Avoid doing business with Cancos. My order was supposed to be delivered in 6 weeks. Cancos is now 8 weeks late on this 6 week order, holding up the entire renovation. They don't communicate or explain the delay and offer no remedy to my client. read more

During COVID, I struggled to find a tile store that met my needs of friendly service, quality products and having people who would help guide me with how to select the right tiles. I had walked into many tile stores in the neighborhood with varying degrees of success. I was so lucky to have walked into Cancos, which had just been recently renovated; the showroom was gorgeous! The team at Cancos (Nate, Sara, Shondel and Billy) were spectacular. They helped me select beautiful tiles, guided me with what was the best way to have contractors install them, were there to answer my questions (I had many) and continued to do so even AFTER I paid for everything. When we ran short on tiles, they bent over backwards to help me get them in time. All this was during COVID when nothing was easy. I'm grateful that I found them and highly recommend this team and store. read more

Went to a Warehouse type tile store first; big mistake. Thank goodness my husband remembered Cancos. Within a short period of time, our customer service rep Christina at the HIcksville Showroom assisted, knew her products and what we would need for the contractor to complete the job. All we had to do was walk three steps to the warehouse and we were done. Nice location, beautiful merchandise and helpful staff. Kudos! read more

I won't be doing any further business with them. Their tile is over priced. I put a down payment on tile based on estimated not actual measurements. I was told I can change my order but wasn't told I could not on the special order tile. I spoke to the sales man about changing my order once I get actual measurements for a contractor and this was fine. However I ended up being liable for about $900 worth of tile. I don't like the way they handed my transaction. read more

Don't waste your time. I used cancos for my countertop and backsplash. Was told the entire process from doing the template to installation would take a max of three weeks. In the end it took more than 6 weeks. In addition the backsplash was cut crookedly leaving a space of 3/8in between the backsplash and cabinet. In the end cancos is not cheap so if your going to spend a lot of money go somewhere else that is more professional. read more

After visiting many tile and bath supply stores, I found Cancos to be one of the best. The showroom is just beautiful. The young woman who helped me, Shondel, was quick and efficient, listened to my ideas, and then presented a number of possibilities and samples of tile. She clearly knew how to design and was able to give me a number of options. I walked out feeling much more confident about what I would do for my bath renovation. This is the kind of business I would choose based on the service. read more

A true disappointment! Was very excited to shop at this store as it is a 2 minute walk from my condo and seemed to have received some good reviews.......... I entered Cancos showroom where the receptionist looked up at me and then immediately looked away, completely ignoring my entering of the business. Guess what, you are at the front desk of the showroom and is your duty to welcome potential customers.......... Maybe that is below you, who knows! Was in the showroom looking at product for at least 15 minutes as I could here Ms. Greeter welcoming all employees as they entered the shop. Throughout this 15 minutes not a single employee offered any assistance....... I then went to the rear of the showroom where it seems all of the offices are located and as I went into another area to look at more product a gentleman greeted me, I thought, but he was saying hello to an employee who was directly behind me. At that point I decided to go up to one of the glassed in offices where two hipster looking employees were chatting away to let them know the true disappointment of my experience from the time I entered the showroom.......... They seemed utterly shocked at this. I guess maybe if they were more tuned in to there business they would not be so shocked. There are plenty other businesses in the immediate area who will give good customer service! read more

Engaging in a major renovation of a bathroom and kitchen and searching all the tile stores in the area and beyond, I count myself lucky to have come across Cancos , but specifically having found Todd , salesman supreme. He has been exceedingly helpful time and time again through my project for my bathroom and kitchen, he has been great. They are a wonderful company with lots at terrific options, a wonderful resource. read more

The worst tile place I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with many. We needed additional tile and they said it would be in on such and such a date -the date come and goes and apparently I needed to call to ask for the time to be delivered to the site. A separate call to request delivery of tile even though all former tile was written up and delivered to site. absolutely the worst. read more

Cancos tile is such a beautiful store!! I had a lot of issues finding what I was looking for when remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms. I did not know what I wanted but when I went into the store on 21st, the manager Billy helped me created exactly what I wanted. I was very impressed with his patience, and assortment of tile. Not to mention he had a variety of tile in every price range. I give this store 5 stars, and will definitely refer my friends. Since they have more than 1 location, this made it easy for me to remodel my home in East Hampton. read more

