Food was great! No reservations just walked up with a group of 9 and seated right away. The view of the canals, people, historically beautiful Italy all right there. Can't really compare food yet since it's our first day here. I'm sure there is other mouth watering spots.

Service is attentive, risotto was Al dente, amazing view. Oh, and then there's truffle....

We loved it. Right at the Canale Grande, great food, we had Spaghetti Carbonara and Nero di Sepia. Pinot Grigio for Euro 5 was very nice. Service excellent. WIFI. Just what we needed for a scenic lunch break.

Good restaurant that is in a prime location with good seafood dishes! Food: ++++ I would definitely get seafood here, and you can't go wrong with some pasta to go with it! We got one pasta dish with seafood (mussels, shrimp, scallops), and another with clams. The amount of seafood you get is pretty decent. Location: +++++ This restaurant is located right on the side of the Grande Canal next to the famous Rialto bridge. While we were eating, we could see the bridge from our seats outside and enjoy the calming sounds of the water, and watch the boats and gondolas roll by. Staff: +++ The only downside to this restaurant is the wait staff. Not very friendly and didn't seem happy to be working. Price: €€ After looking at the menus of the different canal-side restaurants, this had the cheapest prices comparatively. Spent 34 € for 2 pastas with seafood, and a fish entree. Worth it? Yes, worth it for the great view while scarfing down some seafood!

Mushy veggies, let me know what you think they are!

YIKES Just go anywhere else. Way too expensive for what it is. I got the salmon. It was about 1.5 inches wide and tasted okay. The grilled veggies were just mush. Couldn't distinguish what type of veggies they were. Told them my issue with the veggies. They said that's how they're prepared. Basically: that's what you ordered, deal with it. Listen to the other bad reviews, way better places on the canal for what you get.

From the many choices of restaurants along the Rialto, we decided to dine at Caffe Ristorante Canal Grande because of one of their female staff who was very friendly and helped explaining their menu and specialties. As soon as we were seated, she served us small cocktails and pate appetizers on the house. We ordered their Turistic lunch special menu, pasta, gnocchi, and grilled fish. All of them were very flavorful, the portion was generous and definitively value for money. Their restaurant was well decorated and you can either dine in or dine outside by the canal. Overall, a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner by the canal.

    Free bread- stale though

Tourist trap - clearly! We wanted to sit by the water anyway because it was our last night and well why not live a little. Free bread for the table it was okay. Spaghetti with clams - lemony it was still good but not great Risotto with seafood- delicious flavor but really more like paella than a risotto Antipasto of boiled seafood- not worth I still don't understand how that was 17 euro for nothing View fantastic! Clam pasta is decent everything else I could live without. Good bye Venice!!

We decided to dine at a restaurant on the grand canal for our last night in Venice. After checking out the menus at various restaurants we chose this place. Bad decision! I wish I had locked up reviews for this place before going here. We went with their prix fixed menu. 14€ for a 3 course meal. The food here is disgusting! Everything tasted like it was previously frozen and just heated up. I had their spaghetti with cuttlefish and couldn't even eat two bites of the meal! The whole dish had an extremely fishy taste to it. My husband had lasagna for one of his courses. That too was disgusting. I've had frozen dinners that tasted better than it. Service was nonexistent. Stay away from this place!

I'd give zero if I could. Bland food and beware. They add on multiple fees!! 16% for service plus 4 euro per person to pay the musician.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
