I didn't like how cluttered that hallway is though. I hope they clear away some of the restaurant supplies from that hallway to the bathroom. The women's washroom was clean. However one of the cabinets in the washroom was full of dust on the top. It's kind of strange because the toilet & sink itself were very clean. My favorite thai restaurant. I am a repeat customer (and reviewer...this is maybe my 3rd review because i tried different dish). Ordered: 1.padthai ...it never dissapoint. it hit the spot! it has nice tamarind flavor with subtle sweetness from palm sugar(authentic recipe!).very generous serving...squeeze lime to brighten up flavor. 2. tomyum noodle..wow..i like the type of noodle being used (which happen to be my favorite type. just dont know what is it called). broth is on point!!generous serving and beef. taste is 'real' (usually i eat tomyum instant noodle...lol). 3. fried pork jowl...this is new menu (the day we came was the 2nd day they try out this dish). wow..thats very refreshing and unique. crispy and juicy pork jowl..poured in some sort of pickled salsa? so it has bit of nice pickled juice on it too. for every jowl i eat, i 'drink' the pickled juice+bite the 'salsa'. that WAS REALLY good! refreshing...not 'picklish' overpowering.such a good balance after eating bit stronger flavor (from padthai tamarind and tomyum). in the past, every thai restaurants i go to, the pork jowl is served as is...with spicy chili thai on the side. so that pickled-juice poured over it is such a game changer(and much better than typical spicy chili thai). A new location opened up in Thornhill on Disera Drive near the Promenade Mall. When we went they were a week into their opening. We were told they were still working on the menu and were provided with QR codes to access the menu they did have to offer. Good choice of your standards all Thai food items from your curries to rice and noodles. We ordered a red curry with chicken, pad see eww with beef and the soft shell crab fried rice. On the night we went they also had a special on buy one get one free Thai Ice Tea. Food is good and flavourful leaning slightly towards almost too salty. The tea was too sweet. I love the mural, along with kitschy and funky decor. Tables are basic with napkins & silverware on the metal tables. The menu is pretty diverse, but I was craving some of my favorites: the papaya salad and the Pad Kee Mao. Once we ordered the food came pretty fast. The papaya salad was kind of disappointing... papaya pieces weren't fully cut, and there was a lot of the dressing but it lacked that bright fresh flavor. My partner enjoyed it but I have had way better. The Pad Kee Mao was delicious, definitely some spice even though we got the mild version. Sweet, spicy, tangy and super fresh! This is my most favourite takeout in North York area. Every time I'm lazy to cook or returning late from somewhere, I grab my food from here. Price, taste, portions and speed...everything is awesome. This time I tried Vegetarian Islamic Noodles. As usual, the taste was phenomenal, however I found Islamic Noodles tad too heavy for my liking with all that peanut gravy. Maybe it's better when shared along with some other thing to break its richness. My favourites on menu continue to be Pad Thai and Khao Soi. My husband really liked his Pad Kaprao Kai Dow which is rice-based dish. It's non-gravy item but sufficiently moist that you enjoy the flavours. Went here on a Sunday and overall would rate the place 7/10 For the food, We got the Chicken Massaman Curry Beef Khao Soi and Papaya salad. The Massaman curry was flavourful, had lots of meat in it. It was a pretty good curry but I'd say not my favourite Massaman curry. Beef Khao Soi was good, the flavours were bold. Papaya salad was really good as well! A little bit tangy due to the fish sauce/vinegar but still overall really good. The service was good, we were seated right away and food came right away. Ambiance was pretty cool as they had paintings on the wall and made you feel like you were transported to a restaurant in Thailand. We got one thai iced tea as well which was good, tasted like regular thai iced tea. Our bill in total was about $100 with tax and tip. It is a little bit more expensive than we'd like to pay for Thai food, for the taste.. but would still come back here if we are even in the area and we are craving Thai food. read more