I visited the East Northport showroom yesterday. I am considering replacing entry-way tile and kitchen/den laminate with tile, a complicated task. I took my countertop and paint samples along, to help me identify candidate tile. There was no one on the floor, which was fine, because I was only browsing. Another couple had come into the store ahead of me. The flooring in this store consists of samples of many kinds of tile, which allowed me to take pics of tile and my samples together. I also looked at all the other displays. By the time I was done, probably half an hour later, a salesperson was talking to the other couple. When they were done he came to me. I was interested in a particular floor sample - a slate-look tile with subtle coloring - and asked for information. He said that particular tile was discontinued. How was I supposed to know that? He pointed out that there was no sticker on that sample area, that they are removed when the tile is discontinued. I had noticed that various areas had whole, partial (worn) or no sticker, but figured that was just wear and tear. He commented that it would take a lot of effort to remove discontinued samples from the floor, and I can certainly understand that. But for the sake of customers on their own, Cancos needs to provide signage that samples on the floor are available for purchase only if they have a sticker (which I saw consisted of several letters only). Or, even better, mark the samples of discontinued tile as such. Showing floor samples on the floor is very helpful, but only if that practice does not become bait and switch. With this information, I went around the floor again to review the samples I had liked and photographed. All of them were discontinued. The salesman had not offered to show me anything similar to what I liked; I guess I was supposed to ask. Since visiting Cancos was a complete waste of my time, I will not go back. read more

I was looking for tile for my bathroom and after visiting several tile stores in the area, I decided to use Cancos. I immediately was impressed with Peter, the sales consultant. I didn't have much experience choosing tile but he was extremely knowledgeable and gave great advice. He was quick to respond via phone or email with answers to all my questions and delivered the order on time. I couldn't be happier with my result. read more

After a seemingly endless search for tiles for my kitchen back splash, I'm glad I discovered the Cancos Tile store on 21st Street. Walking in we could see there was a big selection of tiles. The branch manager Bill greeted my wife and I and showed us several really nice ideas that matched our taste and how are kitchen looked. Going in, our issue was we felt we had a kitchen that was a bit too plain and boring. In a matter of no more than 10 minutes, Bill helped us zone in on a few tile and marble combinations that gave us the extra bit of color and style we needed, without being overly flashy. Once we figured that out, he made it real easy by matching up the grout and sealer we needed. It was a really good experience overall; great selection, knowledgeable sales person, and I never felt like I was being rushed or pushed into something that didn't make sense for us. If I ever have to renovate my kitchen again, I'll definitely stop by Cancos. read more

Concos was a complete disaster for me. I bought tile from Jordan after he told me it was in stock and would be delivered in 5 days. I scheduled my contractor, leaving an additional week for issues. I had to follow up with Hildee to find out that the tile was on back order from Italy. I had to follow up several times to find out the status of the order. I was never called or emailed by Concos letting me know of any issues. I had to call them. No email messages were answered. I was told the order would be delivered today. I got my first pro-active call from Jordan this morning letting me know it was on the wrong truck and wanted to let me know it would be Thursday. I insisted he deliver today and they used an outside contractor to do it. Jordan never apologized for the inconvenience. These guys are just distributors of a product that many places sell. Go somewhere that cares about service. read more

We are renovating our apartment. Following the recommendation of a friend, we went to Cancos. When we arrived, we found that Cancos offers wide selection of tiles. We spent good 2 hours at the shop in Manhattan to make our selection. We were very impressed with the knowledge, personalized customer service and professionalism of sales consultant, Todd. He presented several options for our kitchen tiles and gave us a reasonable price. He was very patient and discussed with us our selection even beyond business hours. At the end of the meeting, we immediately placed the order and made 50% deposit. Unfortunately, few days later, we had to cancel our order due to unanticipated changes in the kitchen design. We emailed Todd and he responded to us swiftly even it was his off day. Not only was Todd very understanding but he ensured that our deposit was fully and quickly refunded (also thanks to Shondel who processed the refund). Cancos should be at the top of anyone's tile company list. read more
