Home Depot - Saved this Christmas Cactus from the clearance section. Only $2.

The Long Version: So it's a Home Depot, essentially a hardware and home improvement store. Generally not my cup of tea, but I've recently gotten into plants. And they have plants. Nothing too exotic, just the usual regular plants. They had lots of plants on clearance early February. I picked up a Christmas Cactus for only $2. Most were in pretty bad shape but I found one that wasn't too bad. We paid via self-checkout and it scanned in at regular price, so the staffer had to help us. He punched in the right price and off we went. As we were leaving I said to my husband that we should have grabbed a paper bag (they have them by the cash register and Home Depot is one of the few places that still provides free paper bags). The staffer overhead me and rushed over and handed me a bag. How nice is that? I placed the plant in the bag to protect it in the trunk of the car. My husband enjoyed poking around looking at tools and other boring-to-me stuff. Haha. I enjoyed looking at the plants, especially the clearance section, lol. This location is in a plaza. Lots of free parking in the plaza. Review #62 (2025)

While it looks beautiful and is exactly what we wanted, the workmanship (or lack of) is beyond AWEFUL!. The rep is coming this afternoon and will give her a chance. Here are the beautiful pictures! I would give them a minus 5 stars if I could. The company who did the work for Homedepot is Cedarwoodwork. Stay away from them!

I enjoy browsing JYSK online and have done numerous curbside pickups during the pandemic. I was in…read morethe area and decided to venture in to see what else this store offered. Upon walking in, it's just a lot. Where do I go? What do I look at first? There are a lot of products thrown at you at once. I guess you can say, they really do take advantage of every square meter in the store. The store is hard to navigate, and trying to get down the aisle are tight. They do have some cool products, but the prices are not as competitive as they used to be. A regular priced product I was looking at last month is now $10 more now. I do appreciate that they sell items dedicated to smaller spaces, I just don't think the quality is there for a lot of their items after getting a closer look at them in store.

Lots of the mirror were in the boxes and I couldn't see what they look like. There was only two cashier in the mirror stand is right there. I tried on the few occasions to get someone to help me but since there was only what seem to be 3 staff I could only wait. The line at the cash was getting longer and longer and I didn't feel like even after 45 minutes I would be able to get any help. I am usually very patient but I felt like I was in the way of people who just wanted to come out. So after that 45 minutes I simply walked out with no mirror. I don't know if the price will change but there will be a better day. Jysk is a great store to get furniture at a good price. Today was probably just one of those days.

They ignored this completely and instead wrote "Rear only" on the contract. This section was no more than 15 square feet and they charged us $699 HST included for this small portion. A previous contractor had quoted us $700 for both the front and the rear. We only went with Sky High because the other contractor was unavailable at the time. When I questioned them about the fact that they disregarded what my wife had told them, they basically said my wife was lying and that she should have read the contract better. While I do not dispute that the contact should have been read better, the way they treated me and the disparaging comments made about my wife were completely uncalled for. They then suggested that I wasn't going to pay my bill. I have never not paid a bill and for them to say that I would even do that is some of the worst customer service I have ever received. All in all this company has the worst Customer Service I have ever seen. They were constantly cutting me off as I was trying to talk to them. I would never recommend them to anyone.

So Yelp keeps prompting me to write a review of this place, so here goes. It's a HomeSense (which…read moremy American cousin says is called "HomeGoods" in the USA) so it's like the Winners/Marshalls/TJ Maxx of housewares. In other words, brand name stuff at discount prices. So needless to say, I love it. This particular location is physically connected to a Winners. They have separate entrances, but inside there is no separation. On the Winners side they have clothes, shoes and jewelery, stuff that HomeSense doesn't sell, then in transitions to items that both stores carry (Winners pretty much carries everything that HomeSense carries but just less selection). The checkout is the same for both stores. Selection is the same as other HomeSense stores. I don't find that there's anything too special about this location. It's in a strip mall so there's lots of free parking. Same strip mall as Michael's, Value Village, and the LCBO.

I find if you go on a Thursday/Friday, the place is pretty stocked in anticipation for the weekend rush, although it can get pretty busy here, so keep that in mind. Getting in to the store is pretty easy, but getting out may take a while. Just like other HomeSense/Winners locations, they have that long maze that you get trapped in to get to the cash full of last minute impulse buys like candy, chips, soaps and little knick knacks. Expect to wait a while, as there is always a line up here, regardless how many cashiers are working, there are just too many people all the time waiting to check out. I do enjoy the large baby/childrens section. I always have at least a couple baby showers to go to a year, and birthday parties to attend, that it can get pretty pricey. I always find cute, affordable gifts for friends here at half the price if compared to places like babies R us or buy buy baby. If you love HomeSense/Winners and can spend hours looking at all their neat items, this would be a gold mine for you!