I do remember enjoying dining in wayyy back when.... I enjoyed the flavourful pad kee mao. The bamboo shoots and long beans worked well, but this dish is quite oily!! I got the crispy pork as the protein and definitely regretted that. I was expecting crispy pork, but this was simply the asian bbq roasted pork turned extra oily and much less crispy. The wings were good! Frito Misto is a pass for me on future orders, the squid were a bit bland. There are still a number of dishes I want to try here, so will give this place another shot. We stopped by here to pick up takeout and it was an ok experience. We ordered the Spicy Lover for 2 entree and this is what we thought. Tom Yum Soup: The soups tasted really good. I really liked how it was loaded with vegetables but I do not think they gave us enough soup for two people. The meal is for two people. Shouldn't we have received two soups. We received a small soup, which we poured into two small bowls. It was pretty much half a serving each and I truly think they were too stingy on the serving size. Pad Kee Mao Chicken: This dish was ok. Upon first bite, I didn't love it but as I continued to eat it, I enjoyed it more. It comes with rice noodle and is completely gluten free. It was quite a bit tangy and had a good amount of chicken. It could have had a bit more vegetables. I did really enjoy the bamboo shoots in this dish. Green Curry Chicken: The green curry chicken was really good. It had a spicy flavour and had a good amount of chicken. Once again there were a bit too few vegetable but the bamboo shoots made up for it. We ordered the mild and there were a lot of hot peppers in the dish. Tbh my expectations were quite high due to the reviews on this multi-location restaurant. However, the food fell short especially based on the rave reviews! What was ordered: Pineapple Fried Rice, Green Curry, & Chicken Pad Thai, the benchmark of any Thai restaurant. The "best" item was the fried rice and this isn't a dish that I normally order. Although flavourful, I found the Green Curry a bit on the watery side. I like my gravy thicker! As for the Pad Thai, I knew that it wasn't gonna be the greatest just based on the colour or lack thereof. Absolutely no wok hei and noodles were on the drier, blander side. Portion was more generous than the stated 2-3 portion, so I'll give them that! But would you rather have less portion, but more flavour OR less flavour, but larger portion?? Ordered a ramen and added a light soy which was tasty I got the veggie pad Thai, delicious and super flavorful. Nice large portion too. Came here on Sunday with my coworkers and so happy we did. The food brought me back to when I was in Bangkok. All three of us enjoyed the food and was stuffed HAPPILIY. Lily ordered the chicken/shrimp pad thai - was delicious, savory and one of the best pad thai we've had. The amount of peanut and spices was right on. Viv ordered the massamam curry - was delicious and the beef was super tender. I've ordered a bit of everything to share and take back to my husband. I've ordered the misto fritto, papaya salad, khao soi poutine and karee soft shell crab. Everyone enjoyed the papaya salad with shrimp. I wished they had the traditional salted crab which I was told was offered at the sheppard restaurant. It was still delicious and had a good amount of spice. I've loved the peanuts and how savory the dish was - great Umami flavors. My husband loved it but wished for the salted crab too. The misto fritto is their version of calamari but with baby octopus and fries. It was a-ok. I don't think I would order it again. The pieces were too big and I rather enjoyed the rest of the food infront of me. I think if it was fried a bit longer then I would enjoy it. the baby octopus was a bit too soft and chewy for my liking. I did enjoy dipping the rest of the fries in the left over khao soi poutine sauce. The Khao soi poutine is an absolute MUST. The thing is that you gotta eat it quickly before it gets soggy but super worth it. Great generous pieces of braised beef that is super tender and juicy. The curry is packed with layers of flavors and is my absolute fave to enjoy. The karee soft shell crab was aok. Most places I've been to take the time to remove the gills off of the crab before frying them but they left it in and it tasted too fishy and had a weird aftertaste. It came with three soft shell crabs in the karee sauce for 21 bucks. I don't think I would order this again. I wished they offered the soft shell crab by itself. It was still good but I wouldn't recommend when there are better things to order off of their menu. I cannot wait to try their pad kaprow which is also my other favorite thai dish. The restaurant is hip with a huge graffiti wall mural across the space and can easily accommodate larger groups. For 2 people, we ordered a morning glory to start. The fried spinach was surprisingly delightful with the papaya. You'd get different textures in one bite. Very refreshing and appetizing as a starter. We couldn't stop eating already. The Pad Thai came with 3 different proteins to choose from, shrimp, crispy pork or chicken. We decided to go with crispy pork and thought they reminded us of the Chinese bbq pork bellies. Green curry with Chicken had a rich coconut flavour and a nice kick to it. The portion was decent. We had some left over at the end of the meal.
