and there was no need to rush and slam anything it only created a negative environment) everyone seems to be getting what ordered at the same time (positive progress signs) but one of the dishes smells well off, rotten fish!!(I am sure the chef didn't care for tasting that salmon..) my duck was over cooked under seasoned and full of germs. After having to wave at the server to come at our table and bring us silverware (yes they also forgot to pre mark the table with appropriate ware for the course) I inspected my son's dish and found the salmon being completely spoiled, we returned the dish and swapped it for the beef forestier, that after a few minutes of the chef slamming and swearing and a bit more barehand tossing and tasting it came out STONE COLD! The place is missing is a professional chef who knows how to run the expensive equipment that the kitchen carries and cares about people safety and know what to do with food in a professional kitchen at a high level. Once you start charging high prices you need to live up to the expectation and they fell way shorter than we experienced the previous visit and expected last night! I had the pleasure to meet the owner Francoise a nice gentleman who obviously felt bad about our negative experience, and while I appreciated his empathy I cannot believe he is carelessly minding his own business, in his own restaurant while his unprofessional staff is mishandling his business itself, it's borderline "suicidal ". The 50% discount offered didn't mitigate the terrible representation and reputation damage that his subpar staff who he picks and train and the extension of his vision and poor execution all this explained why a beautifully designed restaurant ideally nestled on the bay with the most enviable views in Miami Beach is absolutely failing with an empty restaurant and moody chefs. My wife was very ill all night, clear food poisoning signs!

Amaretto Sour Mocktail. We could not cross the sidewalk to see the waterfront view.

Came here for an event in hopes of good views and a good time. A damper on the experience was the staff corralled the group into a specific area and would NOT let people walk around or wander to see the waterfront view. They policed the group the whole night, although the group was who was bringing in business as there were only two other tables in use in the whole restaurant from 7 to almost midnight. It was very empty. The only upside is that they offer fun mocktail options such as martinis or amaretto sour. The Amertto Sour almost tasted like the real thing and was good but they filled the glass with way too much egg white and very little drink which felt unfair and overpriced for something that doesn't have any alcohol. I probably would not come back, not worth the location and the offerings. The decor is nice, but again the place was empty. The space for the waterfront view is very small and you are not allowed to walk up to it, much less take photos with your S.O. or guests. It felt very stifling.

View from the outside dining area.

This restaurant not only has exceptional food, in a sumptuous environment, it also has a team of host/hostesses and wait/bar staff who are committed to making sure you enjoy your meal. Thanks to Lee, Ari, Alejandro and Francois and others who are wonderful. We will keep coming back, and encourage anyone to try eating here.

Meet me at Pamplemouse every day for lunch and sunset dinners. I recommend to sit with Alejandro and Gerbert.

We attended the silent opening to the newly open restaurant! Upon entering you are wowed by the decor with a wall at the entrance paying homage to the fruit tree pamplemouse, just like its name! We were guided thru the beautiful dining room and seated outside with the mesmerizing waterfront view. It was a beautiful night with sunset views as we sat for dinner. We were greeted by our friendly server and shown the selections for the night. We started with the black mussels with chorizo and served with crispy toasted bread, cut in bite sized pieces to dip in the sauce. The flavor was delicious and just the right amount of sauce to dip our bread. We moved onto our main entrees: yellowtail hamachi, scallops, truffled fries, and skirt steak with chimichurri. The yellowtail hamachi's presentation was beautiful with a taste of salty and sour and fresh fish! Absolutely delicious! The scallops were grilled to perfection and melted in your mouth. The fries were perfectly cooked and with a touch of truffle, yummy! The portions were great! What a wonderful evening overall! If you are in west avenue and looking for a wonderful date night place or to take in the waterfront views by the bay with delicious food then you must give them a try!

Wonderful atmosphere and great food ! Mediterranean food at its finest. The staff is wonderful and it's a real pleasure dining there in front of the water. The sunset are incredible and it's perfectly paired with the amazing cocktails they have here ! Himachi crudo was my favorite !

You know how some restaurants blast music so loud you end up yelling at the table? Not here. The music was at the perfect level where we could actually talk and enjoy each other. Any time I needed something, someone was right there to help. No chasing servers down, no attitude, just genuinely great service. Now the food. 20 out of 10. Honestly, everything was delicious. Not a single miss. The drinks though? 100 out of 10. Dangerous in the best way. Our waitress, I wish I remembered her name, was incredible. Every recommendation she made was spot on, and we loved everything she suggested. I would absolutely recommend this place, but part of me wants to keep it a secret because the vibe is just that good. If you're looking for amazing food, great drinks, and an overall great experience, this is it.

When we arrived we were greeted and promptly seated inside at the back wall in a booth. There was another couple to our left and one or two others across the room at other tables. The couple in the corner who was seat next to us proceeded to talk extremely loud and had several FaceTime calls with their children as if they were in a private location and not a restaurant. Our entire meal consisted of listening to them in the phone and talking so loud to each other and their server we could hear every word! This rude and annoying behavior overshadowed the meal and left us very frustrated and annoyed. If you are going to require certain attire (although several guest came in while we were there who had on shorts and flip flops) and charge very high prices, you should have a cell phone policy in place and redirect guest to step outside or leave if they feel the need to FT their family for 20-30 min. We spent well over $200 on a meal for two and it was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. The enjoyed the food we ordered except for the French onion soup which I sent back. The Burrata Caprese was fresh but could have used a few more tomatoes and my husband really enjoyed his steak. I chose not to order anything once my soup was returned because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Over all the service was good and most of the food was too. Unfortunately, there are those who'd have no regard for their environment and those around them which makes others experience negative! The manager and severs were aware of what they were doing too as they walked by a few times and looked at them. But failed to intervene and for that they get two stars.

We asked to sit downstairs where the DJ starts around 11PM. The energy was great with incredibly comfortable and spacious seating. There was a 2 hour limit at the table, but we moved to the bar after our meal. Loved the caviar potato as an appetizer, and the beef tenderloin literally melted in my mouth. The downstairs scene gets pretty loud just an FYI. Service was top notch. Seems pretty trendy and mainstream, but definitely worth it.

Let's start with the good, because credit where it's due: the food is genuinely excellent, particularly the fish and seafood, which were the clear stars of the spread. And our server, while I'll get to a quibble shortly, was fun, warm, and thoroughly professional. Now the rest. Brunch should feel like a leisurely indulgence, not a contact sport. The meat station had a queue of 20+ people at peak -- I came for great food, not a deli ticket. The space is crowded and genuinely hard to navigate. Champagne required actively hunting down a server, whereas the Setai simply leaves a bottle at your table and lets you breathe. Coffee is $7 a cup -- at a brunch of this price point, charging for coffee feels a little cheeky. Then there was the pacing. Well before our two hours were up, our (otherwise lovely) server began the gentle wrap-up and produced the bill -- which is a curious energy for a "linger and enjoy" brunch. And we were charged an extra 2% as a "large party" of seven... at a buffet. Where we served ourselves. I'm still working out the math on that one. If you want a beautiful setting, live music, better drinks, attentive service, and zero queues, the Setai brunch wins -- every single time. Mila, save it for the nightlife.
